Had my blockchain card until I summoned my first card with gold, then it poofed.

Also my stamina was reset to max 10, but looks like I still have my old XP/lvl/achievements.

So, i'm trying to buy a card for the first time and I need to get on the whitelist. How do I do this?

If you are trying to buy a new card, you have to be whitelisted to get the EDS price from the EDS launch. You get on this whitelist by being an original merchant, or by donating probably a boat load of BTC to EDS to become a special merchant. You can contact EDS and give them an offer, but I doubt they will add you to their special list unless you are loaded.

Otherwise you have to pay a markup by the people that have the right to buy them first. Sometimes the markup is nominal.

That seems like a bunch of bullshit. So those white listed address are guaranteed to make a killing. And as the cost of cards goes up, a smaller subset of players are introduced to crypto due to the high barrier for entry... Sigh... I thought this had mass adoption potential...

Yes there are some issues with the release, team is working on it, stay tuned for news.

The issues seem to occur on the server's side.

Just has come to my mind - while we have cards on the decentralised blockchain, the game still has centralised server-client architecture.

Maybe the next for the blockchain gaming would be to "blockchainise" the games themselves, ie games as DApps,
and Ethereum VM adaption to CounterParty could help here

there are 2 swapbots. One is for SoG partners other is for Sog Premium. Only the one that invested Bitcoins 16 month ago in crowdsale can buy from those 2 merchants. Most will never play SoG. They are investors that invested lots of BTC into developing of game. You cant become Partner or Premium player anymore.

From all other swapbots of DEX offers you can freely buy cards. only from 2 you cant.

Silly questions from a BCY noob: I downloaded the game and bought some BCY, not a smart move I guess.

1) Is the coin/game still under active development ? Where may I find most recent updates?

2) Who is current Bitcointalk company representative? Hnin last posts are just timeline pics or card pictures. I see a lot of posts of people complaining about bugs and problems, but no official answers. A scary silence in my humble opinion.

3) Poloniex buy orders are being removed faster and faster in last few days, we're under 100 btc now. I'm a noob but I guess price will soon suffer because of this.
    Any particular reason? Do staff plan any marketing campaign or game initiatives to promote interest in the coin?

Silence is here on this forum. None of developers come in this thread answers questions. They do answer on SoG slack in Sog-beta-testing chanel. You need to understand that SoG is not about shiling. they have product and spend time to develop it, not to monitor 100 communication channels and answer questions.  User Hnin here is Marketa who manages marketing. so if you have suggestions you should contact her. But as i said slack is most perfect communication channel for SoG.

About Poloniex I cant give you any answer. There BCY are freely offered to sell and buy. If game will be successful price of BCY will raise if not price of BCY will go down. In meantime you might see shills here and on Poloniex shiling BCY and FUDing it. Same as with any coin. Right now they seems to accumulate and are quiet. You can easily mark them down from Poloniex trollbox and from this thread.

Yesterday this season.7 testing started and so far in a bit less then a day with full of bugs 208 testers finished at least one campaign.

BCY, as well as SoG cards, are actually CounterParty assets.

So the more successful usecases will be for the platform (ie CounterParty), the better it is for the price of its token (XCP)

Starting to get the hang of the game now. Its actually much better than my first impression, you just just have to get past the initial learning curve. Also it gets much more fun when you get more interesting cards involved compared to the ones you start with.

@Febo, I participated in the crowd sale in August 2015 by purchasing 14,000 BCY. Does this not qualify me to purchase from those merchants?
