1  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for online job on: May 25, 2024, 11:03:31 AM
If no one contacts you here, try out the other marketplaces for developers like you and get paid with USDT.

Also try the common freelancing marketplace like fiverr and upwork, you'll get paid there in USD and all you have to do is to convert that into USDT.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A lot of people in this section do not understand basic gambling concepts. on: May 25, 2024, 09:10:41 AM
Even for the top VIP accounts there's never a positive return to player. There's no casino that will allow any player to have more returns than losses simply by wagering. It never happens.

Many people are simply fooled by the vip programs. Yes, some sites are more generous than others but we have to realize that it's not a realistic expectation to expect at some point to be earning more than losing simply by playing at a casino. Even if you reach the highest VIP level, which means you lost millions, the casino is even st that point going to have a house edge against you. Maybe with the bonuses the house edge is lower, but never positive.
There are some privileges that casinos do give to the VIPs that they have. But you're right, it is not more than the potential win that they can get so, it's still under the lines of their losses.

But that feeling of what the casinos offer for VIPs looks great whenever you do. At the end of the day, it's still business for them and you as a VIP understands that but still have that privilege and some incentives coming.
3  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC/SAT/μBTC/mBTC on: May 25, 2024, 07:03:51 AM
There is a general consensus that if someone says 0.001 BTC, it's understandable that it is what it is. And if someone says 1 mBTC, there's a need to convert that into BTC for the whole thing.

IMHO, it's easier to understand if the measurement is simply to be said as BTC. But whichever you are comfortable to say the amount, you can tell that to whom you are talking to.

At the end of the day, there's always the internet that someone will use for searching the actual conversion per bits, sats, etc.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can soccer players collaborate with gamblers to help them win there bet? on: May 24, 2024, 02:05:07 PM
They can collaborate and break the rule of law from being a professional and that also takes away their professional title.

There are a lot of athletes that have done this in the past for the sake of little money that they're going to earn from that bet. But in return, their career is going to be ruined with that simple bet and commission that they might earn from the obvious fouls and actions they do on the particular match where their bettors have a bet.

It's not worth it if there will be some pro athletes that are thinking of doing this. Some might have been unnoticed but it won't go forever for them and the time will come that the obvious will be found out.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: May 24, 2024, 11:51:39 AM
Meanwhile, two games on lower bracket tomorrow. Totally leaning towards BB and AR. I'll just go with straight winner and not mess this one up, I just hope my confidence wont knock my sock off this time
I think that AR got this and if they win the series against Heroic, they're going to face their co-Chinese team, XG.

Meanwhile, I am watching the game of BetBoom and Aurora and it's already on the 2nd map. The first map was won by BetBoom and it's on the 18-minute mark there's still for sure a lot to happen despite that Aurora is in the lead.

The current kill score is 11-1 and that's in favor of Aurora Esports.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling bad to the society? on: May 24, 2024, 01:11:34 AM
If I give my own opinion about this then gambling will not bad thing until the people makes it bad by themselves like use gambling instead of entertainment they play it for their greed to earn money to get quick rich and as well as some addicted people's make is bad in society.
It looks bad when a gambler doesn't have good results as per their gambling activities. This depends on the gambler on how it reflects to his attitude towards the results, if he's too aggressive every time he's on a losing streak then that's something to be considered because that's seriously bad to the society.

For someone who gambles for the money, it's very unlikely that it's always a good day. So, you are bringing yourself to that part where you should be careful on how to show your emotions when you are having a bad day.

If gambling is literally bad to the society, it's because of the mental aspect that it gives when you're mostly losing at all times.

Economically, it isn't bad because huge taxes are on it and the government benefits from it.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin supply shock will come, price will make new ATH on: May 23, 2024, 01:03:46 PM
Keep up your DCA, if you have money to DCA more bitcoin and keep up your Bitcoin hodling, do it patiently with time, in coming months,
We all have to be patient. While there have been hypes left and right on the crypto market, Bitcoin remains to be stably moving up and crossing back to its new ATH that has been reached.

you will be rewarded very good profit.
Only if they will be patient and able to make it because in the upcoming months, surely there will be greater prices and they're going to be tempted to sell.

But no matter at what prices they sell, if they're in profit then that's the main reason why we've held.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Foolhardy bets. on: May 23, 2024, 10:17:39 AM
Have you become to be more eager in gambling or , on the contrary it has put a chill on you?
The latter. I am no longer a hyper type of gambler. The reckless kind of bets that I have made in the past, made me learn that I don't have to be the same anymore.

