Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Price drop is irrelevant if there is no place we can sell them. Something you have that can't be sold is worthless. We need to get on some exchanges!

Dumping will be the next thing after listing at this situation.
Before listing value creation should be done.

Hey Guys, Update here. Still not managed to get QT Wallets built yet. Going to gather some BTC and hire someone to make me some for GRE.  Once they're ready to be built i'll give everyone an exact fork block/date. RE: The staking behaviour. That is something I've noticed which i don't have a reason for yet but i'll look into it more when i get time

Ahmed

When can we expect the hardfork date?
Any feature/dev/marketting additions with this update?

What about a new start rather than working on the current one?
May do a fundraising campaign too via any crowdfunding.
What you devs and producers think?

I can;t speak to the coin dev (ahmed hasn't been around for awhile) but I'm working on web this weekend and I'll invite any interested folks to the slack channel as well.

Hi Guys

Was away on holiday and without internet. Over my holiday I've been working on getting a gitian dev machine running. Going to spend whatever free time i have trying to get the new coin compiled using gitian. Which if i can do, means any development updates will only need me to do since i can compile QT's with ease.

Any idea when PoS will be back working. Current blockchain appears jammed up. I had my wallet open all weekend, with a good size stake, expected no greater than 1 hr between rewards, to get nothing. Has been like this for a few weeks now. Is this part of the blockchain blockage issue or something else...note: I have not chnaged any settings and it has worked in the past.

If you connect to the proper IPs there will be no forking.
I can successfully connect to blockchain always.

I am connecting to the "approved" IP list including the "bootstrap" to ensure the correct chain. Are you staking and being rewarded?

How can I confirm I am on the right chain and if not, how can I get it back on?

Yes I can connect and stake always.
To check whether you are in the correct chain, go to debug tab in Console window under help menu in qt wallet,
and enter, getblockcount. Check whether that no matches with the blockexplorer's current block.
Inorder to be in the correct block chain,
1. Download the latest qt wallet from gre website.
2. Remove all files except the wallet file.
3. Only add node in config file from the block explorers node list. No need to set 'connect'.
4. Sync should automatically start and should be in the right chain.
That's what I does.

Cranky4U, staking stops and I have to restart the wallet at least twice a day and the staking will begin again. I am 100% sure i'm on the correct block chain the problem only started about 3 weeks ago. It's obviously a problem in the code.

Hey guys, yeah, the staking is so bad I've stopped trying to stake at all.

With Ahmed back from vacation and in-pocket we can see what kind of timeline he might be able to do on a fork, which should fix the issues.

Crapola! For Prodcuers - I put in the wrong block number for the 8/9 daily payout. Will fix tonight. I gotta go in to the actual database and regen the entire transaction, and be back on track. I've had to do it before, it's no big deal, but just letting you know the timing.

I'm a bit stuck myself on the issues. It's going to take some time but im going to see if i can come up with any other ways to fix the issues, maybe another codebase which doesnt have the issues. But we will get this fixed in one way or another.
