321  Economy / Gambling / Re: "Exploring RITZ Sports Bet: The Future of Decentralized and Centralized Betting on: January 15, 2024, 11:12:45 AM
We've got like these decentralized casinos and bookies in the past but they're like few to none of them became famous and stable. I haven't seen a hybrid platform but I think that most bettors stay where they're used to gamble.

Like the centralized ones, it has become the norm these days for most bettors to just stay on them whether you are for the casino games or sports betting, you stay where you're more familiar and comfortable to gamble with.

So, the centralized ones are likely to stay and last longer than any of these new types.
322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How you can build trust in the crypto community? on: January 14, 2024, 11:03:14 PM
It is very simple IMHO although I don't have any projects that I need to build its trust and it's different from the actual person like you that actually builds it than someone who is just giving some theories and opinions.

But since you've asked for our opinions, with what I've said for being simple is that you need to be transparent and that's all.

Transparent in all aspects of the project, codes, funding, marketing, and all of the concerns that will be asked to you, to be answered with transparency.
323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You'll be a discipline gambler in sports if you have a real bankroll. on: January 14, 2024, 09:08:22 PM
I know that it's just an example but having that amount is quite low and I doubt it that I'll be able to survive for that amount for a month. The days are going to be different and I don't even know if a week is enough for that week because it's likely just a few days.

Why?

Because many anticipation is that I am going to lose that money easily even if I'll do that in esports betting which is I'm quite aware of the scene and I like doing it there.

So, this varies per gambler and if some are going to say that they can grow that easy. Well, for me, I don't know what I can do with that but most likely I'll just lose it.
324  Economy / Economics / Re: Financial education and why it should be a priority. on: January 14, 2024, 07:28:45 PM
Financial education is a skill that is not been taught in schools, but to me it's the most important subject a man must learn in other to be financially independent.
There is a need to revise these curriculum and syllabuses of the schools and we need more of these type of education than of the subjects that teaches us theoretical things.

I am not against with the current system but change is need for the younger generation to understand what is a must in today's world.

Not just about financial education but also other things like life survival skills, cooking at a young age but I know some schools does this but it is not a standard for most.
325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your thoughts on VIP Programs in casinos? on: January 13, 2024, 10:51:59 PM
It's having the best customers and handling them with the best customer experience that they can also give to the VIPs. As they are bringing in a lot of money, they deserve the treatment that they need to be given as special customers.

That's it on my part.

If I'll be a VIP of a casino, that's what I am expecting from them and with every concern, I expect expedite response from them.

Well, that's what I am expected too If i were a VIP so that I can somehow get the most out of the membership I paid for being a VIP. I also want that kind of expedite and special assistance if I'm the one who gambles, Plus the benefits and priviledge that I can get.

With some casinos, going to that part is will be determined with how much you wager weekly or monthly. If some allows to pay for that membership then that's another way for them to profit.

if I'm rich and can afford to pay the membership fee, I'll definitely be a VIP too, who wouldn't want that, right?
Show them off through your wagers and that's going to make them determine that you're rich and they're able to have one. So, it's either you reach certain amount of wager to become a VIP or you really have to pay for it.
326  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who is selling? Fractonal CEX on: January 13, 2024, 12:59:12 PM
I doubt that.

There was this point that no one actually wants to sell and maybe that's from the point after 2021 bull run. And that means that the sky is the limit on the next cycle.

CEXes are needed to sell every time there will be buyer. At some point as well, there goes the few of them that has to halt trading or specific buy orders for them to mitigate the influx of the traders on them.

Now with bigger players, this is why everyone needs to set their timing on when they're going to sell. Most of these fin companies are willing to take and buy all of the possible Bitcoins that they can have especially that there were BTC spot etfs approved already.
327  Economy / Economics / Re: What would be your stance if Bitcoin price was individually negotiable as a P2P on: January 12, 2024, 05:13:39 PM
There is the market, and this market is free and we, the people are setting the price based on the demand from the factors that sets the price.

You're free to name your price for the Bitcoin that you own but as much as you can see, there's the market price and that's being followed by everybody.

You can set a high price and wait until someone is willing to buy at that price or negotiate it depending on the platform if it's allowed to message the seller/buyer.
328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your thoughts on VIP Programs in casinos? on: January 12, 2024, 03:18:31 PM
With VIP programs, the bonuses and eligibility for such programs are just a bonus. What matters to me in being like that is about the treatment of the casino.

