21  Other / Meta / Re: Are illegal services using impersonation allowed? on: May 08, 2024, 06:21:03 PM
Now this is an interesting point you have raised.

That card service has been available for several years and despite my reservations about it and subsequent questioning in that thread some years ago, it received some positive reviews from members that ended up receiving the cards in physical format and used them. Some of them were trusted members with a good posting history and the card sellers had (I think) no allegations of scamming against them.

It would be interesting to see what theymos would conclude if he were to look at the way the service is operated. If he did not want to keep mixers as a service and banned their advertisements in the forum to protect it from any negative attention of law enforcement agencies, then maybe the same rule should be applied elsewhere.

Where would he draw the line?

22  Other / Meta / Re: Locked threads on reputation board on: May 08, 2024, 05:57:45 PM
Should we have a rule regarding the reputation section where users cannot open a thread and immediately lock it? I feel like users the thread is about should have the right to defend themselves if they wish, without having to open a new thread cluttering the section.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5495165.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5494178.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5493610.0
I have just noticed this thread therefore am only replying now after I noticed my name is mentioned.

I cannot recall when I last created a thread and locked it, therefore this is not a systematic pattern of conduct on my part and my name should not be attributed to those that might/are doing this type of conduct on a regular basis (including if they are known trolls).

The thread I created was not locked immediately, to my knowledge it was locked several hours later and at that point there were no replies were made but I decided to lock it however I copied the content of that post in another post in a different thread and even linked the post in the locked thread which was already part of the discussion.

Maybe I reacted and turned the tables on that narcissist because he created several threads asking for members to exclude someone else and it was he that received a lot of exclusions. We are human after all, infallibility is something we cannot possess.

And no, there should not be a rule in the Reputation board or anywhere else in the forum where creating and locking a thread is prohibited. Each thread that has been created and locked immediately (or even later if no replies were made) should be assessed on an individual basis and members can come to their own conclusions.

Here are a few examples. It might be ok at times I suppose, but really comes off as kind of cowardly to not allow someone to defend themselves doesn't it.
As for creating a thread and it being automatically considered cowardly by virtue of not allowing someone to defend themselves, that also is a matter of perspective and also should be based on the context of the locked thread. On that thinking, yes it is acceptable sometimes depending on the situation.
23  Economy / Reputation / Re: Do you know enough of what you have been told? on: May 08, 2024, 02:25:51 PM
The succession of threads created by the OP (and his minion that has not logged in since 4th May 2024) did not bring anything worthy to discuss but it did not stop him because of his dislike of a particular campaign manager.

If the OP really had a problem with any one member he should have simply ignored and/or excluded and moved on. I think that should be the same process with all members but the problem is that some members have an ego bigger than the statue of liberty and they start vendetta after vendetta thinking they will get away with it without facing consequences.

If you are the OP, think that you were manipulated, then you allowed this person to do this, and, first of all, you were interested in removing this person. Therefore, the answer was given that it is in vain to search for the truth on the Internet when others do not want to hear it since the truth is always different for all people. If you see that you are being played, do the same, but show the person that you know his goals. It's not difficult to guess who you were talking about.
24  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Sportsbet.io - A Case of Selective Withdrawal Approval and Dubious Practices on: May 08, 2024, 01:51:12 PM
This process of fairness should not only apply to BC Game and Sportsbet it should be the same for all online gaming/casino websites. All of those businesses should always be conducting themselves with the utmost professionalism but what everybody has to accept is that their customers are willingly registering themselves and accepting the Terms and Conditions.

What that effectively means is the OP was not forced to register and play there, on the contrary he opted to deposit funds there in order to place bets. As of yet he has not even fully explained what the background to his allegation was therefore it would not be appropriate to jump to conclusions and state Sportsbet should pay the OP. Let the OP explain what happened first.

If we have seen the last of the OP before he provides detailed explanations about what he claims happened, in that scenario this allegation should not be taken seriously.

This case is the same as the one against BC.game. In both instances the players made bets in major sports leagues. Here it's NBA and EPL. There's no reason to multi-account. BC.game made the right decision and decided to pay the player. Sportsbet should do the same.

When trying to figure out any crime, look for the motivation and intent to commit a crime. The OP has no reason to commit a crime here and multi-account. The dollar amounts aren't circumventing limits and the lines are never advantageous at Sportsbet. Pay the player.

