Note that this is a legitimate post. While it takes the piss out of yours, it actually has community input and doesn't make false accusations because "you feel like it". These are REAL scammers and people who should be traded with caution.

As for the oldsport allegation, I'll say it again find some real evidence to back that up. I have scammed no one and continue to use BTC to socialize in this crypto community, however I mainly use BTC for sports betting. Nothing more. It makes it easier then having to send money to random countries and receiving money from them for the offshore betting.

Ah, so on the same day a guy called "scotaloo" comes and spreads phishing links on various chat sites, compromises a few accounts including a domain name, tries to sells the mentioned domain name on bitcointalk using the same name "scotaloo", with a signature of 'plenty of phish in the sea -pirateat40', and asks someone to make a 'gone phishing' sign, and you claim you didn't phish? Also check for his sign into devinthedev bitcointalk account. And pretty sure my coinchat IPs match the ones you've signed in from bitcointalk.

This evidence is something that will definitely pass in civil courts.

Ip addresses don't match, anyways, I would be willing to bet that whoever hacked this 'devin' person probably used a tor node that was used by hundreds of users here that day, and I only use TOR/VPN/compromised SSH servers to browse the internet.

Maged has accused me of ban evading, saying that I owned BASICasic, even though BASICasic isn't banned. No other mod has accused me of anything just Maged.

No real evidence has been posted yet, screenshots are not evidence.

TF would be right to accuse me seeing as I've highlighted various security issues with his site, there are threads about it everywhere.

It's not about 100% accuracy because that's impossible to prove. However, when you combine all of the events and facts, it becomes obvious that you've pretty much being trolling as the phisher and now are like "wtf i didn't do that!" trying to not get banned.

Read this line again. Random people who don't phish do not put "plenty of phish in the sea -pirateat40" and ask for a "GONE PHISHING" sign.

Actually I remember you trying to sell me the bitcointalk.org secret question / answer vulnerability through coinchat that you used to compromise BitcoinOxygen.

Actually I remember you trying to sell me the bitcointalk.org secret question / answer vulnerability through coinchat that you used to compromise BitcoinOxygen.

That flaw was disclosed to Theymos before that and was already public, check the chatlogs on #btcoxygen that day.

Random people who don't phish do not put "plenty of phish in the sea -pirateat40" and ask for a "GONE PHISHING" sign..

I'd like everyone to read this, this just sums up TF in one line, this is the evidence he's using to come after me. If you look at my previous posts, I mix up word that begin with f and sometiems spell them with ph, so now I'm a hacker because I can't spell?

That's just in addition to you using the same nick. What are the chances of someone using the same nick "scotaloo" on both sites on the same day? OK, the chances of that are still plausible. What are the chances that they both use tor? Still plausible. What are the chances that the forum account is selling a domain name acquired through phishing on a chat account? What are the chances that the forum account makes multiple references to phishing, and is trying to sell vulnerabilities used to compromise an account, and is used to leave trust ratings on me that I'm pirateat40, and mentions that he keeps tabs on all the other phishers, and goes

There are no posts on this account from that day, and obviously the person gave me the username before I bought it and I checked the last active date before sent the BTC, I remember it hadn't been active in a while, and I received the account a few days later after that domain ad was made, that's besides the point because that ad doesn't mean I stole the domain.

Saying something again and again does not make it true.

Anyway, let's go back to this post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=244859.msg2596545#msg2596545

Do you have any explanation for how you or the "previous account owner" is trying to sell devinthedev.com when the events regarding the domain was:

1. devinthedev gets phished, loses domain
2. forum post trying to sell the domain
3. scotaloo asks for $10 to give the domain back to the rightful owner
4. devinthedev pays
5. No longer available

?

Sure, stolen domains are advertised by Sedo all the time, your saying Sedo hacked them too?

