i am only getting 48.76MS/S with 3 R9 280x vaporx cards

pls advice how to increase hash rate

These are normal values, 280x will keep hashing slower and slower.

Its a very good site. I just wish they would add some more hardware not just the 2 I know you can custom edit it but its much easier if it had more GPUs to pick. Preferable an auto detect is best. They also really need to add new coins. Other then those two things they run a great and u helpful site.

That is a good idea, but probably too much effort to grab. I like the select a card and compare feature you mentioned. Might help someone decide what card they want.

They would have to collect data or get data about the GPUs from wiki and compare the hash rates with other uses of similar setups and then add them for each card. Even if they just go to wiki and take those ita better then nothing. Not too much work.

Are you speaking about something more complex than a simple "Input hashrates for X number of Y card" ?
More GPUs will be coming, but I prefer to test them myself. GPU lists are full of weird hashrate reports from private miners or missing information about a serious OC on the card.
Values on whattomine are for stock settings, without any bios mods, with public miner.

Seems like the bottom line text is not updated
Currently I see like below.

Last update at 2016-07-09 16:55:53 UTC

Maybe some bug?

Indeed a small bug on this one, reading timestamp from wrong object, thanks Wink

BTW I have updated some multipliers for 280x and now you can define a number of cards.
380 values coming soon, then something new from nvidia.
584  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v7.1 (Windows/Linux) on: September 28, 2016, 07:14:08 PM
bad issue with SSH linux strikes again Sad

To remind: When I want to end/break/kill screen session miner don't want to hear me Tongue
Today I noticed that then GPU hangs and miner restart info..
In previous versions everything was OK...

How can I reproduce this issue?

I don't know if it was any  backend changes,  but V 7.1 introduce colors.  There is no big problem for me now, because I have only one linux rig, but if I will make more in the future.. or you could add "on the run" pool management in any future realease Wink

Oh yes, live pool switch please  Cheesy
585  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v7.1 (Windows/Linux) on: September 28, 2016, 06:16:04 AM
If i run in claymore 7.1 my HD 7990 i have only 36 Mhs ... If i run on ethproxy+ethminer i have 50 mhs why this? Thanks
Because claymore reports the hash rate accurately.

I dont think this is the exactly problem ... There are other question i think ... Ethminer show costant 50 mhs and The HD 7990 working fine ... Whit ckaymore this card work many many to hard... And i cant find what is the problem ... And hashrate in solo or dual mode its equal for this GPU near 17+17 ... On ethminer show 50 or 25+25 mhs ...  Huh

I am telling you that is EXACTLY the problem. It is a normal speed for hd 7990, it got slower over time mining ETH due to the dag file size increase. I had one and it had the exact same speed. You can use ethminer and see 50mh if it makes you feel better.

Void is correct. Your card is basically (2x)7970 and this card used to do 25, but now is doing 17 or less.
The question you should be asking is "Why ethminer shows incorrect 50 hashrate for my 7990" Wink

So this runs a custom OS?
Or linux and there is no card limit under linux?

I have delisted the coin for now, cause the difficulty is looking like network has forked.
This or noone is mining Tongue

How do I add commands in the .json file ? I want to add the command that allows me to use 100% gpu
the GPU sync and the GPU max allowcation.

Not sure how those commands are connected with .json file, maybe you meant .bat file?
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

Originally the multipliers were almost the same for all AMD cards, thats why button working as an `adapt` feature was added.
The idea was that you can input a scrypt hashrate of your AMD rig (and everyone knew scrypt values of their rigs back in the day) and see how would it perform in other algorithms.
This was later moved to work from X11 rates and was still a nice thing.

Now I admit it has lost its value and should be changed to multiple card types + quantities selector.
Especially that X11 and alike are no longer in the interest of the miners.
Long term plan is to provide values for 380, 470, 480, 970, 1060 and 1070.

I am curious though, what new coins would you like to see?
Always waiting for new coins suggestions at http://www.whattomine.com/contacts/new
Btw lbry is not added to GPU section yet, but you can calculate it here http://www.whattomine.com/coins/164-lbc-lbry

594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How will this change the world of mining?? GTX 1080 / 1070 on: August 10, 2016, 07:02:25 AM
Well I just realized what a fucked up bitch these nvidia voltage regulations are.