Sportsbet - give us one reason why a guy would multi-account betting $500 in major markets?
25  Economy / Reputation / Re: What is happening in the Stake… on: May 08, 2024, 12:29:33 PM
Creating a thread for what seems to be a trivial matter seems to be bordering on the pointless and seems to be nothing more than a time-wasting exercise. They can move their thread if they want to but as has been stated, they pay in USDT therefore if they want to make non-BTC payments they have to move the thread.

Furthermore, this is somewhat off-topic but when we see a thread named as this one titled "What is happening in the Stake…", the bigger question has to be what on earth has their campaign manager been doing over a period of years by enrolling some of the most dubious accounts to promote them. It was mentioned in the past there could a possibility that the tagged accounts might be controlled by the campaign manager himself but I am unsure that is true.

Having said that, generally there is difficulty in understanding the logic behind making campaign payments to many accounts that quite simply seems to be spamming and/or are farmed accounts.
26  Economy / Reputation / Re: goodbye bitcointalk.org! on: May 08, 2024, 09:58:01 AM
For someone that is interested in saying goodbye to the forum, you are dragging this out a lot and you seem to be extending this process beyond what is required when a member wants to leave the forum with a goodbye thread.

It is somewhat disappointing to see you have created this thread on 4th May 2024 yet here you are again on 8th May 2024 still posting when it is supposed to be a goodbye thread.

Logging off will not suffice therefore you should lock this thread, your goodbye has been noted. Eventually it will fade away in to page 2 and 3 etc.

Goodbye in your journey away from the forum.

I can't stop thinking about how scarce it is lol. Thank you, OG. For real.

Logging off.

27  Economy / Reputation / Re: How to remove negative trust from my account? on: May 07, 2024, 06:52:46 PM
Instead of creating this thread to raise awareness of your issue you probably should have written to the member that left you negative feedback to raise your concerns. What was the logic of you avoiding writing to him in the first place?

Furthermore, now that you have received additional negative tags since you created this thread (which clearly will not be removed), therefore what are you going to do next to try get all of the tags removed?

It seems likely very soon you will stop using this account because it has become useless for the reasons you intended to use it for and you will focus on the other accounts in your farm. Any comments?

I didn't buy this account, its my account from day one.
And I was out of station that's I didn't use my account & I was not aware that after a long time I will face this kind of issues.
28  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK 18th MAY 2024 re-scheduled on: May 07, 2024, 06:26:49 PM
This has all the signs of being a very close fight because of the excellent records both boxers accumulated over the years. I really hope it plays out in a very entertaining way.

There should be enough adrenalin flowing through their veins to ensure neither gets knocked out even one or both gets knocked down for a less than 10 seconds if they get caught out by a surprise punch. I think most commentators and analysts as well as the ordinary person probably thinks this will go the distance.

I agree, but I think it probably will go the distance. Usyk doesn't knock many people out and Tyson doesn't get knocked down easily (though lets ignore that last fight  Grin). I also don't have much faith in the judges. The Saudi's seem to be quite biased towards Fury so I hope Usyk gets a fair shot and their relationship with Fury doesn't cloud their judgement. If it's close I can see a draw especially since it's a two fight deal but if Usyk is dominating and Fury wins or it's a draw there will be outrage.
29  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Sportsbet.io - A Case of Selective Withdrawal Approval and Dubious Practices on: May 07, 2024, 06:08:49 PM
I'd like to acknowledge Steve from Sportsbet.io for his efforts in addressing my withdrawal issues. While it's clear he has done what he can, unfortunately, he doesn't have the authority to overturn decisions made by the security and safety team. Thanks, Steve, for your assistance throughout this process. It's a tough situation, but your effort hasn't gone unnoticed.
I have gone through the four posts you have made and noted there are far too many parts of the story/situation that could be elaborated on but you never did. If the story was presented in full, I think there would not have been some of the questions that come to mind now.

Did you use a VPN? Are you located in one part of the world but used an IP address for another to breach the Terms and Conditions you willingly accepted when you registered at Sportsbet?

You never explained your side of the story in full and now with the link for UK based (potential) customers, you have given the impression you are from the UK but it raised more questions because UK residents are not allowed to use the website.

About the case, have you done the KYC verification or did you refuse it?
I am not stating there is something untoward on his part but the OP should have mentioned that at the first opportunity in order to be open, clear, concise and honest. If he had presented a comprehensive review of the version of events as he saw them unfold questions about KYC, AML, VPN and his location would not need to asked as that information would already have been put out there.

