921  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do gambling addicts bother about the consequences of their actions? on: June 20, 2023, 06:52:33 PM
A question that bothers me concerning this issue is;
1. Do gambling addicts ever take a second thought on what the consequences of their actions can be not just to them but on those close to them?
I think they do but they'll reason out that they had no choice.

2. Do they in reality genuinely feel any remorse about  how those affected by their actions might be feeling?
Possibly but they still do it.

3. Or, are they a dispassionate victim of their own uncontrollable addictive gambling lifestyle?
This is also possible. But learning to know that you've been addicted, you shouldn't harm others and also affect the time or anything that they've got.

There are gamblers that aren't addicted and still know the place and things that they've got, the limitations that should set boundaries on how far they can go with gambling.

Proof of stake coins are the ones that will allow you to earn passively. So, it's like an interest that you'll earn which is called APY that you'll earn a percentage annually.

Exchanges do offer this but there's the risk on it because you are not the one who's holding the key.
Sure, if you wanna call a coin decreasing in value by half every year but giving you 17% APY ”passive income” then go ahead and call it that way, but I’m quite less than 10% of the staking tokens actually overperform their own inflation lol. Then if you take a chart of that token against BTC you’ll see it’s only losing value constantly.
Well, that's the counterpart on these staking coins. You can't expect majority of them to perform very well and if there are some that really does then that's good but won't be the same the next months or year.

Another one is the decreasing APY that it gives, while it's still fresh the APY that they'll give is quite high but it's not permanent and will change over time when there are more people that does stake it.

On this thing, it's not that really sustainable at all with high percentages and that's why we see most of them drop their rates.
923  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto Passive Income on: June 19, 2023, 01:10:13 PM
Hey guys!
Have you ever had experience with earning passive crypto income? It's quite interesting subject but I need to be Sure where to put my money cuz there are many platforms that just bankrupt and users never get their money back

Would be grateful to hear your experience!

Investing in Bitcoin is also gonna earn you passively by its value increasing over time. So if you buy like a hundred bucks of Bitcoin today, you'll earn more than that depending on the future increased price of it.
924  Other / Off-topic / Re: When will you be comfortable to start a home. on: June 19, 2023, 10:24:11 AM
I think everyone is stuck into that idea that they should be stable before marrying someone. Because it's not an easy responsibility that you'll be taking in and life in marriage isn't going to be all about you being alone. Every decision that you make should also be consulted with your partner.

There's a mutual decision together with your partner whether both of you are stable or not, as long as you agree that you'll strive together and work with your plans and dreams so that's it.
925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Avalanche is NOT listed as a security (SEC) on: June 19, 2023, 01:54:07 AM
No doesn't mean it won't. The SEC just hasn't seen avalanche yet.
This.

Today, they might have not labelled it as a security but because there are other coins that they're targeting and prioritizing. But it won't be surprising if they change their decisions and will declare that as a security.

It will be a matter of time but if not then I'm wrong, and congratulations to the holders of it but that doesn't mean that everyone should also buy that coin.
926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: As a Gambler and a Die-Hard Fan of a Club Would you Bet Against your Club on: June 18, 2023, 09:06:19 PM
Let's just admit that no matter how die hard fan you are when you're in need of money and you know the odds are favoring and you've got a sense on who's gonna win.

It won't matter to you that you're a die hard fan and you'll even have to reason out to yourself that this is just one-time thing but you'll still be a fan of theirs.

Well, we can be sure that there have been gamblers like that.
927  Economy / Economics / Re: Nothing serious, just my own thought on the crypto crackdown. on: June 18, 2023, 07:20:40 PM
So, in this case if CZ has got a good friend in the congress or senate and he helps him with funding then for sure there will be some protection that he'll get and that guy will surely push away whoever stands their way.

However, Binance isn't like FTX that has got the obvious of stealing people's money. There's always the reason behind these policies and crackdowns and if they're targeting a bigger entity, maybe things will change if there's an 'under the table' thing.
Before now I have doubted the conspiracy theory but at a time in life when I took up some projects and made financial movements and growth, I understood that there is some level of conspiracy in almost everything you can think about.
I became more convinced of this during the covid-19 when China played it on the whole world having conspired with other close allies to plunge USA into a certain degree of confusion.

