1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: Today at 08:39:03 AM
However, based on my personal observation, the better team is Meralco, as they beat Ginebra in a close game. I don't think the last game reflects how good Ginebra is, because the law of averages will return in Game 5, and I don't think it will be a blowout win for either team.

Same here, I don't think game 5 would be a blowout win for either team but still, I am betting for Ginebra Kings tonight as they got their much-needed confidence on that game 4 win. This is a game of momentum and I think the Kings have high moral going into game 5.

My bet for tonight:
Ginebra -4.5 @1.83 vs Meralco

2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Lotto Winner Takes Time To Claim Their Rewards, What's The Point? on: Today at 08:10:58 AM
How about you? When do you think is the right time to claim your winnings?

If I'll be lucky to win a lotto then I will claim it after maybe a few weeks. I have to give time on how to handle my security as in our country, you are a target by criminals if they know that you have lots of money.

I have once a co-worker who hit the lotto jackpot and he took some time for us to realize that he won the lotto as he didn't divulge this to us, we were just surprised on the sudden change of lifestyle like buying new cars and buying lots. He said that he spent some money to hire a former policeman to serve as his security upon claiming his winnings.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: May 25, 2024, 06:56:44 AM
Timberwolves choked on their huge halftime lead, and they've given the Dallas Mavericks a 2-0 lead, right here in Minnesota... We saw the Wolves win 3 of 4 games in Denver, but this really is going to be a different series and they've put themselves in a despicable situation, while it's not an impossible task to even the series in Dallas, it's definitely going to be an improbable tough task to execute, especially with Kyrie and Doncic playing at their best, and both guys are terrific at closing out games just like it been very evident in both game 1 and game 2

Game 3 is the crucial game for the Wolves, if they lose game 3, the series is over for them. The Wolves are in a different situation as they are now 0-2 while in the Denver series, they were up 2-0. Losing two games in your homecourt might take away their much-needed confidence especially since Luka and Irving were playing great this playoffs.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: May 24, 2024, 07:44:29 AM
While in the 2nd game, even I'm a big fan of SMB I think there's a chance that PBA will play this series I mean more games can convert decent numbers of profits, we never know if the series will extend.

LOL, i'm with you on this one. I'm thinking that the Beermen will relax and let coach Yeng Guiao got his first win of the semis tonight.

ROS ML @3.05 is very attractive and they will play as if there's no more tomorrow as a lose will be an early vacation for them hehe.

I'm not thinking that this will be a rigged game but ROS will just play inspired basketball after that incident wherein TR7 shoots the ball even when they were ahead and he could have just let the clock melt.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia on April 20 on: May 24, 2024, 06:36:43 AM
So this comes from a well know source, so I wouldn't be surprised. Maybe they are doing their due diligence to test it the right way and make sure that it is not contaminated whatsoever because their decision are going to be very important to the boxing world.

With that, we need to wait further and see if Ryan's is going to be exonerated or not as there are already a trial by publicity here and he has been labeled as a cheater by some boxers.

As per Dan Rafael's post, Ryan Garcia's B sample was still positive for the banned PED Ostarine. I do think that this post is from a reliable source as Dan Rafael was also the one divulging on the A sample being positive.

With this development, what could be the sanctions of the governing bodies to Ryan Garcia? Could he be banned from boxing on his entire life?
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tank Davis Vs Frank Martin WBA Lightweight Title June 22 HoustonTexas on: May 23, 2024, 11:44:04 AM
Hopefully, Martin can pull an upset. I heard rumors that Davis was putting a rehydration clause on the contract. I hope it is not true. Although, I agree that all these sanctioning bodies should have a rehydration limit at fight night to make fights more fair and less hazardous to the fighters welfare.

I think that rehydration clause is stipulated in their contract, if I'm correct it is a 12-pound rehydration clause that I have read somewhere but just forgot the link. Frank Martin is a decent boxer but I don't think he can pull an upset here mate as Tank Davis is a clever one though i want him also to lose but to Ryan Garcia if ever they have a rematch.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Teofimo Lopez vs Steve Claggett WBO Super Lightweight Title - June 29 on: May 23, 2024, 07:12:47 AM
But hey OP, I hope you don't mean to say it was going to be a stage or fixed fight for saying the match is to make Lopez look good since he has not made it in couple of his matches now? Otherwise... While Steve has also been active in the ring all these while, he may have also gathered some skills to defeat Lopez but let us watch out. It is a game that one must win and other looses.

