This is false information. Not all investors of this token are gamblers ...

Even gambling operators are not gambling much because they understand how to separate the business from their personal activities. As investors, we should have that kind of mentality. Although gambling platforms may not be as revolutionary as other projects, there is still a big potential for the business to grow since we are in a billion-dollar industry. Online casinos nowadays can cater to the world. While some countries may ban gambling, the wide market means there's no reason not to be profitable despite the competition.

Quote
besides gamblers itself is the main reason why the token value is always dumping since they usually sold all their BFG token after their claim their casino VIP rewards.

But the effect should be temporary.

Friends, if you haven't seen it yet. Give some love to the X's account of BK8, they've got 4200+ followers as of the moment.

https://x.com/bk8official

They're active there and keeps posting about everyday's games.

I have followed them already. I'm surprised they only have so few followers despite the account being created in July 2021. That's almost three years ago. I guess they need to gain more followers, as other casinos that are popular in the forum have plenty of followers on this platform. I remember before, the Twitter campaign was very popular, so I think it's one way to significantly grow the number of followers. I hope they'll consider that since they have been promoting using their X account.
Yeah, they have got not a lot of followers considering that they've been sponsors of these great teams. But that's fine, they're known to most gamblers already.

And running a campaign like a twitter campaign won't do good anymore. That might get their handle to get banned because I think that's how it happened for most of those campaigns that did it.
I don't know that it's one of the risk. I just saw a campaign before and most projects are running a campaign.
Well, probably under a different owner which we all know it's Elon Musk, so they must have revise some rules, so I understand now why this type of campaign is not effective anymore.

BK8 is doing fine but if you want to show some love, it's one way to follow.

Already did and I'm pretty much aware now of their promotions. However, this is not the only casinos I'm using, so I won't be able to avail  or join all its promotions since other casinos are also consistent doing their own.

(-)Or maybe you can ask support if it is allowed to use VPN to play the free spins or not because some casinos allow it or maybe other casino will give alternative game to play.
I was thinking of doing this, but isn't it risky for my account because what I'm asking is trying to bypass that restriction by using a VPN? I've read some posts before similar o this and most of the comments do not favor using a VPN. Some said VPN is only good to keep your activity more private as long as you don't break the TOS. Here, it's similar to breaking the TOS since it's not available in my jurisdiction, so I find ways to change my IP to trick the provider. Anyway, I will still try to talk to support and see what they can say.

I've always laughed when I read someone say the following: "it's okay to use a VPN, as long as it's from a country that's on the permitted list and uses a VPN from another country that's also on the permitted list", and those are words common things that the support guys have been saying, but why have I been laughing at this? Is that in almost all casinos in their TOS, right at the beginning there are scriptures like: "you agree that you are giving true information. this includes full name, location" so if in the casinos' TOS it clearly says that people must give real location, and even in the TOS of the game providers they have put this kind of thing, so it is clear that even if the support guy says that the use of VPN is accepted as long as it is from a permitted country, he is wrong and that the casino or provider of game can ban this person from using the vpn whenever they want and who will lose in the middle of all this is the player

I guess we get the answer here from the post shared by Potato Chips. They don't allow VPN usage and even discussing it is discouraged. Well, that's fair IMO, at least gamblers won't have an idea that might result in their accounts being locked.

@Potato Chips, thanks for the suggestion. However, I think there are only a few gamblers from our country, so I'll just respect the rules and let the system play. Maybe next time I'll be able to enjoy the free spins on games that are allowed in our country by the providers.

Nevertheless, @freedomgo could still ask if they could transfer the spins to another game. Perhaps, if more people says the same thing, skel might do something about it, just a perhaps lol.
5  Economy / Gambling / Re: Odds Provider of Maverick Games or Similar Sites on: June 23, 2024, 01:10:44 PM
@JinKuang, I'm just curious, so I would like to ask. How can you compare this certain sportsbook in terms of odds to the popular ones like Sportsbet and Stake?
My quick go-to-method to check is to compare their "even money odds" bets (Over/Under, Handicaps) and see how much fees they are taking.

