Not sure why the investors spooked. This news is absolutely amazing! All of the new applications that will be incorporated in the GeoCoin app are just amazing. I truly believe this coin will reach billions once the GeoCoin app comes out. This is because people will make it go viral on Facebook and other social media accounts as they will be able to collect cryptocurrencies simply by downloading an app. No more figuring out how to mine or even buy cryptocurrencies. Just download an app, have fun, and collect them all throughout the world. How cool is that? If Pokemon Go made Nintendo's stock skyrocket to double in just a week (mind you, Pokemon Go was only one app out of the many things Nintendo does), how much more will this do? Amazing news. Looking forward to more! Go GeoCoin!

It's a good project, but don't get married to these coins. Buy on hype, sell on news. Easy breezy. Unless you're first priority isn't to make money..then my apologies. |

Well, that's the difference between and traders and an investor, isn't it? It is easy to get burned playing those trading games. If you know a product is good, and you hold your investment, you can turn out further. Just gotta be patient and wait. This coin has a lot of potential, so, some can trade it, others will hold on to it and reap the future benefits 10 fold, 100 fold, 200 fold, or even more. |

This is true, however you can accumulate more coins by selling at peaks and buying it back on the dumps..just accumulate more coins. Your original question was why did investors get spooked...the investors didnt get spooked, the traders dumped. Traders and whales (who are tied in with the devs) move these markets, not investors. According to your point, the investors are holding..which i agree with. |

Yeah, I would remove the last "update" from your direction of the coin. Saying that you would be able to drop other coins, is pretty much providing everything you have worked so hard for to any other cryptocurrency out there. Then GeoCoin will not be special at all, if you can just drop any cryptocurrency on the app. That's like nerfing the entire coin, who would invest into that? Very bad idea. That's the whole point of GeoCoin, that it is the only coin that you can mine by collecting it. You can see how the investors responded to that news, right?
*double face palm* The first update was bomb, though the last one is like shooting yourself in the foot. This coin can go to the billions if you just make it unique and special. But you want it to drop down to thousands?

I don't think that's the issue. The issue is creating all the hype and making a week long 3 part announcement (nothing extraordinary like the way they hyped it up) which they could've just announced all at once. Of course doing that wouldn't have created 3 pump opportunities for them to make money from the sheeple. |

I disagree, I think it creates further demand for GEO as a fee is necessary to make the drop of another coin (meaning someone has to buy GEO first before they can drop other coins). It turns geocoin into a platform for crypto location services, rather than just some novelty coin hunting game. The real value of GEO in my mind is its potential in marketing and advertisement based on location (i.e. if a business wants to create their own token to run promotions at a given location, they can utilize geocoins infrastructure which would ultimately drive up demand for GEO. |
