I agree to this. Trading and investing takes time. Cryptocurrencies like bitcoin are highly volatile and unstable so profit is not guaranteed. Aside from the money you invested, you also need time to invest to make good profit and that is not quick.

Thats true but I have seen lot of people making lot more in single trade and more than what one can earn in whole month. People are here with expertise on the swing trades and they are spending sufficient time in whole day and making big bucks. This comes down to the way you are doing the trading, what are you trading and what kind of coin you have chosen. Crypto currencies are both opportunistic and optimistic at the same time. As you said its all about studying the market while making any kind of trade, on top of that you do need base of your luck. Usually people find swing trades far difficult and that is why they end up doing the long trades with limits trades on all the time. So you part of your thinking is completely true while the ratio may not be strictly 1/10 but could be 50-50 as people do make huge with smart trades.

Most of the time, people get impatient because they believe they can make quick turn over from a cash that they intend to use immediately. Investing such money would naturally get someone worried when is going negative. So it is better to invest reserved money and we can allow it some time to grow.

I do not quite agree that the cryptocurrency is designed for long-term storage. No one could accurately analyze the behavior of the crypto currency, since it differs from the behavior of stock markets for example. And, quite often, it is more profitable to sell the received crypto currency at the start.  provided there is a quality project and a careful analysis of the coin, there is not even a 50% guarantee that in the future the project will survive and the more will bring guaranteed profit.

Yeah but most people need to understand that if you are just a lazy guy who does not even want to wait a few hours to trade, then cryptos is not for you. Most trades are not quick, you require a long time for making some profit from them.

I doubt patience is what you need. Maybe in bear phase, patience can save you from panic selling. But in bull phase, patience can get you rekt. There were people who FOMOed in December and bought BTC at the peak of $20k. If they kept the patience till now instead of cutting loss margin. Then there investment is almost 65% down. Also, people who kept patience at missed the $20k selling point also losf big time. Thus, patience isn't what always work.

I have nothing to comment on the probability part, but on another point I agree, if people want to make profits with bitcoin or altcoins then people should be aware that they should hold for a long time.

What happens is the following: the person buys bitcoin when the price is in the $10,000 and the price begins to fall, and fall and when the price drops to $8900 people already panic and sell for fear of losing everything. people think the price will fall to zero. but this is because people want to make quick profits and when prices fall they lose hope.

In my experience, I earned money in long-term investments and I lost a lot in short-term investments.

That's why it's very annoying everytime my classmates tease me about my bitcoin income, make some a little bit offensive jokes about it and treat me like a purse full of money even though it's not. Cryptocurrency is not the correct one.If you inverse your money in bitcoin or altcoin ,you have to hold atleast one month.Because the price need atleast one month,to recover the value.Before get into trading,you can analysis the market for a period of 6 months.This period is quite enough to analysis market.I had do this same thing before started to inverse my money.

Patience when it comes to trading is important, but not the most important. I have learned that having too much patience can become an obstacle in some cases rather than a helpful characteristic. I consider the most important aspect of trading to be the fact that you should adapt to each and every situation, especially in a market where the sentiment can change literally in an instant. If the sentiment changes, and you don't adapt to that situation, then having patience will only make you lose, which isn't something you as trader want to happen. It's all about utilizing every possible opportunity, which patience doesn't always help with -- trading this market requires a mixture of something of everything.

I have been trading for sometime but there are times when I still drastic decision because of being impatient and sometimes I have profit but most of the time I regret my decision. Those who panic buy or sell do not have patience that's why they incur losses and sometimes they have profits but it is because they are lucky and those who wait for sometime and buy or sell when they think its the right time most probably will have gains and will have consistent profits because they are not controlled by their emotions but instead they are level headed when they are trading so they know how to follow their trading plan and strategy.

You know sometimes the price drops down suddenly to half of what they were and if you sell at the high and when the price goes down , you buy with the money you had you are actually gonna make a good profit.

I've been holding a lot of coins and most of the times, selling after a quick rise in the market is better than holding for a long time. I take 1-3% profit per transaction and I can get it in a day so you can calculate your monthly accumulation yourself. but this requires perseverance, patience and good analysis