Don't get me wrong but i think this fight is for Teo Lopez to win and look good in the process. Got nothing against Steve Claggett but he is just another not so complicated fight for Lopez basing on the level of opponents that he he fought. The guy has seven losses in 47 fight and in boxing 34 years old is not that young anymore. All the factors to lose are on Claggett's side. We knew that there is upset in this sport but this time i do think that chance is very slim.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / [Boxing] Teofimo Lopez vs Steve Claggett WBO Super Lightweight Title - June 29 on: May 22, 2024, 12:32:54 PM

ctto

Venue: Miami Florida

Teofimo "The Take-over" Lopez will be back in the ring this coming June 29 against a 34 years old Steve Claggett. I don't know if the latter has what it takes to defeat Lopez but i think this fight is to make Lopez looks good in the ring as he didn't do well on his last few fights.

No initial odds yet for this fight but will update this thread once bookies has it already.

9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Taylor vs Catterall - May 26 on: May 22, 2024, 08:55:01 AM
Taylor was the slight favorite in the beginning as posted by the OP. So that lost to Lopez was already accounted for by sport bookies. But with another postponement and with Taylor reasoning that it was due to another injury, the odd maker shift it more to Catterall now and so it's almost 50:50 now. But I do agree that this is not going to be a snoozer fight, both might really take it personal and hate each other and likely wanted to take each other's head off because they are rivals. However, for me Taylor might have lost some step as well, and he is in the division that is very stack-up, 140-147 lbs.

As of this writing, Catterall is now the slight favorite with an ML odds of 1.63 while the odds if we bet for Taylor is 2.14. Basing on their latest fights, i think i'm more inclined to bet for Catterall as Taylor is on a decline basing on what we saw on their last bouts. Though not a championship fight but i do believe that this fight is worth watching for those who love this sport of boxing as they have unfinish business.

BTW, the fight will be in a few days, this weekend to be specific.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: May 22, 2024, 08:24:46 AM
The Semi Finals will resume tomorrow with the follow schedule and betting spreads.

4:30 PM
Rain or Shine vs San Miguel Beernmen (-5.5)

I don't get why the spread is still the same, it was obvious that ROS stand no chance against the SMB. I know it's a very important game for them tomorrow as they will prevent to go down 0-3, but the way they showed in game 2, I think they just can't win even one game.

However, as a precuationary measure, I don't want to fall into the trap, I'll observe the line and will only place my bet minutes before it will start.
Here's what I'm gonna do, if the line will move to -8.5 again, I'll be betting on the SMB, but if the line will move -3.5, thn I will bet on ROS to win outright.

So far the odds for this game has not move and i managed to bet for the Beermen with a -6.5 spread @1.99. This is a risky bet as it might be a trap because there might be a tendency that the Beermen will relax on this game since they are up by two and who knows ROS' barrage from the outside might win the game for them.

Bolts vs Barangay Ginebra (-3.5)

This is a close game for sure, and so far Meralco is having great offense in the last 2 games, although they loss in game 1 but they were manage to score over of their team total as predicted by the bookies, so I guess betting on over 179.5 is still the best choice for me.

I'm betting for the Ginebra Kings on this one as i'm thinking that coach Tim Cone will make some adjustments on their game.

salamat sa palaro kabayan.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: May 21, 2024, 07:23:35 AM
SMB is just too much for ROS. Although ROS are sharing the ball very well which is good but their 3 point shooting was really the problem in this game. Just    27% from 3's and since that should be their main weapon to defeat SMB, with a low percentage that's an automatic loss. ROS really struggling to score in the paint as JMF is waiting their to block shots, and sometimes when JMF attack the paint, he can also grab some offensive rebounds which hurts more the ROS. Now, let's talk about game 3, what should be the strategy the ROS has to use? Because they can't afford to go 0-3 where no team have even comeback in the PBA history.

Actually there was already a team that came back from a 0-3 hole and that is the Beermen also lead by that time a younger June Mar Fajardo. It was dubbed as a "beeracle" where the SMB Beermen defeated the Alaska aces four consecutive game to grad the AFC trophy. Just forgot what year that was but it really happens in the PBA.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 19, 2024, 01:02:11 AM
I do think that it could be a smooth negotiations for either of the two, even if Shakur doesn't want to renew his contract although it could be a bottle neck as Shakur might want to get more what Arum will offer to him.

At this stage of his career, Loma doesn't need a Shakur type of fighter because that could only make him look bad in the ring as Shakur's lateral movement doesn't fit for Loma's style of boxing. Loma vs Tank Davis is the best fight for now for Loma as both fighters are crowd drawers and bring good money for either fighter though the negotiation for this fight is hard.

Anyways, not giving up pa din saking OKC. Sayang pambili ko sana nung phone ng Toncoin from Oyster Labs. Baka kasi magmala Solana sa daming airdrops. Cheesy

The spread of the game is already out..

