One of my 4 SP20e recently behaves curiously.
They miner were shut down for about 4 days. I just plugged out the ethernet cables. Since yesterday I put them on again. 3 Started without any issues. One of them keeps rebooting. It seems that it finishes booting, but it somehow cant connect to the network. I already changed the ethernet cable but it wont help. When booted, the green LED is blinking fast. It starts with the same noise fan as I saved it too, but it doesnt mine. It also wont show up in myminer.io.
I dont know what to do?
Also I dont have a SD card here right now..
what were the settings? Were they like .63 volts or lower? It was a DHCP issue with my network I guess. I got the wifi signal repeated by another Asus Router, which is connected via ethernet to the miners. I didnt go lower than .645 in the settings. And that only for the one connected to a cx850 psu. The others were about .67 Yeah if you clock real low they can struggle to start. If you had them at 0.61, 0.62 or even 0.625 they may not start in your case it seems like you had wifi interference . wifi in the spring can be very nutty. as both spring and fall can do wacky shit to radio signals

4 posts back - Apr 16, 10:50 Dear Ed, We have reviewed your situation (DOA board was DOA) and would like to resolve the issue with your machine by sending you a fully tested SP20. This will save going back and forth (886hrs) about the different parts. I know you already sent the management board. Please ship the machine back to us at our cost and we will send you a new machine. I just emailed Barbara and asked about warranty - i hadn't thought to ask, but well done. Good question. Answered here - Apr 20, 11:12 Dear Edgar, Our warranty only applies to the customer who purchased the machine from us. If someone buys the machine from you our warranty does not apply to that person. This is stated in our Terms of Sale. http://www.spondoolies-tech.com/pages/terms-of-saleRegards, Barbara ------------------- Kind regards, Spondoolies Tech Support

I have two DOA SP20Es and several with DOA boards. They were really scraping the bottom of the barrel when they filled my order for 15 SP20Es.

We take pride of the quality of our units and service yet even our units have their limit, just like any other electronic device. Our customer service has RMA several units as I'm sure the forum members can verify, however we cannot cover damages that are caused by improper maintenance. Our team will continue to work with you as best they can to help you out and will be happy to continue doing so in the future. Regards, Gadi
Wow!!! What an unbelievable claim. I bought 15 SP20Es and I've been trying for over 2 months to get tech support. All I ever get is the run around from Barbara. I have no reason to believe that tech support even exists at Spondoolies-Tech. I wrote detailed emails explaining what I tried. Barbara keeps telling me I have to open a port and let you Skype me because I have 2 DOA SP20Es that have never booted into the user interface. Just what will letting you snoop around my PC tell you about a network device that cannot be recognized by my network When the 15 SP20Es arrived 6 of them would not hash. I found a cryptic FAQ called "MY UNIT IS NOT RESPONDING AFTER A FIRMWARE UPGRADE. HOW DO I RECOVER IT?" Even though these 6 SP20Es had never booted into their user interface and were not recognized by my network I gave it a try any way. I had to go to 3 shops to find this microSDcard with reader in the photography section and bought it for $19. I installed the image and managed to get 4 of the SP20Es running, although not fully. E.g., some are missing a board " or something" as the ASIC Stats report says: 2.6.14 Uptime:73146 | FPGA ver:100 | BIST in 19 -----BOARD-0----- PSU[UNKNOWN]: 0->(247w/247w)[247 247 247] (->247w[247 247 247]) (lim=270) 0c 389GH cooling:0/0xe0 -----BOARD-1----- PSU[UNKNOWN]: 0->(5w/5w)[5 5 5] (->5w[5 5 5]) (lim=270) 0c 0GH cooling:0/0xe0 -----BOARD-2----- PSU[UNKNOWN]: 0->(261w/261w)[261 261 261] (->261w[261 261 261]) (lim=270) 0c 401GH cooling:0/0xe0 -----BOARD-3----- PSU[UNKNOWN]: 0->(195w/195w)[195 195 195] (->195w[195 195 195]) (lim=270) 0c 351GH cooling:0/0xe0 LOOP[0] ON TO:0 (w:6544) 0: DC2DC/1/:[vlt1:712 vlt2:719(DCl:794 Tl:794 Ul:719) 99W 139A 64c] ASIC:[ 85c (125c) 1010hz(BL:1010) 3263 (E:193) F:0 L:0] 1: DC2DC/1/:[vlt1:716 vlt2:719(DCl:794 Tl:794 Ul:719) 100W 139A 74c] ASIC:[ 85c (125c) 1010hz(BL:1010) 3281 (E:193) F:0 L:0] LOOP[1] OFF TO:0 (test serial failed or something) 2: disabled (serial problem) 3: disabled (serial problem) LOOP[2] ON TO:0 (w:6733) 4: DC2DC/1/:[vlt1:710 vlt2:719(DCl:794 Tl:794 Ul:719) 106W 148A 71c] ASIC:[115c (125c) 1040hz(BL:1040) 3325 (E:193) F:0 L:0] 5: DC2DC/1/:[vlt1:714 vlt2:719(DCl:794 Tl:794 Ul:719) 104W 146A 89c] ASIC:[120c (125c) 1040hz(BL:1040) 3408 (E:193) F:0 L:0] LOOP[3] ON TO:0 (w:5733) 6: DC2DC/1/:[vlt1:667 vlt2:674(DCl:794 Tl:674 Ul:719) 86W 128A 84c] ASIC:[120c (125c) 960hz(BL: 960) 3018 (E:193) F:0 L:0] 7: DC2DC/1/:[vlt1:640 vlt2:642(DCl:794 Tl:642 Ul:719) 69W 109A 82c] ASIC:[120c (125c) 860hz(BL: 860) 2715 (E:193) F:1 L:0]

