Goldman Sachs predicts 1,2 bilions USD in bitcoin market . It is 50 000 USD for 1 BTC in future  Grin
1.2 billion would be about a third of the marketcap today...

Maybe he is not native english and has mistaken billion with trillion. This would be the case in german for instance.

interesting, so "trillion" is called "billion" in german.
Confusing as heck for US folks.
I see... billion is called milliard(e).
Further, next one after is billiard (10^12), then trillion (10^18 instead of US 10^12).
so european trillion =a million of american trillions

Not all of Europe. Unless I am being a total retard 1000 billion in the UK is a trillion

yeah, probably just continental
I wonder if a bank in France tries to pay a "billion" to UK, someone might get unhappy, LOL

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

it must be said that there is the long scale and the short scale, in the long scale 1 billion is 1kkkk in the shor is just 1kkk

they can be confused quite easily, also billion make you think about two million in a row so 1000.000.000.000, but that is actually a trillion in the short scale

I don't want to pop your bubble but you will not be a millionaire from just 100btc OP but you obviously have a chance to get $100k Now get saving for 1000butcoins and then you have a nice chance at breaking $1million if that is your desire to break $1million I personally could not care less lol

So you'd need to pour in $235,000 now for a chance of making $1 mil in five years? Considering the risks, that are still very apparent, I'd want guaranteed odds.

What do you think? I think I might be close. I'm guessing $10,000 per bitcoin by then.

wow! did you really have that many bitcoins?
i hope that bitcoin would be well known by 2020 for it to happen

Well with it being at 244$ current I think people will eventually dump again and it will go back down but we atleast hit a new level so it can't go too low. Even CNY has surpassed 1500 per coin, so hopefully it will keep rising....Just gotta roll with them punch's Smiley

IMAO, there's no need to worry about the current price or where it's going to be tomorrow.
The important thing about bitcoin is its potential, so... everything else will come as time goes on.

Yeah, the price isnt important. But, it just helps to motivate people to help and hold their coins.

I mean I already see being it used constantly for greeces events, with their financial stress of people wanting to move their money fast.

people believe the superstitious view of karma? if shit happens shit happens, and as for charity we got plenty of those that non-profits pay themself in other ways. Its a form of business.

No.
It has nothing to do with price or being a millionaire. What satoshi said is that (s)he's sure that in 20 years there will either be very large transaction volume or no volume.

Right.  Otherwise we couldn't have a finite limit of 21 million coins, because there would always need to be some minimum reward for generating.  In a few decades when the reward gets too small, the transaction fee will become the main compensation for nodes.  I'm sure that in 20 years there will either be very large transaction volume or no volume.

I believe that after 10 years, the exchange rate of Bitcoin will be somewhere around $5,000 to $10,000 per coin (if Bitcoin seizes a significant part of the remittance market and the online payment processing market). If you invest in 100 Bitcoins right now, after 10 years you'll have  with you. 500k +

I agree except that all that will only take 5 years. Wink
