as an official nasty fan I would like to request full accounts, P&L and balance sheet for the security for Financial years 2013/2014 and management\preliminary accounts for this financial year.

nastyfans has no costs for members. Bitcoin sent by individuals to purchase seats is sent directly to sellers in full amount. All donations sent to nastyfans are distributed to members in full amount.

The official donation address for nastyfans from 2012-12-09 to 2013-06-23 was 1EwtTKJaXAtctSFqCQKU3LiCg9dqYPEkxN. That address received some donations later and was used until 2014-09-05. All transactions sent to that address then and now are donations to nastyfans. That total is blockchain visible 166.14730886 BTC.

The official donation address for nastyfans since 2013-06-27 is 1NastyFRkeUTmMdbMmzggDVTQA6r3ibUoX. All transactions sent to that address are donations to nastyfans. That total is blockchain visible 478.26023408 BTC.

The total blockchain visible donations are 644.40754294 BTC.

nastyfans reports total donations received at 725.60538763 BTC. The extra 81.19784469 BTC is not clearly blockchain visible because it is from percentages of NastyShop sales that were agreed by NastyShop sellers as donations to nastyfans. I do have NastyShop sales records and agreed donation percentages/amounts at time of sale but these records are not publicly available. I agree they should be and I will investigate efforts to provide this.

The donations distributed each week are visible on "donations" page when you sign in. Click on "show past distributions" to view all distributions since begin of nastyfans. The formula for distribution per seat is stated in nastyfans policy. (Note this formula changed several times in nastyfans polls: 2013-04-25, 2013-12-20, 2014-04-05, 2014-09-13.)

If you find any errors in donation distributions please post them here or send me PM. I am happy to correct issues. I am not aware of any members that are unhappy with my duties as president. (If yes please say so!)

it is of great concern to me that one of my minted seats (purchased below store value)  has severely decreased in market price.

I feel that the owner and manager of this asset has either been falsifying accounts or mismanaged funds as 10BTC of savings is appalling for this asset and I request proof that Og has not been mismanaging finances and or profiting from activities to the detriment of the club

You mix things around. nastyfans seat holders are members of nastyfans. The prices you paid for your seats are based on auction prices set by other members.

The prices you paid to have seats minted are mint fees set by NASTY MINING. NASTY MINING agreed to perform physical minting of nastyfans seats at fees to cover the expenses.

The 10 BTC you refer to are NASTY MINING savings and is only related to nastyfans because we donate part of our received donations to NASTY MINING. Please read "about" page and "policy" page on nastyfans for details.

If you believe the value of this fanclub is falling then I recommend helping to make it better. What can we do to make nastyfans more fun for Bitcoin enthusiasts?

still doesnt answer my question about full accounts, my query relates to the under the table deals Og does for Hardware - sells one of the newest units to land then has the one in hand fail... if he doesnt run the place how come he can make decisions for selling tin off the cuff like that?

as for making NastyFans profitable its pretty simple.

1) stop making precious metals products that lose value in BTC.
2) Mine coins, both BTC and Alts.
3) invest a % of profits into Solid alt coins as a little hedge against BTC
4) have an experienced business manager make decisions - not some wanna be Gangsta rapper
5) invest time and money in direct relationships with hardware manufacturers
6) stop the manager of this asset trying to be a porn king.
7) Expand on your pool offering, market the pool as a profit generator.. OG/You praised your technical skills.. make a coin switching pool.. ride this X11 hype..
Cool invest in a more suitable location for the mining operation, AZ is a hot place this limits the amount of miners you can run -  go big and invest in a cold location not a hot humid place
9) change the way the auction on the site works - its shit it doesn't let people add bids

if you went through the above changes I guarantee you would be able to raise significant funds as an ICO.... but with Og's tarnished records of not paying back loans in full I feel that without the removal of his name from this place this asset will continue to fall in BTC value month on month

You still don't get it.  Start your own for profit project.  You are missing the point here.  I added the below line to the OP a few weeks ago, and it directly applies to you.

Ok so just to get this straight, you are saying that people wont make any BTC profit from Joining the club and it is just a fun way for you to fund your sausage fest boat parties?

If you believe the value of this fanclub is falling then I recommend helping to make it better. What can we do to make nastyfans more fun for Bitcoin enthusiasts?

still doesnt answer my question about full accounts, my query relates to the under the table deals Og does for Hardware - sells one of the newest units to land then has the one in hand fail... if he doesnt run the place how come he can make decisions for selling tin off the cuff like that?

Please read "about" page in nastyfans. NASTY MINING is a private operation of OgNasty. He is free to do whatever he wants and has no obligations to nastyfans. This fanclub exists to support him and not to control him. We have no control over him. He has no control over us.

If you want details about NASTY MINING deals then I recommend establising a friendship with OgNasty. Friends usually enjoy sharing private details with each other. I have no information about the deals except what is posted here. But I have no interest in that.

as for making NastyFans profitable its pretty simple.

