101  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Jetwin casino is stealing over 30,000 dollars in winnings from me on: July 23, 2020, 10:37:19 AM
I dont know what kyc is but i have identification if thats what you mean where else can i complain about this so that i can get the word out they have always paid me before but its never been this much its like every game i played was hitting. I dont know what to do
Alex already answered this, and you answered it yourself, too, when you said that you never withdrew that much. Please read his reply, again, and don't panic. Smiley
102  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Sportsbet.io (Withholding funds) on: July 21, 2020, 03:02:36 PM
sounds like a traditional casino kicking out a gambler after winning too much
Considering the amounts they regularly deal with, this is a ridiculous thing to assume.

But still, it would be nice if sportsbet.io would share their findings. Even if it's substantiated and you do have evidence, it's not okay to just come here and say "we don't put anymore time in this matter". People have questions.

@OP: Just fyi, there's much more they can do to identify multiple accounts, going far beyond the IP address. For example, every computer has a unique timestamp (no computer clock has the exact same time as another one). Matching such timestamps alone is a good way to identify multiaccounting. But also your browser, with all its addons, extensions, operating system it runs on etc gives a quite clear fingerprint.
So, even if someone switches IP in his VPN, there is still plenty of identifiable information when visiting a website.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Qortal Genesis - The Infrastructure for the Internet of the Future on: July 19, 2020, 02:25:45 PM
Discord channel has now been abandoned. They were under attacks - multiple barrages from all angles possible, devised, probably by zilliqa team. Coz you know, ZIL zealots would strafe even projects unrelated to theirs, to derail, compromise and possibly procrastinate their development. Im surprised to find that you guys are still independent thinkers, and have not migrated to more fertile and much greener zilliqa paddocks. They pay developers more money, they hire more people, can u imagine, with all that cash they have.
I have no idea what you're talking about.
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Qortal Genesis - The Infrastructure for the Internet of the Future on: July 18, 2020, 01:08:11 PM
I said before that scammer only trying to scam people. This is not useful and the discord is now like children place. No leader and no dev left. All left  Grin
This is abolute nonsense. Also, let me remind you how enthusiastic you were when you were part of that Discord. Now you're trash talking the project. Let's keep it civil, buddy.
105  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [scam] Twitter hacked and Cryptoforhealth on: July 16, 2020, 01:20:50 PM
This is the biggest Twitter hack till date. I want to believe that verified accounts have extra security - say 2FA, Auth etc prior to the hack. So it means the cause of the hack isn't from the user's side but Twitter.  Since those accounts were all verified accounts, it only means that the hack was targeted at only verified accounts with huge amount of followers. What's interesting about the entire saga is the fact that they only targeted well known accounts.

Twitter has been the de-facto platform for people to engage on a professional level, this hack leaves a lot of questions on how secured the platform is.
I wouldn't call what's going on on Twitter "professional" Grin but you're right in one point: the source of this was Twitter. But it was not a hack, it was – as pointed out above – a social engineering attack on one of their gullible employees who just had access to the admin panel.

Someone likely (I'm assuming) scooped the passwords (maybe when the employee logged in?), logged himself in into the admin panel and started posting in the names of other high profile accounts. Nothing got hacked.
106  Local / Altcoins (Deutsch) / Re: Was haltet ihr von QORA ?!? on: July 13, 2020, 07:27:52 PM

- unten links "switch to mainnet" geklickt?

Code:
http://127.0.0.1:9085/addresses/seed/QMeineQoraAdresse

Smiley
107  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Have you ever heard of FAKE Elon Musk giveaways? Here is one... on: July 11, 2020, 10:45:03 AM
There's also a (relatively known) similar one where the scammers take a popular video, in this case from Elon Musk, put it on YouTube and add information for such "giveaways". They have thousands of bots commenting the video, making it seem legit to the unsuspecting visitor.

They're really putting some effort into this, however one rarely hears from victims who fell prey to these kinds of scams.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Qortal Genesis - The Infrastructure for the Internet of the Future on: July 11, 2020, 07:59:35 AM
Make sure you are using the individual seed to that account, not the seed to the group of accounts.
Yes, that's likely the problem. Always make sure to export your single QORA keys for that very address. If you burned your QORA (sent them to the genesis block), you should be included and it should work @iamlemon
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Qortal Genesis - The Infrastructure for the Internet of the Future on: July 10, 2020, 08:34:27 PM
I did it in Windows and got constant >50% CPU usage by Qortal.exe. What's the catch?
Can't really tell, sorry. I've heard developers talk about some 20-30% being realistic, which shouldn't be much of an issue if you have a couple of cores.
For me (GNU/Linux with OpenJDK as Java environment), it runs on an average of 5-25%, mostly it jumps between, say, 9 and 22%.