Listing a domain for sale does not mean it was stolen by that person, its probably a joke by the previous owner of this account who is actually a close friend of devin, and admin can confirm that by IP as no proxy was used by him.

Logical fallacy. The lister of the domain is not sedo even if is on sedo - it is the user who listed it.

Have you ever phished: yes or no?

No, but thats a stupid question because me saying yes wouldn't prove I did.

Even though there is proof against you, that's a fallacy. If I go into court and plead guilty to a murder with little proof against me, does that mean the court will not punish me? No, they will punish me unless there is massive proof that I DIDN'T commit the murder.

I'm pleading not guilty here lol! I never entered a plea yet, me just saying yes could be a troll, in a court its legally binding.

You admit to being a scammer, what's the point of trying to have people think of you as a different type of scammer? Nothing, it's just fucking silly.

If you want, I can hold your "50 BTC" in escrow and let other people quote me to witness it, on terms that if "hard evidence" is found within 1 week, you lose the BTC.

Oh wait, you wouldn't "pay back everyone" anyway.

I offered to put 50BTC into a 2 of 3 escrow, me with one key and two trusted members with keys. Each holder would then verify claims from victims, if it can be proven beyond reasonable doubt that I scammed the BTC would be released to them.

A 3 signature escrow? Of course, I could hold a key for that, which would be signed to release the escrow if your "hard evidence2 is found.

You know what I'm talking about, if they're paying you 500BTC I want 50BTC and you can post the screenshot the other guy took and we won't come after you, we promise.

you Bulgarians need to learn about sarcasm. like they'd pay me money to talk. 500 btc? i doubt they even have 5 btc between them, lol

Ok dude, you can post it but I wannt 100BTC (yeah 50BTC wasn't enough) thats all, we don't care about you you're of no interest and neither is the other guy, besides the other guy, he's a pro. We tried doxing him, all his info his fake, stealth paypal the works, nobody has heard from him in weeks either and to top it off, he never asked any questions just done as asked and stacked his paper and left, he's of no risk to us.

If anyone wants me to post the screenshot I'll do it for 100BTC. Or you can pay r3wt more to post his copy

Let me explain, you've got some evidence, you think it's me or something well it's not. It's just some poor guy who got mixed up with us, he doesn't know anything, this goes really really deep, aussie prick knows that (see what I did there?). Also you didn't root bitcointalk like you told radnom, yep we have the chatlog.

Look someone is offering you money to disclose the info then post it please and give me some of it, we're not worried at all I can promise you fully that we won't come looking for you, yes we have your dox, we have everybodys really your not special, like trade will tell you we have guys whos job it is is to dox people 24/7.

Anyways, we will find Radnom he will answer to the consequences of what he done, in a few hours he will officially be on the no-flight list (gotta love the whole anti-terrorism thing, eh?) so he better catch that train to the airport FAST.

Radnom, or whatever else you call yourself, you were a nice guy and you served us well thats why we gave you a head start, but don't think you can just drop off the radar. We will find you.

For those of you who are really confused, I'm going to sum up the situation, remember Adrian Lamo? the worlds most hated hacker, thats just like TradeFortress. Remember Bradley Manning? thats Radnom, it's almost the same story.

Radnom trusted trade with his life, and trade fucked him over for some 'fame' or something.

I can't believe you were that dumb trade, thanks for letting us know we had a leak, we might not have figured out if it wasn't for all your help, would you like a tip?

This is Bitcoin, trust no one, especially TradeFortress.

And you guys actually think we don't have a donator account? ;)

My thoughts exactly. If they were any good, they wouldn't need to keep talking themselves up. Not to mention, these phishing sites and java exploits are all just pre-packaged scripts. I don't even know that these guys know how to code.

Also, this thread has given a great deal of context to things that have happened, so it was good to read. We now have verification that these are Luzsec wannabes. Only skiddies leak dox.

Guys, just give up.

