1  Economy / Reputation / Re: fake bounty campaign on: June 21, 2024, 11:49:02 PM
The question I have now is; what do they stand to gain? At first I thought maybe they created the thread to get some referrals (because Blum is running some kind of campaign on telegram) but after going through all the social media links I noticed that no one had any referral code attached and they all linked to the main account - so if they successfully get users to participate and promote the project what then would they gain at the end; assuming truly the project devs are not behind this promotion.
Social Engineering, maybe? So that they can attempt to hack accounts associated with the users now that they that the potential victims are into crypto.
I also see an unrelated instagram account, maybe the target could also be to get more followers from the stupid bounty bots. Imagine even after the warning, the bots are still posting their proof of authentications  Grin
2  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Non-KYC to KYC BTC Move on: June 21, 2024, 11:18:33 PM
There's no better option than using that very exchange BisQ. Depending on how much you want to exchange, you might maybe face a challenge of low liquidity. The other option is robotsats if you completely don't want anything to do with KYC

I understand that Haveno (Decentralized exchange for Monero to fiat transactions) has been launched. I have not yet used the platform, so I don't know how good it is, but another way would to swap some of the BTC for monero and then use Haveno to trade it for Fiat.
3  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Current Market Price on: June 21, 2024, 10:43:49 PM
Which time frame are you basing on? 6 hours, daily, or weekly?

On a daily, it seems close to what you stated. The previous bounce back in May was from the $56K region, forming some sort of support though it is yet to be tested again, let's also not forget the strong resistance that has formed in the $72k - 73K region since March this year. Going past it will require some very serious uptrend momentum.
4  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🏆 GOSUBETTING 🏆 THE ULTIMATE BITCOIN BETTING GUIDE ⚽🏀⚾🏈🎮🎰📈 on: June 20, 2024, 11:45:22 PM
It`s actually not offline and the issues arenīt related to server load or anything like that - there seem to be network issues as many people can use it with no issues at all while others face crazy lag (or arenīt even able to connect). Sad
I did face some lag earlier on, but it would eventually load.

I guess it's wise to make predication early enough to avoid that last minute disappointment. The challenge already has 91 participants. I guess I shall soon hit the 100 mark.

Meanwhile, the match day 2 games that end in draws have not been doing me good so far  Grin
5  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Title: What makes a crypto exchange popular? on: June 20, 2024, 10:58:34 PM
Clearly it's mostly about marketing and trying as much as possible to be innovative, for example of Binance.
When the service had launched, there were a lot of Bonus promotions, including juicy affiliate programs. The launch of BNB ICO and its success was also very crucial. Binance was the first crypto exchange to innovate most of the new exciting products and most of the other exchanges were just copy cats.

You will be shocked but so many people under look critical features such as security, KYC, support etc
6  Economy / Reputation / Re: Today 19 June Bestchange turns 17 years old wow! on: June 20, 2024, 10:22:02 PM
Was there any other bitcointalk account or they first registered as Best_Change in 2017 and Best.Change in 2018?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1073450
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1978649
They probably introduced themselves here around the time Bitcoin and the ICOs started marking headlines world over.

Congratulations to Bestchange and I am surprised that the domain is older than bitcoin.
Maybe because money changing or exchange was also something popular on the Internet at the time. I just wonder if they first launched in Russian or just moved into the Russian market later. For some reason, there seem to be way so may exchangers originating from Russian vs the rest of the world.
7  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 📝[Discussion topic] Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns📝 on: June 20, 2024, 10:04:11 PM
With the help of campaign managers, bitcointalk will be more active if they bring back the old way of accepting participants, like accepting even jr. member ranks. Most campaigns now only accept Hero to Legendary Members. I think Jr. Members rank is okay with the payment even if it is only $10 per week or less. This would also help the campaign and save some funds. But assume high amount of spam post once this once is implemented.
The truth is, due to the ICO boom, there were so many signature campaigns both that would pay in Bitcoin and altcoins (ICOs) thus so many opportunities. This gave an opportunity for even Jr Members to participating ICO signature campaigns, which were also so well rewarding most of the time in that Bull run.

After that period, the ICO bounties became less lucrative and people switched to Bitcoin paying signature campaigns. There was an influx of high ranking users and with the few campaigns left, Most CMs resorted to accepting only Sr Member ranks and above. It's just about demand and supply and the service being advertised trying to get the best out of what they pay for advertising.

9  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: My DCA Wallet - Organize your crypto purchases and sales on: June 19, 2024, 11:50:08 PM
This platform is not dedicated to making direct purchases. It is designed to manage your investment on all your exchanges or wallets.
The goal is to group all the statistics in one place. This avoids having incomprehensible Excel files.
In other words, it's a portfolio manager of sorts?

