This definitely caught my attention.  However, Bitmain has the S2 currently listed at $2424 yet you are offering it at $1650.  If this is not a "typo", did I miss something then?  ???

Let me do a little napkin math for you.

Group Buy shipping in 10 days = 1650 Shipped

1Thash in 10 days will bring in a max of $240.71 at today's prices.

$1989-$241= $1798

You will save yourself $148 minimum by using the group buy instead since the difficulty will go up about half way through the 10 day period by the time you receive your order placed today. I would expect savings to be closer to the $220 range.

My prediction:

Bitmaintech is dropping its price on the S2 about $100 every 4 days.  So in 11 days the price of 1 S2 is going to be $2000.  I have one S2 coupon of $400, this will give me $1600 per machine.

Its good if they declare a lower custom value otherwise itt goes backto the precoupon price whatever that is .I email bitmain they said we have to declare full value so its a bummer, for us in eu anyway. The s1 was good they would declare a very low value making it profitable. It's always the same we end up licking up the crumbs after the people making and large quantity buy er rs have finished with the gear. :(

Why would you want to buy that hosting plan? Even with the coupon its $1200 more than the GB. You must have some expensive electricity to make that worth while.

The key word being list price.

Seems so far, that Btc price becomes tanky for a while. But no one knows for sure for how long.
It is completely unpredictable, hence you cannot use it favor of none of any scenarios.

On the other hand , Bitmain makes discounts on a daily basis. Which can be accurately be predicted for at least a few days ahead.

I am not making assumptions "if" and "when".

That is what I mean.

I would buy from this group buy IF he allows me to come over for tea and pick up my miners.  However, he does not have the miners at his house so I will pass.

Sorry that is not an option this miners will be shipped like the miners we ship every day from factory in China.

Can someone present some calculations about the ROI? Mine, starting from 1 June with BTC price at 450$, miner price at 2000$ and 10% increase in difficulty shows ROI in ~144 days. That's a lot. Am I missing something? Although the small number of miners ordered seem to indicate I'm not missing anything.

The problem with your calculation was that you did not change your current difficulty to 11,153,416,309  (this is my predicted difficulty on June 1st).   This would give you 200 days to ROI.

Any ROI more than 120 days are very hard to predict and very very very hard to ROI.

Though Bitmain has been delivering especially compared to BFL and KNC, 100 units is still 100x1650 = 165000 which is a lot, so lets look at the payment terms.

Current BTC price for sure affects sales of new hardware.

In the future I guess we will keep stock in USA but for that we require a stable price, that require difficulty rate to be much lower than today.

Is a long story but now we are doing RMA in USA and I hope soon we can do shipping from USA.

yes, electricity prices are 0,3$ per kwh.

anyway, you dont only pay for electricity but for hosting space too. (aswell as cooling come summer....)

Keep in mind that when you host your unit at home, you also pay the cost for space, you just forget it.

Home mining solutions just scale less easily.

Juan, can you provide additional details on Bitmains latest document showing how to solder CAP's to the board? Why is this required, what is the actual problem this is addressing?

Juan, do you handle RMAs for units that are purchased from you?

S2s have a history of being damaged during shipment, so if I received a defective unit, I would much rather have the RMA handled within the US and not have to ship it back to China.

How do you handle RMAs? Can the buyer ship the unit back to you and receive a new unit, or does it need to go back to Bitmain? Do you ship replacement units from the US, or do they come from China?

Do you have S2s in stock to deal with RMAs? How long does the RMA process typically take?

Is that a modification of undervolting?

Thread sold count and website inventory count don't match up. Which is accurate? Look forward to claiming a couple.

What does a share consist of? Do i get my own S2 or are we sharing one S2?

The newer S2 units have extra capacitors on the blades to help stabilize voltage.  See Bitmain's instruction here. https://www.bitmaintech.com/files/download/Guideline%20of%20Soldering%20Capacitor%20to%20S2.pdf

So do the units in the group buy have the following:
1) Extra capacitors solder on the PCBs?
2) Improved retention clips for the blades so the blades stay secure within the case during shipping?
3) Fixed SD card corruption problems that leads down time?

Note after ordering with Bitmain to get delivery in Norway... we have some major delays with UPS as they have to send packages through the local post if it is outside of Oslo. DHL have trucks that deliver same day from Oslo to our datacenter 4 hours outside Oslo.