Alternatively, you can install it on a remote server; member Llama has posted a great article on how to do that: https://medium.com/@RealCryptoLlama/how-to-setup-a-qortal-node-on-a-digitalocean-vps-ab70d3be2484
This way, you won't have to deal with Windoze in relation to QORT... might be worth a shot. Smiley

Disclaimer: I don't know much about the remote desktop software used in this post, so can't really say much about it... but it should also be possible to get it to run without GUI
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Qortal Genesis - The Infrastructure for the Internet of the Future on: July 09, 2020, 01:13:52 PM
Hello, I ran nodes of Qora a long time and sent Hundreds of millions Qora coins to the genesis address. How can I get a minting account of Qortal?
Install Qortal Core + UI, have your QORA address seed ready, launch the run.sh (GNU/Linux) or run.bat (Windoze) Script to start the core, run the UI, choose "Login", then "QORA Address Seed", enter your seed, done. Smiley

I just looked that up and have the link handy:

http://wiki.qortal.org/doku.php?id=qort_model_-_leveling_system

bottom of the page..

Thanks! I've checked the code also (file: blockchain.json), and there (last line) it says:
Code:
  "rewardsByHeight": [
    { "height": 1, "reward": 5.00 },
    { "height": 259201, "reward": 4.75 },

    { "levels": [ 5, 6 ], "share": 0.15 },
    { "levels": [ 7, 8 ], "share": 0.20 },
    { "levels": [ 9, 10 ], "share": 0.25 }
  ],
  "qoraHoldersShare": 0.20,
  "qoraPerQortReward": 250,
  "blocksNeededByLevel": [ 7200, 64800, 129600, 172800, 244000, 345600, 518400, 691200, 864000, 1036800 ],
How I understood it, it takes 7200 blocks after getting sponsored reaches you level 1, 7200+64800 level 2 etc... but the documentation says level 1 to 2 is 129600 blocks. I might have gotten something wrong, but I'm not sure. Smiley
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Qortal Genesis - The Infrastructure for the Internet of the Future on: July 05, 2020, 11:27:06 AM
This is retarded. Qort will list any junk u submit to them. They elucidated that listing cuckold coins will made simpler than ever before. It is a common misconception that tacky coins should be weeded out, for the sake of keeping corporate etiquette in which Qort has no interest. These guys are very open and will do whatever u command them to do.
I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic, tbh.

I somehow want to agree to you. Crowetic looks like he will do anything you want. He keeps the top developers hidden and only come front and talk only. Who is in charge of everything in truth ? Only catbraf and dmax do the developing and now damx is not on Discord server why? Crowetic talk only and go back.
MRPD is mad because my devs couldn't be bought, he attempted to steal dmax from me and failed, when dmax told him to get bent. So now he comes in and feels entitled to having developers of our team's caliber without putting in any real effort. Too bad in order to find the best people, you have to not be a greedy fool only out for yourself. Maybe think about that next time MRPD.
Edit: I also think you guys should keep this kind of talk out of the thread, maybe use the dm feature or the ignore button. We've barely launched and I can't imagine any universe where this is helpful in any way. Let's keep things clean and civil.
Quote
Levels 1+2 = share 5%
Levels 3+4 = share 10%
Levels 5+6 = share 15%
Levels 7+8 = share 20%
Levels 9+10 = share 25%
How to make sure the voting system and result won't be compromised? There are 10 levels and 5 categories of share, 5% in minimum for levels 1 & 2 to 25% in maximum for levels 9 and 10. It means that last category (levels 9 & 10) has 5 times higher in received shares than the first category (level 1 & 2). People will try to move up to the higher and the highest categories ASAP.

It potentially causes many types of fraudulent voting activities on chain. I would prefer to learn more about the voting system and protective system to prevent any sort of compromises.
Also worth mentioning: it's going to take a very long time until anyone will even be able to reach the higher levels. I'm not sure about how long it takes for level 5 to reach 6 (maybe someone from the core developers can help out here... a table with that info would be nice!), and until that happens, the block reward will have declined quite a bit, and – hopefully – many others are running nodes, so the rewards are spread between many parties.

There are a few points which I can't pinpoint how they will play out. Much of the consensus in QORT is new, and I'm not sure if Cryptoland had projects with a similar approach. Things like "nothing at stake" come to mind, but talking to the developers, they've had plenty of arguments why it shouldn't be a problem, long term. Maybe one of them can drop a few words here. Smiley
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Qortal Genesis - The Infrastructure for the Internet of the Future on: July 03, 2020, 06:06:14 PM
Checkout qortal.org – there's a wiki with lots of knowledge.

