What's stopping us from confirming these transactions ourselves? We have 10% of the network solo mining.  Grin

This is still on top of an unconfirmed transaction it seems.
(search for DeaDTerra's 1DXyYV4oxehn828ZnRSvuziArPoJLQq7SM address in GGGGG's tx link to see a transaction going in)

I guess we have to patch our miners to do so Cheesy

This is the earliest transaction which has to reach 100 confirmations, before it can be spent. It is 73 now. The rest of the transactions are horribly chained after that, so, it could be a while...

Its really hard to see that avalon is giving zero support now. I mean i have a batch on hold since 4 days, the transaction has over 600 confirmations but nothing moves... and no one from avalon gets back to me... its putting pressure on me because its groupbuyers bitcoins mostly and im starting to get a bit angry now... i mean not giving support on products... might be... but no support at all... no chance to reach someone?

Not wanting to spam this thread, nor to discourage you, but: I tried every single communication channel available for weeks now - not a single line of feedback Sad

Good Luck

sorry... offtopic...

I would like friedcat to go visit avalon... im sure they could learn something... Smiley but im nearly at the point posting in chinese subforum and asking someone there to phone them or even visit them... i mean that would be nearly stalking but money being involved and zero communication... they cant complain.

Please ALWAYS contact me through bitcointalk pm before sending someone coins.

I am guessing this is a solo mined block? Do all mined blocks need 100 confirms before they can be spent?

Yes, it's the coinbase transaction of a solo mined block. It matures at 100 confirmations, and can't be expended until then. The standard clients will simply reject the transaction until then.

So how was it used as an input the the dividend payments if it hasn't matured?

Probably just an oversight? Given that this is the first dividend since solo mining, it's possible that friedcat didn't take this into account. When the pools were sending him money they probably would wait 100 confirmations on their end so he likely didn't think of withholding these particular coins.

Is friedcat really doing these errand boy tasks himself? It's obvious there should be someone else who does these kinds of things, or automate it.

Yeah, but shouldn't the client reject the transaction if it's trying to use an immature input?

Sending out a million dollars 8k btc worth of dividends doesn't exactly register as "errand boy" to me .. if friedcat doesn't do it,  some other C level exec has too.

Your explanation is much appreciated. Thank you for dwelling into this - it seems logical that solo-mining generated coins were not validated - but the non validation wasn't expected.
