1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stablecoins on Bitcoin blockchain, new crowd in announcement? on: Today at 06:24:07 AM
The beginning of stablecoins was on the Omni Layer, which was a Bitcoin transaction except that it represented USDT value, and many stopped using USDT on Bitcoin blockchain due to high transaction fees, so I do not think that returning again to the Bitcoin blockchain would be beneficial.

The report above talked about test transaction on the Lightning Network using Taproot Assets protocol, and therefore it is similar to L-USDT Liquid-based Tether, and its impact on increasing bitcoin fees will be low (Lightning Network transactions will increase, which require two onchain transactions).
2  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: List Of The Longest Forum Signature Campaign Above 100wk That Left/Still Active on: Today at 06:09:49 AM
Does this mean that it wasn't a manager that counted and processed the payments. And why do you think that nowadays campaign stopped the idea of automated payment?
In 2018 it was easy and fun. There were not many restrictions and merit system was in the early days. I was lucky because I joined CM as soon as I reached SR rank, so I imagine it was much easier in 2016 and 2014 as there were no standards for high-quality posts and the forum was the only place for these projects to advertise, so they did not care about the quality of the posts.

The only thing that everyone was afraid of was ignore lists and ban lists, where campaign managers prepare black lists[1] that prevent you from participating. If your name is not on those lists, your chance of earning is guaranteed.

These lists may be the reason why so many alt accounts are created. Grin

3  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Best way to protect your Bitcoins wallet on: Today at 05:58:14 AM
1, the best way to secure your keys is to combine cold and hot wallet uses so that only the cryptocurrency you need at the moment is in the connected wallet.
How will you combine cold and hot wallet? Because the moment your wallet is connected to the Internet, we cannot say that it is cold storage.

The only way for this to be acceptable is to create the private keys yourself, but in this case, why use an exchange, as centralized exchanges do not allow this.

3, some exchange provide institutional_level secure cold data storage for user's kes, but some critics advise against this method.

4  Other / Meta / Re: Wouldn't it be nice for edited posts to reflect on wherever it was quoted? on: Today at 05:48:18 AM
This feature may be abused. It is best that if text is quoted from the forum and modified, the color of the link changes to red. Then it will be easy to distinguish between the quote and the modified quote.
5  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Swap Cab on: May 23, 2024, 08:11:13 AM
I liked that you included the "Affilate system" option on the GitHub page and added it to your website page under "using it you are supporting my work"
I respect your experience, but please review ChangeHero's 5-star rating despite the many scam reports against them.
Dividing the list into P2P and Automatic separately would be better.

Other than that, all great, good job.
6  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: SwapTo.Cash - is your reliable partner in the world of cryptocurrencies! on: May 23, 2024, 07:54:36 AM

Quite unprofessional and frivolous. I also see that many pages on their site go to a blank page or have no content. A very bad way to introduce a business for the first time.
I already tagged @ex7.io but since SwapTo.Cash is not working let's wait what will happens.
7  Other / Meta / Re: Is this forum getting worse and worse? on: May 22, 2024, 10:06:38 AM
The answer to this question will be determined by new advertisers. If there is no interest in the forum, the value of the forum will certainly have declined.

So long as theymos continues paying the bills and keeping the lights on, the forum will remain the foremost repository for Bitcoin-related information; especially from a historical standpoint. Not to mention the plethora of luminaries and legends that have created accounts and posted here over the years.
So what will happen to the forum's reserves if there is no continuous development? +500 Bitcoin is enough to make the forum better.

I may ask him about this soon.
8  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: List Of The Longest Forum Signature Campaign Above 100wk That Left/Still Active on: May 22, 2024, 09:53:11 AM
In the past, most signature campaigns were paid in Bitcoin, and we did not hear about paying for $ per post until after 2020, so it is difficult to guess how much they pay, but few campaigns exceeded 100 weeks and 50 BTC.
Bitmixer was the longest campaign that decided to voluntarily stop , and some of the campaigns had automated payment so that payment was made for each post and not weekly.
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Merit] Share your best local board posts/topics on: May 21, 2024, 09:26:01 AM
Although this is not a discussion thread but it's good to see that this thread is back again. However you are doing well to distribute merits to unmerited posts that worth meriting. The new rules looks good because there is another thread by fillippone that allows only 5 posts links to be submitted. like this one.
Yes, tracking 10 posts is tiring my eyes out.
Entries must be from local board only.

