So that's it? They fired Greg and now we have to wait another 3 weeks to find out what the moves are going forward. Seems like the team is just buying more time to dump on those who think its a good time to buy cheap amps.

Fuck these scammers are more cutthroat then I first thought.

I WANT A REFUND!

If you burn decent amount of AMP's, there you have bigger value. Without any new investments or buying onthe market. Just burn those coins team.

I second this. I hope the team seriously considers burning a significant amount of AMPs and coming up with a reasonable inflation rate.
I think this is the best move Synereo could make right now to get some momentum back. Those AMPs being held currently do nothing for the project but drive investors away just for the hope that they may be useful to the project in the future.
If instead you had a reasonable inflation rate where a % goes to the people who use the network and a % goes to development, you could still hold *some* AMPs for future development (maybe 50-100m) AND have future funding from inflation WITHOUT driving investors away.

Advantages:
1) Gain momentum in price and sentiment
2) Attract new investors
3) Likely to avoid legal issues as investors will be able to get their refund through the market essentially (And then desperately wish they hadn't a couple months later)
4) Restore confidence for the future of Synereo

This is the quickest way I think to basically fix the current problems Synereo is facing and make everyone happy again.
I agree to make another burning proposal .

Synereo got hurt by the latest controversy. Work out a new development plan is a "Must" but that isnt enough I think,  we should do something more  to recover the confidence and momentum of the Market.

Burning  a significant amount of AMPs is  one of simple and useful strategy.

Good idea, those calling for legal blood and refunds need to 'feel the Burn' to exorcise the recent demons and disappointments. It's a good way to rule a line in the sand, and a way to boost the cummunities vibe

First of all, congrats to Synereo team and board members for making this not easy decision to move on without Greg. All the best to Greg, but I believe this was necessary.

Many people are asking for refunds, these are mostly those who have participated in ICO-2. I'm pretty sure refund is not in the plan, please read the t&cs of the ico-2 agreement. But let's say, refund happens, then it won't be fair to investors who purchased AMPs at the exchanges believing in Synereo's product roadmap and vision? Refunding them is will be almost impossible. Refunding one community and not doing the same for the others will probably make this drama continue further into 2017-2018...

There is one solution I guess that will appease everyone, which was already mentioned a few times by other members, and that is to burn considerable amount of AMPs so that the total supply of AMPs decreases significantly and this would automatically appreciate the value of AMPs that investors (small and big) are holding at the moment.

thats correct, i think there is alot of lost confidence in the market, usually when this happens the coins dead, i mean all the coin is now is what? i social media coin? should be worth 1mill market cap if that, social media coin holds no value...

1 mil?? No, no, no... You got it all wrong. All of crypto is speculation. Synereo would be HIGHLY undervalued at 30 mil market cap (1mil, what? lmfao). Why? Because it's a bet, and we have enough information to see how high synereo's cap can go if they simply release a beta. Synereo can EASLY get to 200-400m range on beta hype just like steem did. So it would only be a double or nothing bet if the marketcap was currently around 100m and you only believed the chances of them releasing *A* beta (just a beta, not the most successful beta release or anything lol...) are only 50%.
So you think it's not highly highly highlyyyyyy fucking undervalued at it's current 3mil marketcap (1/10th of dogecoin's marketcap ffs)? People like you are the reason people like me find it so easy to make money - because you don't know how to properly value a bet.

I think there's at least a 70% chance they'll release a beta and on the wings of that hype the cap will reach at LEAST 100m. So at the current 3m cap, I believe there to be a 70% chance I'll make at least 30x return.

there is no need for it to be a coin, it can just be a platform. sad really  Undecided

You're joking right? Why are you even invested in Synereo if you're ignorant of the advantages of a decentralized social platform?..
A coin is needed for:
1) Attention economy - So most of the value of the network goes to the users rather than Mark Zuckerberg's bank account
2) Decentralized network - So the network itself will eventually run on the chain making it censor proof and resistant to certain political views being unfairly promoted by the makers of the network

These are literally the 2 main reasons to invest in Synereo, and it seems you never even knew since you don't understand why a coin is needed.
I'm a futurist. The future will be highly automated and much of our mindless repetitive jobs will be taken over by machines. Once the coming age of abundance (as Michio Kaku calls it) arrives, many of the mindless repetitive jobs will be replaced by creative jobs as the careers people choose will move away from what machines can do and into a niche of what machines can not (in the foreseeable future) do. We're already witnessing the rise of a social attention economy with the explosion of youtubers and bloggers who have made content creation into a career. I can't overstate how huge the social attention economy will be in the future - whether synereo is among the first to capitalize on it or not.
The need for a decentralized social platform is also huge (look at the facebook, twitter, and youtube controversies that have happened JUST in the past year) and that can't feasibly be done without a blockchain which needs a coin.

Synereo can be madly successful because it's coming at the perfect time. Millions of people upset with facebook for filtering certain political views, Twitter for banning people like Milo Yiannopoulos, and youtube for taking down videos on false DMCA charges - all these millions of users are currently SCREAMING for a non-centralized non-controlled solution. I mean hell, if Milo told his hoard of fans "I'm on Synereo now because they don't unfairly ban you for political views like Twitter does", Synereo would instantly have 10's of thousands of users pouring in over night.
Synereo is currently in the lead for an alternative to facebook or twitter in what could easily be a trillion dollar market over the next 5-10 years (Facebook currently sitting around 350 billion alone).
So how can anyone possible think the current marketcap is anything but extremely undervalued?
I can't help but visualize a bunch of chimps throwing a priceless diamond at each other as if it's feeces. This is the stupidity the market is currently displaying.

I mean come on now, Synereo sitting behind RUBY COIN in market cap lmao.
Sitting behind NXT which is DEAD as far as development and has no hope in reaching a decent cap.
Synereo is #45 and is easily one of the most interesting (if not THE most interesting) blockchain projects.
99% of other coins trying to be bitcoin clones will find it impossible to stand out or gain traction.
How hard will it be to convince a friend to use an anarchist crypto currency rather than cash or debit?
How hard will it be to convince a friend to use a decentralized and non-controlled social network which PAYS YOU to use it?
The upside to synereo is unreal right now.

It's not true at all that they have nothing to show. Have you been paying attention to the community hangouts at all?
I mean if you're tech savvy enough you can test their social platform right now.

Will the burning happen? I got friends waiting to buy in if this does as of course it means moon landing with stargate coordinates. I will be looking to see what the project is about as I like to do my due diligence and see what each coin represents before I invest in it. Smiley
