41  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: [List] Open-source Lightning wallets on: April 28, 2024, 08:18:35 AM
That list has not been updated since 2020, and I do not have time to update it. If there is someone who has time and can continue to update it, I will support him. I will lock this topic within 48 hours.
42  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Sr Memeber defaulted 35$ Loan [Heartilly] on: April 27, 2024, 11:02:18 AM

It really is stupid to waste an account you could actually earn good money from after doing some good posts and getting into a sig campaign.
This stupidity is sometimes very hard to see.
account was created before 2018 and if you have an account farm of these accounts and were unable to join the signature campaigns, then the value of the account will be less than $60.
43  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: We should not rely on centralized privacy providers on: April 27, 2024, 10:58:01 AM
Privacy means caution and learning, as using Monero as a bridge to break the connection between your inputs and outputs. using a P2P exchange with Tor will be sufficient, but privacy is much deeper than that. If you browse randomly, use block explorers to check your addresses, closed source wallets, SPV wallets without Tor. The amount you paid to break the link between your inputs and outputs will not help you in enhancing your privacy.
44  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is day by day more popular in middle East. on: April 27, 2024, 10:43:33 AM
Did you mean the tweet of Elon Musk in last bull run likely in 2020 or 2021?
Yes, majority here use Twitter, and Elon Musk contributed to introducing Bitcoin.

Free tax is very good policy to attract foreigners to Middle East to live there or run their companies there. Many Bitcoin and blockchain conferences hosted in Middle East nations recent years.
It is not accurate, all activities take place in the free zone, but the number of services that accept Bitcoin is very limited.

1 - 3 bitcoins is too much with many people and if any person can have 1 to 3 bitcoins in their non custodial wallets, they have a fortune for future.
This was in 2021, and the amount was in the range of $50,000 to $100,000.

Apart from the mistake others pointed out, you should remember that just because the dictatorship ruling over UAE is rich, it doesn't mean the small population of that region (about a million) is also rich enough to make an investment let alone invest in something like bitcoin.
I also do not agree with the foreign policy of our country and I think it must change, but the average salaries here range from 5k USD to 40k per month, and assuming that taxes are zero and that you can save 20%, this means saving is 1k to 8k per month. The problem is that the main investment In real estate, it is more profitable and you can get loans (without interest), so investing in Bitcoin is rarely.
45  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam warning - Yomix mixer, turned into an exit scam! on: April 27, 2024, 10:14:13 AM

Hey dkbit98, on the other forum you say the only positive they had was mine. I don't know if it's a matter of your custom trust list but julerz12 is on DT2 and had also left positive feedback for them. Maybe someone should let him know about this too.
Should previous positive trust be removed if scam occurs?
trust feedback was

Good lads. Despite only being able to reimburse $1347 out of the $4320 for the hacked funds, they absolved me of the remaining debts.

It was not about using mixing service, so I think @julerz12 should add a negative trust and leave the old one.
For example @yogg still have +11 positive trust
46  Economy / Reputation / Re: BitcoinGirl.Club: How a condescending attitude equates to trust exclusion on: April 27, 2024, 10:01:39 AM
we all value privacy and most of us are against banning mixers, but is the reason for not trusting @BitcoinGirl.Club because he made it clear that @jambler was a mixer? Or did I miss something?

I wanted to check latest updated list ----> http://loyce.club/trust/2024-04-27_Sat_05.07h/662330.html  but I get (sorry, that page is missing.) @LoyceV you need to make some updates.

@BitcoinGirl.Club you need to check the trust list of accounts that distrusted you. If they have a changing distrust list, there is no need to ask them, and if it is them first-timer, it is better to ask them in PM. Depending on their reasons, you can decide to lock topic or not.

Briefly:

 - I still trust @BitcoinGirl.Club, and if there is a reason not to trust him, it is best to list it below so I can remove him.
 - You should not distrust @BitcoinGirl.Club because he made it clear that jambler is a mixer.
 - I still trust @icopress and I do not see that he forced others to distrust @BitcoinGirl.Club.
 - I didn't like the way @icopress explained[1] what happened.

Friends, the campaign is likely to be suspended soon, for this you can thank Royce, BitcoinGirl.Club and hugeblack, who have been working hard over the past few days to present Jambler as a mixer that provides services to ordinary users .. which is not true.
47  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is day by day more popular in middle East. on: April 26, 2024, 03:18:08 AM
United Arab Emirates leads the Middle East in crypto adoption, with 72% of local users investing in Bitcoin
I am from the United Arab Emirates and the truth is that there is not much interest in Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies. In my small community, less than 1% of those I know have invested in Bitcoin, most of them after Elon Musk’s tweets.
Here there are no taxes and it is easy to establish a company, especially in the field of real estate and contracting. You can buy an apartment or start a small business and you will get a good return on investment, so there is no interest in Bitcoin.
Most investors buy between 1-3 bitcoins and leave them as a long-term investment, and few are interested in mining or trading.
48  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: YoMix Service Status on: April 26, 2024, 03:09:15 AM
They have not logged in since JAN, so supporting flag is the most important, as if any directed to the forum, a warning will appear to him, but I doubt that the forum will appear first, especially with the word filtering.

