You have to add #xnsub to the pool server line for it to take effect. Setting 2 in the settings only makes extranonce subscription available for use, adding #xnsub to the URL enables it for the pool.

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

can anybody tell me please step by step, how to change it via ssh?

cd /var/www/SP2x/
sed -i  's/($i = 10; $i < 101; $i += 10)/($i = 01; $i < 101; $i += 01)/' settings.php

:d thank you very much.

Do I need to reboot the device afterwards or does it take effect when just restarting miner?

anybody knows how to set the fans lower than 10 Percent? Is there a way to ssh it?

ssh
vi /etc/mg_custom_mode

its right in there, change the value to whatever you like. (the Sp20 is very managable around 4%)

24" PCI-E cables with 16AWG wires and stripped ends - great for server PSU mods, best prices https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=563461

I just finished setting up my new SP20 Nano farm up in the basement.

I used a d-link DIR-615 with dd-wrt installed to make a client bridge and hooked all the SP20's up with ethernet from the router.

https://i.imgur.com/Lv4T3eI.jpg

Downloaded firmware 2.6.14, set voltages to 0.62 startup and 0.636 max.

Getting about 1125GH/s per unit at ~590W. Running 2 on a 1300W PSU and the other on a 1000W PSU. Fan speed at 20% seems to keep all ASICs at 85c and exit temps at 60c for the top shelf unit. You can't even really hear them at all upstairs unless you stand by the stairway.

Definitely pleased with this purchase!

So I have right now running 2 SP20 running off a EVGA G2 1300w. Theyre showing "wall watts at about 620-640 watts" each. Is it too much? They hash at about 1170-1190Gh/s.

The "wall watt" figure on the "ASIC Status" screen is an estimate, which is calculated using what the mining hardware knows about it's internal consumption. My limited experience of 1 SP20 shows that figure to be higher than what I measure at the wall. I run an EVGA 1000W G2 which I think is more efficient than the calculation anticipates.

I expect that your 620-640 would actually be under 600 at the wall if you measured it. I think you are fine.

Bitmain will be either releasing a new miner or an upgrade for the S2 shortly that they say will be drawing only .4 watts per GH at the wall.

Spondoolies is in the process of making their Gen3 hardware which will be more for industrial size miners but they said if the market is there for a home miner (which it is) then they will look at making a gen 3 home miner as well.

ASICMiner is designed their next gen as well but as long as it is better than the prisma and not such a fire hazard then it should be pretty competitive.

Its getting very expensive because of a monopoly of the technology, or lack or competition, or monopolizing the the industry because of trade secrets and cost of development, to mine a speculative crypto currency.
