My mini uses the exermax 850w Gold PSU can I push to 450mhz? I am getting low temps at night around 40c at 409mhz with 80% fans but Im wondering if its safe to push the unit that hard I am just trying to see the limits of this machine.. I am not seeing hash rates over 55gh/s below 400mhz on the firmware Im running (20130821). I have tried a few different versions but I do not see the same results that others post. I would love to be running at 345mhz but I cant even break 55gh/s its more like 50gh/s. I tired this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=240810.msg2552362#msg2552362 with no luck. At 409mhz I peak at 70~gh/s but its more like 65-60gh/s with HW <2% This pic is with --quite not 80% fans. I have seen temp 1 as low a 7c but hovers around 11c mostly. Sorry if this is not the place for this. I did see a post in this thread yesterday that had a few links to OC threads but I could not find it again today. The only numbers that are important to you are the ones on the pool, disregard all numbers you see in the miner stats. I think your hardware increase when heat goes up to much, and thats when you are reaching low results.. stick to 375 on --avalon-auto i think is best. (skip quiet). I get 60gh on mines.. but i restart cgminer automatically every 4 hours. It keeps hw errors low. (0821).

hi guys, how do i track miners separately as i see some addresses on the top list doing it? i have tried googling and your docs, with no info! Would be great to be able to track each worker separately..

So my 4 module, Batch #3 unit I have had since August 7th.
It has found 4 blocks on Slush's pool in less than 3 months. Thats 100BTC vs 47 BTC earned on Slush pool.
I am considering using my Avalon (110 gh/s) to solo mine and my Bitfury (170gh/s) to Pool mine.
What are you guys thoughts?
You are crazy if you are solo mining today with anything less than 25 TH/s. The variance is going to kill you. You have a very significant chance of losing it all. yeah well i just found 2 blocks yesterday on a 110gh/s machine. The calculators are not very accurate for solo block generation as they cannot predict chance of luck, etc. My idea is dedicate some hash power to solo mining and some to pool mining. When solo mining becomes luckier than pool mining i switch to all pool mining and maximize my return. that is an extreme luck. Look at total amount of shares mined on your pool for those blocks, and HOW MANY shares you were participating in..then you can easily calculate your amount of luck.. Extreme!

On this date: 2013-10-20 It took eligius 5 hours 35 minutes and 56 seconds to find a block, using a total of: 1,540,824,552 shares. This was mining at 328.33 Th. The amount of shares your avalon had, was a fraction of that. The fastest mined shares on eligius are based on shares in the millions.. You finding 4 shares, just proves luck within the share space.

Long time Avalon owner. Always had an issue on my Batch 2/3 4 module where if I oc'd too much I would get a decrease in GH eventually (sometimes 20-40%). Run those @ 335 (auto 325-335) 24/7 around 107GH and they maybe restart cgminer once or twice a week but never slow down. Really loved the 20130821 firmware. So I now have 7 minis running (stock 20130723), and let me tell you now 2-3 of them have so far had this issue where they slow down to under 30GH as low as 4GH or so? GAH! Changed the worst two to 20130821 and will see. However I am disappointed, it appears the --avalon-auto option doesn't work? (currently set 350 clock on page with these options: --quiet --avalon-auto --avalon-temp 50 --avalon-cutoff 70 --avalon-freq 350-375 ) < Those settings never show above 350 on the status page. Setting 375 manually works. put a sheduled task to restart cgminer, hash is same, hw error increases. i had same issue, after restarting cgminer every 4 hrs untouched for weeks, and constant max.. im having problems with my miner dropping low hash rate after hashing for a while, how do i set a scheduled task to restart cgminer? sorry. very new here! thanks for any help Scroll back a few pages. it's here!

Man seriously, a handful of avalon minis, got server room up from 20dgr to 24dgr running 2 ac units on full 16dgr. These would be incredible placeheaters if one would be deaf!

So I have managed to get failsafe working (thru telnet), but running into problems when trying to ssh. root@(none):/# ssh 192.168.1.1 -l root ssh: Exited: Error connecting: Connection timed out root@(none):/# ssh 192.168.1.2 -l root ssh: Exited: Error connecting: Connection refused Hm, if you are logged in on telnet, where are you trying to connect with ssh? i mean, the failsafe is already running on telnet for you to access. and it shows that you are logged in.. I suggest you, when logged in on telnet do: more /etc/config/network Show the output here. I assume it is a fixed ip-address you set a while back. Put your pc on an ip on the same subnet, with that, you will be able to access the web admin using the ip you got from the above command and configure the unit again.

Wow ~$2k for just that domain name? Kinda makes me wonder what my domain name (cam4btc.com) is worth ...
Would be worth right around what you bought it for. $10. Numbers as directions are rarely worth anything.. make sure you get 2cam4btc.com and cam2btc.com, then you secure your portfolio of $30 worth of domains! Thanks for the info. Value is really counter intuitive then. I wouldn't spend much on a domain name any day but I'd certainly pay a lot more for cam4btc than for btc with a random letter added to the end. I can see bitcoin.com or btc.com going for a lot though. Ah well, in dutch we say: "Wat de gek ervoor geeft" Yes, any 3 letter domain are $10k+, can even be $100k+ (letter, not numbers and letters). .com 3 letter that is.. not any other tld. But lets wish this seller best of luck and stop bumping his thread with posts not related to his.

Who is Hi_Max on the written paper?

That could be. Also there is a config file with the fixed ip on normal boot when in failsafe mode (that could be reason of not able to access it in browser mode as the ip could become an old one, was the case for me). this is where you set ip in openwrt if you entered it wrong: vi /etc/config/network config interface 'lan' option ifname 'eth0' option type 'bridge' option proto 'static' option ipaddr '192.168.0.100' option netmask '255.255.255.0' option gateway '192.168.0.1' option broadcast '' option dns ''

Just to clarify, In Network settings for ethernet I will be manually setting IPv4 to 192.168.1.2 and then using the terminal to ssh 192.168.1.1. (Just tried this and ssh connection timed out)
EDIT: And yes, was using your most recent FW, booted first time (with non-saved settings), then could not connect once reset. Was I missing something?
If you have set the IPv4 address of your avalon to 192.168.1.2 you also have to ssh to the same address or use your webbrowser (the address of the avalon thus 192.168.1.2). Cheers Thanks, but I am still getting 'connection refused' when trying to ssh. With and without hitting the reset button. Hrmmm. It's telnet, not ssh from what i know in failsafe mode.
