381  Other / Meta / Re: Should bitcointalk ban promotion of other forums? on: February 12, 2024, 12:12:38 AM
I think there is probably a worry or question from some members (including the OP) about what is potentially allowed to be discussed because of the recent mixers ban. It is possible it has raised concerns because of the number of members that have teleported to a forum that could continue to grow further in terms of influence as well as traffic.

I honestly don't see a huge problem with it, they are probably cross promoting Btslk anyhow. I have actually been thinking about joining other forums as well but for other purposes. Like I am interested in a hackers forum and maybe some other IT related forums etc just for educational purposes.
382  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2023/2024 on: February 11, 2024, 11:32:21 PM
I thought it was a piece of pure class from Declan Rice when he scored with that fantastic strike but then he held his hands up to acknowledge the West Ham fans because he was their player until Arsenal managed to buy him. He spent many years at West Ham through their academy and then to the first team before being sold.

As for the score, if you had placed a bet you would have been happy with what you would have won. Never mind, just enjoy the Premier League as it is.

As if I knew this game was going to end 6 goals to nil just as predicted above, but the only mistake I think I made was to not staking it after saying it, as I'm sure by now I would have been on a very good sum right now as the game played at prediction. But however, all kudos to the entire Arsenal players, as they did play a very wonderful game today.
383  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2023/2024 on: February 11, 2024, 07:54:16 PM
These are the scores from the games played today:

West Ham United 0-6 Arsenal
Aston Villa 1-2 Manchester United

What a game between West Ham United and Arsenal. Moyes and his West Ham team could not anything to stop Arsenal today. For Arteta to make his team play the way they do and then to win the game 0-6 it is something to congratulate Arsenal for. In the other game, Manchester United beat Aston Villa 1-2 after a late goal that gave them them the win.

It's really been an interesting & fantastic game played between West Ham United and Arsenal, that is, with regards to the Arsenal team ability to score 4 straight goals within a space of just mere 14 minutes in the first half which we least did expect, and as such, there is a high tendency more goals likely to come out in it's second half, resulting to the match ending with either 6 goals or 7 goals extra in total. But all the same, all kudos to "Saliba" who scored the first goal, "Saka" who scored the penalty goal and "Magalhães and Trossard" who scored the third and fourth goals within an interval of 4 minutes.
384  Other / Meta / Re: Email used to create this forum? on: February 11, 2024, 07:49:34 PM
If that is really the case, the issue then arises about what motive the OP would have to ask this question in the first place. If the OP is an established member that has other accounts, I think part of the process (as we have seen many times before) is the puppeteer trying to build up the account. Keeping that aside, I think the OP should probably lock the thread.

Yes, I also think that OP isn't a new member because a new member would never ask a question like that, I'm sure OP is already an established member of the forum but he posted the thread via a new account because he might not want others to know that he's unaware about such information. I highly agree with your conclusion because it's most probably correct.
385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Selling a property to play gamble on: February 11, 2024, 03:33:04 PM
Well, selling anything of value (especially a home which could house a family) is not a wise thing to do. The effects of putting a family through the process of being on the street or sleeping on sofas at various homes belonging to friends is not ideal in any situation but to do that to feed an addiction is extremely worrying.

If the gambler is sure he is going to win the bet therefore sells his property, it is still not a risk-free strategy therefore it really should be avoided. There are no guarantees when it comes to gambling, I hope people who gamble are always responsible.

Selling your property for gambling, depends on if is your last property cause I don't advice that but if you have more no problem, you can always recover.i no people who live by gambling and take care of there family and survive.if it works for you fine is all about believe.a person can sell is property to gamble he might have gotten an information of winning and it works for him he gets another property.but someone else has no information of what is gambling for you go into it and run at lost,is no one's fault.
386  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [ SCAM ALERT ] Blackjack.Fun is a cheap Scammer on: February 11, 2024, 03:17:31 PM
It definitely gives confidence to a customer if they see the platform they are gambling on is registered and licenced somewhere. For me personally, the Curacao licence is worthless and pointless because it is being used by the majority of businesses for the very same reason I have cited but nevertheless at least casinos can be held to some sort of account if victims report them to the Curacao authorities.