Wondering if we can order and ship via DHL to our datacenter in Southern Norway, if possible because we would be interested in an S2 if that is possible?

Guys, how genuine is 112bit.com, have been trying to reach these guys for a week, no reply.
I had a friend buy from them before and he had a lot of issues returning as his return package wasn't even accepted after days.

Price is one thing... but heartache if they break off a cap or something in shipping... dude give them another shout and tell them pack things better.  We were lucky with our modules... nothing busted off.

I do this here as I know you will get this info straight back to Bitmain and ask them to shore things up. We don't want any sad customers. Note this S2 was purchased directly off of the Bitmain page.

I am definitely keen on another miner from you directly at this price point but can I risk this sort of delivery again? Not sure.

I saw your hosting plan, I am interested in a few units to host, but do you have a small plan like 3 months, 6 months etc. 1 year is a really long term, after 1 year it will not even be mining the same amount of btc the S1 mines now, and the hardware worth next to nothing, not even worth the price of shipping.

Juan has no way of knowing which is currently used for which customer.

I'm interested as well, maybe a 6 months contract could be a good solution, six months from now these units should still be profitable at 90USD/month of hosting.

I am going to wait because i think that the miners price is going to drop at least 50% in a month i see all manufacturers are competing... 

While i agree on the statement of some price drop, i don´t think it will go down (another) 50% the next month.

However, by July we will definately see prices of 0,9$/GH or below, as new 0,5W/GH equipment will become available.

That whole assumption might be wrong if bitcoin price is at 1000$ by then, though XD

Pretty decent assumption.

SP30s in the GB went for as low as what $0.69/Gh/s for August delivery.

I just bought 1 more S2 here. Pretty happy with the first one even though seeing cards flopping about inside the case is unnerving to say the least.

At these low hardware prices, what it really comes down to is power efficiency and (resulting) hosting costs.

In July/August you will spend the same amount of $ on the actual hardware as you do on power / year.

Therefore, i would advise everyone to carefully calculate their personal hosting costs, including power consumption, cooling and space.
Even when hosting at home, you pay for the space as the room hosting all your equipment will not be of use for much more than maybe storing heat-resistant items.

I agree , I will choose trading instead of mining at this point which is more practical.... :) :) :)

I would like to ask some questions-
1) how is the 3, 6 moth hosting negotiations going ? Would be interested in 6 month hosting term as some other miners in the thread.
2) are you considering setting up remote access to hosted mining rigs ? (ssh ? https ?)
2) are you in this business for a long run ? I mean, do you see yourself continuing to offer good deals on miners on the market year from know along with hosting and support ? Or are you going to sell as many as you can now and take the profit and move on ? (no offense meant here, just sincere question)

I am asking because I have done some calculations about mining and it seems that the only way of reasonable ROI at prices of BTC vs difficulty rise, w/gh, $/gh etc. is to reinvest at least once per 2 month and add at least +25-50% gh/s each round (preferably double the hashing power) at best prices at that moment.

So what I am asking is if I buy from you now and host with you, will you plan to offer similar deals along with hosting 2, 4, 6 etc months from now ? (provided of course the market wont crash and little green men wont descend on white house...)

I cant do BTC as btc price is australia is viable. UPS I think has a central hub in KY for International shipments.. doesn't make sense to fly it from AK to KY then back to west coast to OR.

My rigs arrived today in somewhat good condition.

2 out of 5 of the rigs had cards completely unseated and rattling around (every single card came loose on one of the rigs). The extra metal bars that were supposed to secure the cards in place were NOT screwed in at all or very poorly and they came loose. Additionally other cables were not plugged in and I had to remove fans to plug those back in. Massive dents in the side of one case. Also one broken LED display.

Despite all of the issues, I was able to re-seat the cards and am running all 5 TH/s.

Forgot to mention all the power cables were European style. I had to buy 5 new ones.

Hi All I have received my unit but the LCD is not working , there are a few cables disconnected I'm not sure if they need to be connected. does anyone have a troubleshooting guide?

The same thing happened to one of my units. The cable needs to be plugged into the left side of the lcd panel (near the fan). It's a tight fit, so I had to remove the fan to plug in the cable.

That red cable needs to be plugged in. I opened my unit and two of the red power cables running from the GPU/CPU block (red block area) were connected.

Did want to give a public thanks to Juan for putting this GB together and for his quick response to my the problem I was having with my unit.