I'm speaking the truth here, you're investigating a completely unrelated 'phishing ring', LOL! We know what you are talking about, I don't know how you managed to connect the dots but we have nothing to do with that crew.

TradeFortress, BCB, Maged, Psybin, Diamond, none of you people have a single clue whats really going on. We've realized how much of a non-issue this whole thing is, your 'investigation' is completely silly and pointless. You don't have any real evidence or persons of interest.

Trade, sorry to say but all of the information you've purchased from various sources was a complete waste of money, nothing you have is useful, nobody you contacted is useful, continue wasting your time please, this whole 'investigation' is hilarious!

If they're really totally unrelated, why are there links between one of 'their' compromised accounts (acs26) and you? :)

And I do have plenty of things you don't know I have, and I certainly aren't going reveal them yet.

I can't speak portuguese, I can speak a number of languages though.

You do know that in most countries people are almost forced to learn English? The TV is in English, they make us learn it in school, they give us English tests that we have to pass and if we fail we get in trouble, most people outside of the US speak some English at least bro.

Thats only something an American would say lol! I speak English, I could be from England right? wouldn't that make sense? I could be an American living abroad, there are a lot of those right? haha, most American hackers will have to flee the US at some point, the NSA spy like hell as we all saw, it's too easy to get caught there and they will throw you straight into prison, the rest of the world is much fairer when it comes to justice for the most part.

If you seeking the location of a hacker, the last place you should check is the US because thats the first place LE will check.

r3wt, here's one for you.

Lets say by some miracle of God that somebody out there gets full dox, keep in mind that not even the fucking embassy knows where I live because I like to live off the grid. Guess what? all of my important belongings fit in 1 bag that I can carry on a plane. I'm hundreds of thousands of miles away from home, I don't trust anyone so I have no 'real' friends that I care about.

I'd be off to the Himalaya's or some shit within minutes! and I wouldn't even have to pay extra to check my luggage in on the flight! $100 flight and *poof*. ;) I'd simply stay there for x number of month and go 'hey India, give me am Indian passport I've been here the required amount of time or fulfilled all the requirements' and be off to my next destination of choice, new entry stamp-less passport in hand which I can use to start again with a clean slate.

its an interesting story, i'll give you that. but this is real life bro. karma and shit you know?

I actually don't give a fuck about the IP 49.176.67.225 :)

Yes, I've used it before. I've been doing some digging on a RAT file that has the phone home set to my IP:

BTCTalkAccs pointed me to this virustotal analysis of a DarkComet/DarkKomet RAT with the name 'minecraft.exe':

https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/9970283d1c08091f9260a5bbbc76220ed7b88b75d8352bcbfe35c4730f608262/analysis/

This RAT is set to phone home to: 58.111.143.105:200, which is my IP and on the port 200. However, this is quite meaningless as anyone can do that - it's no different than linking to another webpage. This is the first time I became aware of 'minecraft.exe', and a search on 9970283d1c08091f9260a5bbbc76220ed7b88b75d8352bcbfe35c4730f608262 doesn't turn up anything.

It also has the file name MSRSAAP.EXE, which turns up on virustotal here:

https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/4589cc7f0791e87906da850d27306637d01a71fb6aca9cee74be84c5bfff65c2/analysis/

The SHA hash doesn't also turn up anything other than virustotal on Google, but there are a lot of info on the name MSRSAAP.EXE.

This malware has been posted by the user "manolz" as some anti-anticheat or something:
http://www.gamersoul.com/forums/showthread.php?185177-Hackshield-AntiHook-NoShield-0-1-beta/page3

Also on youtube by "iCrack Trainers" (shell youtube account):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VaKLmM40428

So, there's two possibilities:

1) I've been spreading malware disguised as anticheat bypasses and trainers for games that has been documented in English, Chinese and Russian while using my own IP address and have been doing it from 2012 or earlier decides to make a new RAT and upload it to virustotal and do nothing with it.

