I have 4 sp20. One is burned; magic smoke an smell is out from controller board. One with network leds blinking but I can't access and 2 full functional. I have a tp-link router; all miner use DHCP; the router do not assign an IP address to 3rd miner, only 3 IP, 2 to the functional miners and one for my laptop!
It sounds like TP-Link routers allow you to see the IP address it assigns to devices without the need of an IP scanner application; unlike my Apple Airport Extreme Base Station. This sounds like you definitely need to Skype with support. If they cannot even connect to it through Skype, they will make arrangements for refund, repair, etc...

Yes, I have in the webapp a DHCP list of clients connected on the router (cable or WI-FI). I am software engineer, I'm pretty sure I tried every method to acces the miner. From my electronics skills and after read the beaglebone black schematic the result is obviously: the ethernet controller is running (EM2803 make the ethernet leds to flash) and the processor or other devices (ram, emmc or power regulators) is faulty.

Does myminer.io show the rig and it's IP on "Your Miners" page?
If it does show an IP but you are unable to connect, you have a similar issue to what I had.
Download LanScan [or similar application] to scan for IP addresses on your network.
Once you do, you will find out the IP address myminer.io has given you does not even exist. However, you should see a new IP address on the device [At least in LanScan]. Enter that IP address in the browser address bar of your browser. If that isn't it, try another IP Address you see in the LanScan application or similar application until you find it. If you do not find it, do as Spondoolies said.
I use MacBook Pro's [not PC] at my house. LanScan, is an application I downloaded from the Apple App Store. If you have a Mac, I suggest you download that application. It is quite nice and it was free. They have a LanScan Pro that cost money but I did not get it. I didn't even need the Pro version to fix my issue.
You may have had your SP20E for a while and it is only now that this has happened. It is still possible for this to happen if you did not go static IP or you did not assign each rig an IP address [manually] while in DHCP like I did. If you have a power outage and the power comes back on [while using DHCP] it is quite possible your router assigned a new address to that one rig but myminer.io still says it was the previous IP.
My issue with IP addresses came up both times [when I first set up my 15 SP20E's and after a power outage when I did not have an IP manually assigned to each rig yet before the power outage].
Sometimes, after a power outage, I have to go to "Pools" and click "Submit" [Even though all my pool info is entered in]. Because the home page of the miner would say CG Miner was not working or "NA." Once I clicked "Submit" on the pools page [sometimes I clicked 2 or 3 times] the rig would begin mining and CG Miner would be "Running" on the homepage.
I hope this helps!
If it did, Happy Mining!
If not, do as Spondoolies Support suggested with Skype.
My miner does not get to the point of requesting an IP address from the dhcp server on my network, I do have a reservation for each miner. Nothing shows up on the log where I can clearly see the DHCP Discovery packets of other miners when they boot. Nothing about this miner appears on myminer.io. The controller board is simply dead. Thank you for your help dough. Anyone else has tried to use the serial port on the controller? I have a cisco serial cable that I can cut to change the RJ45 plug for an RJ12 one but I’m unclear of the wiring to make it work. I just need access to the bootrom (if it is still working) to work from there. No one else has tried this? Cheers.

I'm trying to restore my SP20E's firmware using the SD recovery method. How long is the process supposed to take? I'm supposed to wait until the green and yellow LEDs stop flashing back and forth right?
Edit: Never mind, got it fixed. Flashing indicates that the operation is complete.

Whoops, wasn't asking for advice on the power settings. BTW if you select any of the "Basic" settings, it auto puts those super high wattage figures in. Anyways, I'm happy with my current power to hashrate figures so not going to muck with those.
My pictures were intended to point out that I had the extranonce setting on 2 and was still seeing cgminer4.7.0 in contrast to what the previous poster mentioned. Trying to get that issue resolved.
As you have, plus adding #xnsub to the end of the URL and a restart worked for me on all miners. i.e. stratum+tcp://stratum.westhash.com:3334#xnsub I have used this config and It doesnt seem to work in westhash. Also, my miner has this config: CGMINER Version : NA what does that mean? I cant enable extranonce.subscribe What firmware level are you on? Did you update to 2.6.14? yes, I have the following FW Version 2.6.14 CGMiner Version cgminer4.8.0 How do I need to set the pool to enable #xnsub ? thanks

I waited for 15 minutes (to be sure) with no luck. The budu dancing didn't work either.

