My name is Darren (www.linkedin.com/in/darrenolneyfraser (http://www.linkedin.com/in/darrenolneyfraser)) and I am CEO of the Tigereum Project. I am an experienced company director and investor.   I have been a company director on about 50 boards, including 6 listed companies. I practiced law for 20 years (was Partner in a global law firm), and have been CEO of a listed funds management company for 10 years. I raised and profitably deployed over $200,000,000 over the last 15 years. This time I am raising about $15m in a Token Swap (founder lock-up included) and I would like to share it with you. Q     What if my IM friend does not want to receive crypto?
A     Tigereum will exchange your crypto into your friend’s preferred currency when they redeem their funds.  This can occur at their cost without any hassle to you at the time you message your crypto.

Q     Which social media platforms would I be able to use Tigereum on to message crypto?
A     We will make it possible for you to message crypto on all major social media platforms.   Tigereum’s solution is flexible, globally scalable, independent of any one social media platform, which means we can be quick to market.

Q     Will Tigereum’s messaging bot be secure on social media platforms?
A     Tigereum will keep faith with the expectations of the crypto community by combining the best security features of encryption, blockchain, anonymity, crypto wallets and crypto exchanges into our solution architecture, so that messaging crypto is as secure as your digital wallet. We appreciate that many people in this community do not use traditional social media like Facebook, however many other people still do.

Q      Did you write your prototype bot code?
A      No, I do not write code.  However, a prototype bot is being built to test our proposition in a simple and effective way until we complete the Token Swap and can begin a fully funded development.

Q     What about the 2012 regulatory proceedings against you by ASIC in Australia?
A     I have been a company director on about 50 boards, including 6 listed companies. what is the difference between your project and other ? you know, there are number of similar instant messaging platforms.

Tigereum is different because we will target users who are not into crypto yet but want to be. We will help bring the average person into crypto by developing smooth customer solutions which are more like the ones they use everyday on social media. Digital wallets are great for early adopters, and also for large crypto transfers where security is particularly important.  However the average non-crypto person is struggling to enter the crypto world because user interfaces are difficult for them. Our community needs to develop more user-friendly customer interfaces if we want cryptocurrencies to become  mainstream (which we do). Tigereum will enable new crypto users to send small amounts of crypto in an instant message on their preferred social media channels like they share photos with their friends. This will help to grow the crypto pie.

Because there are several similar projects, and reading your project, will it be used only for non-commercial use, that is, more aimed at domestic users?

Correct. Tigereum is enabling small social payments between friends and family on social media, not commercial transfers. It can operate across all currencies of course (for example, migrant workers). But Tigereum is not for large, commercial payments, as they are better served by digital wallets and projects aimed at improving the integration of digital wallets into commercial environments, which is not us. Our target market is the "normal person" who does not usually use crypto, but who will give it a go if the customer interface is easier for them, and more like what they are used to with their everyday social media accounts. Tigereum's solution will also be very handy for the hard-core crypto user who wants to send small amounts of crypto to friends and family who are not into crypo, but who need a bridge between crypto and fiat without them having to get a digital wallet. We believe smoother customer interfaces for non-crypto types will help make crypto more mainstream, and eventually this will contribute to the mass adoption of decentralised currencies.  The ongoing upward price trajectory of cryptocurrencies relies on Tigereum-like products for the everyday person to use crypto easily.

BITCOIN IS A MOVEMENT

Darren Olney-Fraser says Bitcoin is a movement, and it’s not going away.

Olney-Fraser is Chief Executive Officer of cryptocurrency Tigereum.

“Bitcoin is people-power pushing back against the established financial system, and it exhibits all the behaviours of a movement” he said.

Olney-Fraser says he is proud to be part of the Bitcoin movement.

What are the principles of the Bitcoin movement? They are decentralisation, distributed power, transparency, open source, and accountability to all users.  It is a trust-based model which relies on people in a network co-operating openly and transparently with each other.

These are the principles set out in the Whitepaper released by Satoshi Nakamoto which started the Bitcoin movement in 2008.

Mr Olney-Fraser says that the Bitcoin movement, kicked off by Satoshi Nakamoto, has achieved something quite remarkable: “A very sophisticated alternative financial infrastructure has been developed collaboratively by people across the world, and no-one owns or controls it” said Mr Olney-Fraser.

Bitcoin has unified people from every country, across political, cultural and demographic divides, who have worked together to achieve something which our largest, transnational companies are envious of and our governments fear.

Mr Olney-Fraser says the increasing value of Bitcoin this year is occurring as people realise the enormity of this movement, and what it represents, in an historic sense, about how our our financial systems is evolving beyond banks and government: “Markets and investors have realised that Bitcoin is a movement which is here to stay, and banks and governments cannot control it any longer.” 

Of course, governments will want to tax and regulate Bitcoin, and banks will lobby them to do so. However, this movement might well be bigger than governments can handle. The rules have changed.  This is global. This is people power. Bitcoin is going to be hard to kill off.