SMB -5.5 vs ROS,. We have the first game of the best of 7 series, I think in the first game they'll come up so confident after the win, especially the ROS who had a great shooting night when they beat the TNT, so I guess it's going to be over. Not taking the spread but I have the ROS to score over 104.5.

ROS only managed to score 98 points mate, though they have a decent percentage on the outside shooting but they struggle on the paint as they can't score easily with Junemar Fajardo manning the middle. I have not put a bet on this game as i was thinking that ROS might upset them on game 1 as ROS' confidence is high with that win over TNT the other night. As usual, Fajardo was somewhat unstoppable in this game, tallying 23 points and grabbing 16 rebounds, good numbers for his 8th MVP award hehe.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: May 16, 2024, 10:11:13 AM
Second game, that's a nerve breaking escape after having a comfortable lead TNT manage to rally back and almost snatch the game to coach Yeng, luckily they escaped and will now move forward for the semis.

ROS are so predictable as they relied so much on outside shooting, I think the same with TNT, and since ROS shoot better in that game, they won the game. What I'm really impress is on how Kelly Williams played that game, he is already 42 years old and still competing very well, can even drive in the paint and score, and that game, he score 3 straight 3 point shots with less than a minute remaining, that's unbelievable.

Predictable indeed, they are just so lucky that they exploded for 39 points in the first quarter and have a comfortable 17 points lead, if not for that they might have lost the game. Moving forward, ROS will face SMB Beermen in the semis which i think the Beermen will win as the Elastopainters don't have anyone that could stop the Kraken down low.

17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Israil Madrimov vs Terrence Crawford on: May 16, 2024, 08:17:24 AM
If the Saudis are bankrolling his career, they will want to make the biggest fights possible, and at the moment that would be Crawford vs. Canelo.

Yes, this could be the fight that Crawford wants before hanging his gloves for good. He is not getting younger anymore and this kind of opportunity is hard to pass up so we might see Canelo vs Crawford in Saudi with his excellency promoting this matchup.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: May 15, 2024, 11:22:47 AM
So far SMB is dominating though still one more quarter to complete but seems that SMB is answeing whatever attempts Terrafima tried to rally back, it's tough as the main gunner of SMB are all doing the damage, CJ, Abay and TR7 are all in double digits while whoever is entering the court are also adding numbers, if Terrafima will not do the last push during the final quarter for sure that handicap can be cover as SMB might win more than 15 points, just an opinion as we don't really know if what the final quarter will, either SMB will finished it with a dictated outcome, or Terrafima will try to catch and make sure that the distance is not that huge.

And that's it kabayan, the fairy tale run of Terrafirma has come to an end as the Beermen blew them out in the second half and the SMB Beermen cover the spread of 10.5. Junemar Fajardo exploded in the second half of the game and gave the comfortable lead.

Lost my bet here as I thought that Terrafirma would make this game a close but they don't have an answer to every basket that SMB made in the final two quarters.

The next game is still an interesting game to watch, hope that ROS will take the last semis berth.

edit: ROS off to a good start, scoring 39 points in the first quarter while TNT scored only 22.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: May 15, 2024, 07:39:05 AM
I also had the Knicks as well with the -1.5 and it didn't disappoint those who bet on them ML or the handicap as they covered it with a lot of spare if you bet on them pre-game. Jalen Brunson was on fire in this game with a huge 44 points.

So now it goes back to Pacers homecourt. And I think we might see a game 7 in this series.

Most probably we will see a game 7 in this series if the pattern will not break. These teams are good when playing at their homecourt. Too bad that i bet for the Pacers in this game because i thought that the Pacers has the momentum and also think that Brunson was hurt but he was on fire tonight scoring 44 points.

Congrats on the mate, hope i can tail on your bet tomorrow.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney - Sandor Martin Ordered By WBC For The Light Welterweight Title on: May 14, 2024, 07:56:22 AM
I think Haney will be able to regain himself here. I don't see his opponent to be dangerous to be honest because he has a low KO rate.

based on https://boxrec.com/en/box-pro/578364... out of 42 wins, he only have 15 KO, and he has 3 losses already. So I believe this fighter is not really a threat to Haney, this might look like a tune up fight for Haney to get back in the game, but he is not the same fighter anymore as he was already beaten by Ryan Garcia.

I agree that Martin is not a threat Devin Haney if we consider his knockout ratio but this is the boxer that gave Teofimo Lopez a hard time when the latter move up to this division. I hope though that Martin could duplicate his performance when he fought Lopez so that we can see a competitive fight because if not then this could be a sort of a tune-up fight for Haney which he badly needed by now after that humiliation he suffered against Ryan Garcia.