It should not take long to remove the Curacao logo but they are not doing it. As long as blackjack.fun are not even removing the Curacao logo they should not be used. As for the Costa Rica licence, they should update their link immediately because the conflicting details make them seem very unprofessional: https://blackjack.fun/provably-fair/toc

Trying to look important, I guess. Most players are familiar with the Curacao brand, probably not so much with Costa Rica licensed online casinos. I am sure it would take less than a minute to get rid of the logo but they don't want to in an attempt not to remove any "importance" from the website. It should be replaced with a working link proving they have a valid Costa Rica license, though.

388  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Selling a property to play gamble on: February 11, 2024, 02:35:01 PM
There is a fine line between someone gambling and having fun at the same time and for example someone that is losing themselves down the self-destructive route. Some people do not know when to stop and that is when tragedy will strike. When gamblers isolate themselves from family and only think about gambling more and more to try to recover the losses they have already made, they are on a slippery slope to disaster.

I hope those that gamble always manage to stay aware of their personal limits and boundaries and do not take steps that will affect their family/home life or their own mental wellbeing.

This particular issues with people and their gambling habits is what have gave gambling some sort of I'll view in many society at large and I don't think most person even learn from other people's error in this particular field. Gambling is something that can be enjoyed in peace and also be destructive only if you let it ruin you and most person has choose to let it be a problem and a very hard problem to even get by because once the damage is done it's very hard to repair yourself.
389  Economy / Reputation / Re: 1xBit.com Coming back to Bitcointalk, Solving all the issues. on: February 11, 2024, 02:12:56 PM
My understanding is that they claimed they were under new management but that was a lie as they tried to take steps to repair the damage to their reputation (but please let me know if I misunderstood that part).

Without a doubt they are advertising in various places including prominent websites and those with a high visitor counts therefore they have funds to maintain that momentum but since they have lost hope of doing anything here maybe they will focus all their efforts elsewhere. Imagine what goes through the mind of someone that deposited funds and won a mid-large amount of money only to be told their account was now frozen as they were suspected of cheating but were not being told anything else and were not given the chance to defend themselves.

They might have been genuine when they made that message, but within 10 seconds the criticism started and they likely said fuck it, we aren't gonna be able to do anything on this forum.

They took they advertising elsewhere. I've seen their banners a few places. Everyone on here mostly knows they're a scam company, but there are so many out there that may not be a part of this community, those are the ones who are not safe as they have no idea what's in store for them.
390  Economy / Gambling / Re: Seabet.io| Limited Time 10-15% Slots Depo Bonus 🎰 5-10% Slots Daily Loss Return on: February 11, 2024, 11:06:33 AM
In my opinion at this stage neither of the two complaints mentioned in this thread can be elevated to a scam accusation because it is too early for that. The Seabet team need to reply to the complaint you highlighted because over two weeks of silence is simply not good enough.

As for the other complaint against them, they seem to have kept him waiting for over a month. By trying to stay neutral, their next reply to both these cases will probably indicate whether the scam accusations against them are justified therefore they need to reply as soon as possible.

Below is the only response from Seabet for the complaint by above user (vdd2a2ddd):

Good day, we have received an update from our team regarding your account. It appears that your account is currently under review by the gaming provider, and it may take several days before we receive a final decision. For more information and assistance, please reach out to our customer support team. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Seabet said "several days", 2 weeks passed since he said it but no updates from him and the user has not received any update from them. The other user (kadat) opened a scam accusation thread already and it seems that the case is the same as vdd2a2ddd which is about "account under review" and both cases takes too long time, not only several days as what Seabet said in above post. This casino will start to get bad impression if they ignore the complaints without giving good explanation about what is going on.
391  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Seabet.io Holding my funds for more than a month. on: February 11, 2024, 10:57:35 AM
i messaged julerz12 i think second day after seabet disabled my withdrawals. Unfortunately he told me there is nothing he can do about it.
I am sure the campaign manager should have at the very least notified Seabet about your scam accusation and after that there was clearly nothing more he could do. It would be useful to know if that was what he did (or did not) do. In the event there is a clear issue in the way complaints are being addressed/resolved/unresolved by the website, a campaign manager would then have to make a decision about whether to continue promoting the brand or not.

