In the traditional investment systems  there are areas like stock exchange, real estates, commodity market, forex market. Then there are hedge funds, mutual funds, equity, debentures. Next in line are precious metals like Gold, silver, diamond. Years after year and decades after decades when mainstream economics was convincing people that how one of above is better than other as it is giving returns in the range of 8% to 9% at max 10-13% a new revolution named bitcoin is rising and spreading across the world. Bitcoin has defied all conventional knowledge about return on interest. Surviving each negative publicity and doubts, incidents like mt. gox and still growing better than ever.

What do you think why bitcoin is the best investment than stocks, real-estate, gold or any other conventional investment?

Bitcoin is not better. Bitcoin now used for the same purpose. But the return on investment in bitcoin is far higher. I think that it will not always. Perhaps in the future these assets will be equal in yield and then will be quite another matter. Now is the primitive accumulation of capital and it can take yield is not subject to any logic.

Bitcoin is a very profitable asset,but we can`t compare it with stocks and real estate.
Sooner or later the tremendous btc growth will slow down or even stop and we have to be ready.
This might happen after a few years or maybe next year.
Some assets provide less risk and less profit and other more profit and more risk.Bitcoin doesn`t fit anywhere and i can`t consider btc  a risky asset.This will change in the future.
  

In its purest form bitcoin is a currency. However in todays world bitcoin is developed into the commodity or investment tool. So When it comes to investment in best asset for best results we could compare the bitcoin with other assets like real-estate, stock market, metals. As far as growth rate is considered we don't know how it move, neither at what rate it will move. Bitcoin and overall cryptocurrencies are unpredictable. Though we need to understand that everything listed on https://coinmarketcap.com (https://coinmarketcap.com) is not currency. There are some tokens as well.
There will be slowndown in growth and acceptance of bitcoin as well. However we do not know when. Till then get rich till you can.

Emm... Is it? Saying something like that means that you are trying to point it out as an exaptional mechanism for investments. It is like saying that trading USD/EUR on forex is the best thing ever and it is better that reading stocks. Yes, it is another instrument for investments (all advantages and disadvantages of BTC were discussed a billion times in this forum section) but every investor should chose what is the most suitable option for him. There is no a "perfect investment".

It has positives and negatives just like everything else.

Can you live on a bitcoin? Nope, but you can live on your real estate. Does bitcoin deliver dividends like a stock from a company? nope, bitcoin will not give you any dividends.

But if you consider the negatives of real estate and stocks and consider the positives of bitcoin:

-You can't pick your real estate and flee to any country you want with it. It is always tied to a particular spot. It could be vandalized, subjected to stupid laws etc.  You can pick your bitcoin and go to any country you like with them and nobody can even know.
-You can't trade your stocks 24/7 in a global market and you will not receive a split automatically in case of a company splitting (in bitcoin you get coins on both chains automatically if there is a hardfork).

Bitcoin the most profit investment in 2017 but it can't compare to real eastate or stock.
As when you are rich with bitcoin people will switch to keep their money in real estate or stocks.

Frankly speaking i cant really see bitcoin would able to replace or would be better stocks,real-estate,gold,forex and other investment. It would really have the advantage speaking on profit making but when it terms of stability and for long term and have a strong back up then i cant see bitcoin would able to surpass those things being mentioned above.

I wouldn't say that Bitcoin is better than the old system investment even though so far it has made me a lot of money. Bitcoin is still in an early stage and all the crazy rise are because public starting to adopt Bitcoin. The positive development of Bitcoin, technically and in terms of adoption are the main driving force of the positive price movement. Until Bitcoin reach a stable condition and prove itself against time we can't call it a better investment than conventional investment.

It is wiser to diversify your wealth to conventional investment than going all-in in Bitcoin. Bitcoin is still in experimental phase, no one  can predict what will happen in say 5-10 years. The future of Bitcoin may look bright right now, I agree, but it could easily turn backward. Stocks and real estate is safer and more sustainable.

If you're in the market to make money and you can stomach losing it, Bitcoin is better because at this moment in time the vast majority of the world still doesn't understand it and even fewer actually own any.

As education and adoption grows the price will only go one way. Even if 90% of the world decides it's a piece of shit, that 10% is still many, many, many more times the number of people who are currently involved.