The next question is why would the OP omit key information in his complaint?
30  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2023/2024 on: May 07, 2024, 03:30:33 PM
Here are the most recent results:

Monday 6th May
Crystal Palace 4-0 Manchester United

Sunday 5th May
Brighton and Hove Albion 1-0 Aston Villa
Chelsea 5-0 West Ham United
Liverpool 4-2 Tottenham Hotspur

Congrats to Ipswich Town!  Smiley  They are the 2nd team promoting to the PL.
Is is never an easy task for any team to have back to back promotions from League One to the Championship and then from the Championship to the Premier League. Regardless of which team you support you have to look at the actual achievement and give full credit and respect to them. Both the management team and the players deserve the accolades.

By being Head Coach, without a doubt Kieran McKenna is the man that has masterminded the success behind Ipswich Town. Along with the players, his hard work should definitely be recognised.

31  Economy / Reputation / Re: How to remove negative trust from my account? on: May 07, 2024, 06:42:39 AM
I don't know why my bitcointalk account got negative trust?

How to remove negative trust from my account?
Well that seems very difficult to believe because your trust clearly explains why you received it. Also, if you ever create a thread for any reason at least try to post a little more than just 9 words when you are either questioning or querying something.

Beyond that, before you created this thread did you send a PM to the member in question to tell him: "I don't know why my bitcointalk account got negative trust? How to remove negative trust from my account?"

Thanks...
I didn't understand ban evasion, I'm using my this I'd with my own Facebook & Twitter accounts.
I didn't buy my these accounts from someone.
We have seen other members trying in vain using one last opportunity to try to save an account that will not have tags reversed before the puppeteer gives up and decides to concentrate on his other accounts.

Now that you have highlighted this issue and brought it to the attention of a wider audience, nobody will take you seriously.
32  Economy / Reputation / Re: There is an abuse of merit on: May 06, 2024, 10:01:12 AM
Whenever a newbie comes along and almost immediately starts posting in a manner to arouse suspicion they are an alt-account or part of an account farm, they should not be given the benefit of the doubt as they almost always have ulterior motives.

The OP managed to get 25 merits for creating this thread on 25th February 2024 but by the time 15th April 2024 arrived, it was his last login because he knew the game was up and the first of the negative tags were placed. Quite clearly, the OP is now concentrating on the accounts in their farm as he has given up on the Elissa~sH account.

33  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2023/2024 on: May 04, 2024, 08:09:28 PM
These are the results of the games played today:

Arsenal 3-0 Bournemouth
Brentford 0-0 Fulham
Burnley 1-4 Newcastle United
Sheffield United 1-3 Nottingham Forest
Manchester City 5-1 Wolverhampton Wanderers

After Arsenal won their early kick-off game 3-0, all the pressure was on Manchester City to win their game to keep up and they did not disappoint with a 5-1 win over Wolves.

At the bottom of the table, Nottingham Forest came from a goal down away at Sheffield United to win 1-3 and they now are three points clear of the relegation zone and took a massive step towards safety.

34  Economy / Reputation / Re: Do you know enough of what you have been told? on: May 04, 2024, 05:07:53 PM
If the purpose of creating this thread was in order to try to use some sort of flawed analytical angle as a misdirection to try to have any of the exclusions reversed then the OP will most probably not achieve the objective.

What cannot be overlooked is the fact he had even more trust exclusions this week and that was after he posted screenshots above. He could further alienate even more members if he does not at the very least accept his allegation about a conspiracy circulating in PMs was totally false.

The picture that the OP is trying to paint that icopress is capable of deceiving a lot of forumers about the true nature of [banned mixer], I don't believe it. And that he can manipulate them by sending them PMs, either himself or through another member, I don't believe it either. I already said in the other thread that I didn't receive any PMs, as did other forumers who said the same, and if they were sent to some, the forumers who received them are old enough to know whether to act accordingly or not.

What I see here is someone who has earned a lot of distrusts and instead of assuming that it is because of something he has done wrong, he perseveres in his mistake.

Does anyone think that with this thread the OP is going to get anyone to reverse his decision to exclude him? I think the opposite, if anything it will get more people to exclude him.