You won't be called VIP for no reason, do you?

They have a different treatment from the regular customers to the VIP customers and that's the essence for me for being part of the VIP program. When I have concerns, they'll address and solve the issue quickly.

One thing about being a VIP is that, the casino dealer that will handle you is one of the best employee of the casino company and most of them are the company's best pick. That's why they will be having an additional pay if they handled VIP's and it's a priviledge for them to have those VIP because they will get another bonus or tip from them.
It's having the best customers and handling them with the best customer experience that they can also give to the VIPs. As they are bringing in a lot of money, they deserve the treatment that they need to be given as special customers.

That's it on my part.

329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does signing up with affiliate links gives these benefits? on: January 12, 2024, 01:25:05 AM
That's not true.

The influencer or the affiliate is just trying to make it good look that you'll be served as if you're a VIP if you sign under their link. Of course, that's a marketing strategy on his/her end while it's a win for the casino.

Whether you win big or small, if the casino has traced something with your activity and account, they're going to halt you and delay your possible withdrawal.

There's no special treatment with that unless you are the actual influencer or ambassador.

that is true, there is no proof about their claim for not having trouble if you signed up using their affiliate link. it may be a promotional tactic for players to use their link. we can never be sure about this as it is an internal concern and we have no way of determining if this is true or not. either way, the better route to practice is read the terms of the site and as much as possible abide their tasks as stipulated in their terms and conditions to avoid issues on the site.
Don't believe with all the words that these marketers are saying. They're under the contract of the casino and definitely will say all of the good things that you want to hear for you just to try them out.

Many of these influencers are exaggerating and can't stand on what they've said when someone encounters a problem. You know what's next they're going to say?

They'll just make an apology and will give a possible false promise that they're going to help you out along the process and will inform the casino's management about your trouble.

332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Things in Binance Under New CEO - What are your thoughts? on: January 11, 2024, 12:22:42 PM
If it's about the benefit of the entire crypto community, I like CZ more because he's very vocal to what he's saying that we're going to like. But of course there are things that we can't agree on him.

Compare to the new CEO whom is Teng. I don't think that we can compare him to CZ as he's done more than him and he's just starting out and there are more work and progress to do.

There's more exposure to CZ than him and that's why it's just hard to compare.
333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: PI Network! A huge trap[Warning!] on: January 10, 2024, 11:42:13 PM
That's pretty sad if it managed that they just sold data about the people who trusted in this Pi network. It's just not gonna work, you know? I do a lot of people asking to "buy" the Pi they have generated but all I see with it is a possible scam.
I see people selling their pis but no one is interested on buying them, where it is actually listed and are there real market on it?

IIRC, there's an exchange that made one copy cat of it for it's trending and that has became popular for a while but it's not the actual pi that these people are mining but it was just an exchange made token with the same name.

Well, with that exchange, it has able to manage to ride on that hype and made lots of money.
334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: January 10, 2024, 09:34:44 PM
@sunsilk
Ah I see. But usually if an org is successful in the other genres they can apply their victories funding into their DOTA2 endeavor if they wish to do so.
That's true, since they've got a lot of budget and willing to expand, they'll do so. And this is what I am seeing in the dota 2 community, while some known Dota 2 orgs have left because of being unsuccessful. The other orgs from other genres are willing to take risk and try.

Wasn't Faze clan starting to scale back their operations in Esports?
Maybe they have since recovered and not going bankrupt from the videos I last watched about their company:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=unEZS2GIYW8
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wBwGScoPs74

As 5-9 months ago is very long time to make a comeback in Esports for any team.
It will take time because if they're new to the genre even if they're good in the actual genre they've been with for years, it's true that they might find success long time before it finally does.

I'll take a look at those videos, thanks rdbase.
335  Economy / Economics / Re: How to stay poor! on: January 10, 2024, 07:57:37 PM
Those are the mistakes that people have been doing and retain themselves in being poor. Also, you can add having the poor mindset like, it's okay to be poor but we're happy.

That's always the reasoning from those people that don't want to get up with their lives and content with their living. Not a problem if they're having like that but having a poor mindset will keep them being poor.