I was fortunate enough to get some tokens in the pre-sale period after I got to try your prototype bot. Since then, there have been many more positive reviews of your business concept and a lot more momentum. To be honest I'm regretting not grabbing more in the pre-sale!

Founder tokens are locked up for 90 days after the public listing of Tigereum on 18 December. This is enforced by the use of ERC-20 Smart Contracts as outlined in our Whitepaper.

We will certainly be committing some of our corporate profits to a token buyback scheme (voluntary participation for token holders). Pre-swap participants token holders like yourself will get priority in the first buyback round. We expect to burn the tokens we buy back. This is expected to contribute to a longer term rise in the net asset value of Tigereum, delivering value gains for all Tigereum token holders. You know in my place right now, i dont go to the post office to send money to my loved ones. I go to small remittance companies. There i am well accommodated, they give a fast and easy transactions and if some problem arises  i can just call them and tell them the problem and it is solve in a minute. 1.  Facebook supports bots, and Tigereum will need to comply with its bot policies.  Have not asked Mark Z directly about it yet though.  Facebook will want to see a working prototype, and they may indeed have some views. Hey when you look at your eth key in etherscan and see all the tokens listed(I have six), how come the price for TIG isn't displayed?

All my other tokens have prices on them, where are these picked up from? I'm guessing etherdata isn't linked to etherscan?

not all token prices are taken from etherdelta, there are some tokens that are not sold in etherdelta but prices are listed. I also do not understand. my token listed in hitbtc but price are showing.

As of now the distribution of tigereum token reward from bounty campaign that manage by jamal are not yet received can I ask why theres no update from you when the distribute our reward will start?

Hello. I want to talk about the Tigereum project.
It is a service for sending money to your relatives and friends in messengers and social networks. The huge advantage of this project is that it already works and has an alpha version of its bots. They are available for testing in telegrams and facebook.
 
A total of 20 million coins were issued. The price of 1 coin is now about 10 cents, i.e. total capitalization of only 2 million dollars. Huge growth potential. Projects with only ideas and promises have a capitalization of hundreds of millions of dollars, and the project with a really working product is still only 2 million. I expect that in the near future, as soon as many investors learn about the project, the price of a coin will grow several times (x5-x10-x50) and make you truly rich.

We foreshadowed yesterday that Tigereum is going to establish a network of Local Partners in each country, to enable Tigereum to deliver a global footprint. Each Local Partner will set up a digital wallet and bank account for Tigereum transactions which occur in their country.  When a friend is sent Tigereum on social media and they want to sell it to receive money in their bank account, Local Partners will buy that Tigereum and pay for it by sending money to the friend’s bank account.  An online application form for Local Partners will be on our website www.tigereum.io shortly. HOW TIGEREUM WORKS

STEP 1
Buy Tigereum on one of our bots
Our limit is €250 worth of Tigereum (based on current price of Tigereum on coinmarketcap.com)
We can show you the value of the Tigereum you’re buying in any currency

STEP 2
Pay with MasterCard or VISA
Tigereum securely process payments from Mastercard or VISA debit or credit cards
We will charge your Mastercard or VISA in the currency of your debit or credit card at the coinmarketcap rate for Tigereum plus 5%
Tigereum does not store your personal information (this is securely held by our bank partner)

STEP 3
You get a Tigereum Certificate for your Tigereum
We allocate Tigereum from our own digital wallet to you in our ledger, and hold that for your benefit until you tell us what you want to do with it (next step)
We buy enough Tigereum on the market within 24 hrs (aggregated with other orders that day) so that we have enough Tigereum in our digital wallet at all times to cover all orders in a day

STEP 4
You tell us what you want to do with your Tigereum
You can provide a digital wallet address for us to deposit your Tigereum into, or send it to a friend

STEP 5
If you send your Tigereum to friend, your friend can:
a.  Ask us to deposit your Tigereum into their digital wallet, or

b.  Sell your Tigereum, and deposit the cash proceeds into their bank account. We will ask your friend what currency they want to receive their money in, and we will show them the value of your Tigereum in that currency, so they know how much they will get from selling your Tigereum. We are setting up a network of Local Partners in each country to buy Tigereum locally and transfer funds locally to your friend, for speed and least-friction.  Our Local Partners will buy your Tigereum at the current coinmarketcap rate less 5%.

STEP 6
Pay with Tigereum
Pay a merchant or service provider with Tigereum the same way that you send Tigereum to friends or family

In order to maintain integrity in our Local Partner network, and to meet the high standards of Identity Verification requirements in countries like the USA, UK, Euro, Australia & Canada, we need verify the identity of Local Partners when they register.  To help reduce the risk of fraudulent registrations, we will require Local Partners to take a selfie of themselves holding their photo ID document so that we can be sure it is their ID they are providing.  In time, we will get properly sophisticated and make this a biometric selfie matched against the photo ID.  We will check this ID against government databases for politically-exposed and sanctioned individuals.