2) Someone who wants to frame me / plant false evidence and has a history of making game-related malware makes a new RAT that connects to my IP and port 200 (which isn't even open), uploads it to virustotal and does nothing with it.

If you look at the date (2013-06-09), you'll see that exactly a week earlier MoneyPakTrader got butthurt that I penetrated his website (which deals with currency exchange) - without doing any malicious damage - and found my IP address:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=223665
June 02, 2013, 05:36:28 PM

(I also have some other info on MoneyPakTrader, in relation to some of his other suspicious activites).

Given by the dates of MSRSAAP.EXE, I think it's also possible that it back when I was running a tor exit node on this IP and someone wanted to cloak their identity and tried to use Tor to do that. Obviously it didn't connect (not only is the port not open, but also you can't use tor to do this AFAIK as the command server packets will not be tunneled back), so they did nothing with minecraft.exe and somehow this was uploaded on June 09th (maybe because they got arrested, had HDD seized and had all the files analyzed)? I'm still leaning towards MoneyPakTrader.

You decide. Thanks for digging that out, BTCTalkAccounts!

So is that a refusal to answer? Are you giving theymos permission to check the logs and disclose if its your IP or not?

I've got some pretty hard evidence, and also have information on the other phishing operations (like furrycoat - not saying that's directly related to you).

Also, I'm not sure if you understand but I didn't want BTCTalkAccounts banned (yet) for a reason. Should become more clear with the mega thread but I'm waiting for info (no, not the fake ones you get people to send to me) from a few people.

Or hacked by scotaloo or hacked by the other phisher..

And scotaloo would have replied to himself in this boring script-kiddies war they had right here ?
I don't see any point in that, maybe the 'other' phisher, then, guess I read too fast to be aware of him.

Hi,
My account was hacked by this guy. I am the real Cayce Franklin. The guy said on other recent posts (scams) that his name is Mark. I have since changed my password. My apologies if this has caused you any trouble. I have never even been to Minneapolois or anywhere else in Minnesota.

All I am doing is running a website called rainingbitcoin.com . I don't want anyone's money or Bitcoin, I don't mine, use asics, build them, or want to start an ipo. (these were some of the idiot's posts using my account). I am also not 13. I am 33. Hope you find him. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you (Lord knows it has caused me a lot today)

Then you were hacked by someone in scotaloo's ennemies team.
Which would mean they both play dirty. But have you been hacked, really ?

Or hacked by scotaloo or hacked by the other phisher..

All I know is that the guy who made posts on the 17th and 18th of july using this account was not me. He is a scammer.

I believe krudkeeper was hacked.

They're known for planting misinformation and doing the same thing twice, I'm pretty sure it is scotaloo trying to make us believe in the info that "krudkeeper" uncovered, and also had a suspicious PM exchange with BCB. Good thing I never PM'd him in the first place because of how suspicious his posts were.

It doesn't make much sense otherwise. This account was obviously not for scamming.

BTCTalkAccounts are a group. Ironcross360 was the 14 year old who was controlling krudkeeper - he's involved, and has been trying (& failing) to give me pathetically wrong information.

Very interesting, I wonder who it was. We didn't hack your account it was some other group or person, but we're just unsure who/which one...

We cut iron off a while ago btw just in case you were wondering. Any info he's trying to give you isn't from us, he doesn't know anything useful so he's making shit up because he thinks you will pay.

From reading the posts I'm thinking it wasn't iron, he's not smart enough to write a scam thread like that. His are all pathetic. Check his new account it's so ridiculous.

If it was this ironcross guy, he really screwed up my stuff here. RainingBitcoin is just now starting to gain some traction in advertising Bitcoin sites and this negative publicity is bad for my site. All of the stupid comments he made got me a lot of negative attention. One of the guys tells me there was a pedophile he asked to pay 50BTC, but the deadline was last month and his wife was already informed as he didn't pay or make any attempt to pay.