No review on casino.guru isnt mine. im giving seabet last chance to solve my problem before i start writing reviews on other sites..
I think that will be a valid next step because you have waited far longer than you needed to in order for this matter to have been resolved. If there is already a complaint against them at CasinoGuru that means you can add your own complaint. It would be wise to have a little more patience because forum members have started posting in the Seabet ANN thread highlighting your case therefore a couple of days more should suffice.
392  Other / Meta / Re: (Any Guesses?) Are there many real (unpaid) people still posting here at BCT? on: February 11, 2024, 10:43:07 AM
If you see a post that does not have a link/logo in either their signature or personal website information, then they probably are not being paid. Unfortunately, that is what many puppeteers do, they build up accounts before monetising them therefore just because some accounts might not be displaying/promoting a brand now it does not mean they will never do it.

If memory serves correct, I applied to join my first signature campaign after I had made around 9500 posts but eventually joined my first signature campaign after I had made 10,000 posts therefore I mad over 10,000 posts without getting paid (though one of the victims of a scam did make generous gifts to some members including me that supported him when his funds were stolen by an exchange and he eventually had them returned).

Hello, I have spent many hours studying the old threads at your wonderful forum, and I suggest to anyone they do the same. The amount of challenging, high-quality topics combined with no spam or sigs is a refreshing retro experience for me. As we quickly head into 2024, do you think there many real (unpaid) people still posting here at BCT? Have a great day.

I know it has been a while since I have posted in this thread but after reading a recent scam accusation against the 1xbit/1xbit1 website, I decided to post here.

They last had activity here in May 2023. What happened to their promises of a fresh start? Did they even resolve anything when they claimed to be trying to resolve scam allegations against them?

Hello Bitcointalk Community

1xBit is Now control by a new Team. We want to do a fresh start again. Most of the scam accusation are 2 years+ old, not sure if there a way to resolve them.

If there is any issues with your account please post all the details here, make sure to provide your account number.(Send the information via PM) We will try to solve all your issues. We're interested to hear back your thoughts too.

Best Regards

394  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Seabet.io Holding my funds for more than a month. on: February 10, 2024, 10:24:03 PM
I sympathise with you, I am sure many forum members will if they read what you have stated to be the facts but it is important to read what the Seabet forum representative replies. I know you have waited for an unnecessary long time for them to reply but now you have brought this matter to the forum with a scam accusation it will be discussed here in public. It is in their interests to make a statement as soon as possible either accepting what you wrote and offer a solution to resolve it or deny any wrongdoing and counter your allegation.

Im creating this thread because i hope it is the only chance to get more detailed respond from seabet.io .
395  Economy / Gambling / Re: Seabet.io| Limited Time 10-15% Slots Depo Bonus 🎰 5-10% Slots Daily Loss Return on: February 10, 2024, 10:18:02 PM
I think what is important for the Seabet representative to appreciate is that if forum members (such as you and I) can post in threads where allegations ar made against their business, then they should be able to post in those threads too. They should use every opportunity to defend themselves against any and all accusations rather than stay quiet.

It is important to get both sides of the story before coming to a conclusion therefore it is important to keep an open mind about the allegation until Seabet respond. I hope they reply soon as this delay is affecting their reputation.

To Seabet representative: ignoring customers' concerns and complaints shows lack of professionalism. No one would be interested in those promotions you keep posting about if you don't address/try to resolve your customers' complaints.
Not sure how serious those Accusations are but I invite all members who face troubles withdrawing their winning to report it on the scam accusation board.
396  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Selling a property to play gamble on: February 10, 2024, 06:58:43 PM
Selling a smart phone is far more convenient when using selling a house as a comparator therefore it makes sense for some people to follow that path if it is the norm depending on the area. Using items as collateral is something that most problem gamblers probably do, such as motorbikes, cycles, cars and a lot more.

