Please, other players, let us know your opinion :-)

I'm not against changing the rules, but tell me... How would you implement the "2 trades in 24 hours" rule. When do the 24h start? I guess at a BUY order? When the next sell order comes within 24h, when is the player allowed to post a new BUY? 24 hours after the last BUY or after the last SELL ?

Just asking Smiley

The 8h rule is very easy to understand, that's why this is currently being used.

At most 2 trades within a rolling 24h window, maybe?

More precisely:

A buy or sell order can be placed only if within the preceding 24 hours at most one valid buy or sell order has been placed by the same player.

Means, you can buy, and then be able to sell immediately afterwards if necessary (stop loss), but then you're out for about a day.

Also means we have to look at the posting date of the last two orders to see if the rule is followed, but don't worry, the other traders will take care of that to rule out cheating by competitors Cheesy

The 8h rule is easy, the odakrell rule brings in new people.
(but can make other people leave who want to play a swing trade game)

15 hours until the activity check ends. I guess I'll implement increasing penalties:
1%, 2%, 4%, 8%, 16%, 32%, 64%, disqualified
the penalty resets when player is active again.

why increasing penalty and not just take 10% with every missed activity check?
Because that would make the median too volatile, which isn't fair for new and existing players.

Why not excluding someone after let's say 3 missed activity checks?
Same volatility argument applies + it would encourage people to 'accidentally' miss 3 activity checks and rejoin with the median score.
Disqualified means disqualified. No rejoining allowed (unless it's a respected community member who was in a hospital for several months or had another valid reason to miss the activity check Wink )

Just risk reduction, it paid off. This happened much sooner than I expected.
