SFARDS might need to be a bit careful. There is another thread regarding Innosilicon and their debacle with Bitmine. Innosilicon is the producer of the A1 and A2 chips which I surmise to be the best Scrypt ASIC's to date, prior to SFARDS. They claim in this thread to be well underway on an A3 and A4 designs for 14nm process technology. No dates yet, so maybe SFARDS has a a clear field for several months, in terms of LTC.

Their current price won't last more than 60 days is my bet. The halving, and rumors of something else, will put pressure on them in a big way.

Whover has bought them now, had better extract the value they can, because their asset will be at no more than 50% in less than 6 months (IMHO).

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Unfortunately, while the A2 was a nice chip, the initial offering for the miners based on it was even MORE overpriced than the SFARDS offering for the time.

Also, KnC's Titan is definitively the best chip on the market for Scrypt right now - the A2 was somewhat less efficient, though it seems to have been a lot more reliable.
Titans seem to have had more an issue at board-level design (can YOU say "OVERLOAD the PCi-E connectors" even at STOCK clock), but the chip-level reliability of the Titans seems to have been fairly poor at the chip level too, implying that KnC had to "overclock" them to meet their specified target hashrates with resulting poor long-term reliability.

The Alcheminer was pretty close to a tossup at reported REAL hash rates with the A2, about double for about double the power consumption, but not enough of them out there getting long-term reported on to get a good feel for reliabilty. I'm NOT happy with the way that unit pushes it's PCi-E connectors, almost as bad as the Titans that way.

More competition in both SHA256 and Scrypt miners, with better efficiency than current offerings, WOULD be nice - if they're PRICED reasonably enough to successfully ROI at an electric rate higher than 3 cents / KWH.

I'm guessing BitFury has pulled out of making "home" miners entirely at this point?

I think they sold the whole thing to 1 company that mines in the state of washington.  this company is now off loading A2 gear.

 Zoomhash, or someone else?

If they already sold out the 1st batch, what's the urgency for them to try and sell here? Maybe when they can't sell whatever they make at $1200+ per unit.

I still there  there's a $999 Christmas special (almost 30% off), in the future..... Smiley

How do you even order from them though?  I still have yet to figure that.  Is it just via email? If so what email?

I guess you'd order from their site...

Price: 8000.00RMB (Sold out)
Mid August, sounds like a preorder to me, it feels shady when they're taking money that early before the actual product gets shipped out. Sfards is going down more and more in my mind.

And if this is true they not only sold out they did it at the 1200 dollar price.   I was not expecing that at all.

I wonder if they had one big client or how the sale went.

+1 - "buy it all, get a nice discount" ... sounds about right. That way they can say they produced and sold out.

Thanks, I guess I don't know what I was thinking but I had under 50 mh/s or so in my head not a 1000$ unit, thanks for the pm though.

No worries I sent the code to another member he grabbed two.

More then likely the code would only work once.  220 mh for him   it is a good deal if his power is cheap.

It would be a scam most likely.  I would not order from the link.

All the pictures have SFards on top left so most likely added their logo to it  to appear legit.

I am curious as to what makes this a scam rather than somebody thinking they can take an over-priced miner and sell it for an even higher price? In this case the scam would be that they don't actually own the miner for sale, rather than selling a non-existent miner? It wasn't uncommon for somebody to buy/pre-order a BFL miner and then try and sell it on Ebay for an even higher price in 2013. I don't think they were scam, rather than just an attempt to cash in on "Bitcoin fever" (i.e. like Gold Rush fever).

I was talking about AliExpress not SFards.  I do believe SFards has a product, they have sent out chips.

As far as AliExpress it's all default photos and I'm doubting they got in on initial batch.  I could be wrong on that.  But I am thinking they sell now on AliExpress and try to get a batch 2 to sell to person.  And if they cannot get a batch 2 in time they refund money.  So maybe bad business more then scam.

I will add this is one of the miners on my radar I really want to use.   I cannot wait till I can get one and get into scrypt game for fun.

Sometimes I miss scrypt sometimes.   The good news is I think we have the chips needed with SFards, once they are mass produced we all should have some dual mining fun.

I think East shore trade  is a recommended seller, i already buy some product from the seller a few months ago.

But ,  $1599 are seriously high price for 1,7Ths and 54Mhs dual miner...
With $135 shipping fee and (maybe) $350 tax duty..ohh so overpriced...

AliExpress uses escrow on all items due to scammers so I assume if it is a scam they're trying to send out something that looks similar and won't perform as well and hope you the buyer do not notice and okay the payment.

That might be all good and well but look at amount of day's it's considered ok on delivery.

No need to derail this thread feel free to PM me.  I don't want this thread to get all off topic over a second party selling units.

I think they are dreaming on 1200 for an A2 at this point.  I sold my A2 long long ago.  And I rented the crap out of it to get ROI.

Looking forward to this dual miner though.  I just want to buy one to play with.

yeah this is it and with  the coupon it was 2 for 2279 including shipping.

plus they take paypal.

these are supposed to be 110mh  with 6 blades.

http://zoomhash.com/collections/asics/products/110mhs-scrypt-asic-plug-and-play-1000w-a2mega-door-to-door-within-3-5-business-days

last year I got in over my head with scrypt.  I had a house full of blades  and LTC tanked.

But zoomhash sold working gear and shipped me more then 7k in gear from April to Aug of 2014.

I gave the coupon out and someone purchased 2 getting 800 off.

so he gets 220mh for 2279 and the gear should show in under a week.

while the sfards here is 55mh for 1280 plus shipping and wait 6 weeks if lucky.

So if you have low cost power the zoomhash deal is better.  your 220mh will be working in 6 days or so.

Sfards is pretty much a bust if you can't get them until late august.

You would open a dispute if they sent you a 90.  The 110 came later on so I doubt many would try to trick people with a 90.

Some of the A2's did slow down some after long use, so might ask of screenshot of it mining before buying.
