Guys, title of the thread: LTCGear.com SCAM - Enough is enough, lets get some info together

I can't stop you posting nonsense in here but I can ask that if you are not going to post anything relevant and/or constructive then please just don't post at all.
showing that the site was easy to hack is also part of the info we want...
The point of this thread is to get to those who got our money, if the answer is "some damn hacker" this is still a good answer these also are the guy who should be searched... So you see, all this isn't either total non sense nor irrelevant to that discussion.

Claims were made that ltcgear was hacked and money was stolen so if it has indeed been hacked, then the course of action is also different (meaning there is no reason to not give more time to beekeeper to solve his issues... against there is no reason to wait to go to him...)

So I don't think that I am off topics, potential hackers are also the people against whom which should get information, considering all the btc which have been stolen in the past year...

Well if you think that then feel free try to find some info about the hackers instead of wildly throwing out accusations with no proof. This is a thread for gathering information, not insulting others and trying to lay blame on people.

Has Chris ever said that money was stolen anyway? He has said there are lots of fake shares, but there has been no confirmation so far that any money was stolen. Correct me if I am wrong on that.

He did say he paid some payouts to bogus addresses. So yes, some money was stolen.

Do you have a reference link to that quote?

I knew someone would ask that. No but I think it was in one of TheMage's postings on litecointalk forum regarding the email to him.

https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=24049.0

It was originally posted as a list of addresses in beekeepers original thread.

Money was stolen yes, but not directly compromised from Chris' wallets as far as we know. It was paid out to people with fake shares and adresses changed. Don't know how much and how long it's been going for, that's all the issue and that's what's needed to be tracked down

4.82601752BTC on 2014-12-18 on one address and 5.035478BTC on another, same date. Maybe some on 1AeFq5RbXiY1vsRqZjcF7fVodCxXwmDcMX as well, but that one has too many transactions for me bother going though.

I think we've changed to 2 day delays now, so will see ETA change to Jan 20th.

I have a weird feeling this is the day it either just disappears (or there is not even a change) or there is a major delay added (1 week or so). It just does not feel like the site will just be back.

I wonder if it will be 3 day delay soon, once it reaches 7 days I am throwing in my towel and calling it a scam/ponzi

No, the hosting is still paid untill the 29/30th January. He needs more delay until then.

I am more and more convinced he just moved the website from server to server to cover his back. On the first server (godaddy) he logged in with his ip maybe, then he transdered to another hosting company a few days, and finally to ovh. (where he logged in to install a fress install from a proxy, and since then he's only updating daily ETA)

Actually Chris owns at least half LTC network hashrate (with the 2 accounts at 1 million shares + 5 at +500k shares = 450 GB. add the other accounts..)

How do you know this? The hosting part.

Yes @joboy . . .  how do you know this? And what do you make of it -- transferring the hosting so frequently?

Because he moved the website on 29th/30th december. It's a dedicated/semi dedicated server. This hosting plans are paid every month in the most cases.

When I called ovh, they could'nt tell me that much (privacy of course), but they confirmed at least that the contract was not reconducted at this time.

Thanks, didn't know you had called. OK, hmm, well let us see how it turns today.

Here as I said. So no I can't seem to discuss here without a problem
I had a reply deleted yesterday "A reply of yours, quoted below, was deleted by a Bitcoin Forum moderator. Posts are most frequently deleted because they are off-topic, though they can also be deleted for other reasons. In the future, please avoid posting things that need to be deleted." And it was far from being off-topic.
And joboy84's replies got deleted too.

Try litecoin forums or ltcgear forums. Not sure what you are posting, but I've not seen much of this before in relation to ltcgear.

Whole raft of posts relating to the LTCgear.com mysql dump and how it was obtained have been deleted by a mod. Pity it still appears on the first post in the thread. The bigger pity is it sort of derailed the momentum that was building up around finding who was illegally 'penetration testing' the web site on the 24th of December.

I have to say I think it was largely your fault that all these posts were deleted, going on your heroic little quest like you did.

Agreed, I'll take some of the blame. But then it wasn't me that posted the offending user dump was it?  Wink

Get out of here, you finally stop living in gaga land and realise Chris fucked off with our money, now your trying to give input on something that you showed no sign of interest other than bashing and as Dan said heroic little quests.