Based on my own experience and the specific markets that I play with:

Even Money Odds (closer to [2.00/2.00] the better)
  • Sportsbet.io - On ave. [1.89/1.89]*, Popular Markets [1.94/1.94]
  • Stake.com - On ave. [1.90/1.90]*, Popular Markets [1.92/1.92]
  • Maverick Games - On ave. [1.93/1.93]*, Popular Markets [1.96/1.96]

*Just my own baseline and not a hard rule, sometimes Sportsbet/Stake offers higher odds on certain bets compared to Maverick.

As you can see Maverick's odds really gives you a definite edge on pure odds without taking into account each sportsbook's promotions.
Taking promotions into account between Sportsbet and Stake, I usually bet Over/Under & Handicaps on Sportsbet and 1x2 Winner/Props/Misc on Stake.

I see the point now. A 3% difference is already significant, especially if you are betting a large amount. It is indeed hard to find a sportsbook with that kind of odds since the juice is typically 10% in most sportsbooks. However, due to competition, some may have adjusted to make it more enticing to bettors.

For now, I can suggest trying the casinos here. You are in the right section, so maybe check them out. In terms of reputation, you can already see that those maintaining a good reputation are here. Perhaps try the new ones, I'm sure you'll not have a hard time finding one since most casinos now already add sportsbooks to their platforms.
6  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gamba.com | New Crypto Betting Casino on: June 23, 2024, 11:31:16 AM
Nice site, the UI is good, and this is not only a casino but also a sportsbook.

I had a quick check on the site and I see you have plenty of games to choose from, not so different from the leading casinos that have announced their platform on the forum. So, you are not the representative of the casino? If there are queries, will you be able to entertain them, and can we expect accurate answers?

Anyway, welcome to the forum.
7  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.com|🚀Join BetFury Cryptodrop 🌔 Share $20 MLN in BFG on: June 23, 2024, 09:34:49 AM
We endlessly can watch how water is running, how fire is burning and how people discuss BFG, BFG price and number of tokens in turnover Grin Buy have you noticed, that the price is stringly above 2 cents. Previously people were complaining, that price stuck on 1.5 cent price and investors failed with investment. Ehat do you think about things now?
On the investor's side, this is really disappointing, but the good news is that this project is still alive and active, which means there's still a chance for it to grow and maybe become more popular in the future, so the price will follow. BetFury is doing what they can as we can still see their promotion and advertising which is already proof they want to compete. However, admit it, we rarely see an altcoin gambling-based project that is really successful. Most of the projects I know are not even existing now, so we can't expect a lot but we can be optimistic if we are an investor of this running project.

9  Economy / Gambling / Re: Odds Provider of Maverick Games or Similar Sites on: June 22, 2024, 11:35:32 PM
I did a quick research and I found multiple articles dating back to 2023 talking about a partnership between maverick.game and pinnacle solution. So, I think pinnacle is their odds provider.
But as I couldn't find any official source for this information, it would be better to reach out their customer support or pm their pr (as yahoo suggested) for confirmation.

Can we find the information online for the list of odds providers? I also did some quick research but didn't see Pinnacle being an odds provider; it was just a sportsbook per my research. About Maverick Games, I checked their ANN thread and there was indeed a user posting that they received an email about the sportsbook closing soon, but the official representative hasn't made any announcement yet.

@JinKuang, I'm just curious, so I would like to ask. How can you compare this certain sportsbook in terms of odds to the popular ones like Sportsbet and Stake?
10  Economy / Gambling / Re: MetaWin.com | The First WEB3 Casino on: June 22, 2024, 10:14:57 PM
Those who have played at metawin, I ask you to check your email as it seems metawin is sending a small bonus to all players.

I got the same amount! though, I'm not a big player, perhaps thats why. My email states it's because it's been a while since they last saw me. My last deposit would be 10 days ago, maybe that's long enough for them? or as you say, every player has gotten them lol.

