I was wondering which one was your favorite out of the two cryptocurrencies? I think Ethereum has proved to be more flexible than Bitcoin even though Bitcoin is making the biggest noise

I prefer to the bitcoin because it is more profitable than Etherium. Although you will easily find people willing to definitively tell you that one cryptocurrency is better than the other, that would do a disservice to whichever the 'loser' is. Both bitcoin and Ethereum have their advantages and like most other cryptocurrencies, which one is right for you is very much dependent on your financial situation and what you want out of your investment. But I choose Bitcoin as my investment for my better future.

Bitcoin is my favorite.
Ethereum is pretty interesting and I like it a lot.
But bitcoin is the market leader. It has been tested for a longer time. It has a bigger volume and more daily transactions, more infrastructure and adoption.

Bitcoin is also more stable.

Ethereum is more centralized, as vitalik is the one in charge.
Bitcoin needs to be more conservative and cannot do something like Casper Proof of stake.

Both are good and I think it's wise to hold both as the main holdings of your crypto portfolio

Bitcoin proved more things so I prefer bitcoin all the time as an investment and store value. But when we're on the all time high's I prefer spending ETH as it's cheaper in network fee and although they have both congested network, ETH was faster that time.

Bitcoin of course since it makes a lot of money for me but recently as the price of ETH is falling I invest with it because I know it can bounce back and profit will come for me on time. This two is good coin what ever you choose profit will still come to you.

I presume most investors will hold both currencies in their portfolio, maybe with a slight bias towards Bitcoin in volume. Bitcoin is, at least currently, more generally accepted as an actual currency, with many companies (especially online services) offering Bitcoin as a payment option. Ethereum has established itself as the blockchain of choice for new projects, but with an increasing number of alternative options either already operating or upcoming, this pedestal could be in jeopardy down the line. My choice would be Bitcoin, at least for the next 2-3 years, but will still be holding a percentage of my portfolio in Ethereum too.

Both? Why do I choose if I love both of the coins. Bitcoin and ethereum have their own advantages, they have potential to grow up and continue in a long run. If I will invest in cryptocurrency, the two big portions of my portfolio comes from bitcoin and ethereum

I prefer bitcoin is better than eth beacuse the price was higher and deserves more profit since the eth price going down too and make my investment dropped I still believe in bitcoin

Though bitcoin is slower on transaction approvals than ethereum but still my vote is on bitcoin. Bitcoin is still the best of all cryptocurrency and still has great community participation as well on the market.

I have to go with bitcoin as my favorite because it's the first crypto i've bought. Ethereum is a good crypto too but I don't use it that much I only use it for trading,cashing out and for the gas compared to Bitcoin where it has a more uses because a lot of place/website accepts it other than exchanges and casinos.

Both of this coins are really good. Bitcoin as central and the determine of the others price. But ethereum have show it that it's an amazing coin. The increase of ethereum last year must be counted. If me, i like bitcoin more to invest and eth for trading.

I like both Bitcoin and Ethereum, Bitcoin is a top Altcoin at present, and it is Altcoin that is well known and accepted. Ethereum is Altcoin in second place after Bitcoin but it has developed by many ICO projects based on its foundation, and the development team of Ethereum is very experienced.

I would prefer for both because that's what i want to and of course i have both coins in my wallet altogether they are both profitable in terms of earnings.

Loving the two cryptocurrencies equally have their respective advantages, Bitcoin with incredible prices and Ethereum with a reliable ICO project project will sometimes greatly enlarge, both very likely in the future, shorten one and both, anyone can be successful with Both coins are profitable every week, it never hurts to continue to invest in both to supplement daily income.

I prioritize to gain more Bitcoin than Ethereum 50% of BTC, 30% of ETH and 20% to other altcoins.

It really depends on its value. Yes, bitcoinnis very popular and known to the cryptocurency world but its really unstable and very unpredictable, still it still in number one spot. As to ethereum, its making his own name and somehow its value is more stable than bitcoin. The two cryptos has its own chatacteristics thats make its individual uniqueness. If everyone choose have the chance to choose both, well it doesnt matter because it really help us and the community to make the value of this two cryptos go to the top. People have their own preferences and it is how they trade it effectively.