12  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: SwapTo.Cash - is your reliable partner in the world of cryptocurrencies! on: May 21, 2024, 07:34:56 AM
1282 BTC Bitcoin as a reserve, in addition to hundreds of thousands of cryptocurrencies, makes you a medium or highly liquid platform, and a platform like this will have a much better UI than the current interface. Therefore, can you sign a message with the reserves or at least prove that you have a balance of 1282 BTC?  Cheesy
I monitored the reserves for more than 30 minutes and did not see any change in any of them, this indicates very low liquidity.
13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Selling Bitcoin for Real Estate on: May 21, 2024, 06:53:40 AM
Do not take tax advice from an online forum. It is better to ask an accountant or tax specialist, but in general
In Florida, there is no state income tax, so the tax you will pay is federal tax, and this tax varies from 0% and 20% if you own Bitcoin for less than a year, or between 10% and 37% for more than a year, and therefore the maximum amount you will pay is 37%. The least is zero.
14  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I don't hold BTC for ATH on: May 20, 2024, 07:53:45 AM
It is true that Bitcoin has value in itself and for this reason its value will not be zero, especially with people like you who may not want to sell no matter the price, but also owning more Bitcoin is a good thing and it is something I am trying to achieve by selling Bitcoin at the $120,000 levels and buying again at the $70,000.
whoever sells at ATH may have a good reason such as buying more Bitcoin
15  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: CEX P2P under Governments Attack, let's Embrace DEX P2P on: May 20, 2024, 07:43:35 AM
Has a P2P exchanges war really started? I thought the government was tracking mixers or any tool used to enhance privacy, not P2P exchanges, as some of these services are still working.

if the government decides to consider them illegal, they will most likely arrest the developers, so the developers must be anonymous and use code hosting services away from GitHub. Then managing an entire node or all of the communication through Tor, and the problem that is always repeated will be liquidity.
16  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How you trade in uncertain times? on: May 19, 2024, 12:24:19 PM
Traders' range is usually narrow in a day or 10 days at most, so fluctuations in such a period are limited, unlike investors who are looking for a wider range. Therefore, traders are not looking for solutions to protect their investments, but rather how to take advantage of fluctuations to increase the liquidity available to them.
17  Other / Meta / Re: Is selling a script of a service that was taken down by Law Enforcement Ok? on: May 19, 2024, 07:38:35 AM
The topic has already been deleted. Selling such scripts will be permitted if the service is legal and intellectual copyright allow it. Otherwise, the topic will be deleted.
18  Economy / Reputation / Re: QS - 10 years on the forum on: May 18, 2024, 05:06:35 PM
Wow, I remember this topic was self-moderated, how did you do it?

Congratulations,10 years is not an easy matter, especially since most of those interested in the forum lose their enthusiasm after 2 halvings, or an average of 8 years. The forum has changed a lot since I joined.
19  Other / Meta / Re: What is the usages of MEMBERS option ? on: May 18, 2024, 09:58:01 AM

You can search with different options.

Quote
Search by email address
Search by messenger nickname
Search by position
Search by name
Search by website
In fact, you cannot. You can only search by position and name. Some options, such as searching by email, were frozen a while ago because some old accounts used temporary email addresses and it was easy to hack them using this method.

I use it to add members to my white list, especially since the username or link to the account is often not mentioned.
20  Local / العربية (Arabic) / Re: تنقل محافظ Bitcoin الحوت 61 مليون دولار من BTC بعد عقد on: May 18, 2024, 09:29:58 AM