Staying on gambling for so long and having no problems is like a survival instinct for most of us.

I guess those gamblers that are mostly doing YOLO bets can relate to this thread.
9  Economy / Economics / Re: Buying Vs Renting a Home- Which is the right move? on: May 23, 2024, 08:44:22 AM
Just renting might be much convenient.

I better prefer owning a van instead buying house. The worst thing about renting is the uncertainty. The landlord can just raise your rent and you have no choice but to pay or leave.
There are advantages still with renting and that depends on your goal and job. While owning a van is also what I am seeing for some people and this becomes a trend, this isn't applicable to those that are needed to their field jobs.

Those that afford to live a van life have saved their money and have a remote job. This is good for the modern and first world countries. But if you are living in a 3rd world country, you may have problem access to public bathrooms and other necessities that you have.

If I have to choose, I like to go on an adventure in van and live there but if the time comes that my kid needs to study, I'd prefer to go back to old living because I prefer face to face schooling than online for my kid/s.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Lotto Winner Takes Time To Claim Their Rewards, What's The Point? on: May 22, 2024, 08:10:06 PM
Some may be shocked because they don't know if it's true and they can't believe what just happened. And that's why they take time before they claim and verify all of the details of the draw if it's true or not.

While it won't take that much, most of the first-time winners need to ask and coordinate first with the lotto outlet or where they should claim that.

They call and probably it is within the office of the releasing that gives them a schedule to claim so some are taking a week or two or even months but a year? silly me I won't let that money slip that long if it's already claimable.
11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto investment is exhausting for some ? on: May 22, 2024, 06:04:34 PM
Crypto isn't really for everyone and just as in general of investing, it ain't for everyone as well.

Have you seen people giving up on crypto after they spent some time doing research on crypto and even investing?
Yes.

I've got friends in real life who have made a profit in crypto and they spent a lot of time researching this. But after some time, all of their minds have changed because they've sold and missed the dip.

But good thing that I am seeing from them today is they're going back. So, if anyone that you know came out from the market, the time will come that they're going to come back because there is no other market like the crypto market they'll see opportunities as the same.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin backed loans on: May 22, 2024, 12:47:09 PM
Hey guys. I don't want to sell my btc, but I need some money for my family vacation. I looked around several DeFi platforms where I can lock wrapped BTC and get stablecoins, also looked to companies like SALT and Unchained. I don't like 2 things: high interest rate and liquidations. Anyone took BTC backed loans? What is your experience?
Centralized exchanges have this feature so check it out with Binance and other popular ones like Bybit. I've checked what bybit has to offer and they've got flexible terms of payment.

But you might be surprised with the interest rate that they're going to give you. For 7 days of payment term, you'll already getting 20%+ of interest rate.

And more with the longer payment term.

https://www.bybit.com/en/trade/spot/loan

Anyway, this is more than a tip. If you can't afford to get into vacation because you are lack of funds, don't go and save more.
13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A known enemy can easily be defeated on: May 21, 2024, 11:36:06 AM
I have a younger brother who lives in the US and yesterday he told me about a call he received saying that he can get his lost coins back and all he needs to do is submit his wallet address.

Before saying that I am a fool, I know this is a scam, but I need to ask about what could possibly go wrong if he submit a wallet address? I did told him to submit a random wallet address that is empty with no single transactions in the past though but I can't stop thinking what this could lead to.

If you know their trick you can always be ahead of them and possibly be able to Warn others too, I am just wondering what they could possibly have in mind, I think they will track his transactions to know his worth. Or there is more? What do you think?
Start out if your brother has lost his coins. From there, stitches the people that he has talked with and why that random call knows that he has lost it before.

While there's no problem at all if he sends a random fresh wallet address to that guy. But as Lucius said and explained, that's the start of the scam.

Tell your brother to be wise as lost coins if it's with crypto, they're lost forever.

Just to drop by maybe some Esports enthusiasts and bettors probably are missing the current tournament that the ESL gaming has organized for Dota 2 and that's the Dream League which is currently on its season 23.

This is going to be a short tournament and we're currently on the day 2 out of 3 of the group stages. And, this is going to be followed by the playoffs up to the grand finals.