Wherever you choose you gain a profit from them, but for me as of now i will choose bitcoin as my investment because it make a lot of money when it's price increase again, so this is the time to grab that opportunity while the price not totally high coz i know when the time comes the price of cryprocurrency was very high, not now but i think soon.

I like bitcoin even though I use ethereum. Because bitcoin has a most valuable price. And I get too much profit from that. And I love Bitcoin because it has a fast transaction.

Honestly I want to say that I prefer both.Because,I feel better to buy Btc or Eth than others currencies.In the perspective of two currencies,I choose Bitcoin as my main priority to feel prefer for many reasons like fastest transaction system, secured,price and so on.So,I feel prefer in Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is one of my favorite in terms of leadership and the unstoppable popularity in crypto. The unstoppable value of bitcoin is increasing even it experience the falling of price it wouldn't the very reason to stop it. Every year things happened are not the same as what happened before. There should be  upgrading of system if needed. Reconstruction of necessary to promote bitcoin. I like it than ethereum. Nevertheless, ethereum have a good potential in the future.

as a currency, I will prefer Ethereum cheaper and faster. And bitcoin for trading because more coins can be traded(never a fan of exchanges without proper charting).

Why the choice of ethereum and bitcoin?

Both coin are very popular and promising in the future. I prefer to choose bitcoin to be a short-term investment or trading. The volatility of bitcoin price is so fast that it's more profitable to get short-term profit. But doing the transaction I'm not sure to choose bitcoin, because the process is long and the fee is high.

But for ethereum I strongly believe that in the next few years will be giant, so it would be suitable for me to make it a long term investment. Maybe about three to four years, and now a great time to start at the ethereum. I can't choose between bitcoin and ethereum because they are very promising to choose.

For me when our local exchanger starts accepting etherium, I must say that I like to use etherium rather than bitcoin, in terms of flexibility, speed of transactions and low rate fees sending to the other user I feel that etherium was an answer of my needs.I have a bad experience with bitcoin like slow confirmation and high fees that's why I choose etherium either.

I choose Ethereum because is very helpful to me ,but sometimes i need bitcoin,why? Because Bitcoin is most profitable in trading than ethereum. But in processing ill prefer to use ethereum because of low and fast transaction. But its up to you either bitcoin and ethereum .

I prefer to invest in Eth since Eth has a lesser price and it has many features. Bitcoin is also good but it has already in a highest price for me so I cannot afford to. Both are good investments but I prefer to invest in Ethereum.

I prefer to bitcoin. Bitcoin is the most powerful cryto coin even if the price is crash down sometimes but it can rise up again and again and much profitable than other coins thats my opinion.

Both bitcoin and ethereum are good but personally if I will asked to select only one of them in terms of long term investment I preferred ethereum. In my personal view the second placer will have more to show with regards to developments. The advantage of those who are next in line is they can avoid the mistakes of the first.

Stability of Etherum coin is much better and can be regarded as a safe thing to be an investment. But if used to be able to get a large profit margin then investing by buying Bitcoin will be much better and profitable. Bitcoin has a very high price fluctuations that can make us get a big profit, yes I would prefer the bitcoin as an investment because I prioritize the big advantage. I know each person must have their different goals and everyone also has their own strategy. In essence trading is the thing to get things much better, they try to make a profit by making some decisions that judged is the best thing.

As you said ethereum can be a good choice for the people who can't afford to buy the bitcoin because bitcoin price was already huge now so many people will invest on the next best crypto after to ethereum that is obiviously etherem.But for me the bitcoin is the best and most fovourable one because of its acceptability.

I preferred both, because Bitcoin has its importance as you know mostly trade done in Bitcoin & the price of Bitcoin has increased with a very high ratio as compare other coins.

Both could be awesome,  but nowadays I still collecting eth beside I do some project which pay by btc. I loved to collect btc, but It's rarely to get project which is pay by btc. Well,  as long as it worth I still like to do.

I was a big fan of bitcoin and even now. But when Ethereum was introduced in our local wallet app, I started to like and love ethereum. Ethereum is more affordable and easiear to trade because of low transaction fee. Ethereum also is most used coins in every project and ICOs. Actually, I love them both.

overall I like it because it is very profitable. bitcoin has great progress but of course, stability is still a difficult thing to do. ethereum is also the same but this coin is more stable and still have a long future.

