Sorry for my bad English, but I didn't understand exchange for token GEO is only on Bitrex? My GEO are on Cryptopia. Coins will be replaced by tokens automatically?? Bitrex is not giving me withdraw my coins. Tell me other possible options the opportunity to exchange my coins to the new tokens?
That is a big issue. Bittrex is 'careful' with people from certain countries which would not be a good first step to have the new coins only there, especially for a coin like this. At the very least a senior member or the dev team should change the coins for people in far off countries and they can make some kind of general kyc form and send it to some agency so there aren't drone strikes later on add I do not have the credibility nor status to serve as escrow, but it seems like it would be wise to not shut out certain countries based on politics vs a U.S. exchange.

Nobody from dev team seems to take care of this thread, am I right? Kind regards, Dude, the dev team has put thousands of hours into actual work on the coin. If you want somebody whose job is to watch the thread and post answers then do that job. add not trying to be rude but really this isn't a company where somebody has a job they have to do. Any person is free to help the devs or buy the coin or not buy it. Any dev can wake up in the morning and say crypto is boring so he or she moves to Labrador to forget the trauma of coinwork. If somebody wants a specific job done then do it or don't do it, but please do not ask somebody else why they aren't doing it.

Even thought there is plenty of explanation all over bitcointalk on this swap, I am not from dev team, but I don't mind sharing answer to this - Geo coin will be merged into Ubiq network and become it's token therefore you will not find Ubiq coins, you will find Geo Token belonging to Ubiq network. This will happen on 25th of January and all of the new Geo Tokens created will be avaliabile for Geocaching from the app that is being developed. Read up about tokens vs coins, Ethereum is another example of host network just like Ubiq is.

Moreover, meejay, you just had to look a few posts before, there was the answer to your question. You don't need to post 3 times, people won't answer you faster, especially for this kind of silly questions.

The irony is right before I posted my rude comment to Meejay I realized I did the exact same thing in my previous post,so to not be a hypocrite I had to add a disclaimer.

This means that you will still be searching for GEO on the GeoCashing interface, not UBQ. Sorry for the delay, had a busy period with family and friends over Christmas

what is the usecase of this coin? i dont like the concept of a wallet being tagged in your current location. big wallets are prone to easy hacking because they know your exact location.

Our original GeoCashing interface was built using Google Maps. We're replacing our Google Maps interface with our new MapBox interface after all the blockchain upgrades are fully sorted.

The GeoCoin project is a combination of Cryptocurrency with GIS & GeoTechnologies. We've developed a GeoCashing interface which allows users to drop coins anywhere they like. Other community members can then go and pick up the dropped GEO right from the map using their smartphone GPS. The applications of where the coins placed are up to the user who drops them, but they can be used for scavenger hunts, promotions for businesses, outdoor recreation and more.

Yes GeoCoin uses map technology but differs from google map. It is intended to drop and collect geo or other coins via geocoin app.

A decentralized map for geocaching should be something to work towards in the future. First prove the concept using current tech and build a user base.

We're currently under development, it is best to wait for our new MapBox interface to be released to the community. This will take place after the upcoming blockchain upgrade as we will need to replace the wallet backend to handle the new GEO (ERC20 token) hosted on the Ubiq Network.
