1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ EURO 2024 TOURNAMENT - Discussion Thread on: Today at 09:03:42 AM
After the second goal against Romania, it felt like a lost cause. Both teams were performing great, but the Netherlands had the most shots and possession of the ball for the majority of the game.
I felt sorry for Romania, they came close to causing an upset but in the end they were knocked out of the tournament. On current form I cannot see how Netherlands will beat Turkey.

Germany have been one of the  teams I have seen a good level of a progressive consistent performance, I know England and the Netherlands have also been doing well as much as they can but I have loved everything about German
England have played atrociously bad throughout the tournament and were fortunate to beat Slovakia.
2  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Hero Memeber defaulted 0.005 BTC Loan [DoublerHunter] on: July 03, 2024, 05:17:52 PM
From the other scam accusations based on loan defaults that he has created, yes he seems very patient indeed. The problem seems to be that far too many loan defaulters have chosen him as their source to scam and for that reason he posts scam accusations against non-payers quite frequently. It cannot be easy to have all these defaults and still keep a loan business going when the easiest thing to do would be to stop.

You must be a patient person. One year is  long time to wait for the repayment of your loan. Have you been communicating with the borrower? What was their reson for non repayment of your money? They seem to have run into finncial difficulty because they've been borrowing from you and others and repaying. Just wonder what happened this time.

4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] The Rematch: FURY vs USYK 21st December 2024 on: July 03, 2024, 03:56:40 PM
I cannot be sure but at the time I think my initial reaction was if the referee was going to stop the fight as Usyk seemed in no state to continue (because of the shaking right arm), how would he end the fight. The only way it was going to end as a no contest was if he concluded Dubois hit Usyk below the belt line. If that happened, either he would have been disqualified or had points deducted (which would have been irrelevant in a no contest) therefore I am glad the bout continued.

Even today people are debating about that punch and there is no consensus. When we look at that punch it appears people are concluding different outcomes:

I didn't notice that shaking hand before, but I've just rewatched it and yeah, that looked really unusual. He must've been really hurt.
It could be that Dubois caught him when his abdominal muscles were relaxed, or maybe the impact was big enough to shock his liver.
Anyhow, he did weather the storm and took hi revenge. And as far as the official record goes, he still hasn't been knocked down in his professional career.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] IBF Heavyweight Title Fight: Joshua vs Dubois 21st September 2024 on: July 03, 2024, 02:18:30 PM
Usually when one person gets bullied he his the perpetrator and the one getting bullied when they respond they are usually not called a bully. I am glad Dubois stood up to Joshua but he should not have backed down, he should have made sure the bully Joshua did not have the last word. The best thing Dubois can do is let his hands to the talking in the ring, I hope he wins by a clear KO.

As for the winner facing Fury or Usyk, it will be another unification fight because Usyk holds all the heavyweight belts except one and that one is held by Dubois. Interesting boxing happening in September and December  Grin

Both are bullies as far as I know, or at least based on that video. Both of them are trying to intimidate each one so I will say that it's not like Dubois has disrespect him first or what. This is boxing match fueled with testosterone level and so they both wanted to win at least in psyche war and no one wanted to give an inch.

For sure AJ will think this as a personal fight because he wanted to win and continue with his comeback and of course the biggest fight as the winner is supposedly going to fight the winner of Fury vs Usyk. So that stakes are high and so are the emotions of this boxers.
6  Economy / Exchanges / Re: eXch - instant exchange BTC / LN / XMR / LTC / ETH / ERC20 on: July 03, 2024, 09:00:49 AM
It is frustrating when the website is not opening at all now in https yet is available on http only. Is anybody else experiencing this?

I had not visited the eXch website for some days but again upon checking today I am having problems because the website is loading intermittently: https://hszyoqwrcp7cxlxnqmovp6vjvmnwj33g4wviuxqzq47emieaxjaperyd.onion/
I don't know if it has something to do with the TOR browser settings, but the first loading is quite slow for me as well. Although almost all onion sites work noticeably slower, that is also the reason why I use them less often.

Now when I tried to reload, the exch onion page is not available. There may be a problem here.