There was also some guy pretending to be us a few weeks back but he stopped scamming altogether after we "took" a large amount of his scamming profits from him. If that was your friend then he's fucked and a really bad scammer and bad person who deserves everything that might happen to him including v&. if it was the guy extorting your friend then you guys have nothing to worry about at all.

Scotaloo hasn't been around since July, I even had to "borrow" this account because believe it or not I don't have access to any accounts here anymore lol. We refunded all the people that we scammed who we deemed to be "nice guys" a while back, just like we said we would.

I can assure you that we're not the people threatening you unless your friend was the pedophile or guy pretending to be us. Its possible that you are r3wt trying to do something stupid again to make money so nobody give this guy pity money if he asks for it.

if the people are smart enough to see right through me can it not be reasoned they see through your charades as well?

The reason people can see right through you is because you suck at this and thats the understatement of the year.

See through my charades? It's hard to understand wtf your on about here. Humans are social beings and social status is very important to them. People lie, even the most looked up to and important people in the world lie just to uphold their social status. People lie to even their closest friends just to uphold their social status. This is why you shouldn't trust any people and especially their advice. This is why scotaloo cannot exist. This is why governments cannot exist. Trust No One.

The world is a strange place, people starve while others waste their money on expensive things they do not need. Your whole opinion of the world changes once you have more money than you know how to spend. I got rich, what do I do now? do I buy myself a big house and a porsche and take on the role of a rich asshole, the kind of person I hated the most when I had nothing at all.

I used to buy really cheap cars and just drive them until they died, I didn't have money to maintain a car or even money for insurance. When I got a new car I missed having to push my banger down the street to get it to start. I missed being able to just leave my car on the side of the road if I crashed it or it broke down because it was worthless. I missed fucking around with my car with tools trying to fix it myself when it broke. I hated all this extra shit I had to pay for and all the money grabbing people I had to deal with. I missed being poor, I was happier poor than I was rich.

Money is the biggest scam in the world and I'm not joking about that one bit, when you don't have it its all you want, when you have it you don't really need it, just enjoy your life, don't let anyone stop you from doing that, fuck money you don't need it.

BTCtalkaccounts/Scotaloo, YOU MUST SPEAK TO ME!

Just tell me, wtf do you want - what do you expect from us?

I'm sorry for basically leaving you out to dry, but I don't have any forum accounts to give you and scotaloo is separated and defunct.

Most of the people who scotaloo scammed were refunded, Atruk who just posted on this thread can confirm that as he was one such person. Anyone is welcome to try and find someone we didn't refund who didn't deserve to be scammed.

It's over man, sorry you got fucked over and didn't hit the cash but it's your own fault for snitching and for being stupid. You caused a lot of problems just because you wanted to buy a fucking alienware laptop. If you had not snitched and waited you could've bought 10 of them. TradeFortress has your dox btw so there's that too, you really shouldn't be scamming especially when you're so obvious.

We've been 'data mined' as you call it by pretty much everyone and the results they have come up with are pretty hilarious. When it comes to computers and the internet, evidence is very easy to destroy, modify and create. I'm hoping one of them posts our 'dox' someday, thats a thread I will come back to read!    No wonder so many scammers run wild here - I suspect 80% of the dox posted on bitcointalk are not the actual scammers, it wouldn't surprise me at all if Ross Ulbricht has been framed and he was just someone who had something to hide and had nothing to do with silk road at all - the kind of evidence the feds found is the exact kind of evidence I would've planted as a safe guard if I was DPR.

No point contacting me there ain't nothing I can do for you. We sold all the accounts that were not banned months ago. Now run along to your next username or fuck off please. I don't know what you expected us to do for you - but we're not doing shit.

I can confirm this much. I'm rather but not entirely resistant to the butthurt so I didn't do much more than post polite request for a refund whenever I saw a scotaloo post. Eventually I got the BTC0.04 back from a trade with a CoinChat account Scotaloo had phished. I didn't care to do much more, because getting butthurt over BTC0.04 wasn't worth it.