It looked as if UPS had played football with the box and all the cards were loose in the unit. After some bending of rails and plugging everything back up the unit fired up and has been hashing at 1+ TH. Thanks again and count me in on the next.

mine arrived to Canada today - duty and taxes came to $250 (cdn) - I havent been home yet to open box - wife says it looks ok and passes jiggle test - thanks Juan !

If he received your payment last Friday then he actually couldn't have them shipped till Monday. Lets recap where the units are coming from. They are being delivered from China direct from Bitmain. I don't think its really fair to hold him accountable for them waiting one extra day to ship your units. Monday was Memorial Day.

This guy sold these units at well below market value. Honestly to get them delivered safely at the price he sold them to us at is really doing us all a favor. See if anyone else is even close to the price we paid at the GB.

Let me clarify this issue.

Every single order payed on time were shipped on time and arrived on time.

We receive payment late for 8 orders, we submit those units on May 27 in the morning when the bank confirmed all the wires, shipping team prepare the orders same day and were shipped to the customers.

Personally I don't see any delay at our side, I understand the frustration and also I know some customers payed on time but their banks delayed the wires we can't include the units until payment were confirmed at our side.

I picked up my UPS package today excited like a baby (as this was my 1st Rig), well it turned 180 degree so fast in a hurry. :( :(

1. All 10 cards were off and rattling around inside.
2. Capacitors fallen off the cards and missing
3. cables not connected
4. Solid capacitors missing of the main board
5. Bent FAN pins
6. Bent slots on the main board
7. Riser which holds the cards in place completely bent out of shape.

I have no clue how someone puts a QC passed sticker in the front of the box when clearly there was no QC done in my opinion.

After reseating all cards, cleaning up the mess I was able to turn on the unit.(after 3-4 attempts), the unit has 4 red lights on the main board, hashing at 400hGH/s - 575Gh/s, when I remember that this unit hashes at 1.4 Th/s .

I am really disappointed and look forward to how we are going to resolve this issue.

I don't think your anger at the QC department is justified.  There's no way it left the manufacturer in that condition.  That is damage caused by the carrier.

I'm actually impressed that it works at all after seeing those pictures.

Credit where credit is due, I ordered 1 Antminer on the GB with 1 years hosting and Juan said it would be up and running on the 29th and lo and behold there it is! Thank you - would buy again!

Let us please put this in perspective.

This is happening way too frequently. Meaning they HAVE TO FIX the packaging. It is the people boxing it up for shipment that need to get some cardboard to help hold the cards in place. This is a well known and repeated problem. You buy at your own risk from these guys because of this issue.

I'm located in the US. Florida actually. I've never seen this message on an item I tracked before.

WOW! The payment was made on the 28th, and scheduled delivery is today!! Juan great job! I look forward to hashing this evening.

I honestly think the shipping issues are directly linked to UPS. The cards can only be packed as to allow minimal movement from sudden blunt impact. If they use any packing materials to make them rigid in their motherboard they would most likely be to rigid, and destroyed after the first drop they incurred. I order from China on a very regular basis, and all things being considered they pack most items better than companies in the US.

 Please take into consideration these units are being dropped, kicked, pushed, thrown ect.. far to frequently. UPS is infamous for its disregard for parcels, speaking myself as a buisness owner. I can tell you they have a horrible track record with package handeling. Google their insurance amount claims, and it speaks volumes about their overall performance. They worry far to much about the package getting to its location in a certain time frame. If the customer receives the package, and it's undamaged consider it a sign of luck. I deal in CNC equipment, and ship stepper motors that are solid steel encased, and as I type this I just did a return cause they managed to break a motor mount (out of 1/4 steel!!)  

I honestly feel Juan will back you up to get your miner running. He has far more to lose if he doesn't considering the amount of people who purchased from the GB. Personally I feel it's the true measure of a companies integrity the way they handle an issue when it arises. If he takes care of the issue immediately as he most likely will, then that reflects he's the man to save to your favorites for a purchase later.

This for the most part has been a real smooth process. If they could iron out the shipping courier parcel damages issue it would be perfect. Once my order is received I will leave Juan his well deserved trust feedback.

S2 is not spoonfed.  I have to open the unit and inspect for loose parts.  It was exciting to put back parts to its working condition.  If you want to spoon feed then consider Spoondofeed machines

Juan answered my pm right back and asked me to keep him posted as I reassembled it. I was fortunate as everything went back and it is up and hashing as advertised.