This was nice to see coupled with the $20 bucks free spins the other day  Cheesy

I received an email too and it was a $20 free spin, unfortunately when I click, I saw this message "Sorry, the game is not available for your jurisdiction." I guess it's not really for me, this particularly game. Anyway, what matters is they do have the sportsbook now, thought still in soft launch but I can already find the games that I'm interested in betting with.

This should be a long list, so good luck maintaining this thread. The list of casinos is not yet complete. Maybe start with casinos that are running their signature campaigns, as they are more noticed in the forum than others that do not run campaigns anymore. I only use a few of the casinos, which are also popular, but they have already been recommended in the posts above.

Anyway, I think I've seen a similar thread like this in the past, but it wasn't maintained. That's why I said good luck maintaining it, because although this is very helpful, if it becomes outdated, it might only be misleading.
12  Economy / Gambling / Re: I need help with sportsbets i made on blackjack.fun and sirwin.com on: June 22, 2024, 11:43:42 AM
OP , if your case is already addressed and answered better to lock this thread as the Blackjackfun representative is already here and have send you emails.

We need confirmation from the OP first if that was really the bet being raised here. However, if the OP doesn't reply after the response from blackjack.fun, we can assume that the problem was indeed solved. Although the matter brought up is valid, without a conclusion from the OP, this thread would be similar to other threads created by newbies that are left hanging after their problem is solved.

https://freeimage.host/i/screenshot-2024-06-21-180807.dHSqjLB
you can see, same what I copy pasted here.

Based on the screenshot, it looks strange because they already close the account while they are still investigating it. I think the right thing to do is just to allow the user to access the account while freezing the funds pending the result of investigation.

This is the standard procedure of online casino when an account is under investigation. An account is suspected violated the ToS that’s why it’s temporarily disabled. This is different when an account is under verification process which user can access the account but can’t do a withdrawal/deposit.

Casino will not disable the account if the potential violation is weak.

The fact that it's still under investigation means they don't have a conclusion yet on a possible violation. And what difference does it make if a user is allowed to access their account but not allowed to bet or withdraw funds? I mean, aren't users like us entitled to access our accounts so we can gather evidence in case we want to file a complaint or counter the violation that is accused of us? By accessing the account, we will be able to see the history of transactions (bets, deposits/withdrawals), and we know this is vital in defending ourselves against accusations.

And the support using the words "I do not have the information" in an answer, that doesn't look professional at all. I think we need their representative to answer this concern if they have an ANN thread here.

This is the typical reply of support when the problem is on provider. Since provider typically doesn’t disclose the reason for investigation unless it was already concluded. This is really sucks to read as a player but this is what we agree on the ToS.

“We have the right to suspend/disable account without further explanation” casino ToS typically have this line that sucks.

Really? Maybe I'm not fully aware of the details of the TOS of the casinos I've used because I haven't read that line. But if it is really part of the TOS, I think it's fair if they don't freeze the funds and just allow the user to withdraw the funds before the account is formally closed.

Although I agree that they shouldn't have completely locked his account while it's still under investigation, this could be in his best interest. If they allow him to access his account and place bets, there are high chances that he will lose some of his money if not all of it.
Support agents usually don't have access to some sensitive information and they have to wait for the investigation to be completed to get a detailed answer from the appropriate team.
No, I don't mean they'll allow betting; I said they'll allow the user to still access their account, but it will be frozen. This means the user cannot place bets or withdraw their remaining balance while waiting for the result of the investigation. I can say this based on experience, as I have an account in one of the casinos here where my account was temporarily frozen due to a suspected violation. It took weeks before the result of the investigation came out. In the end, the account was closed, but I was able to withdraw the remaining funds.

If I'm not mistaken, the previous Betfury signature campaign also paid campaign participants with BFG tokens.

They paid bitcoin + BFG Tokens.

{Closed} BetFury.io [Leading Social BTC Casino] Signature Campaign | Full M+
This was launch in 2022, the same campaign manager that manages the current and they are quite aggressive with hiring members that time.

Here's the payout structure.

