Thanks again.

  I got my 7th and 8th sp20's today

I is running at 836 watts and 1385gh fan at 40 = .6 watts a gh  and it is a bit hot.  it is in the attached garage and with the rainstorm in NJ I have the garage shut so ambient temp is 87f

now the super under clock is in my spare bedroom   fan at 10 via ssh  and the db is 63

watts are 480 at the kwatt meter  and gh is 1028

    this is 0.467 watts

Current firmware version: 2.5.57

I look forward to the s-5 comparison.   for the first time in a while I think we are going to see a close match in gear.

There  is new firmware 2.5.58
yesterday was another 2.5.57
few days before again..

Smiley new version everyday. But i wonder if they have any sense to upgrade?
I install all upgrades till now i don't see any changing in performance.

I just want to see some info.
In technical blog there is info just for 2.5.54

Anyway i wish happy minning to everyone and merry Christmas !

I am running on

 2.5.57  = 2x machines
 2.5.54  = 6x machines

54 allows fans to go to 20 instead of 40 if you underclock
57 has reboot if your hash drops to low.
58 ?? i have not tried it yet.

updated to 2.5.58 (2.5.54 and 2.5.57 were not available, so I guess there is something not optimal about them)-was running on 2.5.33 before, so not sure what's new: minimal hash is set to 500, but could be changed, there is a FPGA setting, asic stats look slightly different.

Anyone know if I'll run into any issues with SP20 setup?  It will be on a 10.10.90.x network, but the computer I will be using to access that network will be on a 192.168.1.x network.  My IT guy has my miners on a different network than our main one, to keep some stuff off limits. I can typically just type in the ip address of my dragons, s3, etc and get to their interfaces.

It looks like the SP has a different web gui to do that.

You'll need to get the miner's IP manually (not through myminer.io) and then you'll be able to access the miner web UI

Wow, thanks for the quick response.  Hopefully they'll arrive Monday and I'll get to work on them.  Can't wait to compare them with a live S5 unit.  I've got to do some year-end buying for tax reasons and I'm down to these 2 choices.

Maybe I'll be a legendary by the next time you send out review units Wink

Yeah I'm pretty happy with my SP20.

First unit had to be RMA'ed, as it only had 7 out of 8 ASICS going, but even with that, it was pulling 1300 gh/s. They shipped me the new replacement unit as soon as I got a tracking number for the old one, so it was only a couple of days worth of lost hashing.

New unit, is pulling 1500 and change gh/s with 240/240/240/240 W per PCI-E cable, running on a 1000 W power supply.

I have taken it to 1.7 gh/s with 2 different power supplies, 2 x PCI-E cables each, with 270x4, but it loses efficiency.

I'm happy with one power supply feeding it with a slight underclock and underpower.

Would buy one again, but I don't have the power to run all my miners. I'm already running a cable from the garage, and a cable from the other room. Lol !

Sucking down juice from 3 circuits.

yeah and you have the sp20 in a spot that the loud fan works without driving you nuts.(a guess)

which is what the sp20 's biggest annoyance is fan noise.

Yes it is.  I have 7 running and 2 on the way. = 9 units  I have 1 s-5 coming it total of 10 pieces and just about 12th in hash.

I want to keep all of them but it is just a little over my power envelope.

Here in New Jersey it reached 62F on tues and the house got really warm 80f .

 This is with 7 x 600 = 4200 watts.

Even though I can provide the 6000 watts to run 10 pieces I am thinking it is just a little more then I should shoot for.

So I offered 1 sp20 for sale on ebay.

 I am hoping to run 7 sp20's and 2 s-5's = 9 pieces

When I look on Spondoolies website for the latest offer it says that if these are reshipped or resold the warranty will be void. Is the warranty nontransferable on this unit as well? I don't blame you on selling the value of these things is dropping like a rock considering they can be had for $500 free shipping if you buy 2.