No one bothers with forex, gold or stocks for fun. They're looking to grow money. Bitcoin has far more potential to do that simply because of the position it's currently in. Because of the same position it can of course set all your money on fire too.

i'd like to say bitcoin not more better but bitcoin are equally to those asset which mean the value will be same especially for real estates that if you have this kind of investment then every years the value will always be increase and that's similar such as bitcoin because saving bitcoin too possible to increase your investment value for every years

          Yes i certainly believe it does. For some popular business personalities, they suggested to put some amounts over real estate investments which is also good for long term purposes. It doesn't mean you have to quit already in bitcoin, but as the saying goes, don't settle for single source of income, and i guess it seems to be true.

People believe that it is better than those other investments because Bitcoins volatility allows it to skyrocket in short amounts of time. However, during these past few months, people really haven't been introduced to the bad side of bitcoin (when it drops like crazy). Essentially people want to make money quickly.

It is due to the bad news like China ban on bitcoin. Bitcoin is directly affected by the mood of the investors  therefore if there are bad news like I mentioned it goes down rapidly but normally it goes high due to demand over time as bitcoin enters public internet.

It is very simple bitcoin is giving more returns than stocks or real estate.For instance two years before the value of one bitcoin is $300.If someone invest $300 at that then he will get high returns as $6400 the profit percentage is 2000%.At the same time someone invested in gold or stocks or something else of amount $300,now the price of that maybe $500 or even less,the profit percentage is less than 70% so the meaning of best investment is have to give us good returns.The bitcoin gives that than others so it is best investment.

Bitcoin is far more better than real estate Investments. When you invest in Bitcoin, you get a very high return because Bitcoin growth is very rapid. But in real estate, it takes longer time t get a tangible profit. And Real estates requires maintenance in order for the value to be appreciating.  But Bitcoin can't replace Real estate.

Because bitcoin is having more popularity in very short period of time and plus the market is very easy to manipulate. Bitcoin is better than stock because it is still under development. Any project which only began to develop has more profitability. Over time, growth rates may decrease. We were lucky that we managed to become a part of this process. I believe in the great future of bitcoin and any news that bitcoins had new supporters for me as a balm.

There are many threads covering comparisons between bitcoin and gold, btc and stock markets, etc. Real estate is a new angle not covered much, I'll try to focus on that.

The primary issue with real estate is declining demand. Due to middle class to poor earners not receiving the wage hikes they would normally have, demand in real estate and housing markets is decreasing. Banks have tried to keep demand constant by lowering the standards a person must met to qualify for a home loan. Governments have tried to subsidize real estate markets to increase demand. Measures are in place to prevent demand from lowering the value of real estate in the USA. But it may be likely that demand will inevitably decrease and the prices of real estate will fall with it.

On the flipside, btc is a growing and expanding market. Demand for btc and crypto are increasing. This means that it could be possible for bitcoin being worth more tomorrow than whatever its worth today. That may be one of the most glaring comparisons a person could draw between btc and real estate.

The thing which motivates the investor is rate of return with effect and efficient way and it all have bitcoin make it unique and better.it is easily convertible as compare to stocks and real-state without any restricted rules.

The simple fact of generating huge profits this year does not necessarily imply that bitcoin as an investment is better than stocks or real estate. A professional investor bases his decisions not only on the potential benefits, but in many other aspects. Does the fact that bitcoin work as a universal currency effect the overall value?

In my opinion, it is a better investment than stocks in real state because its market value is continuously incereasing as years are passing by, klgiven the fact that 6 years before it is only priced less than a thousand dollars while its current value is already more than 6000$ and is still increasing. Also, Bitcoin is a currency and an asset at the same time, it is an advantage because if it is legal to your country you will be able to use it as a currency and as an asset at the same time.

Yes you are right there are basic reasons which make bitcoin better and important than stocks and real-estate. Yes I am right and the features I know are that bitcoin is much popular and easy than stocks and also real-estate and people invest and like bitcoin more than them all and this is the first reason why bitcoin is much better.

Bitcoin is a currency that can be used anywhere. Actually, bitcoin will generally be used online, so there is no need to exchange something tangible.
On the contrary, gold will be more or less priced according to its quality, the place where you want to make the exchange, and so on. Prices of real estate will highly vary, according to the current economic and demographic situation.
If you compare all these potential sources of investment, bitcoin is rather stable and its value has increased (with fluctuations, of course) since its inception.