Also, I think the damage suffered by communities that have family members that have addictions to slot machines, is under reported. Slot machines are magnets for people that are classed as problem gamblers and that is dangerous. You are right, the impact of gambling very big, it destroys families and lives when it changes from fun gambling to addiction.

What most people around me encounter is selling their smartphones to gamble, and some people also pawn them. Most of the gamblers in my area are slot gamblers, only a few play soccer betting, and there are also those who play both. Not a few of them also borrow money from friends, with other small property as collateral such as motorbikes, I haven't found anyone who sells cars, that's very risky in my opinion. As for this model of gambler, it is clear that they are addicted, it is difficult for them to give up this bad habit.

Of course the risk of regret always comes last, but most of them are very prepared for any risk, and will sell any property they can cash in on. The impact of gambling is very big, making you bankrupt and losing almost everything you have. Family, career, savings and future are at stake if you continue to gamble, most addicted gamblers will also avoid people who give them advice. I think if they are at the stage of selling the property to gamble, then they will no longer listen to any advice.
397  Other / Meta / Re: Icopress ' Merit Source Application 🚩 on: February 10, 2024, 06:30:48 PM
I am glad the thread was bumped. icopress created the thread in July 2023 therefore it is approximately seven months ago and there is no estimated time before he is advised if the application has been accepted or rejected.

As there are far too many merit sources at the moment it seems there is an understandable lack of urgency on part of theymos to process this and other applications. I hope he receives a positive outcome soon.

Friendly bump, as I think the forum still need more reliable sources
398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Selling a property to play gamble on: February 10, 2024, 06:10:19 PM
I doubt anybody in the forum would open;y admit to selling a property to gamble and not only that, it is highly unlikely for people to do it. One way homes could be sold is if gamblers ended up taking loans against their homes for the purpose of gambling and they lost the whole amount. In that case it is probable debt collectors would be chasing the debt therefore a home could be forcefully sold via a Court order to recover costs to pay outstanding debts.

Other than that, it would be very unwise for someone to sell their home for the specific purpose of gambling.

Have you ever sold a property to play gamble and afterwards finds it difficult to replace that same property again?
399  Economy / Exchanges / Re: eXch - instant exchange BTC / LN / XMR / LTC / ETH / ERC20 on: February 10, 2024, 04:09:36 PM
By a lucky occasion Cloudflare isn't blocking me from accessing Bitcointalk today and I can finally reply.
Welcome back  Grin

Is there scope or plans for adding any other stable coins options to eXch in the future? DAI and USDT are available on the Ethereum blockchain but are there any plans to spread out further say to TRC-20?

What d5000 answered above is still relevant and can be taken as a full answer. We are still hesitant on adding Tron or Avalanche. We don't trust both project founders and specially the latter.
I need to look in to this to get a better understanding of why you might be avoiding adding them as potential options but TRC-20 seems to be getting popular as an alternative to ERC-20 because of lower fees. If you remain hesitant (after a significant amount of time) you must have valid reasons and concerns for not trusting them. I am not familiar with the background of either of the project founders (Tron or Avalanche) therefore I will try to find out about them.
400  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Rollbit didnt help me as Gambling Addicted - not closing main account on time on: February 10, 2024, 03:33:24 PM
This certainly does sound more like a complaint about the alleged lack of expected customer services and customer care rather than a scam accusation. I am not stating Rollbit could not have done more in this particular case but if the OP is upset about the $560 he lost then yes he has a right but this does not make it a scam.

I hope the OP will use this experience as the final push he needed to refrain all types of gambling in future.

In other words, this really isn't a scam accusation, just a complaint without much basis.  I understand how problem gambling can wreck lives, OP.  I sincerely hope you can get your life back on track if you've suffered any of the consequences of it--and if not, I hope you never learn how bad it can get.
