The block reward for Ethereum is 2.91 in WTM. The commonly accepted value is 3, but I can see where 2.91 is from because there's a chance to mine the uncle and get the lowered reward. However, those two things combined undervalues the block reward, no? By all accounts, the inclusion of uncle rewards should NOT be considered a penalty - and the reason this isn't properly accounted for is because the block time with or without uncles is the same. What 2.91 really is is 'what is the average reward given that you mine a block or uncle?'. But that figure can't be simply multiplied into the block time.
Without uncles you would have orphans, that would be the real penalty. ETH is not mineable anymore.

Thank you. Here are the hash rates I'm currently getting. I am mining without regard for power consumption. If you're calculating hash rates for efficiency you might be close to right on. Indeed for kaspa we went for efficient settings. Will probably update for more power when mining starts to be more profitable again. Thanks for the values.

@fredeq Would you add the RTX 3050, please? Also, the hashrates for Kheavyhash are way low. For mining with the lastest lolminer
will look into both What values we have for 3050 can be found here https://whattomine.com/gpus/73-nvidia-geforce-rtx-3050If you want to use it for adapt on main page please add a custom gpu from your account section. (You can add custom gpus for free)

What's happening to WTM? Rate of BTC on top of page is a week old and not refreshing. And I think the profitability calculations of coins are off accordingly.
Are you going out of business and stopped maintaining the site?
Thank you for the BTC price notif, something is wrong with the price we get from binance. This would affect $ amounts of mining ofc.

Hello fredeq, I write to you to know if you can lend me some help with a subject I have, you see I am creating a website and for a column I need to calculate the benefit of mining 3 coins in particular, I need to know what formulas you apply to calculate the benefit of these currencies: RavenCoin (RVN), EtherumClassic (ETC) and Ergo (ERG). Being the person behind the whattomine website I thought it would be a good idea to come to you, but if you do not want or can not share such information do not worry, I will understand, anyway thank you.
Just use the json of those coins to calculate + include info that data is coming from wtm. https://whattomine.com/coins/234.json?hr=39.0&p=510.0&fee=0.0&cost=0.13&cost_currency=EUR&hcost=0.0&span_br=&span_d=24

New feature available for registered users - currency selection. At the moment all rates are calculated from BTC USD price. Accounts are free to register and use.

|
|
You cannot but you can copy it manually for each card.

There are no gpu jsons indeed.
The data from other endpoints should be enough.

Hi there,
I'm new to mining. I'm trying to understand the profit column on Whattomine. For Ethereum, it says $6.09 in profit per 24 hour period. How is that calculated? If a miner can get 2.97 GH/s by mining Ethereum, they are making $400/day. In this particular case, unless this miner is paying $393.91 in expenses/day they are making way more than $6.09/day.
So where does this $6.09 figure come from? What am I missing?
Thanks.
It comes from the hashrate you calculate with. Defaults on wtm calculate with 90Mh/s, not 2970Mh/s. Feel free to input your own.

I like the website, but is there any way to customize to remove Nicehash from the results table? You can't unselect it from the "Selected Exchanges" window. Other exchanges like Binance, Bittrex, etc are all selectable and can be removed, but Nicehash can not be removed.
Nicehash rows are more like coin entries than exchanges. We will be adding more settings to the accounts and NH config should also be there.

Its now possible to create your own GPU with custom values and reuse them with datasets. New feature is account based and shared between devices.
Datasets for now stay cookie (machine) based.

Hi fredeq, did contact you in Discord too. Is everything ok?
Everything is fine, created coin addition request but it has to be researched first.