I asked how to make it fun. Profits are not my goal. My experience is profit-as-goal destroys fun.

1) stop making precious metals products that lose value in BTC.

Please provide a example. I know no products that hold value in BTC when BTC is in massive deflation.

2) Mine coins, both BTC and Alts.

NastyPool merge mines Namecoin. In this thread in the past we talk about other Altcoins. We tried several. But the mining overhead (constant new work to miners) and maintenance overhead (for me) made it grossly undesirable. nastyfans does not provide me income. It is a hobby that I am honored to be a part of. It is my small contribution to Bitcoin.

3) invest a % of profits into Solid alt coins as a little hedge against BTC

This is a interesting idea. I will consider opening a poll for this. Thank you.

4) have an experienced business manager make decisions - not some wanna be Gangsta rapper

My duties as president are only to present the options. The choices are made by members.

NASTY MINING does what OgNasty wants. But he respects and listens and discusses with us about his future decisions. We are wise to not abuse his trust.

5) invest time and money in direct relationships with hardware manufacturers

I do not have time for this. If a member has a plan for this I can start polls to support the plan. Maybe some members have clear ideas here?

6) stop the manager of this asset trying to be a porn king.

I do not understand this point. Sorry.

7) Expand on your pool offering, market the pool as a profit generator.. OG/You praised your technical skills.. make a coin switching pool.. ride this X11 hype..

NastyPool in current form does not generate profits for nastyfans. It exists to support Bitcoin. In particular decentralized mining on P2Pool with multiple optimized P2Pool nodes.

8) invest in a more suitable location for the mining operation, AZ is a hot place this limits the amount of miners you can run -  go big and invest in a cold location not a hot humid place

In the past OgNasty did have miners in other locations. I do not remember why he abandoned the idea. I assume it was not profitable for NASTY MINING or else he would still do it.

9) change the way the auction on the site works - its shit it doesn't let people add bids

Supporting bids was discussed several times on this thread. We could not agree on a solution that makes sense. I refuse to be a bank and hold bid funds. So it is difficult to create a effective bid system. Please review past posts on this subject if you insist on pushing it.

I appreciate your input. In particular #3 and #5 are interesting to read. Thank you.

You are a cancer and not doing yourself any favors by attacking me, who has done nothing but donate time and energy to this project.  I think people appreciate my efforts and probably don't appreciate your harassment of me.

I am now officially asking you to stop posting on this thread and make your own thread if you want to bash NastyFans.

OG as your alter ego has opened a sensible line of discussion with me and this is a Fanclub page and not a Nasty Mining page I will continue to converse with him

@nonnakip

thanks for taking the time to read my suggestions, I feel the club is never going to grow and have "more fun" unless it starts generating BTC profits - this doesnt need to be the only focus but as the saying goes.. "anyone who says money does not buy happiness.. Doesn't fucking have any"

now I appreciate this place is about "fun" and the nasty brand - established 2012 has a nice ring to it in this early stage of bitcoin, but... as with any venture IRL there are certain skill sets needed to make something successful with longevity.

if NastyFans is truly separate from NastyMining then there should be no issues investing in other mining ventures which will bring a positive ROI to the club.

you commented that you don't have time for developing vendor relations and Og is obviously not a "people person".. so get the skills from other members, there are a ton of people in the mining subs who want kit. why not invest in an upcoming batch of miners - I know of a few people who have made serious coin on the initial D3 batch, that hardware sub is full of scammers.. how difficult would it be to get a direct relationship and offer a distribution model going.. I can guarantee some Asian vendors would bite the arm off a proper supply chain in the US... and they do say its the guys selling the shovels and not the miners themselves who truly make money..

The Fundamental flaw with the club is its ties to OG, he rates everything V the USD.... one of the few veteran members who does... I mean he even values his own personal Cas collection in USD!!!
for this place to move on and become a community that helps promote bitcoin you need a new pony to follow fella!

OG as your alter ego has opened a sensible line of discussion with me and this is a Fanclub page and not a Nasty Mining page I will continue to converse with him

Let me be clear. I do not approve of the harassment to OgNasty. I see your personal attacks in this thread as negative garbage. I respond only to valid points because other members maybe find my answers interesting.

if NastyFans is truly separate from NastyMining then there should be no issues investing in other mining ventures which will bring a positive ROI to the club.

The "about" page on nastyfans exists for purpose. Why can you not understand it? Let me highlight the most important information:

We as enthusiasts think it is great what NASTY MINING is doing and we try to help out when possible. To coordinate our enthusiasm we created nastyfans: the unofficial fanclub of NASTY MINING.

you commented that you don't have time for developing vendor relations ... so get the skills from other members, there are a ton of people in the mining subs who want kit. why not invest in an upcoming batch of miners

My president role is clear defined in policy. I am not manager or motivator or responsible for new ideas or responsible for generating profits. I make sure services run and start polls. That is it. We have many members that help with implementations and articles and hardware and donations and promotion.