Those conventional assets and commodities mean nothing in front of the bitcoin because they are regulated and manipulated by the government itself in the first place. And you can do everything from your living room, don't have to go around and see huge number of real eststes for investment until you find the right one.

It's more or less a gamble, just like people were gambling with BTC in the early stages. In 2010 you were paying a few $ for it, but you never knew if those few $ will ever bring profit. I won't entirely say that bitcoin is better than any other conventional investment asset. Probably it has outrun any other investment asset in terms of growth and return but it is risky as well. Bitcoin price is very dynamic and can fluctuate from one end to another in no time. So if anyone is looking for a safe investment option for capital protection, bitcoin is not a good and wise choice for him.

Instead bitcoin is a best fit for aggressive investors who are willing and also capable to handle losses. Well this is the 3rd thread I have seen regarding this anyways, well everyone decides what they are comfortable in and that depends upon the market that is able to go through all ypur expectations, well I personally feel that Bitcoins are better than stock market in terms of investment because:-

They let you earn even if you have nothing to invest and then you can think about Saving up those.

They are more transparent and you don't need that much documentation to start investing in Bitcoins.

Like in stock market when you have to really start investing ..you usually first have to pay fee then.. you have to give necessary documents for withdrawal.. its a cumbersome process and genuinely very long, you need papers and many more things. Where as in bitcoins anyone can invest without indulging in all this.

In stock market you can't .. Really.. point out your stocks as commodity, where as in bitcoins they for sure work as an asset.. you can exchange them whenever you want pay through them and.. its all acceptable.

There are many other points too but I think these will be enough.

Yes Bitcoin can do a fast transaction wherever we are that's why it become useful and valuable when the days continue to past. Bitcoin is also a good investment than other because they can provide a big profit whether we hold it or trade it because we know bitcoin is a profitable asset and also currency that can connect people worldwide.

The first reason that i see is that people could join bitcoin without capital investment to involve.By starting slowly in the campaigns, they could earned slowly but surely and will have the opportunity to become rich with out spending any penny. The second reason is we could have this investment without paying any tax at the moment and enjoy this benefits as long as bitcoin is not declared legal in a certain country in which most of the countries in the world did not legalize bitcoin but not ban.

The obvious answer is the people trust bitcoin. As a result the price goes up. Just within a year the price increase is 10 times.  ;D Without the people putting their money bitcoin cannot reach what it it today.
It's just the same with stocks if a certain stock is trusted by the people then people will put their money to it and that stock price will skyrocket.

It grows rapidly and it really gives a brighter future to a lot of people in addition one thing I love with bitcoin is that it don't require higher amount of investment you can start little by little.

bitcoin today is in high demand and it is also a new trend in investing that is why the price is soaring high, but if we compare its market capitalization bitcoin was just a very very small like less than .1 percent when all stocks and real estate combined.it is still not widely acceptable to the masses so i can say that it is far less better than other commodities, but the more people trust bitcoin today, but didn't know what the future it could take.

The fact that bitcoin can work as a universal currency like USD somehow affects the overall value. Some people buy it for the purpose of buying an item online, and somehow the most convenient way to pay online when a store accepts bitcoin is btc itself. Comparing the rate of return in between industries or sectors will make you more convince to invest in bitcoin even though many are still doubtful about it because of its volatility. No bureaucracy and a very high yield

For me Bitcoin is better than real estate for its flexibility to be sold and bought. It is better than stocks for somehow the same reason. One can not buy a stock like he buys a crypto-currency. He needs first to be in the working hours and days. Also, even though it is changing in some places, you still need to make a call to your bank each time you want to buy and sell. What a pain ! Crypto-currencies offer a welcome flexibility.

For me both stocks and cryptocurrency are the best, I can easily trade stocks through online broker same with bitcoin thru crypto exchanges. Although I agree that those two paper assets are better compare to real estate. Stocks and bitcoin are more liquid than real estate but for me if you have much money to use then really better to have those 3 great investment, since all of them are good for long term purposes and you should diversify your money to lessen the risk.