I think using "DCA wallet" was a little confusing. That's why I thought one could purchase coins through it. I also saw an Option to buy some altcoin through it and s deposit address. I am not sure about the purpose of that. I think your services needs more documentations such as Help guides, FAQ etc
10  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who are Market Makers in your opinion? on: June 19, 2024, 11:37:30 PM
Once you use a limit order when buying or selling a certain trading pair, you become a market marker in that particular trading pair. So any trader can do that so long as the order size is above the minimum limit. Some exchanges have a minimum of 10 USDT, others have a minimum order size limit of 5 USDT. So it also depends on an exchange.
11  Economy / Reputation / Re: need a solution for the bad trust points on: June 19, 2024, 11:33:15 PM
Im really happy now for real !!!
I doubt. You seem sad and miserable

Legendary member you never cease to amaze me !! making fun and arguing about the reason and forgetting to write a solution !! just to talk down on new members
this forum really something with you guys around
I mean, look at all your previous loan requests (scam attempts). Why would you expect forum members to be polite to you? You are not a genuine new member but rather a potential scammer. In the real world, you could easily get mobbed.
12  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Please save yourself the time and money and do not use tower.bet on: June 19, 2024, 10:58:42 PM

13  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Freewallet.org SCAM accusations - a compilation on: June 19, 2024, 10:41:26 PM
Yes it's a bit suspicious because they contradict themselves on the same page, at the top they say "Rest assured, your personal information will not be shared" and at the bottom they say "Do not include any personal information, such as your name, email address, and contact details" Huh!!!

As you said, everyone understands “personal information” to mean information such as phone numbers, email addresses, or names!!!

Frankly, I don't know. Either they are lying or they do not know what they are saying because this is a clear contradiction.
I haven't submitted any review using the site yet, but If I understand well, I think they discourage people from including their personal detail in the review description area. Now, once someone proceeds by submitting the review, they will be asked to enter their phone number or email address to "curb" spam. Maybe that's what they meant based on stafstor's findings.
14  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: 👣 BitList.co - Mixers ' Exchanges ' Services ' Casinos (Beta). on: June 18, 2024, 11:52:17 PM
But you're not supposed to use Robosats in clearnet. They even went as far as to discourage people from using it when you open it in the browser.
I just stumbled across another part of the website, and I think they are trying to do better - https://learn.robosats.com, which loads OK and has valuable information about Robosats. It seems they intentionally disabled it from loading in normal browsers. When you visit the same domain using Tor browser, you are automatically redirected to the official onion link.
15  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Weighing the Pros and Cons: Perpetual Trading on CEX & DEX on: June 18, 2024, 11:35:48 PM
I don't know what security you are talking about. I have seen "Decentralized" platforms get hacked. Those exchanges are not 100% decentralized. The sad truth is that when it comes to Perpetual trading. Liquidity and the speed of execution of an order are very important, which centralized exchanges perform in much better their counterparts.

You also forgot to talk about on chain fees which can prove to be so high as compared to the trading fees in Centralized exchanges especially with chains such as Ethereum
16  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Freewallet.org SCAM accusations - a compilation on: June 18, 2024, 10:57:10 PM
There is no need for your phone number. The review does not require you to provide any personal information. On the contrary, they ask you not to include any personal information.
So how exactly do they fight spam or fake reviews?

It's a little confusing because somewhere else they say that

Submit your case information to opt-in for professional support in recovery.

Your review goes live after a spam detection check. Rest assured, your personal information won't be shared in line with our privacy guidelines.
In this case which personal information are they referring to if not the phone number, email addresses or names?
17  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: DUCKDICE SCAM on: June 18, 2024, 08:24:51 AM
<...>
If I read this reply rightly, the claim they paid up the initial deposit but on the other account

OP has received his deposit back on account Ykavyvu766 and is now chasing his deposits on accountrat Yxuyovysis384 aswell.

Account Yxuyovysis384 is currently still under investigation, as OP has used different KYCs for all his alt accounts.

Maybe that was what @bobstone refereed to in his initial replies, or perhaps there was a mix-up as he admitted in one of his posts.
18  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: DUCKDICE SCAM on: June 18, 2024, 07:02:42 AM
<...>
Away from the copy-paste-typo argument. The timeline of the last active of the old account, time of creation of the new account and the new post via the new account is something that can not be under looked. It appears as though OP logged into the other old account shortly before deciding to create a fresh accusation via the newly created account.

June 13, 2024, 11:17:22 PM Time of registration of New account (Yxuyovysis384)
June 13, 2024, 11:26:57 PM The time the old account as last online (drhouse99)
June 13, 2024, 11:56:49 PM The time this accusation was made

All this happened within 40 minutes. I believe in coincidences but this?

Maybe we will just have to wait for the investigation results from Duckdice, but there is probably more into this case.
19  Other / Meta / Re: Username suddenly changed to "Bump" on: June 16, 2024, 11:58:01 PM
I managed to reproduce the same issue when I tried to translate the whole page using Google Translate. Perhaps that's where the issue came up from, and it's not a bug related to the forum. When you disable Google Translate or refresh, everything goes back to normal

20  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BPIP] Bitcointalk Public Information Project [Back in Action] on: June 16, 2024, 11:46:31 PM

Positive! The site is now online, even the isitdownrightnow.com website confirms that it is reachable. It looks like it has some temporary interruptions from time to time. What I noticed during the blank page phases is that the results shown by the extension on the forum profile pages seemed still accurate or uninterrupted.
