I have never seen so many ragedumps in a coin as byc.

1. Ragedumps?
2. Whales dumping the market to get in low?
3. EDS bringing price down so that there is easier adoption, more liquidity, and cheaper cards during the launch?
4. All of the above?

Whatever the reason it is a good time to buy imo.

It's one guy suppressing the market.

There are number of things going on with BCY in the last few weeks that i find interesting that I cannot explain very well.

1. Software updates happening more frequently
2. For weeks a low order book of less than or around 50 BTC
3. Price starts to climb with a low order book
4. Then a not so surprising dump into the momentum a week or so ago that can be explained by people/person that bought during climb to 70k that wanted out at any reasonable price
5. Order book built up to current 130 BTC, even higher at times
6. Constant dumping into any strength for the past 48 hours, while the order book continues to grow. I would say pretty high volume dumps as current 24 hours have 400+ btc traded. Huge dumps into a sell wall that seems to be just scooping them up gladly.

Considering the situation selling 400+ Bitcoin  of BCY is just a crap ton of BCY that someone is unloading into what seems to be a completely expected buying trend.

The seller is either in a extremely pressing situation where they need to sell immediately, or have given up for no reason apparent to anyone that is following this project. It also feels like the seller is propping up the order book with BTC below where they want to sell hoping to unload them all.

No. I imagine there would be a thread on counterparty forums. Quick glance yielded nothing for me. Happy to donate 100 bcy to the best link that anyone can provide. My assumption: counterparty runs a patched bitcoin core server that is maybe a version behind bitcoin core(?). The "official" counterparty network would follow the bitcoin core network. I'm assuming they would have to ensure that xcp assets would only run on one network (i.e., an update that excludes one of the networks). Someone would have to develop a patched version of Bitcoin Unlimited (or whatever) to run on that network ongoing. 100 bcy to anyone who validates/invalidates with elaboration.

maybe this will happen till the community/ holder will choose which btc fork:

What is Bitcoin fails or becomes co-opted?

In the event of a catastrophic failure of the Bitcoin network, Counterparty does have the technical capability of “freezing” balances and migrating to another blockchain, like Litecoin for instance, with relative ease.

another possible option ("in the event of a catastrophic failure...") is for EDS to move the cards tokens to another platform, like eg Storj, that is migrating to Ethereum

If this is possible, and relatively easy, they should just do it anyway.

This doesn't really make any sense to me. There is zero reason to dump 2 million bcy right now. Nobody would actually ever do this for any legitimate reason other than they are capitulating on the project all together. Keeping the price low before launch doesn't make any sense at all whatsover If BCY costs more per dollar then a new card costs less BCY to buy it pretty simple. It seems a major backer is exiting in the worst way possible. I am very, very surprised how it was able to happen and the price is still at 16000 satoshi. shocked actually. How is this not about some type of insider conflict of some sort?

Hello SoG investors, i learned about your game through the successful Augmentors Game ICO.
I know some of you got some lovely databits early.

You can now Buyand Sell databits on the Tux Exchange (i have been using it a lot and can vouch for the site, the owner is also active in the Augmentors Slack chat). So if any of you wants to sell databits, head on over to the Tux Exchange. (link in my sig)

PS: Regarding BCY dont worry, it will be totally fine long term. Dont feed the whales!

If you don't know who I am, then maybe your best course would be to tread lightly

This whale is still supporting EDS/SOG.  Note that he is only selling his worthless BCY, but he hasn't touched his valuable cards.  Note that he got 4 Satoshicards.  If he really stopped believing in this project, then he would have sold his game assets.  Selling BCY is worth it when price is high and then buy back cheaper to get cheaper game assets.  Nobody wants high BCY price for the long term as the game assets would end up too expensive.  Or at least the game asset holders would need to lower their BCY price for their assets.

So overall is this a good sign of price going UP

Been seeing some fud that the BCY token has no purpose as people will just use BTC.

Can some one clear this up and give a reason that the BCY token will have Value?

What is important volume goes up and more people will notice BCY because of liquidity it have.  also if there was no changes ICONOMI list coins in their portfolio if they have in past month on average at least $50k daily volume. BCY is now close to that. altho I am not that sure what is now with all ICONOMI delays Tongue

Easy money. https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC/tx/6b82a93f73b88b7f1cf46e2fcca34116b586ac32a840a7ebcf00ce55aec4cfb6

Thanks

Even if Counterparty does not freeze and migrate, a person or business using xcp assets could burn tokens at any time and redeem them for tokens on another blockchain.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Next challenge in the Eshriek BCY countdown!

Value: 99 BCY

Open to: Anyone!

Challenge: Find the hidden message

Win Condition: Post the decrypted message here and PM me your Counterparty address. If there is no correct response within 1 hour hints may start following. The same challenge will be issued with a reduced BCY.

*Note - I am not affiliated with SoG other than being an early backer. If there are any requests from anyone I'll move this off to a separate thread. Just wanting to share gratitude that I have from the last ~2 years.

EDS burns BCY not Bitcoin, so there will be a constantly smaller supply of BCY. Also, as long as you buy cards primarily with BCY then there will always need to be BCY held buy players. I am sure there will be ways to use BTC to buy cards, but BCY will likely be the primary currency for EDS cards in the near future.

You could make the same argument about every crypto out there, if I can ultimately just hold bitcoin and have third party service switch to another currency for me when I need it, then what is the purpose of anything but Bitcoin... there are several billion dollars that say other coins will have value even in the face of a dominant crypto currency.

The beauty of free market is that what ever this whale is up to it doesn't really matter, price will always go to the direction it should, as many small players want to as their purse combined is much bigger than his.

Thanks for the input DJ, My bad for listening to fud.

I wasn't sure about EDS promise to burn tokens on cards purchased. Am I right in assuming it's 50% of each cards value that gets burnt?