Please explain why SP refuses to RMA or refund (1J3p2htyCPucmJ1pNaCamsmKdZBbLwhBy5) my two (2) DOA SP20Es and what to do about the SP20Es with the dead board " or something". Not to mention the 2.5 months of lost production from 2 SP20Es plus a few partially functioning SP20Es. Order: SO1500241, Your Order: 4364, Customer Number: 101113 Gadi, Why don't you or someone at SP answer me I have not received one answer to any of my questions or my numerous emails to your company. I provided the PO numbers so you know I'm the one that bought 15 SP20Es directly from SP and have been contacting you for months. It appears you've gone out of business.

If you have other tickets open please share them either here or via PM. I also understand that you were asked multiple times to contact the support team via Skype and were also offered for them to contact you. The tech support team is the only one who can diagnose the unit thoroughly. Were they able to get in touch with you? Gadi

After paying for my order I received this email: After a successful burn-in test, we are happy to announce that your units were shipped and are now on their way to you. The units were shipped with Fedex. Please see attached shipping documents. A lot of work was put into designing, building, and shipping these units. We believe you will enjoy them very much. If you have any questions feel free to contact us at info@spondoolies-tech.com. Best Regards, Katya Penkar Sales Operations Manager Spondoolies-Tech LTD. So if this email was true and the 15 SP20Es worked when Spondoolies-Tech shipped them then they are so fragile they degrade and die in transit. Hi Miasma, The last email correspondence with you that I could find in our system is dated March 31 where Barbara offered to RMA the units but you have not responded. If you have other tickets open please share them either here or via PM. I also understand that you were asked multiple times to contact the support team via Skype and were also offered for them to contact you. The tech support team is the only one who can diagnose the unit thoroughly. Were they able to get in touch with you? Gadi Gadi, I do NOT call this an offer to RMA your DOA products. Barbara Greenberg (Spondoolies Tech) Mar 31, 08:55 Dear Miasma, If our engineers approve RMA then we will pay for shipment and replacement of the machines. If you do not wish to speak with our engineers then you can ship the machines back to us for inspection and diagnosis. If the machines are defective we will pay for shipment and replacement/repair. However, if we find that the machines work in our lab we will charge you for the shipments and the diagnostic work. Shipment is $119 per machine each way. Diagnosis is $95 per machine. I can either arrange a session with the engineer or send you shipping instructions. Please let me know which. Regards, Barbara ------------------- Kind regards, Spondoolies Tech Support
Why is it impossible for you people to answer a single question I've ever asked What will you get from Skyping me if your two SP20Es are DEAD and cannot nor have they ever been detected by my network How will you communicate with your DEAD products Why not a Ouija board instead of Skype I've been trying to get through to you people for months. You want to call me then call me. You have my contact info. I've read your documentaion and it says nothing about the error messages I've asked about. I have several SP20Es with dead boards. Why did you say you did a successful burn-in test on all 15 of my SP20Es and so many are defective. In fact, not a single one of them meets your advertised performance spec.

