The new build for windows is almost ready. A few small changes left."

Yay! can't wait.

... Also, the Cryptsy situation impacts trading possibilities for DMD holders, DMD price and buy support on Bittrex is weak. I would personally like to see DMD multipool/cloudmining moved to Bittrex to help a little with buy pressure and it would also benefit shareholders since the DMD prices on Bittrex is lower at the moment. Further on, the idea of having the ability to choose between exchanges will probably become necessary.

I completely agree!

I also agree, People should ditch Cryptsy completely. Why anyone is trading there now is beyond me when there is Bitrex. I would sugest for now to focus on Bitrex and see how things unfold with Cryptsy and re-consider at a later time.

Cryptsy has had problems for a while now and they could snowball out of control at anytime.

Hi all,

I don't think this legendary thing is a good idea and could bear negatively, as who wants to pay $$$ for what is at best double return, when the future of this coin and every coin is so speculative anyway, its double return of ??, and the return rate will half soon anyway so you will be soon getting later what you get now.

This concept has been created in the mindset of a high value coin where everything goes well. That people who buy in will get an even greater value return. This is all pie in the sky mindset, and I'm saying this as a holder of the coin. It would be a good investment IF everything worked out at the best and utmost for the coin, and I hope it does. So this is a big gamble for anyone wanting to buy in, but as with any coin its a gamble just holding onto a coin anyway.

I have said all along that value only comes with real world exchange for goods and services, forget the gimmicks and sort this out and the sky's the limit.

I'm always encouraged by the teams efforts and very happy to be holding this coin. But this is just what I think, feed back if you will.

might be time to start considering switching everything over to bittrex in regards to multipool/cloudmining. their problems are only getting worse, not better, and they continue to play games with people's coins (like my own). not crediting deposits, withdrawal issues, supposed DDOS attacks, and apparently no one at the helm support wise (besides automated responses to tickets). loyalty is one thing, i respect that, but id hate to see fellow DMD holders lose even a single coin during cryptsy's meltdown.

I've had to put in two support requests with Cryptsy over the past week and both were promptly addressed. They did have a server crash recently but they seem to be up and running again, so I wouldn't assume Cryptsy is becoming unreliable at this point.

Having said that, I do believe it's always good to be on multiple exchanges, and I'd like to put in my vote for Poloniex.

Cryptsy I'm finding is terrible over the last couple of months.
They have had a coin that I trade with there in maintenance for months now and they refuse to give an explanation. (just checked and still the same to this day)

Apart from that some other coins I use there have also been in maintenance on and off to many times to leave me comfortable.
With all the other problems I have heard from others, alarm bells are definitely ringing and I have already taken all my coins out of this exchange awhile ago. Usually when you hear things have gone belly up it is already to late, so I suggest that people be more than cautious with Cryptsy.

Even though their support answers quite quickly it is in my experience an EMPTY response when concerning particular coins.
In the case of particular personnel account issues with particular transactions they have been more detailed and specific as you would have to be.

For them to have any coin in maintenance for an extended period of time strongly suggests that they don't have the maintenance support people and mechanisms in place to deal with it.

For them to have many coins in and out of maintenance continuously strongly suggests the same.

For them not to give proper detailed response as to why any particular coin is in maintenance strongly suggests the same, and/or they do not know why, and/or they have something to hide.

Hopefully they get their act together and sort out their issues, I used to buy and sell there quite a bit but now only if I really have to, in a minimal way.

Hello,

Just changed to and ran the latest client and was surprised that it updated the block data so quickly I didn't notice (wasn't watching), in earlier clients it took a long time to download the block data, is this how it is supposed to be. It seems to be working great and up to date.

Hi skycoin,

Thanks for sending the coins but I am still unable to receive them. I have a new problem.

I am able to start up skycoin ok now, I have the wallet open, and things are working but I'm seeing
"Failed to read from  "
"Failed to connect to  "
"disconnected because: invalid version"
coming up over and over.
The wallet shows a 0 SKY balance.

I have tried a number of times at different times.
What is going on now? Is there anything I can do to fix this?

I have the same thing

Windows client needs to be updated. There were changes in networking
- crypto library has to finish being ported to golang only.
- then cross compilation needs to be setup
- then cross platform builds will be automatic

Fixing that now, then will update client and try to get exchange working.

The issue is person doing windows build, accidentally deleted the virtual machine for the builds. However it forces me to get the crypto port done, which I have been procrastinating on, because it is tedious.

I have been distracted by other things. Getting back to coding.

Thanks for the work your putting into it, I hope this will all be sorted out soon and I can have a working client and wallet. I will then finally be able to get the coins you have sent. Once I see things working I will purchase more as I have been wanting to do for awhile now.
The exchange will be very important to have up and running as soon as possible as well.
Will be great to see things come together in an easy to use and workable fashion.

Hi.
I see a lot of proposals to change the code, and it is the only way to prevent a disaster. see for example what happens to Infinitecoin. When coins of low price and reward POW mining becomes unattractive, the value of the power network, which protects the network from attacks falls to 0. At this point, and might the fork. The hybrid system allows POS & POW coin to survive even at the minimum POW component. So developers should hurry.

yer I agree make it so please.
It would be good to make a definitive discussion and make it happen.