Except for those who like the idea of inflation, I believe real believers of bitcoin would be more. Nothing bad with Ethereum and no one should get me wrong, but the fact that I have a coin that is already limited in number and remains that way makes bitcoin my favorite over an inflationary coin that the circulated supply can be increased at any point in time.

However, this does not mean Ethereum is still not gaining a lot of ground with a smart contract platform that has birthed so many tokens which has really added a lot of value to the cryptocurrency space, but to answer the OP's question, bitcoin remains my favorite.

the Ethereum get its power from the huge amount of ICO,s  which depend on the Ethereum as smart contract , but what will happen in the future ...... if the ICO's continue like this the Ethereum will be more preferred .........

Right now I have both bitcoin and ethereum in my portfolio but if I were to choose one then I would always go with bitcoin as bitcoin has made me the most money and I believe in the project and always will and I know that bitcoin will keep going higher no matter what anyone says. It might take a while but bitcoin will recover.

I prefer both, as long as you have money to buy then buy this two coin, bitcoin prove that it can reach a big amount and eth also prove it, all you need is to know the best time to sell the coin you have.

If the value of bitcoin decreased and Ethereum became higher would you like Ethereum more?

I love Ethereum a lot. I also love Bitcoin. But my first love is Ethereum. Because Ethereum is the second Bitcoin. And Bitcoin price is high. But Ethereum price is so low. And this is the great opportunity to buy Ethereum and hold it. I think only Ethereum can compete with Bitcoin. And I hope one-day Ethereum will cross Bitcoin popularity.

Ethereum Protocol is more complicated than bitcoin Protocol.Therefore, it is difficult for companies to implement Ethereum support. Bitcoin still holds the leading position. It has a more developed economic infrastructure. I have no confidence that Ethereum will be able to overtake bitcoin.Bitcoin network is more attractive to me because of the limited issue. The Ethereum solved the problem of the restrictions which have with bitcoin.

Bitcoin is leader on market cap and have bigger daily volume. Ethereum is second larget market cap in market and have a chance to replace bitcoin as leader on market cap. Both coin is my favorite because its more safe to invest on that coin

I also prefer to bitcoin since it has more usage for me than to ETH. Yes eth was also a goodninvestment but in the end you still need bitcoin if you want to used it. I think these two when it dump was really good to but because it gives high profit every time it happened especially when it was slowy recovering or increasing.

Both are good for both long term and short term investments. Bitcoin will give more benefits than Ethereum. After a long time there is a slight growth in bitcoin price. Ethereum is best for long term and we can earn profit after a long time only. But this is not in bitcoin. I don't see any point in choosing one of these coins. I always have a reserve of both coins. Bitcoin 70% + Ethereum 30%. When I need to sell some of the coins I choose the coin that is profitable to sell at the moment. Only this year it all went wrong as usual. Both of these coins showed a synchronous fall.

I agree with you that ethereum seems to present better features than bitcoin, because we must keep in mind that after bitcoin, all the other altcoins were based on its original idea to implement some improvements, developing the concept of cryptocurrencies to the level that now we observe.

It depends on what you measure.

I think that technically, ethereum is a step ahead. It is indeed more flexible and more convenient to use.

Though, on the other side there is the bitcoin. And I am sorry to say so but I can't be objective towards bitcoin. It was the historical crypto, it was the first ever created, it has allowed usto discover a whole new world, full of technical challenges and economic proposals... So yeah, it may not be the most convenient crypto, but still, I stick to bitcoin! ;)

I prefer to choose bitcoin than etheruim. bitcoin has more profitable than etherium itself. And also bitcoin is the king of all cryptos even though its value is low still, it is the best for me more than anything in all the crypto coins.

I am really fascinated with crypto currencies, Bitcoin and Ethereum are have a different path to track, a different purpose and different objective. I couldn't choose between the two, it has the same weight.

Both has been profitable and cannot choose between that two because both has good opportunity in the market. Ethereum is next onto bitcoin where you can diversify your investment on this two. Both of coins can give you huge profit when the price become promising. Bitcoin will always be the first choice of other people aside from it is more popular, when first heard crypto, first come into the mind is bitcoin, where everyone invest on it without knowing that there are lot of crypto that they can invest on.

