Stacks Bowers Galleries is auctioning off a few NastyFans Minted Seats this month.  This might be something to keep an eye on as I don't think these coins have been auctioned off in this setting before.  It might also be useful for gauging their value in 'the real world' outside of our little community.  Live bidding begins Mar 24, 2023 which is where the real fun could begin.  Interested bidders online have until then to register an account and make a bid.  Might be worth it for those who have asked about purchasing Minted Seats using traditional fiat currencies.

Sign in and click "history" button. Then click "show details" button in donations section. That shows amount you received for each distribution.

Also on "home" screen you see your "on hold" total increase each week. Payout threshold for online seats is 0.0005 BTC. Payout threshold for minted seats is 0.001 BTC.

I noticed that on the nastyfans website the last confirmed sale is showing as 0.00045000 BTC per seat.  I wanted to drop a reminder that in March of 2021 I stated the following...

NastyMining or myself would purchase up to 15 BTC of seats at 0.0005 BTC per seat (currently worth $833,250) if anyone was interested. That offer will put a floor under seat prices in BTC terms which is something I think people have wanted to see with this organization for a long time.

In the time since NastyMining has purchased ~2,000 seats from the public auction.  While the main goal was to give potential sellers liquidity to exit NastyFans if they so desired, the secondary goal was to "put a floor under seat prices in BTC terms" as that has been a common complaint over the years. 

I am now increasing that offer to buying an unlimited number of seats at a price of 0.00055 BTC per seat.  This marks a 10% increase in the floor price for NastyFans seats and anyone who wants to take advantage of this offer needs only to list their seats on the auction at nastyfans.org and drop me a message letting me know they've been listed.

I don’t believe that would be a good idea currently. NastyPool hasn’t been operating for some time. The splitting and takeover of the p2pool project soured my personal taste for it a bit and there’s been no development on that front that I’m aware of for some time. I actually think a majority of the tabs on nastyfans.org should be removed as they don’t display current information and confuse more people than they help.

1. Yes. If you buy a seat on the auction, you are buying it from another member.
2. Yes. There is no limit to the number of seats a member can own as far as I’m aware.
3. The seat is transferred out from your account and onto the coin so it then receives its distributions (separately from your account) to the coin’s address.

I don't think fees are the reason that distributions aren't going out.  We haven't sold many coins lately and haven't been mining anything for a while now.  On that note, I've decided to get a miner going for NastyMining and it is currently up and running at around 3TH/s but I don't see this making much of a difference in the distributions.  It is an Avalon Nano 3 and we were able to get it shipped with a power supply for $162 with early bird pricing.  I also took advantage of the current low network transaction fees to consolidate our coins while I had access to the wallet.

I can't say for sure.  This would be something that naypalm would have to answer.  It appears that his Casascius coin analyzer is still running, so maybe a process he had running failed or needs to be restarted.  Just a guess...  The data he uses to build that site is still available at: https://nastyfans.org/mint.json

I've also been made aware that there is a delay in processing transactions from the online auction, so my advice would be to hold off on purchasing any seats at this time until whatever is causing the delay is resolved.

My assumption was that it is the number of seats for that coin, but type=1001 has 50 listed items, which would imply 50,050 seats, which exceeds the published 30k limit.

That is a good question. The type doesn’t directly correlate to the number of seats on a coin but is selected as an identifier by nonnakip. I could put together a type<>coin mapping if nobody else wants to take up the challenge and it would be useful.

I decided the Avalon miner isn’t mining enough to make an impact so I set it up to solo mine. That adds some excitement as we can now hope to beat the odds and score a block reward for ourselves.

Yes, that would be extremely helpful - The numbers for the Nasty Fans look weird right now (at least, against the collection titles) - Happy to update those to reflect the type data more accurately once it is available.

Forum user VKBIT has created a cool interface for CKPool so we can see some statistics about the current solo mining operation. It shows the odds of us hitting a block with the current hashrate which is a cool feature. Now we just need to find a way to beat the odds and generate some excitement.

I sold my seats via nastyfans auctions and OgNasty bought em on June 19th 2024.
I got locked out of my Nastyfans.org account because of not owning seats.

[Week 17] UNTIL TODAY I DID NOT RECEIVE MY BITCOIN.

OgNasty is very responsive and friendly, but pointing to Nonnakip when it comes to controlling the funds. Nonnakip does not react to any messages.

Have I simply been scammed out of my BTC?
Any similar experiences?
Does anyone have any idea why nonnakip is not reacting?

Help is highly appreciated. Not all of us are millionaires

This is a situation I’ve been aware of and reached out to nonnakip several times. I made this post when I became aware something was up.

The response I received is that he is working on it in the background. I don’t believe this level of communication is what is deserved by the participants of this project. I’m still waiting for him to give me the list of winners from our coin giveaway. I have offered to take over the ownership list and can attempt to run this project manually until a solution is found if that is what it takes as I am not sure how nonnakip feels about this project these days.

I’d love to take advantage of a potential Bitcoin bubble next year to do things that we’ve discussed on this project for years like getting a Tesla Robotaxi and using its revenue to buy BTC for distributions. I think we may see a 4-year top again next year, which would also be great to cash some out and put into an interest bearing account to pay for having miners hosted at a level I cannot do at home. With a more stable stream of funds we could set aside a portion for buybacks and allow the price of seats to rise… This project could have a bright future. We just need to Make NastyFans Fun Again. #MNFA

Since you're the purchaser of this guys' "seats", it sounds like you should just pay him out of pocket and then have your "President" reimburse you... The issue you're referencing was from 3-4 months ago; nonnakip hasn't even logged into the forum this year. Weird to put the blame on anyone other than yourself.