35  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥🔥🔥 BC.GAME - CASINO AND SPORTSBOOK | $1,000 GIVEAWAY LIVE! 🔥🔥🔥 on: May 04, 2024, 03:23:01 PM
Thank you for the explanation, I presumed it was an ongoing or recent process but did not go back in the pages to check as it could have been a time consuming process while I am concentrating on the Premier League football games. In the end, there are terms and conditions that exist on every casino/gaming website. If someone believes the rules are unfair then they should leave that website and find an alternative.

I do hope he manages to get past the stumbling blocks and manages to both withdraw and close his account (if that is what he wants to do).

I have not checked their Terms and Conditions about why they would like KYC to be sent before closing an account

BCGAME asked him to complete KYC verification, but he couldn't finish it. So, he asked them to lock his account and give him the balance, which led to the rejection. If he had asked to close his account and withdraw the balance before his account was flagged, it would have been different. But because they asked for KYC before his request, he'd have to comply with it.

I do not know about what happened in your case therefore can you explain if they wrote to you to explain why they declined your documents?

He used his "driving license," which, according to live support, isn't accepted by BCGAME as a valid form of identification. This isn't just specific to his account; it applies to all accounts created. You can't use a permit or driving license for KYC; you'll need to provide a passport or a valid government issued ID, instead but @factor280 has none and thats what is dragging his case.

I have not checked their Terms and Conditions about why they would like KYC to be sent before closing an account but when customers usually register on online gaming websites or casinos they accept a whole range of conditions and many include the asking of KYC as and when they deem appropriate.

I do not know about what happened in your case therefore can you explain if they wrote to you to explain why they declined your documents?

I asked BC.Game to close my account and let me withdraw, they said they couldnt without kyc first. Been trying to verify, have sent all my documents, all of them coinciding since im a legit person obviously, and they havent been good enough to let me verify as of yet.
37  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2023/2024 on: May 04, 2024, 02:47:45 PM
The early kick-off game ended with a fantastic win for Arsenal but Manchester City will play in the late kick-off:

Arsenal 3-0 Bournemouth

Saka scored a penalty to give Arsenal the lead followed a goal from Trossard but Rice scored the third goal very late in to time added-on and in the process ensured Arsenal are sitting comfortably at the top of the Premier League table. They have played two games more and are four points ahead of second placed Manchester City but that lead could be cut to just one point this evening when Manchester City host Wolverhampton Wanderers.
38  Other / Off-topic / Re: Binance in a bit to tarnish Ronaldo's image on: May 04, 2024, 02:38:16 PM
The USA seems to be the only country where celebrities and promoters are legally being held responsible for accepting money to promote a business retrospectively after the business collapses or if the investments failed. In my opinion, this is unfair and will only add more concern to any celebrity, sportsperson or influencer if they honestly believed they were promoting a genuine business.

I don't think he did or his team.

What his manager probably told him that he'd earn money from that endorsement and it comes with an NFT of his and everyone will purchase it.

Many celebrities have got into trouble for being ignorant of what they're advertising because of the offer to them which pays hefty money.
39  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2023/2024 on: May 04, 2024, 10:18:44 AM
If Ipswich Town manage to get to the Premier League, it will mean back to back promotions for them and they were managed by Kieran McKenna (he was a first team coach at Manchester United before he took on the Ipswich Town job) and the feel around the club is their approach a brilliant one that allows younger players to flourish and senior players to support them.

I hope Ipswich Town manage to do it as based on their playing style they deserve it.

Yeah Leicester did it in only 1 season. There is a really huge squad value difference between them and nearly all the remaining teams though.  Tongue  But if it wasn't for that high effort they couldn't have done it this easy.

I really admire Ipswich also. Even a draw is going to be enough to secure the direct Premier League promotion. Squad value isn't always everything obviously. Theirs is only €50 million but they have had an incredible season.

Let's see which one in the play offs area will make it too. I'm wondering about Hull City's chance a lot. Since the chairman changed they have been on the rise. We are only 105 minutes away from the final matches.  Roll Eyes

When people decide to leave the forum they have reasons they might not want to share or elaborate on. Sometimes it opens up a new channel for discussion and it inadvertently acts as a diversion away from the fact a member is leaving. Even though someone has mentioned what they believe is the reason for your farewell, the fact you have not mentioned it is probably the correct course of action.

To my knowledge we did not have any interaction therefore we do not know each other but regardless of that I hope whatever you decide to do (whether it is a permanent goodbye or one that you could reflect on and make a return after a short hiatus), I wish you the best.
