I really doubt they are burning from the ingame sales, I think it is only the card sales for BCY.
I have heard this a few times now.... and I notice that the Announcement initial post no longer mentions it, but this has ALWAYS been the case. Internet archives shows the original purpose of BCY, it says and I quote: "Game Fuel BitCrystals: fueling the Spells of genesis game economy Spells of Genesis (SoG) is an upcoming mobile game with a storyline based on bitcoin and game economy driven by its growing crypto community. By purchasing BitCrystals, the initial backers of the BitCrystals Token Sale will contribute to the development of the game. Upon its launch, players will, in turn, give back to the backers (BitCrystals owners), fuelling what we believe will be the first on-chain economy game ever made. When purchasing game items such as card packs in Spells of Genesis, players will have the option to use their local currency on the Google Play/AppStore or BitCrystals in the secondary market. Heres how it works: A - When a player purchases a card pack via Google Play/AppStore Each time a player purchases a card pack via Google Play/AppStore using their local currency, EverdreamSoft will buy back 50% of its value in BitCrystals from backers (anyone who owns BitCrystals) and burn them in order to issue a new card pack. B - When a player purchases a card pack using BitCrystals If a player uses BitCrystals to purchase new cards and game items from the secondary market, EverdreamSoft keeps 50% of the BitCrystals and sends the other 50% to Gutenberg (Gutenberg is our project codename for the platform which burns BitCrystals). " BitCrystals have always been expected to be part of the in-game economy, see Scenario A above. Can someone speak on this with authority please? Why was the in-game economy usage of BCY removed from the original post? This is not about Gems but about cards. EDS right now dont sell cards for fiat but only for BCY from 3 merchants. They were selling them 2 years to partners and players so they can now resell them to new players. As I understood they will sell packs of cards every now and then. Like when seasons ends. We will see i have no ideas how will all looks. All this is long time planed. Or maybe will be totally different and that is why was moved away. OP was renewed few months ago most likely for the official launch. I like it was since now looks nicer and some things was removed and new added. It was never said that BCY will get burned for gems. At least I did not read it anywhere. It for sure dont write on this what I just quoted. They do sell cards for Fiat as in-game you must use Fiat to get epic and rare cards quickly, which is the only reason you spend fiat in-game other than to extend your stamina. It is very clear that this in-game fiat to buy cards is supposed to have a match burn in BCY, there is no other way to interpret the above statement about in-game app store card purchases.... to argue you buy cards with gems is not an argument, because you need fiat to buy gems.

I was then went and bought me Chrystal Dragon, problem solved...... EDS needs to provide a level builder, like the old Load Runner games used to have, and provide a way for you to share them.

Well the good is that BCY is holding near an all time high in value. The bad is that we are clearly still in the early stages with no spike in burn rate even with the appstore release.

Those are ingame cards and not block chain cards.

I did not see the report at time of my post. Burning revenue from sold Gemz was total surprise to me, since the announcement was different in last 2 years . In general, EDS is highly invested in BCY and they will do any action to help BCY gain value.

Right the more purchases you make the more on-chain currency gets burned making the coin more valuable due to in-game interest. Wise but where fiat that has been spent in-game goes after purchases have been made? As it's a fresh fiat it should go toward someone's paypal account or credit card. The easiest way to determine who is who is to identify cardholder name.

It has always included BCY burn for in-game purchases. In fact, it said they would be burned from the open market... which is even more impactful to the bcy price.

I think yes. BUT! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=957797.msg18556696#msg18556696New Adventure The global release is not the end, but a great start of a new and even bigger adventure! Our developers will keep working to add new exciting features, such as the multiplayer mode, or in-game cards tokenization. And much more… On June 29, we’re going to release a new game expansion. After Askian and its inhabitants, you’re going to discover a brand new region - “Marva Magica”. But don’t worry, you won’t be alone in this unknown country. “The Twelve” will accompany you throughout the whole SoG adventure. And you’re going to meet them very soon…

The price is going to shake out the old top buyers at .40 a few more times before we stabilize to a new high.

Looks like it, haven't got there yet but several people have mentioned that it's the last level. Just buy four killer blockchain cards and the game is actually too easy. I made it to Sia without much effort. Needs Load Runner type build your own level features and about 100 more levels and challenges. Also what boss has his arms raised up to each side, I want that card?