These are the quarter-final fixtures:

Friday 5th July
Spain vs Germany
Portugal vs France

Saturday 6th July
England vs Switzerland
Netherlands vs Turkey

-----------------
Up until Netherlands scored their second goal, the game was certainly not over because Romania were playing very well and were searching for the equaliser. Sooner or later that would obviously allow for insufficient defending when the other team would counter-attack and that is how Netherlands scored their second and third goals. As the underdog I was cheering on for Romania.

The underdogs have played very well in this tournament even if they were knocked out at the group stages or round of 16. I think of Slovenia, Slovakia and of course Albania but also Romania. Even Turkiye were not favourites to reach the quarter-finals but they are there and now between the eight teams, they are considered as underdogs.

Agreed watched that game end to end and was rooting for romania, like a good underdog.  The game got away from them late but they played well.  I think this is the first time romania got out of group play in years.  Looking forward to seeing some of these heavyweights clash though as we get closer to the finals.  Been a great tourny so far.
8  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: 🔥 GingerWallet.io - Desktop, Non-custodial, Open source | #CoinJoin on: July 03, 2024, 08:15:03 AM
Like most others posting here, I only heard about them reading this thread. If anybody wanted to use this wallet to test functions or coinjoins, they probably would have uninstalled WasabiWallet entirely (or never used it in the past) and would not know about issues when running simultaneously.

I am probably correct when I say the number of WasabiWallet users was most probably on the decline since controversy surrounding blockchain analysis became part of the conversation and it fell must have fallen significantly after they removed their default co-ordinator therefore not many people would have downloaded GingerWallet to use at the same time.

This is a plus point for those that were using WasabiWallet but stopped because their default co-ordinator was removed. They could use GingerWallet and retain previous WasabiWallet folders or keep using WasabiWallet but modify the GingerWallet api link. Either way there is a benefit for those that want to keep using these wallets.

Therefore, both wallets should not be run at the same time.

In addition, previously, when I tried the Wasabi wallet and activated the Bitcoin Knots option, the setting automatically added configuration to the bitcoin.conf file in the Bitcoin Core file directory. The disablewallet setting becomes active (= 1), so the wallet is not displayed when Bitcoin Core is run. These settings must be changed manually to display the wallet on Bitcoin Core.

Romania 0-3 Netherlands
Austria 1-2 Turkiye

I think the 0-3 score flatters The Netherlands because the game was much closer than that. Romania pushed them very hard and were unfortunate to have not scored before Netherlands ensured victory.

As for Turkiye, what a game. Austria are out of the tournament after Turkiye won the game 1-2 and it was a brilliant game to watch. How fast were the reflexes of goalkeeper Gunok to make that super save otherwise Austria could have equalised in the final seconds of the game.

The opening goal was scored after 57 seconds on the clock because Turkiye took the game to Austria and were not intimidated by them. Both teams played attacking football and for much of the ending part of the game Austria tried to push more and more as they tried to find the equalising goal but whenever Turkiye broke in a counter-attack they should have scored.

Austrian goalkeeper Pentz saved several shots including that very late one-on-one. It was an excellent game, congratulations to Turkiye for reaching their first Euro quarter-final in 16 years.

----------------------

The eight teams that have qualified for the quarter-finals are: Switzerland, Germany, England, Spain, France, Portugal, Netherlands and Turkiye.
10  Other / Meta / Re: Artificial Intelligence on the Forum on: July 02, 2024, 10:43:02 PM
That is a very bold statement, I like it  Grin

As members of the forum we should all be accepting intelligence but not in any form. Human intelligence ranging from the low quality posters, trolls, scammers and attention-seekers on one side and high quality posters and technical geniuses on the other side and every one else between the two are humans with intelligence. It is a broad pool.

On the flip side there is AI (to include chatbots) and that is basically taking things too far when it comes to this forum populated and dominated by humans. If those claiming to use AI to correct posts want others to believe them that is a different matter altogether but using AI to generate replies for the sake of trying to build accounts with minimal effort to make money from them is basically not intelligence. Would you agree?

Personally, I welcome intelligence in any form.  This forum need all that it can get.  Wink
11  Other / Meta / Re: Artificial Intelligence on the Forum on: July 02, 2024, 02:53:47 PM
I feel like we need clear rules about Artificial Intelligence on the forum.
Some of us have been asking for clarity for a very long time but had to interpret the rules as we thought appropriate. For that reason I think the whole debate will rage on for a long time until it eventually reaches a point at which AI would have inflicted a lot of changes. By that point, it would force admin to make an announcement to put an end to the confusion.