Once they experience that it's better to have a better living to get out of poverty, they're going to be the opposite of what they've been believing all these days of their lives.
336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: January 09, 2024, 11:07:54 PM
Another org entered the SA scene and it's Heroic(tweet). The downside with SA is that the slots are limited, so the path to qualification only gets harder.
I think that many orgs want to explore Dota 2 that are from other esports like CS2 and LOL. But it is that they've got a limited budgeting on their start and most of them when they don't see good start with the roster they've built, they're too quick to disband it.

On the other hand, Puppey's team - Team Secret have a new roster update. Midone and yamich out while Kordan and ekki in. I have no idea who's this ekki but if he's a young talent, better.
That seems the way these eSports organizations are progressing towards ever since FaZe Clan disbanded several of their own teams based in other genres.
That Heroic announcement was a kind of shock but a good one to know about. Thanks for the link to the post on X about it.
I don't even follow these other good teams in other genre esports but I know how good they are as an organization and how popular they are.

If more SA based teams are coming into the DOTA2 arena then hopefully we will see one for Imperial Esports be unveiled in the near future too.
Who knows if the org will also be joining the dota 2 scene whether it's gonna be with the SA region or any other region they prefer. In the past, there's T1 but they're done already. Maybe FaZe would join dota 2 too? we don't know, only time can tell.
337  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Anyway to be smart about this? on: January 09, 2024, 10:56:26 AM
My friend wanted to move the token to a new wallet he has created because he knows that when the token gets listed on the exchange, it will be profitable. So, what he actually did was give the wallet phrase to about three friends and ask them to import the wallet on their device. After which, all of them had an agreement that one person among the four of them would send BNB to the wallet, which would serve as a gas fee, while the other three people would initiate a withdrawal after the BNB deposit was successful.

It was like a rescue mission, lol, but

It actually worked like that: the token was successfully withdrawn, and the rest of the left-over BNB also got automatically withdrawn to the hacker's wallet.
LOL, this is nice and mission impossible. What I was thinking is almost the same as this but not going to involve other people but only him and that's really about monitoring the end of the staking period.

That's all what he has to do but this is a better and more brilliant idea. I think if the period is still quite long then OP's friend with some help of their friends as well can just do the same as this.

Much better if the wallet itself doesn't need more any gas fee or it's actually BNB for which no need to have any deposits which might detect by the API of the hacker.
338  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which wallet can i use for my needs on: January 09, 2024, 08:35:13 AM
Trust wallet? I have never used that but it's owned by Binance nowadays, right? As a start, go for it with caution but don't keep a lot on it.
Yes it is owned by Binance and it is not recommended, Trust Wallet is closed source and we cannot be sure how the keys of their customers' were generated. If a wallet is closed source, it is enough reason not to use it.
Even if we tell the newbies not to use, you'll still see many of them that will use it regardless of the reasons we tell them and that's why if they want to use it, use it with caution and don't keep too much on it.

They have a lot to learn but if they want it the harder way, they'll experience some things that we've experienced before and learned from it. I just hope that many of them will obey the tips that were given to them.

Moreover, if you only use hardware or software for Bitcoin, then Electrum and Mycelium wallets will provide you with maximum security.
We actually need to use hardware(device) and software for wallets and access them.
339  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which wallet can i use for my needs on: January 08, 2024, 08:03:14 PM
Most of the suggested wallets are good for storing Bitcoin only, since it's a critical asset that you need to keep. You are better to start with those wallets that have mentioned and don't go yet with most altcoins.

There are a lot of multiwallets available if you are into altcoins too. A hardware wallet supports multicryptocurrencies but most of the apps that you can download if you don't own a HW yet, you shouldn't trust them that much with your funds since most of them are closed sourced.

Trust wallet? I have never used that but it's owned by Binance nowadays, right? As a start, go for it with caution but don't keep a lot on it.
340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Continuous Launchpool on Binance on: January 08, 2024, 06:09:07 PM
Well, good luck to those who are holding BNBs and joining these launchpools. I mean there's nothing wrong with it since it's free money.
Yeah, they're free money at all.

As long as you can bear whatever happens with your holdings there since it's BNB, that's totally fine. I've missed a lot of these airdrops on the launch pools because I don't have that much BNB.

But I see that people are getting serious on it and holding bunch of BNBs there for this actual purpose, they're making good free money at all but their capitals are quite high and I can't do that.
