Is there a phone (android) app for collecting geocoin that works now? I can think of a lot of applications...

We do not currently have any Android apps available yet.  We first need to migrate over the UBQ blockchain and rework the wallet in the backend.  After that we will focus on launching the new MapBox interface and then developing some mobile apps.

We don't have any apps available yet for Apple or Android.  You should probably buy an Android phone anyway

I also like this project a lot, I see a great future here.
I think the possibilities is endless if you really think about it.
I see this is both for advertising/event based applications, for games and for health apps.

With Health apps, do you mean walking running for them or ?

I was also thinking about "Walking/running for fx Unicef". So fx every "Unicef" coin you pick-up would be donated to Unicef ? But where would the value of the coin come from ?

An example that comes to mind, you drop an amount of the preferred coin on top of your store or at an event.. Then people will come to collect it.

I know the website is under maintenance, but is there a link for developer bios, or do you guys choose to remain somewhat anonymous? Why hasn't there been any updates on github for over 3 years.

We choose to remain somewhat anonymous.  We've been focusing on our GeoCashing interface over the past few years and have not modified the wallet.  We will be replacing our wallet once the migration with UBQ is complete, this will allow us greater security and provide us more time for GEO developments.

I compiled geocoind and tried to add the coin to my ezpool.net.
But no peers can be reached. Even peers I took from cryptopia.co.nz.