I waited for 15 minutes (to be sure) with no luck. The budu dancing didn't work either. Did you follow the instructions exactly? Instructions for SPXX miner recovery 1) Insert the sd card to the sd slot in front of the miner machine SP10 - with the metal connector facing upwards. SP2x - with the metal connector facing upwards. SP3x - with metal connector facing down. 2) Remove the power cord for 15 seconds and put it back in (especially important for SP35). 3) Wait for 2 minutes (*both* lights in front of the machine will start to turn on/off *alternately* in a Christmas Tree like fasion -Green ... Yellow ... Green... Yellow... Green... Yellow... ............. ). 4) Remove the sd-card from the miner 5) Disconnect the power cord for 15 seconds and put it back in. 6) Once the system is up, do SW upgrade from the webUI and update your wallet and the pool. The only thing I did differently besides using a higher quality SD card this time, was removing the SD card before powering the SP20 down for 15 seconds.

so stock it is only working at 1.4 TH/S not 1.7 TH/S as they listed ?
you have a choice of watt settings. 70 to 288 288 is max and will do more then 1700 maybe 1750 problem with this 288 x 4 = or 1152 watts very few pcie wires run well at that setting evga 1300 and evga 1600 can do 250 all day all night for months. I have done it with them. I have no other psu that will do that with stock wires. So if you want max setting of 288 to get your 1750 you are really pushing the machine Like I said it is their marketing decision. I would say this is a 1600gh machine and with a carefull overclock it does 1725. Since I set my machine at 180 watts x 4 = 720 draw or 750 at kwatt meter vs 288 x 4 = 1152 draw or 1300 at kwatt meter.
I don't care a single bit about the difficulty to reach max gh.I found this to be very true with gpus back in the day: you may get .5gh with a hd7970 and use 170 watts crank it to the max you get .66gh and use 300 watts. Hard on the gear hard on your ears . ( < That reads like porn not meant to) So I underclock and I am happy. Those looking to squeeze everything out of this machine will need really good pcie wires really good psu's and will be maxed under 1800gh for sure. where I live electricity is close to be free. I have a 850w EVGA (80 bronze plus) and a 750w Corsair. Do you think it's wise to have the PSU max to 265 ? Should I set the fan speed up to 100?

Help I have one SP20 I can't get online. I can access it over the IP, the box has neither light on, it simply says that the miner is offline, awaiting pool, rebooting, restarting, has no effect. How can I trouble shoot this? the Asic page doesn't load properly "The miner is not running or waiting for pool connection." Any idea's, what do I do next. I also have another miner with a downed section, it seems the plug is the issue. But which plug is for which? Thank You

Has anybody set a static IP address for their SP20? I found the "Network" section of the Settings page. As you would expect, the "Use DHCP" box is checked. When I uncheck that box, all the usual items for the IP address and other usual IP addresses on my network are set as you would expect from when it got them as part of the DHCP exchange. I then just change the miner IP address and leave all the other stuff as it was since it's correct. I hit the "Save" button. Nothing obvious happens. When I do anything else, the Netwrok essentially reverts to "Use DHCP".
Is this something I need to do via SSH, or am I just missing something on the Settings page to actually make it "stick"?

I did and it worked. Are you sure that you don't have an IP address conflict?

Do you have to reboot, or what? I do appreciate the comment. Also of note, the primary Spondoolies thread appears to be unlocked now.

[We don't cut corners (e.g. embedded controller, etc) and we use dc2dc which means that the BOM is higher.]
If you don't cut corners then why didn't you install an internal microSD card I had to go buy one in an attempt to revive several DOA SP20s. I had to go to 3 stores before I found a card and reader ($19) for this thing I'll never use for any other purpose. AntMiners have an internal SD card so one can reset factory settings by pressing a button.

I did and it worked. Are you sure that you don't have an IP address conflict? I had to enter my AT&T DNS server address and when I saved it the box displays #Your static network configuration instead of the actual DNS server IPs. Check to see if your ISP has its own required DNS servers.

It took effect as soon as you save it, if it can find your DNS server. Where is this primary SP20 thread I want to vent my spleen on it.

There was a blackout in my house. Now when I go to myminer.io I cant open my SP20 control page. I try ssh root@192.168.1.105I use the password root and I get the message "Permission denied, please try again." But when I get to westhash web page I can see my miner is working. what can I do to recover my miner management without restarting it? thanks
