@FlensGold....

It seems you have S4 firmware instead of S5 firmware.  Please update firmware with this version from the web control Panel!!

https://www.bitmaintech.com/files/download/SD-S5-20150107.tar.gz

After the update and the physical power cycle, it should go into 350mhz and hashes at 1150GH average.

Thank you!!

Does anyone have an idea why I am only getting a bit more than half of the hashing power?
Frequency is set to 200 (standard), PSU is Corsair CX750M which is working fine for all other S5 miners I have.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

That solved the problem, thank you!
I am only wondering why I had an S4 firmware previously. However, it does work now!

Why on Gods green earth are you crunching diff 2048 shares ?

I would recommend setting the S3's at diff 256 and the S5's at 1024.

Yeah drop down the S3 difficulties and you'll get more balanced earnings.

In the Netherlands it's hard to buy a Antminer S5, shipping cost from the VS is insane..

It seems they are 475 EURO

Does someone know where to buy it cheaper, perhaps from germany or somewhere else in europe?

Since EURO looses its value towards USD Antminers are getting more and more expensive since Bitmain sells them for a price based on USD.
Beside the fact that Bitmain has risen the price from 310 to 370 USD the Euro lost ~10% of its value. It will be hard to find them much cheaper and so it does not make any sense at all to buy them if you are hoping for ROI some day...

Are you sure it would change his earning? From what I understand, it shouldn't. He'd only get a more accurate hash rate reading pool-side.

This setup is returning about 0.014 - 0.015 BTC per day on Nicehash.

Thoughts? Should I be concerned about the HW Errors?

No, still statistically insignificant.

Thanks for that but could you elaborate please.

You might be using too much power though.  Most of my S5's will hash over 1200 ghs at 375.

I have 2 B4 S5's. Been running both at 375mhz each on a CX750 for 27days. One has 267 hw errors and the other 6547. Both avg 1235 gh/s.

Anyone tried 400mhz on a CX750?

Yes, all mine are on CX750's, total of 8 S5s running 400mhz, lowest is 1210 gh/s highest is 1300 gh/s. Does seem to make a small difference on most but a couple of my miners throw way less errors at 375 and still mine in the 1200 gh/s range, just play with the settings on each to see what works best for each miner.

four days up time if it's showing right at 400 Frequency is awesome for HW errors. for westhash or nicehash.

don't go by the HW errors as a number they add up over time, %'s under Diff1# DiffA# is what to worry about i was told any thing above 0.388 is bad or can be, your fine if it's been run in for 4 days.

ASIC status
oooooooo oooooooo oooooooo oooooo
oooooooo oooooooo oooooooo oooooo

after fours days still at 0 .

to bad those blocks are not BTC blocks but alt coins .

LOL Did not even notice the blocks. Wish that was BTC. 150 BTC sweet!

Just Curious...

How many of you guys running S5 over clocked?

How is the result on power consumption and HW error side?

Also, OC, you definately need 4 PCI-E plugs connected but for normal stock operations anyone running S5 with just 1 PCI-E connection to each hashing PCB?  We know it works, but again, being curious if anyone is successfully doing so on the customers end.

Please DO NOT burn the chips while OC them.  Keep them plenty of air flow and keep them as cold as you can be.  RMA techs may birth a cow or two when they see burnt BM1384 chips   Grin

And if  your Ants happen to be a lucky one to find a block or blocks, Show US your Ants Porn!!!!

I found a block recently for btcguild with only 6.xTH/s. I wasn't able to find out which antminer did it. It could have been one of my S3's that had restarted a few days prior. All my other miners have been running for a while but none are showing a found block and bestshare doesn't work at btcguild. I noticed I found a block while looking at the rankings page. Last time I found a block was early last year with an S1 when difficulty was like 2.6 billion.

I oc'd my S5's earlier to 400mhz. After 4 hrs, one is avging 1295 and the other 1283. HWE are at 387 and 1202. Haven't hooked them up to a watt meter at these settings yet. Temps are at low 40c and usually stay under 50c.

Apparently this is pretty good Smiley I am lucky that I am in an area where it is freezing out and will be for the next little while. I have an insulated unheated garage and can keep the ambient air temp at about -3 C. When summer hits I will have to dial it back.