To answer in short, you don't mine. In Qortal, we have a minting process similar to PoS, but you don't need coins at stake, you need a sponsor who sponsors you in order to convert your account into a minting account (which happens 7200 blocks later, so close to five days, I think).

Then, your level 0 account becomes level 1 and your account becomes part of the pool of level 1 and level 2 accounts, which share 5% of the block rewards (5 QORT each block).

The levels are (100% are 5 QORT, each block):

level 1 and 2: 5%
level 3 and 4: 10%
level 5 and 6: 15%
level 7 and 8: 20%
level 9 and 10: 25%

Hope that helps. Smiley

Edit: getting a minting account sponsored right now should be pretty hard, as there were only few level 5 accounts on the network after start. So you'll have to wait a few days until the slots are free again, after 7200 blocks have passed for the current sponsors.

Join the Discord, there's a room for everybody who wants sponsoring. Smiley
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Qortal Genesis - The Infrastructure for the Internet of the Future on: July 03, 2020, 04:11:23 PM
I don't know about charging for it, I don't think that will be within my overall vision, but we'll take a vote on that as well
Just an idea, as I – as a developer myself – know that developers need some more than fresh air and sunshine to survive. Wink
But if it's possible to integrate features without this, great. Was just tossing around ideas. Smiley

I didn't really have the word "charging" in mind, more like donations, which could even inspire other developers to code for Qortal, giving incentive to grow the ecosystem with external applications. Kind of like a marketplace for things people want. With the difference that it's not coins which are traded, but services.

We have pushed a small auto-update with mostly some overall networking fixes and other little things, network should begin updating shortly.
I saw it! Like an hour ago, the qortal core's splash screen suddenly popped up on my desktop, again. Guess that was the update mechanism in action!
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Qortal Genesis - The Infrastructure for the Internet of the Future on: July 02, 2020, 08:41:56 PM
Ok so I understood wrong. It is tokens and coins.
Generally, everything is possible. But at the beginning, it makes total sense to add those cryptocurrencies which have big demand and liquidity. Also, it's a lot easier to list Bitcoin clones when you already have Bitcoin implemented than listing something completely new.

Generally, I like the idea of having the decision making process based on votes. As a suggestion, maybe it makes sense to combine funding with the implementation of voting based features and listings? Because that way, implementations with high demand can be easily determined AND developers receive compensation for developing features. Keeps the incentive high for everyone. Smiley
116  Local / Biete / [Biete] Qortal $QORT – QORA Nachfolger on: July 02, 2020, 01:00:50 PM

118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Qortal Genesis - The Infrastructure for the Internet of the Future on: June 30, 2020, 02:52:37 PM
We really did it. Hats off to all the developers involved in this project. We are live, now. Cool

I still remember when Polo delisted QORA, and then, the story of QORT began. A long time with lots of decisions, changes, ideas and a growing community of supporters to the project of all kinds. Awesome, I still can't really believe that I'm now minting actual blocks. It's a special moment. The QORT developers did an amazing job, so far.

I've set everything up, got my minting accounts from my old QORA accounts. The wallet looks nice and clean. What I really like is the API with the Swagger API Docs. This is lit, and it inspires programmers to build on QORT. Thumbs up! Can't wait for the trading feature to get released. Smiley
119  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM - Blockchain.com & HackerOne.com didn't pay a major bug bounty & fixed bug. on: June 24, 2020, 09:08:07 PM
They treated the whole situation in the worst way possible. The very least thing they could have done was to acknowledge that their implementation of 2FA was pointless, instead of pretending it worked as intended. What's the point of second factor auth as an additional barrier, if anyone can gain access to that barrier once the previous barrier(s) the 2FA is supposed to harden are broken? This doesn't make sense.

Generally, I think someone who leaves his computer in a coffee shop with the trading platform open, logged in, and hell, even with the password manager open, deserves some kind of lesson, though. This is not how you're supposed to opsec when dealing with crypto. But the way they treated this whole thing is just ridiculous. Best part is how they play offended by revoking the 50 bucks now.
120  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 1xbit account locked after tried to withdraw about 4 BTC on: June 24, 2020, 06:46:08 PM
Check the Google search results. There are plenty of accusations against them. From what I've read, it might help to stay persistent. Don't give up on your money.

The problem is that they're advertising quite aggressively, leading to more and more victims.