Personally, I welcome intelligence in any form.  This forum need all that it can get.  Wink

13  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: 🔥 GingerWallet.io - Desktop, Non-custodial, Open source | #CoinJoin on: July 02, 2024, 12:01:41 PM
Not I am defending their actions but maybe those blog entries could simply be down to the fact that they were under heavy pressure from their own legal team which advised them to those steps. If not, maybe it was as a result of their own concerns that they could be facing future legal woes and decided to take drastic action as a precaution after Samourai Wallet was closed down and their founders arrested being accused of $1.7 billion money laundering.

If I remember correctly, not that long ago zkSNACKs was either seeking investment or were selling some or all of their company and as a result the owners were going to receive a financial windfall. All that seems to have ended now but it make people ask why GingerWallet would start up using the very same tools (via the fork) that WasabiWallet discontinued using in their attempt to protect themselves from any potential legal action.

--snip--
I cannot recall if WasabiWallet was restricting downloads to a specific country (USA) or whether their previous versions that did allow a default co-ordinator could even be modified to use n alternative one therefore cannot compare the two points you raised about GingerWallet.
--snip--

About that, their blog state they block U.S. resident and citizen from download and access any of their service[1]. Although 5 days later, they also write blog which state they discontinue their CoinJoin coordinator service[2].
14  Other / Meta / Re: retiring an account in the age of AI on: July 02, 2024, 11:46:59 AM
If the options you mentioned are not going to be considered then what about directly asking admin to give accounts a retirement tag in their profile next to their member rank? The caveat being if someone asks for a retirement of their account then it is a one way request that cannot be undone. That way nobody including the owner/operator of the account (or any future AI hack attempt) will be able to access it.

so it occurs to me that an AI could be trained on an abandoned users posts to the point of it being able to mimic the original account holder. it could mimic the original account holder to the point of fooling casual inspection.

so to permanently retire an account (mine for example) i thought of asking a bunch of DT1 etc to red paint my account with neg trust and say its toast and done. the object being to make the account useless as to the point its no longer of value.

but the AI impersonation bit disturbs me as i can see it happening. or am i in tinfoil land again.

any comments welcome

edit: aside from setting up OTP and setting a password to something ridiculous, then destroying them both. i want something that makes the underlying account useless for taking over in the 1st place.
15  Other / Meta / Re: Should this forum ban the use of chatbots and AI entirely? on: July 02, 2024, 11:34:58 AM
What happened to your input in this thread that you created as an attempt to avoid receiving tags on your account. You no longer post there: Chatbots: The Future of Scam Hunting

You are clearly playing the role of an innocent individual pretending to be ignorant yet all you did was to demonstrate your mindset. Your ditec_wrogn account has been noticed by far too many members now and for that reason will probably not be monetised via signature campaigns in future therefore why keep up the charade?

Your posting similarities to a certain account comes to mind. How many accounts do you have in the forum?

Hey everyone,

So I've been using a chatbot to help me detect scammy behavior and provide arguments against scammers, and I've gotten mixed reactions to it. Some people appreciate the flags and scam accusations I've made with the help of my chatbot, while others think it's insincere or even cheating.

I've noticed that some people don't like the use of chatbots in this forum, and I'm cool with that. But I haven't seen any official petitions or discussions about it, so I thought I'd bring it up here.

What do you all think about the use of chatbots and AI in this forum? Should they be allowed, or should this forum totally ban their usage? I'm curious to hear what you all think! I'll be sure to reply to what everyone has to say next week, but for now, I hope you all have a great weekend!
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] IBF Heavyweight Title Fight: Joshua vs Dubois 21st September 2024 on: July 02, 2024, 11:22:09 AM
I saw a similar video from a different source days ago and my opinion has not changed. Quite simply, Joshua looked like a bully trying to intimidate Dubois. He thought it was acceptable for him to disrespect Dubois but it was not acceptable for Dubois to return it back to him.

For me, when Joshua threatened to hit him with a chair he crossed the line and became a bully as well as a nobody. Clearly Dubois is not the most articulate when it comes to having a microphone in front of him and did not know how to respond but Joshua was aware of that since they know each from many years ago when they sparred.

