I feel we've got lots to show currently for GEO Here's our 3 most recent demo videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCVXaNvSfw4https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MEIgzu_iTL8https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pNs6N0EdD8YI've also updated our landing page on http://geocoin.cash to give a sneak peak of the new MapBox interface, HTTPS will also be added shortly for the logins. We're also currently working on redoing our promotional website http://geo.money. As we announced in our roadmap, our first focus will be migrating the UBQ blockchain, and then we will have more time to focus on our cool GEO items like the MapBox interface launch, mobile apps and added features. This is an ongoing project and we will continue to develop this project and community into the future.

I think HTTPS should be a top priority right now. It's easier than other items on the todo list and offers a lot of return on that effort. New users will build the brand for you. Unencrypted access to crypto-coins just sounds... wrong. You could give yourself a major partner and a huge new userbase by developing Unity support. And it's not like you'd have to cultivate a relationship with the Unity team to do it. It would offer a lot of visual/audio options HTML5 can not compete with. Ingress with coins at stake could be huge, but that'll never happen in HTML5, the client can't be secured properly, and WebGL is garbage next to native code versions of the same. Good luck! I feel bad for sounding so negative now... I know as well as anyone that development is easy... from the sidelines. But the details are tough so I'll try to be patient. I can help with the demo vids if you want but you'd have to scatter some Geo around columbus ohio for me to do it.

bought geocoin at 2.69 but now its 1.62 why its getting down day by day >_< If you can, hold and wait. It'll get pumped again as soon as the whales manipulating the price decide they've bought back as much GEO as they can from impatient bag holders. Make sure you setup your sells to happen automatically, and don't hold out for insane profits, just make some coin and get out. When the dump comes it will be swift and brutal.

bought geocoin at 2.69 but now its 1.62 why its getting down day by day >_< don't hesitate, now just keep your coins. as you saw that price reached 4 bucks. it's worth paying attention that this price level was touched only due to roadmap without even real implementations. with each step when devs move on further price will go to new heights (if only all market isn't down). it is a matter of time. we know that devs are keen of performing their project. maybe user "greyworld" was right in some technical aspects while critisizing the progress of the project but devs' team isn't so numerous and they don't have great sums of money (like after different ICO's). this project will get going stepwise, realization of every point in roadmap will be accompanied with publications on media sources, maybe there will be access to the Asian market with wechat channel, slack channel and so on and then price will be gradually higher

Hello. Is there other Coins like GeoCoin other than LomoCoin?
And would a coin not build on blockchain even be able to compete with fx GeoCoin?

Just wanted to update the community on our current developments for the GeoCoin project. We're focusing on adding in HTTPS secure connections to our game interface and also building up our new promotional website which will be available on http://geo.money once it is up and running. We've got some items with our HTML5 web wallet that need to be addressed in order to handle the upcoming UBQ migration. We're working closely with the UBQ devs to make sure this process goes over smoothly. I've posted a few of my own questions I've had in my head to gather their thoughts. I also plan on spreading out some more physical trackables into the geocaching community to help continue the promotion of the GeoCoin project to geocaching.com users. Stay tuned here or via social media for our progress and future updates: Twitter: @geo_coin Twitter: @BackroadDave Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/geocoin.cash/

Anyone wondering about GEO market should do this one simple trick :::: Go to the market on Bittrex - https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-GEOSelect 1 DAY candles and zoom all the way out. It's been going up for 2 years and the rate is increasing Is it accumulation for something or just demand. We may know soon.

Excellent advice. That's what I did, and at today's spike sold enough of my GEO to cover my total buy-in plus some free GEO which I'm now holding onto forever.

This concept is very cool and has huge potential. I also believe it needs some work with marketing and web design. But don't forget how Geocaching started, vs what it is today and how many million caches out there.... http://xmod4u.com/geo1.jpgedit : not sure why my image is coming up as a link...

I really like this project. But the music in your youtubes will alienate anyone over 25. You have enough challenges, don't shoot yourself in the foot.

You gotta make the music more user friendly. They can integrate HTML5 audioplayer and everyone will be able to choose their own music for little payment(1 GeoCoin per week), lol Haha you guys don't like my high energy music!? I just wanted people to get pumped up and excited about GEO! Maybe a future custom audio player is in order afterall I'm also over 25

Haha you guys don't like my high energy music!? I just wanted people to get pumped up and excited about GEO! Maybe a future custom audio player is in order afterall I'm also over 25 I like the music! But maybe a nice middle ground would be to start out with a little more mystery. You could record yourself picking up GEO on the foggiest, murkiest day possible. Early AM. Get some weird looking friends to stand around and kinda stare at you while you're doing it like they're fascinated onlookers, and the first coin you pick up should take the longest of any of them, like you had to track it down for a while. During this time, play down-tempo / ambient / triphop... Maybe something like Future Sound of London, or whatever a more current version of that type of music sounds like (I'm out of date) Then as you pick up more, put a few drops in the music, let it pick up the pace quite a bit, and as it does, pick up twice as much geo, then five times as much, than in one spot, just a ridiculous motherload of it. Music constantly building throughout. Then maybe afterwords, show yourself dropping a couple GEO near someone playing with their phone who just installed GEO and this is the first coin they picked up, the start of their quest as you walk off into the sunset. I think that progression would present well. Also I think it would look nice if instead of walking around basically one setting, downtown areas, during the video there's at least three different environments shown. A downtown, some more grungy look back alleys perhaps, or an overpass, somewhere with a lot of graffiti, then a beach, make it look like a wild and varied journey. Currently it looks a bit more like you're just walking around in circles near a one block area... ok, but not awesome. If you know any 'free runners', I think that would go really well with all this.
