Ok guys, making a bold statement today:
We are back in a bull market now.

I identified 2 uptrends and I marked them both on the linear and on the log scale:

If we zoom out, ths is the result:

500 USD by the end of the year seems likely. But if we start following the exponential trend, even 1000 will happen Smiley
If we continue the current uptrend (started at the end of februari) we could even see 1000 USD in september!
The most unlikely case is that we are on a rocket exponential trend at the moment, in that case we will hit 1000 USD in june!

The lower of the two curves seems the most realistic path to me, assuming we are correct in having entered a new bull.

@dnaleor

I know, it's your thread, but if you make a bold claim, I hope you don't mind a reaction Cheesy

Not sure if I'd say it's a bull market yet. Probably too early to say that. But I do take the following as a pretty positive sign:

Weekly MACD and VWMACD are heading up again (green histogram). Still deep in the negative, but going up. Last time that happened was June/July (MACD) and November (VWMACD), but then, only at a time when the price trend already had lost all its steam. If price creeps up from here, or even consolidates in the current region, I'd take that as a solid indication that the trend is heading for ~400 (upper weekly BB) in the mid term.

Eventually, volume will have to pick up however. By my reading, volume looks better already than in June/July and November (the two failed breakouts), and like I said in another thread, I think the 2nd week of January volume looks quite convincing to me as a capitulation event, but eventually, volume on the green weeks has to confirm the price trend.

I already said that anyone i welcome to comment on price action Wink

Great analysis you did there. Indeed, volume is looking very good.
It's a bold statement, so I know I can be wring. But I think the chances of a spike below 200 USD is very slim at the moment.

Too early to say we're in a bull market, but short term at least it's looking pretty good. I'm curious to see what happens when selling pressure returns and how the buyers will react to that. If the demand is real then buyers will be hungry to gobble up these coins and won't allow the price to retrace too much, while the volume will be going through the roof. After that I think we can say whether the bull market is back for real or we need more time and more despair.