I actually prefer bitcoin. Bitcoin is what made the idea of cryptocurrencies a reality. Bitcoin is the reason we even have a cryptocurrency market to invest in. Don't get me wrong, ethereum is a good project and with good tech and algorithm and i have invested n it and a good percentage of my portfolio is made up of ethereum but if it comes down to picking one I will always pick bitcoin.

I think that they are both great coins. And they will be the most popular coins in the future when cryptocurrency are widely accepted.  But personally,  I prefer Bitcoin to Ethereum because its the coin that paved way for other cryptos and we all know bitcoin is a great coin and one of our favorite. I like them both but if I only get to choose one out of these two, I’d choose the original digital coin. Also, according to my observations I have seen that Bitcoin's price affect ETH as well. For eg if there is a downfall in bitcoin's price, the latter's price also go down automatically. Hence, bitcoin has a hold over the coins and hence remain a favorite pick.

bitcoin is the mother of all coins its the first known crypto currency that's why people are very fond of it and they trust it because its been there for a longer time than any altcoin. Will prefer 70:30 ratio for Bitcoin and Ethereum, because both coins have shown good performance across the months till now. Also, recently Ethereum showed more drop than Bitcoin but now it seems to recover faster than ever. Ethereum has shown more productivity and use, making it more useful than Bitcoin. Above all these points, one can easily conclude that both coins are good to invest as Bitcoin being always stable and leader of market but Ethereum also giving more opportunity to grow.

I strongly prefer both Bitcoin and ethereum as both of has potential growth in value in the future. As you rightly mentioned above that ethereum is more stable as compared to Bitcoin, i believe that your view is not far from the truth, though Bitcoin has a larg influence over ethereum as i usually refer to Bitcoin as an independent variable over ethereum meaning ethereum value increase is dependent on Bitcoin value change.

i prefer bitcoin than Ethereum, Bitcoin is more popular, profitable and most trusted among all cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin and Ethereum is both good, they both have advantage and disadvantage but when it comes to picking i'll always pick Bitcoin.

For beginners it's better to play ethereum for short and daily trades, bitcoin is getting expensive and only people with money and even entrepreneurs can have it.

Both are good as an long term investments but altcoin market is too volatile and if you are a day trader or believe in short term profits then you can invest in ethereum and take advantage from each pump and dump which will give you timely profits and will also grow your bitcoins in short term.

No doubt that in current time both can be consider as profitable, but i think that bitcoin price has take a good stem and once its price start increasing then its price is expected to increase too much in a short time. Therefore to me i think that investment in bitcoin will be more profitable as compare to Etherium or any other altcoin. I think now we do not have to wait much more for the bitcoin price to increase.

I really prefer to have both not just because because of investments but also for other functions.  It is given that both coins are good as investments but for me these two acts as primary medium for trading.  Ethereum acts as gas for ethereum based transactions and for using MEW so it will be a pain in the wallet if a trader would continue buying it from gas site like Shapeshift which has a big fee.  Bitcoin has a bigger role than Eth but when it comes  to trading,  they both act as main tool for buying other coins.

Im still into bitcoin, its more popular and more accepted than etherium. Though etherium has actually has a promising future, I still have the confidence that bitcoin price will grow bigger. Knowing that Bitcoin is rising again now as the moment, this would only mean that its now recovering and possibly regain it highest peak price.

One important feature that I have always loved about bitcoin is the fact that it is limited in supply. Maybe a lot of people may not know, but they really need to find out more about what totally makes bitcoin and Ethereum different entirely and not just concentrate on making profits quickly alone.

Honestly, I prefer bitcoin before but now I think ethereum is better than it. Actually having either both is very fine since both is just a cryptocurrency and you will gain profit at both. ETH is catching up with bitcoin though. And bitcoin right now is having a bad time with its value but Bitcoin will definitely catch up with its value however. Gonna take years though. Bitcoin is considered to be a better currency on the market but Eth is a well-developed and well-established currency, possibly in the future Eth will replace Bitcoin in the market, I think. There are more people involved in investing, but the amount of money they spend will be less for fear of risk.