Definitely seems as if UPS is the problem here.

Does seem it would solve the problem if Bitmain would just bubble wrap the cards and put them inside the case and let the user put them in when the unit arrived. Seems as this would be beneficial to both them and the buyer.

There is no need for name calling and acting like school children.

The reality with the S2 is you have to open them before you plug in and power up.  I don't want to take any chances that the miner will short cirtcuit on me.  

Out of the 20 S2 that I ordered recently, I found only 2 that needed repair.  Thus, it was exciting because you don't know what is under the hood.

I just love receiving damaged broken goods that I paid top dollar for  ::)

Most of it isn´t actually broken, as in the cases where something came loose you can just fix it by reseating the boards.

If you have broken capacitors or other components coming off a board, just send this certain board for RMA. I heard it takes less than 4 days to get a new "blade".

I agree this shouldn´t happen, but most units arrive okay and it isn´t bitmains´fault when the UPS guys decide to play football with your package.

I received 7 of my 11 units, and all power up perfectly. I will begin hashing when all the units arrive. I have to say the way each unit was packaged was quite literally PERFECT, and actually far better then most units are shipped in the states. They used HEAVY foam ends wrapped around the chassis, and double walled boxes. Then they wrapped double walled bubble wrap around the units after they had the foam ends installed which make the units float in the box to absorb impact.

I will post pictures, and have to say according to UPS shipping guidelines Bitmain followed their packaging specs perfectly.

Juan once again great job sir. I will be purchasing from you on a regular basis. Bitmain has defined themselves as a company that's taking mining to a new level.

I had to pay $250 as customs, not only that, it was supposed to be shipped on 25th, now after the customs clearance and everything i will only get the item by end of this week, None of my requests been considered, such as shipping address is different than billing address, item value, item description, no contacts for few days.. Too bad service, a big negative from me.

Let's think for a minute the units shipped from China which means Juan never touched the systems. The Chinese have to comply with the postal laws just as we do in the United States. You do understand that what you requested is illegal, and most likely the reason the Chinese didn't comply.

The systems you purchased at a price that's unheard of online. If you had to pay more for custom fees that's the price of living where you do. Juan took the order, and had it drop shipped as he said he would. Explaining you would leave him negative feedback cause your unhappy with the import fees you had pay from the Chinese doesn't make sense ::).

If you live outside the US, and have these units shipped to you be prepared for the taxes associated with them. Either way the price in the GB is a still the best deal for these you will find.

I live in the US, and had to pay UPS $45 to deliver 7 of them, and 4 more will be delivered today. I'd gladly pay it again especially when their not damaged  ;D

The miners are coming from China! Not from Juan's US location. It wasn't "this guy" (aka Juan) that prepared the shipment. Also, let me get this straight, you want them to lie about the nature and value of the shipment? Would you have preferred if they declared the shipment a $50 magical unicorn maker ? :)

Dear, he is promised to put a lower amount on the invoice, and ship to a different address than the billing address, hence I am complaining, this is not the first time I am buying something from china, and they are always happy to put the lower amount. This is bitmains fault actually, but it is juans responsibility to make sure that they follow the instructions because he took my payment not bitmain. Also my shipment was late. Anyway I am not leaving him a negative feed back, his support till i make the payment was great, after that I didnt heard from him at all after multiple emails. This sort of things happens when moving large quantities, I understand that too.

I think Juan did not forward the note/instruction to bitmain,
because everytime i put note/instruction when order directly from bitmasin site,
they do what I ask (only for S1 buying, this GB is my first time buy S2)

I need to explain on May 28th Bitmain shipping team made a mistake

For 20 of our orders we ship 4 S1s each.

3 of those orders were S2s and we are working to solve the problem with them
4 of them has 7, 11, 11 and 12 S1s ordered they received 4 and we ship the remaining units a couple of days ago.
13 of them were orders of 1 S1 and they receive 3 and we are working with those customers to keep or to send us back the units we sent them by error.

We fully understand the feeling of customers that received S1 instead of S2 or less units than ordered and we will fully compensate in BTC for the mining time lost, and we hope the other 13 return us the units we sent by error. Finally we sent 48 S1s by error.

About the dates your payment arrived later than May 23:00 EST the time where we announced we will close the shipping list to be shipped on May 25.

We did our best efforts  but we can't risk to ship late the orders that were fully payed at that time.