Wow!!! What an unbelievable claim. I bought 15 SP20Es and I've been trying for over 2 months to get tech support. All I ever get is the run around from Barbara. I have no reason to believe that tech support even exists at Spondoolies-Tech. I wrote detailed emails explaining what I tried. Barbara keeps telling me I have to open a port and let you Skype me because I have 2 DOA SP20Es that have never booted into the user interface. Just what will letting you snoop around my PC tell you about a network device that cannot be recognized by my network When the 15 SP20Es arrived 6 of them would not hash. I found a cryptic FAQ called "MY UNIT IS NOT RESPONDING AFTER A FIRMWARE UPGRADE. HOW DO I RECOVER IT?" Even though these 6 SP20Es had never booted into their user interface and were not recognized by my network I gave it a try any way. I had to go to 3 shops to find this microSDcard with reader in the photography section and bought it for $19. I installed the image and managed to get 4 of the SP20Es running, although not fully. The tech support team is the only one who can diagnose the unit thoroughly. Were they able to get in touch with you? Gadi SpondooliesTech gives BitCoin a bad reputation. Had I paid you with a credit card and you shipped me the two DEAD SP20Es I would have disputed the charge and gotten my money back. But with BitCoin you got paid upfront and just thumb your nose at me. You've ignored me me for months and have never answered a single one of my reasonable questions. You pretend as if there's some way you can diagnose the two DEAD SP20Es via Skype. Why don't you stop lying and tell the truth You do NOT stand behind your warranty. You lied to me and said you did a sucessful burn-in test before you shipped the 15 SP20Es and yet several of them failed to work out of the box. I had to spend hours reinstalling their firmware images. How does that constitute a sucessful burn-in Depending on what they do there is a lot they can tell via skype/teamviewer. They can see how the miner reacts, and also they are able to tell you to open it without voiding warranty since they are watching. I would say give them a chance on Skype, it's far better then paying shipping if they can get them possibly fixed from the Skype session.

I personally have always used 4 PCIe. Not sure if it's necessary on underlcocks. Does the 750 have 4 PCIe cords? Most likely it will try to get get work from a pool, and with using higher rate then the that one PSU can provide. I would guess it will shutdown. You might try to see if you can temporary unplug internet connect to the SP20 and underclock it. The no internet prevents it from getting work and give you time to underclock it. Let us know how it goes

what speed did you do? well take the dead psu off line. to get all 4 boards to work you need 4 plugs in so 1 psu will only run 2 of the 4 boards. move the good psu to the other 2 plugs as the ethernet/controller powers off only some of the plugs. I really want to know how fast you ran this gear. oh it will run over 1500gh and it will die and fuck up over 1500gh far more often then running at 1200gh now spondoolies biggest sin on this gear was to say 1700gh. I had 12 to 14 of this . IIRC and never pushed them over 1450gh no issues.

Our team has contacted you multiple times and requested to have a session to verify the status of the machines and attempt to debug the situation. These sessions have a very high success rate yet you have repeatedly refused to help us assist you. Even then, you have been offered to RMA the machines but have chosen to ignored our communication attempts. We certainly honor the warranty and would like to help, but we cannot do that without your cooperation. I again ask that you reply to the latest communication and proceed with the RMA process. For clarification, only communication with support@spondoolies-tech.com is documented and officially responded to. We do our best to answer questions asked on the forum but can only guarantee response to contacts to our official support email. If the issue is not resolved to your satisfaction after you respond to our communication, I will gladly take ownership of your ticket to see that the issue is resolved. We appreciate your support and cooperation, Gadi I just have compliment Spondoolies on their support here. I am glad to see such great customer service! My next rig has to be Spondoolies.

ime myminer.io is pretty pointless - none of mine show up there but Advanced IP Scanner finds them every time. with DHCP enabled they hop all over the place so try finding the IP using alternative means. if they power up but wont boot up, you will need to try the SD-recovery. Its a bit of messing about but has solved numerous issues for myself & others. http://www.spondoolies-tech.com/blogs/technical-blog/tagged/recovery-sdcardbest of luck & come back with good news! If i reboot they sometimes come back/show up temporarily. Its the same with the GUI - sometimes the graphs just disappear, sometimes a rebbot will bring them back but i rarely bother but it matters not - the miners run and that is all i concern myself with now. barely breaking even is wearing mighty thin though, and excessive downtime compounds that fact.