I prefer fot both currency because I know both are leading in terms of prices and exchange. I think both is the most popular coin in all over the world. Supposedly, most people are really want to involve in both currency because of fluctuation on its prices that has a big impact of return on profit.

When I started the thread I would have never thought that people would be choosing BITCOIN or ETHEREUM. Honestly I love them both for different reasons.

We knows that both of them are good for investment because this two coins can gain a huge profit so if you want you can invest this coins. For me i really prefer to invest bitcoin because the price of it is so high and expecting it will go up high sooner or later.

For the short-term like (3-4 months), Ethereum will be the best choice. I will personally go to Ethereum for investing because Ethereum is favourite but it is still undervalued cryptocurrency comparing to Bitcoin, and it will grow unexpectedly in future.

They're both essential you know. And both advantageous in their own ways. Bitcoin, as we all know is the predecessor of other cryptocurrencies and when talking about store of value, it is more promising because upon investment, it will surely give you a good amount of return. One thing is for sure,bith etherium and Bitcoin and good crypto-investments. Well I suppose you are right but, the difference really isn't that big. And if you think about it, bitcoins are still pretty dominant and can truly offer more profits since it is more popular than ethereum or any other altcoin out there in this industry. But for me, I really do not see any reason as to why I should choose from the two when I can clearly take advantage of the fact that they both still have a lot of room to grow and can really enable me to gain massive profits by taking advantage of the benefits that I can get from both of them.

Bitcoin is all about transferring funds from one point to another without any approval of the third party whereas Ethereum has a solution for the trust issue especially when it comes to the financial sector. I moved over a decent amount of my assets from BTC to ETH, as I see more applications in the short term. Still I think BTC will serrve well as a 5 year asset investment.

Bitcoin will always be my favorite. For some reason I like the way bitcoin market is going because I will have time to buy some bitcoin if the price is low then hodl it until the time that I was satisfied with the price. For me the best coin to choose would be where the money is. We know that for now bitcoin still has the top place for investments so that it is where the green pasture is for investors. I prefer Etherium for now because it's the first currency that i used instead of bitcoin. But  I think they are almost the same.maybe Bitcoin has a lot of features than Etherium but both of then can be use by anyone simultaneously.

I still like and prefer bitcoin more than etherium. Basically speaking, I still find bitcoin more reliable than any other cryptocurrencies that were starting in making their names.

Yes Ethereum has proven to be cool too with their constant improvements and especially providing a robust blockchain for smart contracts enabling lots of ICO, though the inherent flaws are there. In all bitcoin wins in my opinion.

Both altcoin and bitcoin is amazing and we but I prefer on bitcoin because bitcoin is my passion, from the start i am really preferring on bitcoin than etherium becaus bitcoin is really more amazing an I already gain a huge amount of profit on it, I believe that bitcoin is really becoming more bright in the future.

There a time that you need this both , because if you see the uses of this two . Its very helpful to us , bitcoin is fast in transaction but sometimes delay if have a traffic in blockchain sometimes high fee to transfer , ethereum has very fast in transaction and you can control the gas price that you use but some times delay if you not trigger the standard price. Both are good. Choosing altcoin I would always choose eth to buy during the dip if my concern is making a high profit. Definitely,  I choose bitcoin.   Bitcoin is trusted over the years.  That's why most of the people do invest on bitcoin.  Many people become successful on bitcoin,  so since that's it's trusted.  I myself also invest on it so I would have something in the future. 

I chose bitcoin because bitcoin is the leading currency in the cryptocurrency market, and it will affect the price of other coin when the bitcoin price goes up or down even ethereum. So I completely traded the other coin based on the movement of the bitcoin price. Although ethereum is the second coin after bitcoin,it is expected to replace bitcoin with the flexibility of ethereum but I think it will not replace bitcoin because the ethereum was born when the bitcoin was born before it.

Profitability of a coin is based totally on you or how you are able to play with the market. However, for a period of few months, Ethereum has not done bad as well with respect to profitability, considering the amount it was early last year and its ATH before the present dip. Nevertheless, these are two different projects on two different lanes, and I really wonder why we are trying to compare when of course, Ethereum does not stand a chance of overtaking bitcoin any day.
