Update 23/6/2015

SF100-the first 28nm Dual-Mode Miner is getting into mass production

With the experience of developing dual-mode chip and miner manufacturing  succeeded from Gridseed, Sfards Technology has successfully developed and produced the first FD-SOI 28nm SHA-256 (Bitcoin) and Scrypt ( Litecoin ) dual-mode mining chip SF3301, in massive scale. After more than one month evaluating, prototyping, and extreme-condition pressure testing, the first 28nm dual-mode miner, SF100, is about to be produced massively.

SF100 dual-mode miner has 24 SF3301 chips, with the running modes as following:

  • Dual mining mode, Bitcoin hashing power 1700 GHS + Litecoin hashing power 47 MHS, the power consumption at wall of whole miner is 960W.
  • Bitcoin single mining mode: Hashing power 1700 GHS, power consumption 770W.
  • Litecoin single mining mode: Hashing power 47 MHS, power consumption 180W.

With 0.45W/GHS + 3.8W/MHS, the power efficiency of SF100 is by far the best in the market. It is also possible to overclock to certain extent (Sha-256: 2T, Scrypt: 55M).

The unique ability of dual-mode mining makes SF100 the best choice of mining community. It offers more choices to dig potentials not only of Bitcoin, but also of Litecoin and other altcoins. For fiat currency investors, dual-mode is good for them because SF100 maximizes their profits; for Bitcoin“fundamentalists”, it’s also preferable since the altcoin revenue helps them to cover the power cost of mining Bitcoin.

Based on recent Bitcoin and Litecoin price, a dual-mode SF100’s revenue equals to a 2.8-3.2T pure Bitcoin miner, which makes it 0.3-0.34W/GHS power efficiency. (Take June 19th price for instance, one SF100 generates 4.2 USD from Bitcoin and 3.8 USD from Litecoin, in total 8 USD per day).

Sfards Technology will be selling SF100 to public on July; the first batch quantity is limited. The SF3301 chip will be available for sale on August.

If you are interested at our products, please send email to info@sfards.com

...

I sent an email to you at info@sfards.com  in regards to the SF100

Thank you in advance for reading it.

best regards philipma1957

I think we need a group buy set up if the minimum is going to stay at 100 units.

Very nice miner, my only complaint would be the unit be designed to be stack-able appears that it may be a problem with the current dimensions.

But I am interested. Email Sent.

Its two boards at 12 chips each board....what they want to charge for this won't make it viable for a home miner Ill tell you that much.

I rather receive it than it be hosted but it really depends on what your rates are and how much to ship it to us when we want it.

I first need more information from Sfards. A group buy with hosting could be interesting for there's a trade treaty between China and Switzerland. So if they can supply a delivery with a Letter of Origin, it could - for European clients - be cheaper to send them to Switzerland instead to their country for no VAT will be due. However, this would only work with larger quantities, for otherwise, the transportation companies charge such a huge surplus for small deliveries that the no-VAT-rule becomse obsolete...

Sending the miner to your address would depend on where you are, what company you chose for sending the miner and - what we don't know yet - the weight of the parcels...

Currently, we can host up to to a couple of hundred of these miners @ 240 V IF the specs given above are correct.

Same here!   I agree with the Dr.

Probably one or two units for me depending on the price.

They tell first batches are for bulk orders only.I'm afraid of that when it really is available for ordinary little miners,it is too late to buy any miner unless it's practically free. And it won't be that cheap. So after all the hype:disappointment.

For any serious home miner, initial bulk orders should not be an issue, at least not while subscribed to this forum as the simple answer to that (as has already been said) is group buys. Just that critical outstanding issue of pricing to see if even a group buy would be worthwhile then ....

I would love to run a group buy for these units but would only do so with Sfards' blessing.

This would be the very best! OgNasty definitely has the skill and reputation to run a group buy, Sfards needs to give their blessing ASAP!

I would also be interested in setting up a U.S. based Group Buy.  If someone from sfards would like to make a comment on this I can go ahead and start arranging one.

Group buy in EU would be good but I don't think it's gonna happen.Shipping and custom fees from America to Finland are much too high.

I am also in the EU but do not want to say a group buy to the EU is never going to happen, it just depends on whether there is interest from EU based home-miners in the gear and whether we can get an impecable and reputable individual to run the group buy. Saying that, it does (on the face of it) look like a long shot .... but why not!? Short of it, there is always the resale market .... fleabay and all.
