I hope those were in box, filled with nice comfy foam, or at least with paper fragments...

Under development Modular UPGRADEABLE Miner (MUM). Looking for investors.
Changing one PCB with screwdriver and you have brand new miner in hand... Plug&Play, scalable from one module to thousands.

DHL was fast.

Very nice, are you using them to make a lava lamp?

Not yet, but 2 chips @25w each should work.
Here is my "dev board" finally routed. Let's hope it'll work.

My dropbox folder with the work in progress schematics is updated.

Looks pretty clean, make them white.  So tired of seeing the boring green boards.

I'll bet that any color PCB costs more over the common Green one, if it's even available from his favorite fab house.

Generally correct.  Besides, white and black solder mask are fairly opaque.  Green and yellow tend to be nice and translucent.  Slight bit easier to troubleshoot before committing to a final design.

Good luck Smiley

Nice! keep us updated when you have the chip working...did they provide the firmware for it?

How big is the chip? looks pretty big compared to most SHA/scrypt chips.

The chip silicon and substrate sizes are in the datasheet [...].  SF3301 substrate is 19x19mm.  Minion is 25x25mm - a fair bit larger, while KnC's public offerings were a massive 55x55mm.
It should be the same size as Spondoolies-Tech's RockerBox [...].
( A bunch of this data is in the wiki )

You can always send him a beer over the blockchain  Wink that's, what makes bitcoin great.

That would be appreciated, but don't forget that it's "just" some kind of custom dev board with 2 chips.

More serious things are on their way and will be teased once the dev board gives me a few results for voltage/efficiency settings.
Probably nothing until next week since I'm currently almost full time busy with family, and it seems the PCBs won't be delivered before thursday.

Parts price so far:
chips: 400$ +32$ shipping +80$ taxes
PCBs: 50$ each (100mmx150mm, 4 layers, 2oz copper, immersion gold)

BOM will be uploaded once the design is tested and working.

Yeah you'd think they'd be rushing to the market with this. Too bad really with LTC jumping in price but the good news is my Innosilicon is making money again.

They might be taking their time with the whole testing and burnout phase while they fill their coffers with litecoin.

Is anyone using them, do we have proof they work?