I think BTC is in early stages and attracting a lot of people so it´s in a very exponential growth stage. We saw in the DOT.com bubble that anyone would be a stock investor but mainly in the US and Europe. what we are seeing in BTC is that anyone in the world can invest and you are not expected to invest 1000´s like in stocks. So every single citizen in the world can start with even a few sats make this a truly global market with a lot of growth potencial.

Buying bonds awaits you for a very long time. When playing stock, the stock market has many fluctuations. Buying a bitcoin will help you hoard the same savings as depositors. Increasingly high profit margins. You can sell or hold your own. Invest in bitcoin.

So far I have never seen any money creating such high interest rates, you can get a few times higher profits than the money you invest. However, it is worth noting that in Bitcoin, you can not predict the future as well as its increase so its potential risk is much higher than investing in stocks or real estate

The risk of investing in bitcoin of course high but it's easy kompensiruet its high yield. And liquidity of bitcoin also remains high. Makes no sense to abandon such income. In addition, the return on investment in bitcoin is so high that you can quickly recover their investments and continue to earn income from net profit without risking your savings.

It's really hard to say. I think when it comes to investments it's very important to be able to differentiate value from just price or profit. Bitcoin actually shines in both aspects right now, and that is why I think it's an amazing investment. We all know about it's value and purpose (the ability to act as a decentralized asset and currency, to be immune to inflation, it's ability to provide secure and direct forms of payment, without the need for an intermediary, like banks). This alone should be enough to buy bitcoin, even if its price was stable. But the thing is, that on top of all this, we have a technology that it's still in it's early days, and that means that it's still under-evaluated. So if we have an amazing valuable technology that is under-evaluated, that means that we can also profit from investing in it, because we will be the "pioneers" in this area.

So yes, for all this, bitcoin is a much better investment right now, when compared to all the other things you've mentioned.

actually bitcoin the best investment for now.. in the last few months some people prefer invest with bitcoin because the prices of bitcoin so fast to increase and that can give them many profit in a short time but that doesn't mean bitcoin better than stocks, real estate.. in my opinion bitcoin just the one of alternative for investment.

Is it? I know it's been very profitable this year but it's still a virtual good. If you have real estate you're open to many possibilities like you can start a business there, rent it out, live there. It won't disappear just like that and if you die it will be inherited by your family. If you build a house it will be something they can remember you by. Physical goods have that advantage over virtual ones.

People see Bitcoin to be better than stocks, real-estate and the rest of the traditional assets because Bitcoin volatility is so high and all in favour of investors at the same time, not many people have experienced or incurred huge lost yet because the volatility is all in favour of them.

Real estate brings about 6-10% ROI annually. Stocks bring 8% on average, and if you are lucky you might get 10-14% on a good year. Bitcoin, on the other hand, has brought 700% ROI to everyone who bought it only a year ago. This means the BTC is literally 70 times better of an investment than stocks or real estate.

The easy answer to this is that bitcoin is in a runaway bull market.  It's like Jesse Livermore used to say when asked why stocks were going up--"It's a bull market, my boy!"  So anyone who's put money into bitcoin in the last few years has made crazy money.  How long this will last is another issue, and it's one that no one here can answer with a straight face.

Real estate is always good to invest in, IMO.  Owning property is important should we get hit with a zombie apocalypse.

Gold & silver?  Right now they are some of the worst-performing assets on the market.  They're still up for the year, but nowhere near what bitcoin or the stock market are doing.  They don't pay dividends, they don't perform any useful functions other than sitting there looking pretty and waiting for the next 2011 bubble.  Some might say it's a good time to buy, now that they've been beaten down, but I'm not sure.  I did recently buy some gold & silver with bitcoin, and as it turns out I should have saved the bitcoin.  Ugh.  Live and learn, right?

So yeah, bitcoin right now is king.  No one really calls a bubble correctly, but I'm not sure we're not in one right now.  Kinda scary.

Bitcoin at the moment not the best place for all own investments. It is high-risk very unstable tool among all opportunities. It at the same time bears as much new opportunities how many new risks. Bitcoin is better than others becuase if the value goes down it will increase again by just a day or a week so bitcoin is a good  other than stock that need to wait for too long to get huge money so i prefer always to hold bitcoin for my future.

bitcoin is definetly better than any other types of investment because of its high volatility that can cause to its value to increase or decrease but mostly increasing in a shorter period of time , thats why most of investors and traders choose and prefer bitcoins rather than  others because they can earn much profit in a quick way. plus bitcoins are much easier in terms of trading, buying and selling it compared to others.