If nastyfans should take any actions then first thing is a poll. Sometimes there are many polls because there are many following decisions. First what to do. Then how to do it. Then how to handle funding. Etc.

for this place to move on and become a community that helps promote bitcoin you need a new pony to follow fella!

If you suggest that nastyfans should not follow NASTY MINING then you do not take this fanclub seriously. You do not understand this fanclub. You do not belong in this fanclub.

Looks like our L3+ had an error and shut down overnight...  I updated the firmware, switched it to a new wireless access point, changed the network cable, and it appears to be operating again.  Hopefully this isn't an ongoing issue.  I'll try to keep my eye on it.

EDIT: My wireless network seems to be going a bit crazy.  After a couple hours of troubleshooting I think I've got it all playing nicely now.  Keeping my fingers crossed.  I have way too many wifi devices...

Or what's happening with the 'expected payout' it hasn't increased in sometime now...

Can I buy a Vowel or a Clue as to what's going on?

The expected payout is what you can expect to receive when p2pool hits a block.  It won't change much unless your % of the pool's hashrate changes.

The only place I find the word "expected" is on the NastyPoP payout rates page. That page shows only past payouts. The "vs. expected" column is based on math calculation of hashrate and compares past actual payouts against what a miner could mathematically expect from mining hardware at that time.

Thank you Nonakip for the response and your time on this matter.

Please note "expected payout" also appears here (i'll check the other pages and advise):

https://nastyfans.org/miners/

This is an exact copy of content:

NastyPool miners

This page lists the Bitcoin miners active on NastyPool over the past 24 hours. It shows the hashrate of each miner and marks accepted P2Pool shares. It shows the payout address and expected payout to each miner for the current P2Pool mining round. It shows the payout method chosen by the miner.

I am understanding that the Hash rate is low these days, I was only comparing my first 2 months of experience with NastyFans and/or P2Pool, with the last couple months where the "expected payout" seemed to CLIMB and then HOLDS whereas for the last couple of months, it hasn't climbed much at all, and it drops significantly.

i'm in full agreement with "not looking to make a fast buck" @ NastyFans or P2Pool, or Bitcoin Mining in general, i'm just trying to learn
how this 'all works' and get the proper perception via NastFans/P2Pool and you are helping to do that, thank you.

By any chance, is there anything available 'out there' where it gives a a visual as to how the whole block chain, and miners/farms, and blocks, and Block Rewards work on a Global/Pool/Node basis?

Thanks again as always to You, OgNasty, and NastyFans!

By any chance, is there anything available 'out there' where it gives a a visual as to how the whole block chain, and miners/farms, and blocks, and Block Rewards work on a Global/Pool/Node basis?

Your best source would be here: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/P2Pool
or the thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=18313.0

NastyPool is a p2pool node that offers the NastyPoP payout, which combines all participating miners and gives them an equal share of the reward to lower variance for smaller miners.

The us-east02 node is offline right now.  I was told recently that it would be getting migrated to a faster connection in the future, so that is my best guess as to the cause.

Update:
Our L3+ is up and running.  I have it on nicehash currently, paying out BTC to the NastyFans donation address.  You can monitor it here: https://www.nicehash.com/miner/1NastyFRkeUTmMdbMmzggDVTQA6r3ibUoX

Very cool, glad to hear that it is up and running!

Nice!  Happy to see the new hardware chugging along, always hate getting the things initially stabilized with new hardware.   Are we anticipating picking up any More L3+'s based on what we're seeing so far?

Also for some of the comments earlier concerning mismanagement - I'd just like to note as a long term member of NastyFans, I've not once had trouble or concerns in OgNasty's transparency or management decisions.  He's always been very open to addressing specific questions or concerns via direct messages.   I think there's been some frustration over folks who have invested in seats via bitcoin who have since seen bitcoin perform at higher levels than what the return they received from NastyFans.  To this I'd also note I "invested" 3 BTC in some alpaca socks many years ago, at the time it was an equitable trade made for something of value to me.  Yes, sitting on it may have been the wiser move, but as a NastyFan, I've invested in a long term contribution to the security and stability of the block chain.   The other thing for me, is that I've since long ago stepped out of the mining space personally, relying on folks like Nonnakip and OgNasty to take care of the day to day operations, and they've also continued to make the investments in new hardware and setting up the infrastructure to support all of this - and for this I'm very grateful.    We've been through a few rounds of discussions concerning management, and while I think it's important that there is accountability, this isn't and has never been a fly-by-night operation to fleece members - if it was it would have shut down years ago like so many other mining groups.

I'm not making any more purchases until we get our S9 back from warranty repair and we have our D3 up and running.  I am a bit curious if fans want to continue mining BTC with our altcoin miners to increase distributions, or if we should be saving the LTC & Dash instead.  Perhaps a poll is in order?

Poll sounds good to me, been a while since we've run a poll!

Is there an option to mine Monero with the hardware we have? It seems to me as one of the very few worthwhile altcoin projects!