Underclocking the GPU core increases the power that you need because the driver feeds the chip a higher voltage. Therefore its useful with the current genoil miner to increase the gpu core speed to save some power( Roll Eyes), because the mining gpu speed is anyway locked at 1620 (atleast for my card) and reduce the power limit to 50%.

Core Clock -400 -> Voltage 1.043 V -> 77% TDP = 146 W
Core Clock +150 -> Voltage 0,76 V -> 54% TDP = 102 W

Have fun, it's really that retarded..

fyi

Sounds a bit crazy  Wink Guess I would check this card on another computer, different drivers.
I could see the logic here if it happened in some pre-set ranges.
Hard to believe voltage always goes down if you overclock. Have you checked this with some step values, lets say by 10?

is there a way to use 6 cards with integrated graphics? i thought that a 16x16 riser was needed for the main card as well if you wanted to use 6, but i now have seen 16x1 riser with display plugged into card?

AMD cards generally dont like it, when either Intel or Nvidia is the main card initialized at login.
It is possible to run your main card on 16x1, but honestly I dont like the setup, had some troubles with it in the past.
Personally I use 16x16 for a main card (AMD in priority if mixed rig).

Anyone got their hands on rx470?
This card has the same memory bandwidth as 480, smaller TPD and costs less.

Edit: Looks like sp already did some tests 24Mhash per 470@110W

Heya,

It is, you can press calculate or defaults to see what kind of params are used.
For example this would return only X11 coins:
http://tinyurl.com/WTM-X11

Keep in mind that X11 hashrate is required to be passed at the moment, but you can filter them out by removing `x11f=true`

I know that it is not a pool sub - but it is much faster to get an answer here

I mine dual ETC+SC with CDM

My pool is nanopool. I'm getting about two time less estimations on nanopool (ETC and 25% less of SIA) compared with https://www.whattomine.com calculator

My rates are 118MHs - ETC, 2300MHs - SC. Luck is OK

1) Nanopool Estimations
ETC - 1.826 per day
SIA - 4,786.902 per day

2) Calculator
ETC - 3.938171 per day
SIA - 6,420.437005 per day

Is it known issue, smth wrong with their stats or anything else?

ETH and SIA calculations are pretty much ok, for ETH I was getting best results on Dwarfpool.
For now ETC network is extremely volatile with some pool disconnects, orphans and stales. It will sort out in time for sure.

Your "flatline" happens for core clock 1696, notice that when its bumpy the clock is at 1835.
So my idea is that on a constant(unlimited)1835 you would have an even greater hashrate, but driver is hitting OC / OV limit and keeps throttling the card to keep it in limits.

It might be a driver issue that it keeps switching between those two "modes", or you are just at a boundary of two boost modes.
Anyway, to force the flatline I would force the constant 1696 clock, or raise the power limit to not throttle the card at 1835.

I'm pretty sure the 1696 was just chance of when I hit printscreen. I had seen the clock higher moments before (I think, I'll verify next time it happens). Besides, the card's baseclock is 1695, so it frequently jumps up with 125OC and then briefly down to that level. Higher power just adds tons of heat (temp quickly runs up to toward 80 and fan revs up too for very minor gain in hash). 100% power never comes close to the efficiency and heat readings I'm getting at 81% power, +125OC, auto fan, and the weird "flatline" thing. It's so strange. Two different cards, two different manufacturers did this. The MSI FE would get up to 85 degrees or higher when it happened, so I sent it back. With the gigabyte it's great, the card runs so cool, but I can't figure out how to make it stay in "flatline" mode, or if it's even possible. Was hoping to trouble shoot by finding out if anyone else had experienced this. Maybe someone has.

Hmm I thought that yellow core clock line shows that hashrate has been stable for long period of time.
Now I realize that it keeps jumping, but is not reflected on the clock graph? (1500 mark is at the same place on both screens).