Then we had to wait 48 hours after May 25 to receive the last missing payments and we submit the final orders on May 27 shipped on May 28.

I think you get a very good deal and unique, not even the prices went up they were out of stock.

About the declared value, please send me a scan of the declared value and I will try to find out what happened I checked the shipping list and I included your request and if we made a mistake I apologize and will find  our what happened.

About the customs taxes there is not much I can do, every country has their taxes.

Bad news.
Over one week ago Juan called me and stated the refund was issued that very same day.
8 days passed, no money, phone calls bounced to voicemail.
Our company's legal firm luckly operates in both UK (where the company reside) and US, on monday if the money are not there we're setting up a meeting with them.

I just got a refund today for 3BTC after chasing for 10 days, I know he's been pretty flat out. Just keep emailing.

Wow. I think he's a little behind the 8 ball right now. I'm sure he's smart enough to make things right. I myself have run into a little issue with the power supply on one of my units. It seems she shuts down with all 10 blades in place after running for about a minute. I remove one card, and she's been running fine for 2 days.

I verified the blade wasn't the issue by trying it in different locations on the motherboard. Juan if your reading this please get back to me.

Juan sold 150 units or more to this forum. That breaks down to $247500 in sales. I believe he truly has more to lose by ignoring anyone who's been waiting on a refund or encountered issues with their purchase. Let's look at this the way it is. He dropshipped over a hundred units to complete everyones order. I'm sure he's been messaged nonstop about issues with shipping damages, hardware failures, and other unseen issues.

It's understandable that the people waiting for their money to be refunded are impatient. I myself would be upset as well for having to wait as long as some have, but I'm sure he will make good on the refunds. He came on a public forum, listed his picture, his website has all his bank information listed, and he's answered everyone to date. Maybe not when everyone wished he would, but you have to admit putting together a GB of this magnitude is impressive especially at the prices he sold them for.

The law doesn't need to be involved. I'm betting he'll get back to you when he's able to.

Probably under $10K in profit though.

Actually I think he did well. That's quite a large lump some purchase, so I'm sure it was in everyones best interest. I have to say minus his lack of communication the GB went pretty smooth.

Hopefully we hear from him today. I saw someone mentioned that he usually replies on Thursday, and if he would let everyone know that's the day that works for him to answer everyones questions I bet most everyone would understand. It's the dead silence that creates doubt, and fear.

Maybe Juan is in the hospital?  We should give him sometime to recover.  He is a very good guy.  Maybe he is in a mental institution because you guys are putting too much pressure on him.  I think we should let him recover and don't put too much pressure.

Look on the bright side.  If he had refunded your money last week in btc, you would have lost some money because btc is lower today compares to last week.

Juan is a good guy so let him get out of a mental institution before you bug him.

ok looks like it was my refund for a late order... Juan called me and completed the refund.. although its 15 days after I made the original payment but at least I got it back :)   so i would say Juan does fulfill his commitments although he is sometimes a bit late ....

As most of us already know when Bitmain says Day X will be Day X.

Before start taking orders of S3 we need to be sure we were able to deliver in time, and we don't have to deliver few hundred units we have to deliver thousands so all needs to work there is no space for improvisation.

The second question most common is price.... probably I am answering 20-25 messages per day about price of S3, unless we have the shipping date is not possible to determine a price.

Juan, can you find out the power requirements so we can start loading up on new power supplies if needed?

The S3 info on your site says "Power Supply: 4 +12V DC input, PCI-e connectors".  Many are speculating the need for 4 PCI-E connectors.

The S1 says "Power supply: 3 +12V DC input" yet it only required 2 PCI-E connectors.  I'm hoping I can just use the S1 power supplies I already have which are 500W with 2 PCI-E.

Pity the B2 has such high power consumption, the A2 is better for that.

How much an A2 miner of 34 Mh/s will cost and when they can do shipping?

Your price is good Juan of course, I have no problem with your price.

A2 is a bit more expensive than B2 maybe $5-600 more for 34MH/s but is only 300Watt instead of 1000+Watt

Thats a big difference when scrypt mining.

What miner is shipping right now has 30+ MH/s at under 500 watts?  Or even even under 900 watts?   Both Hashra and Zeus are around 900 or higher for 28MH/s.

The A2-30M is 300W and the SF-28 is 440W

A2 is using the Innosilicon chip and SF is by Silverfish.

Both sold openly on these forums, as this is Juans thread I won't spam it with other suppliers info.