I hope Dubois wins the fight and in the process helps Joshua expedite his retirement.

Here is the face-off and it seems that they are building the hype already,

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/1hu0Y0TBPx4

Dubois very aggressive but Joshua tries to be cool. However, AJ can't stand Dubois disrespecting him and so they almost got it during their sit down interview. And it could be dangerous for Dubois as he wake up the fire in AJ here and so I'm thinking that AJ is taking this fight very personal and so might go and look for early knockout to silence Dubois here.
17  Economy / Speculation / Re: In July do we go bull and pass 75k? on: July 02, 2024, 10:30:08 AM
Like countless others, I have been reading about Bitcoin prices (call them forecasts or predictions) for a long time and I am not impressed with what I have read over the years. Whether Bitcoin reaches levels as low as $50,000 or not, it will not stop those that want to claim it and the same is for those that claim it will hit $100,000.

The problem will always be for people that see their investment as a liability when the price falls instead of remaining optimistic and refusing to sell.

Who is predicting bitcoin will reach 55k$-50k$ and are they confident that their prediction will happen? Did they open a short position with their prediction or are they just helping to spread Fud about Mt.gox to the market?

I also heard about this news but I really don't understand it hasn't even started yet but why are many of us starting to panic and spread about this? This is like we are helping whales spread Fud and making people sell their bitcoins instead of being bullish on bitcoin.
Because there has not been any further announcement from Mt.gox even though we have entered July but I personally believe that they are just trying to scare us but things are not as scary as we think. There will be no serious dumping just because of this news, which has been spreading for 10 years.
18  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Sony to restart cryptocoin exchange Whalefin on: July 02, 2024, 10:20:12 AM
This is definitely newsworthy as it makes another massive international brand become associated with crypto but I am not optimistic about the near future plans Sony could have with Whalefin. There is absolutely no announcement or indication that crypto will be implemented in to day-to-day activities when using Sony products therefore their business decision must be based on a different perspective.

Sony is planning to restart the crypto exchange Whalefin, which it bought from crypto lender Amber Group last year.
19  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: File a case in Finland remotely against a Bitcoinscammer on: July 02, 2024, 09:01:13 AM
I wonder how genuine your words are and if you even have another motive. You create an account on 28th June and are last active on 29th June and in that period you make one post. Also, it seems if the replies in this thread were of value to you (because of the pressing question you asked), you would have been far more active. How can you be taken seriously?

You created an account in the forum specifically to ask this question when your time would have been better spent asking a lawyer in your own country or finding one in Finland. In short, ask a lawyer in your own country or contact any lawyer from Finland: https://findanattorney.fi

Hi,

is it possible to file a case in Finland from abroad, without being present at the hearing (maybe through zoom video conference)?
I want to file a case against the Vladislav Alimpiev who have stolen all my bitcoins, but I am not residing in Finland.

20  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: metaspins casino scammed me with amount more that 180 000 usdt on: July 02, 2024, 08:38:15 AM
If there has been any blatant deliberate act that traps players in to a cycle by locking withdrawals citing breaches of terms and conditions when there are huge amounts involved, then it is unacceptable.

If they do that while at the same time allowing for deposits to take place in order to entice/allow players to continue placing wagers in the hope they lose then unlock withdrawals when the amounts are smaller, it is basically a combination of many words including cheating, fraud and scam.

Metaspins.com do you have any comment to make about this?

On the other side, it's worth noting that OP was previously locked from withdrawals for the very same accusation he currently have right now, and that limitation was temporarily "revoked" once he lost a lot. They let him play and withdraw instead of verifying their findings, for a while, only to have that situation reemerged [this time his entire account got locked] when he once again tries to withdraw big.

So, I think it's only fair to consider that the casino also plays a dirty hand here. Since they can still be online from the last time I tried to get it clarified, I don't think they have any intention to straighten it. And I tend to think the reluctance was due to that the situation is true.

I am not saying OP is not wrong here, the casino's finding might be true, that OP had multi-acc, but that doesn't justify their action to lock withdrawal feature so the player can lose big, unlock it once the balance drained, and re-block them when he tries to made another big withdrawal.

I am leaving a negative tag for this, as it is a trait that's very detrimental for a casino and it exposes the community to a risk.

Metaspin's.com, feel free to pop back whenever you're ready to give plausible explanation.