It is unfortunate to see that they have turned to scam, but action must be taken against them because I believe that some will try to use the mixer, considering that they have trusted them in the past.
50  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: I miss Faucets on: April 25, 2024, 08:04:06 AM
There are many free airdrops and altcoins worth less than $100, yet no one wants to invest in them.
If you go back to the past, you will definitely not buy Bitcoin. Therefore, forget the past and focus on what is coming, as Bitcoin may reach the price of $400,000.
51  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Samourai Wallet seized by the feds on: April 25, 2024, 07:38:58 AM
I can still access https://docs.samourai.io/
Privacy app developers should remain anonymous.

But we also have to note that they were the ones who put themselves in the sights of the authorities:

I think this was a stupid move, especially since domain and servers were in Iceland, which gave governments a compelling reason to look behind them.

I wonder if they had cooperated with Chainalysis or any blockchain analysis service, would the same charges have been brought against them? Or is the definition of privacy limited to those who appear to government agencies?

Unfortunately, negative trust means that you will not be able to get your money back, especially since I think it is difficult for a campaign manager to accept @Heartilly, but I hope you will be able to get your money back.
53  Other / Meta / Re: Is Samourai wallet now banned from Bitcointalk? on: April 25, 2024, 06:43:38 AM
Theymos probably opened a Pandora's box when he banned mixers from bitcointalk forum, because US/EU officials can now call anything to be a ''mixer'' including bitcoin wallets Tongue
Yet A cryptocurrency mixing service is not necessarily illegal. It is an online service that allows users to disguise the origin and destination of cryptocurrencies.
Even if the wallets are classified as mixers, they are legal.

Is Samourai wallet now banned from Bitcointalk? No, I can type https://chipmixer.com/ and http://sinbad.io/ without getting banned.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why'AltCoin and related projects mostly been promoted by lower rank memebership? on: April 24, 2024, 10:01:39 AM
Or are the projects just manipulations of having those lower rank accounts active and introduced specifically for meme speculations?
Both are possible, but if the project is unable to run a promotional campaign that worth thousands of dollars, it cannot promise investors millions of dollars.
If there is a project that tells you that you will become rich, and yet its spending on promotional campaigns is very low, this is a sufficient negative sign to ignore investing in it.
55  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin halving is coming, what should we do? on: April 24, 2024, 09:46:54 AM
Bitcoin fee went too high after halving [1]. The next halving will be in 2028 and as far as current halving is concerned it's effects will be seen after a while. What we saw from previous halving's is that price goes up but not immediately.
This is what is expected, but will the price rise at the same expected rates or will there be something new this time?
The problem with high fees is that they make the effect of halving limited and thus the possibility of price increases being less.
56  Other / Meta / Re: [theymos] Bug with Merit (for sending) on: April 24, 2024, 09:28:56 AM
We cannot describe it as a bug, since the definition of a bug is an unexpected problem when execution, and since the results here are correct and expected, it is the way the code is executed.

It is better give an error message if sending box contain anything other than numbers, but what happens is that the first numbers are executed and the following values are ignored.

Seems like it just ignores everything that isn't a number, which feels like the ideal behavior.
I think it ignores anything after the number if it is not a number, since 1~.0 is 1, not 10, and so on.
57  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade while you sleep with Tradetomato on: April 24, 2024, 09:02:12 AM
I do not like Connect to all your crypto services and track your financial activities in one place, even if the API permissions are restricted and do not include withdrawal permissions, but without making the service open source, this is a big risk, especially since we are talking about tracking activities.

Is there a more explanation of the algorithms? https://www.tradetomato.com/algorithms did not give more details.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on Worldcoin? on: April 22, 2024, 03:42:23 AM
Sam Altman does not have the same impact as Elon Musk, and there is no AIcoin that can be pumped like what happened with Dogecoin, so do not place too much hope on such events.
It is true that the artificial intelligence revolution has been a hot topic over the past months, but we have not seen a real use for these tokens, and their number and frequency as utility tokens will make investors skeptical about investing.

My base scenario behind my worldcoin purchase: Elon and sam altman were kind of friends when they were in OpenAI. They were attending programmes together sometimes, basically elon decided to fund openAI because of him. Also even though sam was in openai team, elon made a tour for sam in SpaceX.
Whoever tries to convince you of this is selling dreams to you. Stop buying shitcoins
59  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't be confused, bitcoin halving doesn't translate into bitcoin All time high on: April 22, 2024, 03:31:02 AM
Current fees are so high that the effect of halving has not yet appeared. In the last 200 blocks, the average subsidy + fees per block was about 4-6 bitcoins, while in the past it was 7-8 bitcoins.

I think we need to wait until mempool dump and fees decreases to start saying that Bitcoin halving has started and then we have to wait several months to see its actual effect.
60  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Share your previous experience that you got after bitcoin halving. on: April 22, 2024, 03:15:07 AM
In my experience after the price halves to scare investors (will be a bear trap) then after 2/3 months the market starts going up (halving bull run), which lasts 9 months or 10 months.
Historical data says that each cycle is unique and has different conditions from the previous one. Therefore, do not expect a change to occur within 4 months. Perhaps the price explosion will be rapid, such that it occurs before the end of the year, or it may be slow, such that it extends to 2026, but in any case, we are supposed to break $100,000 by 2025. It is best to avoid making investment plans for a price above $140,000 if you want short-term investment.
