I need some originating ip addresses of the emails and attacks.

You also need https migration features to protect against ddos.  Cloudflare has features like this.

I believe I have one of the attackers already identified,  please msg me when you have time. Smiley

so frustrated with bitmains website right now.  front page and product pages working fine.  Try and log in and cloudflare chucks a tantrum.  something with SSL connection.  Please fix issue bitmain.

Let me get on your server....I'll have them running away in 20 minutes, because every packet that makes it back will contain malware for their computer, not to mention being automatically blacklisted on the firewall for 6 months. Yes, the entire subnet. Been dealing with ipchains and firewalls for years. Very good at Linux security.

Not that I don't believe you, and I'm certainly not pretending to be a network specialist, but if it were that simple wouldn't DDOSing be a thing of the past?

Sad for the DDOS, but people always try to steal!

They should put their efforts in development rather than destroying other stuff. Anyway.

Quick question, what is the lowest freq a S5 can go Huh
Its too hot in my place and I need to downclock it.

I had them run at 250 freq   you get about 750gh

off topic thanks for the avalon 4.1 coupon I ordered a third unit today

What was efficiency like at that hashrate?

Am I beat here? I bought 6 S5's for $419 yesterday and now see them for $369. Bad business practice. I would cancel my order if I could get into my account. And if there are any left then so be it. If not then it was never meant to be. I've never never been money sucked that bad in a long time. Probably comes out to a $350 difference.

Is it possible that CloudFlair is loading an older, cached version of the website? (before the price gouging)

I never altered volts as my psu's are all 12 volt.  if you provide 12 volts the s-5 scales very flat .49 to.52 watts a gh

.49 at real low clock like 250 freq .52 at  freq 393 -400

Mr Teal was able to do 10 volts  with a psu  and got  better numbers.  but adjustable  psu are not power efficient .

sidehack has not had good results making a 9-12 volt psu but is still plugging away at it.

So for now think of the s-5 a close to flat line  or at lease the closest to flat line

the sp20  ranges from .49 to .61

the avalon 4.1 I can do .42 to .62 but hashes 500gh to 1100gh and is costly.  If I could get them cheap  I would only buy them since they are quiet and I can get .42 watts with them

Is it just me, or is the Cloudflare stuff interfering with the ability to connect to https://passport.bitmain.com ? Can't seem to log on to my account.

EDIT: NM. Still DDoS related issues.

Yeah, I have decent results on a first-stage prototype. Right now it's a single phase only tested at low power but has full-range voltage control. Random other stuff keeeps getting in the way, since we had a few big design and consulting jobs come in over the last week or two and I'm also single-handing the entire hosting, fielding most customer contacts and sales, working on repairs and attempting to design a new miner while juggling emails with manufacturers, clients and suppliers in at least six different countries. Needless to say it's been a busy couple weeks.
Tomorrow if I don't have to set up three new hosting customers, build an enterprise router and surface-mount about a hundred D750 boards I might work on dummy-load testing with a skip/CCM add-on to increase overall efficiency. After that it's only a few steps to a workable multiphase design and a test unit for Phil to play with. We're all looking forward to having that project done. I hate being behind schedule on awesome stuff.

Cool, quiet and up to 1TH pod miner, on sale now!
Currently in development - 200+GH USB stick; 6TH volt-adjustable S1/3/5 upgrade kit
Server PSU interface boards and cables. USB and small-scale miners. Hardware hosting, advice and odd-jobs. Supporting the home miner community since 2013 - http://www.gekkoscience.com

What is the best way to contact support?

My payment is not being acknowledged by Bitmain even though I paid with BTC immediately after my order. Blockchain proves it.

I posted the details on here earlier but then removed them.

I just want to make sure that I am getting my S5!

The ticket system on your account works well for order related enquires, or you can go straight to ZenDesk.

If you'd read any of the last 10 pages you'd know that Bitmain (on my advice) was already on cloudflare and is at the highest level of protection state.

Anyone know what model the stock fan is on the S5? And if they are any other 35mm fans out there that can keep the S5 cool at ambient temps?

Also don't waste your money on getting the Corsair SP120 fans. While they are quiter than the Noctua's the temps will rise over 60c pretty much %100 of the time.

Which is absolutely fine, that's the same as an S5 in 35-40C ambients. SP120s are the quietest you can get an S5 - within reasonable bounds.

Using two SP120's temps rose to 65c right away, and it was cool in my house. Soon as the warmer months come that S5 will fry up. Used two Noctua 3000 and temps were 10c less in same room. Nothing special at all about the Corsairs.

As I said before, 65C is fine which you can improve by taping the top and bottom of the heatsinks closed. SP120s are quieter than the 3000's but slower, because that's the speed they're designed to run at. Neither fan is "better" than the other - they're just different.

I'd already previously told bitmain to goto cloudflare via email.

I've even brought this up as far back as 7/2014.

Not overclocked that should be fine to run two S5s.

The ticket system does not work for everyone. If you are lucky enough to be able to long into your account once out of 20 tries.... and try to submit a ticket like I did... I got a message saying my account has been blocked and to contact the site owner directly. Same thing when I try to post in the Bitmain forum. I have already contacted Bitmain to review my order but I had the same thing happen to an order I placed yesterday. I placed an order and 6 minutes later sent the BTC but Bitmain account says I never did.