Check it out on the tab and visit the Dota 2 for this tournament: https://www.betcoin.ag/sportsbook/esports

There are some other tournaments too but the community is focusing on this one currently. But hey, everyone is free to bet on the others.
15  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: List Of The Longest Forum Signature Campaign Above 100wk That Left/Still Active on: May 21, 2024, 12:04:11 AM
Do not forget about Bustadice that has started on December 2017 and ended on May 2021. I have participated there say 3 years so with that requirement of OP about running for 100 weeks, it should fit to be on the list.

To mention, it was greatly managed by yahoo.

Also, Playbetr Signature Campaign which I was also a participant of it before we have been transferred by Hhampuz to Betcoin. It has ran for 177 weeks from May 2019 to October 2022.

16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: May 20, 2024, 01:36:43 PM
Going with the Dream League S23, I am currently watching the match of XG and Aurora Esports. It sucks that they're currently paused in-game and I don't know how many minutes the pause has been with already.

Since this is an online tournament, I guess that XG is having problems on their internet connection through their hotel room or wherever they're playing right now. It's obvious that they can't go back to China yet and the server to play in for Dream League should be in EU.\

This is in favor of them as they can rest for a few minutes while it's currently on pause.
Technical problems could really happen with these tournament on which it would really be held on their own camp or location on which internet issues could really disrupt their gameplays which it do really sucks as a viewer. This is why the best tournament that i do really prefer or do like is the international where everything is set on LAN. S23 of Dreamleague looks interesting as usual.
The recent PGL finals was really on fire in between TS and XG which i do always amaze on how Yatoro plays with carry role and same as with Ame but well
there's only 1 winner and totally not shocking for TS but still a good game by XG.
Me too, I prefer to watch LAN events but they're not exempted with technical difficulties too.

It's good to see that the Dream League staff and admin have a wide understanding this time, and I think that they still give a pause time to each time.

But this time it's bearable and understandable because of the situation. XG won against Aurora Esports (2-0).

All of the series on the group stages are a best of 2.

18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How it is possible to get MC in millions ? on: May 20, 2024, 08:50:27 AM
Not all projects are appealing to investors and that's why if you think that it's questionable why some projects you've spotted don't increase in market cap quickly compared to the others.

There is a big difference why those that have been gaining a market cap is due to the reason that they're able to gain the community's attention through marketing.

Just sort of those stuff and they're able to attract more investors but most of them are only short term type.
19  Economy / Speculation / Re: How short-term market speculations can help small bitcoin holders on: May 19, 2024, 09:02:30 PM
To newbies I believe their most favorable action is taking profits along the way as long as bitcoin increase in it fiat value and not minding what amount of bits they are left with.
If you want to maximize your profit as a newbie, you'll have to hold longer. While it is enticing to sell for profits when you've just bought it and you're in profit.

You'll have to reconsider if you can buy back the sold bits that you have. Because not all sellers can be buyers next, why?

Because we'd feel that it's not appropriate anymore to buy at higher price when we've held it before.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When did you realize you need to be a responsible gambler so you can continue ? on: May 19, 2024, 07:14:01 PM
I am responsible but it pushes me more when I see situations when someone can't be reached with how they're responsive with their addiction or just simple bets that have been made. I have to be responsible not for anyone but for myself.

And with that, I can continue whatever I want to do be it in gambling or any other activities that I want to do alone. Because if I can't be responsible on this matter, I probably can't do the same thing to other things that I do.

So, it's a good measure on how to become responsible so that I won't end up badly and to keep things balance for myself.
Responsibleness doesn't only applicable the gambling but when you applies it in all things you do especially in your daily routine then you would get accustomed to it even though you are gambling at least you would know how to go with it even without becoming addicted to know someone isn't responsible gambler.
One must not go get bad in their gambling exercise before they could know they aren't responsible, even as that when you began to see yourself in an usual ways then that person should know that they literally just going on the wrong way which they need draw back their attention to something more better or to recall how they started before getting to the situation they are currently with this it's very easier for someone to know they are actually going the wrong ways.
That's why no one is there to help us control our emotions and ourselves but only ourselves. There's no one gonna save us from the addiction that might develop because of our gambling activities.

That's why we have to be aware at most times if we're still on the path of being far from addiction or we're already walking on its path and it's only a matter of time until we become one.

What's hard is when we continue and then we know that there's not enough money anymore for us to gamble. It is a sign that you need to budget everything.