I never escalated because first, negotiating with terrorists makes poor policy, and second because I was honestly more pissed at the first dude for getting phished. Asshole presented himself as some sort of dev and months later he still struggles running some BTC faucet. At that time that screen name begging to trade $5 in paypal for BTC didn't seem too out of character and as time goes on it would seem even less out of character, but I'd make him GPG a contract really quick before entertaining the idea of a trade with him.

This isn't directed to you or team scotaloo, but more to people in general.

Honestly I have no idea if this is true or false. In the Bitcoin space a lot of people's dox are held by a lot of other people. Bringing yourself into the Bitcoin space means exposing yourself into a lot of counterparty risks of the sort you wouldn't have conceived of until it is too late.

Forums as a rule tend to fill themselves with lolcows. Generally it is boring business unless it does something like enrich the LabCoin scammers who were identified as a probable scam months before "momentum trades" and full frontal idiots latched onto them. As problematic as scotaloo was in particular and phishers, skiddies, and scammers are in general the larger problem isn't in bitcoin, but in idiots who think they can unprotected and without reading and understanding risk.

I don't want to sound too sympathetic to scotaloo or team scotaloo, but in most scams, especially the big ones like Pirateat40 and LabCoin, the scam happens less because there is a bad buy scammer than because people don't take the time to read how these scams have happened before. I'll probably have even less sympathy for the people who get burned when mcxnow goes bust than the people who fell for scotaloo or furrycoat.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=303795.msg3256239#msg3256239 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=303795.msg3256239#msg3256239) is the wrong attitude for bitcoin if you want to keep it. Scammers are like tornadoes, earthquakes, flood or fire. They exist, just like any natural thing. The wrong course of action is to assume nature will politely avoid you. The right course of action is to harden yourself for nature's indifference to your snowflakeness.

BTCtalkaccounts/Scotaloo, YOU MUST SPEAK TO ME!

This person is ironcross360.

This doesn't surprise me. He's been a suspected scammer since day 1 and posts like a complete retard.

Many thanks for this testimony, Atruk. I'd still would like to hear more, but I'm starting to wonder about scotaloo team agenda, looks a bit more complex than just "gimme dat monies".

They've always struck me as more troll than anything else. Maybe they just want to scam bigger money though. It is hard to say.

I mean Something Awful is full of idiots playing smarter than they are while 4chan is full of relatively smarter people playing dumber. That though is a generalization. The internet is only ever truly simple when simple people are looking at it.

Not knowing or caring enough about scotaloo to look deep their actions that I know of seem to follow patterns more endemic to some classical forms of trolling than scamming as such. Where before someone would normally be limited to harvesting tears and butthurt, bitcoin seems to have allowed them to harvest tears, butthurt, and money.

Still, you can't assume that these things won't happen. Generally social engineering is a much cheaper way to defeat cryptography than rubber hoses, five dollar wrenches and such things.

Hey BTCTalkAccounts, remember our convo early on? I bm'd you about the hacked accounts.

We never followed up, we could've caused so much damage together. Here's a hint on how the forum was really hacked:

moon@justmoon.de

Password reuse is bad, okay?

Pfff, like your cryptic minecraft.exe shit? I still remember when old scotty was all like "lol here's your dox dc" and it was entirely fake.

I don't get it. Nothing adds up with "// team scotaloo". >_<

Exactly, "team Scotaloo" looks like a wannabe LulzSec right now.

No, moon as in Stefan Thomas an admin on this forum - thats who the email belongs to thats very much well known, but he's irrelevant to the whole thing - its likely a diversion or someone trying to cover their ass - I don't fucking care anyways.

And then, TF goes and scams 4100 btc, making team scotaloo look like sheeps in wolves clothing. the plot has thickened once more.