I vote that we rename Skycoin to Conspiracy Coin Wink

Hi Skycoin, thanks for help but in the early wallets I have there is no seed in them. I have new wallets as well and can see the seed. So for some reason not sure why there is just no seed. Unless there's something else that can be done maybe I should just scrap it and start again and re apply for coins again. What do you think?

It does contain an "id" and I can't find an "id" in the new wallet files, however the "id" : "contained numbers and letters" are overall shorter than the seed in newer wallet file. The "id" is also referenced twice at the beginning and at the end of file information.

Create a new wallet. Then send the coins to the new wallet.

You must have had a really early wallet. The first wallets did not have seeds.

The coins you have sent me were to this old wallet address that I am unable to get working. I have not been able to receive them because skycoin wont run with this old wallet. So I have no coins to send anywhere. You will have to re send them.
This is becoming one problem after another with no end in sight.

Maybe we start all over again and I will re apply for some more coins.

Ah. Should not be too difficult. Send me the private key or wallet file, to

BM-2cXFat4fHmeRe8EFJjY3Dzo6RoifcgiKgp

Then send me the Skycoin address you want the coins sent to

Thanks,
All information has been sent.

Hi Skycoin,

Need some help - When you open a wallet file with text editor, how do you identify the "seed" part.
Please be as precise as possible.

Thanks

Thanks mdtspain for at least trying to explain what it is your team is up to, I appreciate you attempting this. Unfortunately its becoming all to confusing to get my head around.

I think the developers are so involved that it is hard to make it look simple.
You might need to do some sort of block diagram showing where your three coins are used where others aren't. Showing why anyone benefits by buying into these coins.

The two positive things I made out of what you said is that your all invested in the coins your looking after and your doing an application for them.

This is the only coin (supercoin) I am invested in that I really haven't a clue what is going on.

I still don't get it. The video I saw was for all coins trading in different exchanges, nothing unique to your coins. the multiwallet or cryptobank is supposed to work with the three coins and connected to decentralized exchange by what I can make out, but whats the point if the decentralized exchange caters for all coins anyway?

You all verywell may have taken on to much with this while not being able to put into it what is needed to keep an inertia of interest in the project. And don't get me wrong as I always appreciate the work that goes into these things and appreciate each and everyone's effort whether things work or not.

I would expect that some new investor that may come across this could look at a paper and know simply and exactly what it is that is happening here, and it should give them the knowledge of what it is that your creating that would make them buy into your coins.

I think this is all a big confusing mess at the moment.

Sorry for being a pain. This is how I see it.
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Trusted-Cryptos Coin Thread [CryptoBank Development] on: August 29, 2015, 06:23:22 AM
Hello Griffith,

Can you please answer my previous question. I would like a definitive answer as to whether this multiwallet is uniquely specific for the three coins you are looking after.

And in addition if the answer is yes, I am presuming the plan would be after this wallet is created and working, to then add to it applications so the coins can be better used, thus hopefully adding value by their usability. Is this correct.

I saw the in wallet trading video and I see this as a separate project. Can you specify what the point is of this project when it isn't specific for the coins your looking after. At the moment I see it as a pointless project with regard to the coins your looking after.

Can you please give simple, absolute, direct and understandable answers without copying posts from the past.

Thank You.

Ok Griffith, Fine, This wallet or may I call it multiwallet, will it be a unique feature for the coins you are looking after?
And will it also incorporate the supersend feature of supercoin?

it includes all coin specific features

Will it be unique for the three coins you are looking after?
Will it be for these coins only?

They are "working" on a something since a year now, but never released something.

Everytime the promised release date is near something unpredictable happens (HDD crash or wtf) and the release is forgotten.

If you followed this thread (and the old ones) it is clear that the only thing you can have "trust" in here is: Nothing will ever be released and you are holding a bunch of shitcoins with no trade volume at all.

I was holding some nice amount of MWC for half a year and fortunatly sold them all at a slight loss. Beside of a failed pump attempt one year ago this coin has 0 BTC trading volume all time and is in danger of delisting from bittrex every month. So stay away from this shitcoin.

I thought you are a group of 6 devs (+ A hired full time dev last year) ? and you didn't manage to deliver something substantial in one year ?  Very trusted ... Ether scam or just fail ...

Get a grip on yourself or just move on. There has been plenty of documentation of progress being made. And please note, the job of this group is not to make you fabulously well-to-do. Though, if patient, things may work out for you. The goal, as is clearly stated, is to make advancements in this scene and stabilize coins that were abandoned for whatever reason. Either way, good luck to you.

Anyone is justified being concerned if they hold any of the three coins that this team is looking after.
An obvious concern to anyone watching this forum would be the time that it is taken for any team member to answer my simple question which I will ask a second time now.

Hi there,
Look I may be a bit confused here, but from what I can see I don't understand that what you are doing is any benefit for the coins you are taking care of. I have only been bothered with supercoin but there doesn't seem to be anything that you are doing that will benifit it or create any more demand for it.
I may be wrong and please correct me if I am and explain what it is that you are doing that is actually good for supercoin. Not trying to be funny. Just want to know.

At the moment I understand there working on some things and that isn't my concern.
My question was how will whatever there doing benifit supercoin. I watched the video from a few posts ago and from what I saw it was nothing unique for the coins they are looking after. It seems to me they have created a crowd from the three different coins following, to promote the stuff there working on, but its no real benifit to the actual coins we hold.

It's a fair enough question - what are you doing that will benefit supercoin?
Please give me a list. I just can't see it, so show me.