In bitcoin you can see your profit even in just a month because  of its volatility while investing in real estate, it takes years to appreciate with just a little interest while in stocks? You actually didn't have a clue when will you take profit.
We're all talking money here and we all want is to make more profit so I don't see anything why choose real estate versus bitcoin as we knew many are making great money through it. ;D

I think its better because bitcoin price is unstable and tends go upwards while in stocks and real state price are based on fiat and some government has a huge tax on real state properties which is not good for small investor.

I don't think stating simply that the trend goes upwards is a good, convincing argument. Just as much as we have been seeing up trends, we cannot get caught up in them right now. The volatility of bitcoin is definitely a problem that not a lot of people want to face. People want to keep their investments as safe as possible, and if they're looking to do that, then bitcoin is simply not the right option. Bitcoin requires a risk on the investor's side.

It isn't. The buying and selling of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies is not called "investing" but "trading" in here you take advantage of the price movement to take profit. Investing on the other hand relies on the real value of something that will increase overtime, it relies heavily on fundamental analysis in order to know if it is good for long term profits. Bitcoin cannot be an investment as you really don't know what the real value of it is as the prices is determined buy the buying and selling pressures created by the traders.

Properties are better of as an investment as it tends to appreciate in value and can also be used for living purposes too. Bitcoin is better in terms of a currency as with the volatility rates it's better to trade with it rather than save it for long term uses.

If we invest in stock markets,then we would have to wait for even years to get huge returns.
For real estate,huge amount of investment is needed to even buy assets.
Also,we could not escape from the government taxes if we do such investments.
But bitcoin investment is totally different from them.

Whether it's real estate or some form of stocks, it cannot give us such an increased growth happening with bitcoin. Also keeping track of bitcoin is simple compared to the stocks, based on which profiting too is highly possible. Finally one can invest what is affordable which is not possible with stocks and real estates.

I think its not yet time to compare bitcoin from those things, bitcoin just started few years ago and still has many feature to develop and advance. Traditional invest has been trusted for many years and would continu to be trusted by many. But in the other hand, bitcoin has big potential to become better way of investment. Bitcoin is no denying making a big impact in the market, you can never gain profit the same bitcoin is offering compared to other conventional investment. Bitcoin value is ever changing that even in short period of time your wealth might double its price.

But then again, bitcoin is not yet fully develop. The best thing to do for now is to invest both bitcoin and conventional wat. Its better if they can go along side with each other

its a new kind of stocks for me but at the same time its a forex. its a combine of stocks which is could be considered as forex (money). its better cause the technology of blockchain make it more transparant and more likely opened to public.

The volatility is a challenge and would always be a challenge as long as bitcoin stays alive. Sure, we may have some normal usage later on and then we may get some balance but that still does not mean we won't keep seeing the little level of volatility here and there. However, every investment comes with a risk. I have seen situations where stocks have gone wrong and even real estates with some local or national laws.
It is one of those things we need to realize do happen in investments. Bitcoin though a bit risky at the moment, but does not seem as risky as we had it years back since real life usage is stepping in globally now, but we still have to expect the worst in as much as we are optimistic just like in any investment.

I do agree that sometimes when the investment is done the returns providing by the real estate or stocks will not be matching to that of the btc return. But at the same time country do need to support btc else for those citizens if country does not support it, still stock and real estate is the best option available for them.

This is just a plain fact. Over time we will see a form of stability, however, how soon that would be is what is not known. For now indeed Bitcoin is the best investment out of all that you said because it give a huge amount of percentage in return of investment in just a short period of time but I don't really sure to when will this be last, Bitcoin's main purpose is to serve as an international online digital currency but it seems that it is like an asset more than a currency for now because it is so regretting to spend a piece of Bitcoin in buying goods and services online if you know to yourself that it will increase in the future as the volatility of it is so high.

Bitcoin is still quite new that's why there is too much price volatility and the rate of return has a huge difference when you put your money in stocks or real estate wherein you will get back your capital in a few years while in bitcoin, it may just take months. Until Bitcoin reach a stable condition and prove itself against time we can't call it a better investment than conventional investment.