Quote
Payouts and Positions:
10x Full Members - $40/week {$20 BTC & $20 BFG}
10x Sr. Members - $50/week {$25 BTC & $25 BFG}
20x Hero/Legendary Members -  $70/week {$35 BTC & $35 BFG}

They came back this year so they really want to continue marketing using the forum.

Thank you all for your replies. I will now be collecting the list of websites as our reference for casino reviews. I won't be counting how many users recommended a specific site, so please vote in the poll to reflect the number of users who consider a certain website as their favorite. I will only be selecting one from each user's mentions, so please vote so I can update the names in the OP after keeping this thread open for probably a week.

Since most of us here are picking our beloved forum bitcointalk.org, then I will be adding it in the poll.
18  Economy / Gambling / Re: Need some betting advice and help with sportbet.one account setting up on: June 20, 2024, 11:00:31 PM
Start by choosing a reputable sportsbook so all your effort won't be wasted. Actually, it's easy to learn how to bet on sports in a particular sportsbook; you can do that simply by exploring it. You have all the time you need since sportsbooks operate 24/7.

However, I suggest you first educate yourself on the basics of sports betting, particularly its terminologies. This way, you can easily understand discussions, especially if you join a sports betting forum or watch some YouTube videos about sports betting.

You can read this https://www.si.com/betting/2020/05/13/sports-betting-terms-definitions-gambling
Unless if his goal for playing is mainly to have fun but no doubt that it's always or still better to support those who only strive to give the people a fair and fun experience. To say it was easy, might also depend on our ability to adapt things, and there are some who are slow at it but that's okay and as they say, practice makes perfect Wink.

An online sports book can operate 24/7 but our time is the only one who is limited because we also have our own obligations in life. We can't start on the advanced one, if we don't know the basics first and doing or insisting so, can only mess up us. In the forum, we already have a sports discussion here, so no need for him to go else where.

Of course, they operate 24/7, but this is sports betting and you don't need to bet all the time. If you are just following a specific sport or league, you only need to place your bets and wait for the outcome. In fact, it doesn't even take an hour of betting to enjoy gambling. Since the aim is to win, it's important to focus on the quality of your bets, which means betting only on a few games that you have analyzed thoroughly for a better outcome.

Maybe at first, we play for fun, but eventually, we get interested in challenging ourselves by pushing it to the limit to see if we are among the few who can truly be profitable in sports betting. For me, I would consider it a big fulfillment if I succeeded in sports betting, as I know only exceptional people can do it. Being one of them would be a huge success.
19  Economy / Gambling / Re: I need help with sportsbets i made on blackjack.fun and sirwin.com on: June 20, 2024, 10:04:55 PM
This rule obviously impacts the betting markets since the game can never go into overtime since the game will only finish once a team hits the decided target score within the game. For example if you were to bet on draw you would never be able to win in theory.

More importantly, is it possible to bet on a draw at all?
Also, you took the overtime option there in your bet, so you bet on the final end score, and you lost, I don't see any reason for that bet to be returned, even ignoring your claims about now knowing what the rules don't really count.

OP needs to be familiar with the rules as bookies doesn't really review the odds and market they provide, they have the odds provider and everything was link in their. If that particular game has no possible OT outcome but the OT market is available in the sportsbook for betting, then that is quite misleading at all, but that's how the game work I guess, and we will never be mislead if we are familiar with the rules of the game and the certain league we are betting.

however, it's still good to see a reply from blackjack.fun about this since they are active in the forum, but I don't expect the bet to be refunded IMO.

About the other casino mentioned, I think they don't have a good reputation as we can see in https://www.trustpilot.com/review/sirwin.com.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Your best casino review website. on: June 20, 2024, 02:17:15 PM
Personally, I'm more confident reading simple reviews on casinos that are listed in the forum from their announcement threads. However, we all know that not all popular casinos have their ANN thread here, so I would like to know from this community: what is the best review website you check before gambling at a certain casino?

Just tell us one casino review site that you consider the best. I would like to rank them based on the results of the poll, with the list compiled from the replies here. Maybe we can use this information to help newbies easily find the best casinos in the space.