Sam of FTX could not have done it alone and for Binance to be in the book of SEC, he has refused to renew his conspiracy dues. Nothing happens by chance.
That's right, I'm not also quick to believe with these conspiracies but I guess it becomes an interesting thought of those that's monitoring these situations.

Too many involved with these but those that they can't voiced out should be protected. As for these cases, they'll eventually die and won't be talked anymore or if it will be shall remain as a memory.
928  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Easy or hard to quit? on: June 17, 2023, 10:28:27 PM
Talking to myself and if I'll promise that, I can do that but not easily I think.

People may experience what is commonly known as a "winning phase," in which they initially succeed and even meet their financial goals. However, maintaining those winnings over the long term can be difficult, which may lead to further gambling in an attempt to replicate them.
That's right, when someone who's got a huge winning and he wants to maintain that. The same routine again by tomorrow that he'll start to gamble, place some bets and put an amount on the bankroll on how much he's willing to spend.

And then, not the same result, losing, losing bets and money and that's the start of it that someone might lose everything that he's gained.

930  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: June 16, 2023, 12:24:14 PM
Wow!
I am have just been so terrible with these Dreamleague matches.
Bet on Tundra winning in yesterday's match and that was the loss for my parlay since of course Evil Geniuses won a map to of course, draw for the fifth time in a row!
They just had a match end and I had Tundra esports to win yet again.
But of course what happens?
Evil Geniuses the underdogs win yet again even for a b03.

I might just stick to CS:GO when they have the restart in July after summer vacation for the majors squads are over.
EG is underrated. They are complete in roster unlike with Tundra, they're not complete and played with a sub but there's another good news for the Tundra players.

They've got a direct invite to the Riyadh masters despite of being eliminated yesterday and the basis for being qualified is due to their good performance for the other past Dream League and not on this current one.

Going with the present matches, I've just watched 2 games for Team Aster and 9Pandas, score is 1-1 and they'll now gonna be on the third map within the next few minutes.
931  Economy / Gambling / Re: Question about casino, sports bet on: June 16, 2023, 10:39:30 AM
@OP

I'd be very careful if you ever found a casino that you like to gamble and also it's not announced on their website that they don't have an app. And then it turns out that you've found one on google playstore.

Well, this isn't a new thing but scammers and hackers do keep on getting victims and their preys through this type of scenario. So before downloading anything relates to the app of casinos, always check the legitimate website and source.
932  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Majority of investors are quitting, what are you doing? on: June 15, 2023, 01:13:52 PM
If you've been into this market and you understand that this is a long term market then there's no exit point in here and there's no quitting.

Like in every cycle that we're seeing, there's always this villain type that will make negative news for the market to plummet and this is what we every time whenever we've been up.

Although we're not up yet, these villains like for this case the SEC/Gensler understands of what's about to come next year which is the bitcoin halving.

With these few cycles we should feel understood. No need to panic, but sometimes professional traders have better knowledge so they are able to manage or enter the market correctly. This may not be true for all, but cycles have proven that there is always a positive side that makes the market better. I've proven that from 2015. Although not all cryptos can survive, there are still many opportunities with certain coins.
There's no question to those that have been into professional crypto trading, they make money for every situation of the market. But those people like me that's just a simple long term holder, we won't feel any panic on these as we've experienced it many times.

It's true that many cryptos won't survive when we get through the bear which is for this cycle is likely done. But one thing is for sure is that Bitcoin will always gets its own time to recover and everything is going to be fine again.

So don't be afraid, take advantage of this moment if you have free funds.
Exactly, buy the dip and use your spare time and take profits when the bull comes.
933  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 15, 2023, 10:40:58 AM
Dude, I really like KCP.

He's been traded after winning the title with Lakers and now he's with the Denver Nuggets. I hope that he won't be traded again and he's good to stay with his team. They've got a chemistry and he's always there when he's needed on those important minutes of the game.