Agree. I would like to think that bitcoin is just equivalent of such. The only difference are the rates or exchange and the earnings you got from this industry. However the recognition as compared to the cited examples : stocks, bonds, exchange, hedge funds , mutual funds is on my end is more incomparable to bitcoin. Real-estate gives returns for sure, but they are very slow-paced due to the fact that they cannot be moved and are controlled mostly by governing authorities and appreciation over the value of property is already determined for each year to them.

I do not beleive that bitcoin is better than real estate, gold, and other more. In my opinion, the only advantage of bitcoin to others is that you could invest to it even you have no jobs, minor, and not legal to do so. I mean that everyone is welcome to bitcoin not like real estate and the others because they requires you many papers such as fiat money. You can not come into this field if you do not have enough fiat money unlike bitcoin which you could obtain here through working in campaigns, again, unlike in our country, we can not find jobs that easily.

Before i really want to invest on real estate physical companies, but it needs initial huge investment, unlike in cryptos we can do have shares with just minimal amount and Im thankful that I was able to do it so as well as having savings on btc.

It isn't. The buying and selling of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies is not called "investing" but "trading" in here you take advantage of the price movement to take profit. Investing on the other hand relies on the real value of something that will increase overtime, it relies heavily on fundamental analysis in order to know if it is good for long term profits. Bitcoin cannot be an investment as you really don't know what the real value of it is as the prices is determined buy the buying and selling pressures created by the traders.

I mean you can also do all the things that you have mentioned but is a regular person actually doing that? Bitcoin is better than stock and real state?  In my opinion we can say this thing for now since bitcoin is very very hot in market. But we don't know what will happen after 5 years or 10 Years or maybe earlier than this date.Will the bitcoin will still stand strong in market? This is the question.  Compared to those two bitcoin is not that stable. 

As an investment, it has far higher upside and that's the only thing which separates it from other investments. In terms of stability,security and longer terms i would rather choose up real estate over bitcoin. Im a crypto lover but when it comes to security i would go for traditional ways since i can somehow assure that this investment would really able to give you profits for longer runs. I am not sure that investing in bitcoins is necessarily a better option to invest than the other markets that have already been mentioned, for the simple fact that its high volatility allows a greater margin of profit for many, because we must take into account that there are different profiles of investors and not everyone likes the high risk involved in bitcoin, feeling more comfortable in investment options that guarantee more stable and secure income, but with less risk.

What if you bought bitcoin at $19,000?  What if you bought Bank of America at $3/share?  What if you bought your house 35 years ago for $15,000?  It all depends on when you get in.  You absolutely can make a killing with stocks and real estate if you know what you're doing, if you get in at the right time, and if you hold long enough.  Plus, I would add, stocks and real estate can produce income that crypto can't.  There are some stocks paying hefty dividends right now, and you can rent out a house and derive income from that.  How is anyone supposed to do that with bitcoin?

Having said that, stocks right now look to be very pricey.  Real estate, too.  There might be a severe correction in the works, maybe even a bona fide crash.  But I've been saying that for the past 3 years and it's yet to happen.

The other two markets have become obsolete and they are not entertained by serious investors anymore. Everyone knows that these are simply after the exposure to crypto currencies, wastage of money. These are too slow in generating some blissful profits for the investors. These markets are hell stable regarding prices that even for years, you cannot become millionaires by investing into them.

I would have been on the same side with this guy, but from what I have seen these previous years, News sites are not reliable when it comes to cryptocurrencies. I have seen lots of News Sources say that Bitcoin is dead, but it still didn’t die. Maybe it’s not the right time, but we still need to be at alert, so in a way, I’m on his side. Real estates are quite a good form of investment, but it takes a lot of money to get into that. Bitcoin creates an opportunity for everyone, and you can get into this stuff with any amount of money. Even $200 invested into bitcoin can turn out to be a huge amount if invested at the right time and held for some time.

As long as you know what you are doing and you are aware of the things that might happen then it will not become impossible for you to become millionaire, we can become millionaire in anyway as long as we have the courage to do  that and we have the consistency from our work so we will not become stuck in progress.

Bitcoin has currency utility, equities can provide ownership of recurring cash flows, and real estate can be used from various other types of utility. So "which is better" isn't really the right question to be asking imho.

Five, you can make improvements and raise the rent to force cap appreciation. Six, you can live in it in a pinch.