I'm not a big KCP fan but I will say that picking him up was the final piece they needed to get over the top.  I think he's the weak spot in their starting rotation but does his job well enough for them to win at the highest level.  I'd be looking to upgrade him or continue developing Bruce Brown to take his spot.  The Lakers on the other hand could have used him on their roster and I think losing players like KCP and Dwight Howard are the reason the Lakers struggled after their bubble win.
Yeah, he's playing like that when he's needed most. There have been other contributing players that have been traded like Kuzma from the Lakers just after they've won the bubble.

I'm a little curious what actions the Nuggets are going to take with their roster this offseason.  As long as they keep Jokic, Gordon, Porter, & Murray though, they'll be just fine.
I guess that they'll keep it up with their current roster as this is like the historical championship for them. So, if it worked for this past season then they might test it again for the upcoming one.
934  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How Do You Get Out Of A Trade in Coinbase? on: June 15, 2023, 08:53:35 AM
1. I buy Bitcoin using the PC Coinbase platform.
2. It goes up and I want to get out of the trade to make a profit.
3. The trade is still open.
4. I open the trade and the only option is "Cancel."
5. I click "Cancel" and the order is canceled.
6. I don't make or lose any money.
How Do I Get Out Of The Trade Without Canceling It?

Thank you for taking the time to read my post and replying. Smiley
Look at your account's dashboard and see how much you've got there and look at the history of your trades if you're able to cancel it as what you've said.

Then, when you see those amounts that you've got as your balance in your account and you already want to get out then the last thing you'll have to do is withdraw it. If ever you still got funds there on your Coinbase account.

And before committing your next trade, study first the platform itself so that you're aware of those buttons and what you'll do whether you'll proceed or cancel a trade.

KCP is now twice a NBA champion, first with the Lakers and now with Denver Nuggets.

The Denver Nuggets will be able to value their dependable player even more so it would be impossible to trade KCP who helped to claim the title.
KCP will be able to be a Nuggets player for much longer and I'm sure he can give the best for the Nuggets in the next few championships.
That's also what I am thinking of unlike the Lakers management. After winning the championship, many of their key players were traded but despite that they still managed to get into the playoffs even if they had a terrible start last season.

I also quite like KCP because the way he plays, in my opinion, often gives unexpected surprises that makes opposing players a little confused about taking action.
We can look on when he's being used by Malone. And those were like the crucial times and when important plays needed to be made and he's there.
936  Economy / Economics / Re: App to monitor financial world events - what are you using ? on: June 14, 2023, 04:04:00 PM
It's actually a good practice when you're doing it with your spare time because you'll discover a lot from these websites. And subscribing to their newsletter is probably one of those features that you'll like but it goes through your email.
Using a subscription feature may be good because it will get the news update in detail from a platform, but I think it will spend a lot of funds, unless you work in data and financial information which then you have to make content about finances also to get the income is good, it might be good, But if you only see financial news as an analysis to make an investment decision factor I think too much too, because basically today information about financial news is also still a lot of free without having to take a subscription feature, you only need to wait for the platfom that gives news for free.
Yeah but the difference couldn't really be that much from the free subscription that you do with their newsletters which is just for free.

Most of these information are for free but you just have to spend time looking for them. So that's why people who like to get it even with a fee is normal for them and that's where they're saving time.

Not that bad at all but as I've said, the info might not really differ that much.

It's done. He can go home now. He had been itching to be back in his country.  Grin There's a horse race coming up.
Is this Jokic? I've just watched an interview of him that he certainly likes to stay on their stable.

I agree to Upgrade, that's much easier. Although I know that it's gonna be easier if you're a busy person but having a few minutes of your time visiting websites like CNBC or any other websites that you prefer that covers those topics, news and updates that you need.

It's actually a good practice when you're doing it with your spare time because you'll discover a lot from these websites. And subscribing to their newsletter is probably one of those features that you'll like but it goes through your email.
940  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What should you look for in a DEX? on: June 13, 2023, 02:49:15 AM
Volume/liquidity, mostly that's what I am looking for and next is if they're known and what kind of reputation they've got.

Honestly, before I was too optimistic with DEXes not until I started to see the lack of security of many of them and they've always been targeted by hackers and only a few of them manages to respond from those attacks until many of them closed.

And that optimism that I've got for DEX have already lost when most people are going and adding volume not on them but for the centralized exchanges.
