1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPER] SuperCoin v2 - The blazing fast, low fee coin - Tried and tested on: January 22, 2018, 05:27:10 AM
If supercoin can do its job well, being fast anonymous transfers or FAT for short (just having some fun) then it should go really well.
Well done to those in the community that are bringing things together in a cohersive way.
Supercoin is a very fast transfer coin and being anonymous at the same time if anyone chooses, are really great attributes.
It really needs more recognition, having a solid community and history is very important.
The technical side of the anonymous transfers is also very important. Whatever level (for lack of a better way of putting it) of anonymity the coin poseses should be known and understood.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: SUPERCOIN'S REVIVAL on: November 23, 2017, 09:44:37 PM
Ahhh, that feeling of staking 6,000 Super in a 12 hr period.

Wallet started like a champ and couldn't wait to stake.

I'd go with Supercoin 2.0 for new ann.
Make it moderated in case the ass hats from the early community show up again.

I agree to make it moderated,
I remember when this community got hammered by others and I'm sure it was because this coin was such a threat.
In all the coins I have followed I have never seen such things happen as what happened with supercoin.
They succeded, and when there was nothing left they went away.

Does anyone know the contract address for funfair??
Is there more than one contract address?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] FunFair.io - Disrupting Online Gaming - New Casino Platform on: August 11, 2017, 09:27:43 AM
Is funfair a token on ethereum? If so why doesn't the ethereum wallet recognise it?

It does, what's the problem?

It doesn't show up in the latest ethereum wallet when you type in FUN. Other tokens work fine. Do you have a link to the contract abn?

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] IPO of MaidSafe:  Entering the Future of the Decentralized Internet on: June 07, 2017, 09:07:04 AM
From what I have read bitcoin will be going through a possible fork on 1 Aug. The outcome of this is not known and won't be known until it starts to happen and is realised.
This will effect maidsafe because these coins are on the bitcoin network. The future of maidsafe coins is now as uncertain as bitcoin. What is being done by maidsafe about this? what protections do maidsafe owners have?
It is even worrying that there is yet no mention of this within this comunity.
I think, BTC is very strong and rumors about fork are only rumors for market manipulation. MAID is solid project with light future, so do not panic.

The project may be strong but the value of the traded coins are only as secure as the what they are attached to.
Something will have to happen sooner or later with bitcoin and maidsafe are apart of that system, there is much reason to be concerned while this attachment exists.
There could be two chains, reply problems, and it could end up being outright war within bitcoin comunities, just because nothing has happened doesn't mean it wont occur.
When things start to happen people don't show their cards untill it is to late, so don't think you know an outcome before something happens whether now or later.

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Press Release: Musicoin Joins Enterprise Ethereum Alliance Today on: May 27, 2017, 07:50:45 AM
I dont think this coin has any incentive for musicians to use it because of the infinite coin supply and your assumption of future growth. There are many other crypto avenues being created for musicians to make money from their music, and more will probably come to light.
One of the fundimental lures of crypto is that they dont do what the banks do and thats make infinite money out of nothing, you are doing the same thing.
You can easily get caught in a downward spiral if at anytime not enough people use this coin. This can create its own catch 22 situation where it will not pick up enough interest, and if it does pick up at any time still runs the same perpetual problem.
It also doesn't incentivise musicians to hold onto their coins once earned for the same risks which adds to the problem.
I think musicians who want to make money will use other options.

Has anyone considered that they have raised far to much money than is needed with the sale of MobileGo . Which in itself will invite problems, corruption or another dao type problem.
How much money is really fair in developing this compared to how much is raised. It will be good to hear balanced understanding.

I may be wrong but I think they burnt through the ICO money and had to do some sort of other  capital raise.

Sorry I posted in the wrong thread this was not ment for maidsafe. Please ignore it and delete if can.

You can not complain that someone else will be marketing cheat money, which is your weakness, you should all learn. You advocate the set of political say that the right to monopoly, I think you are the same, you now hold 94% of the skycoin, the market value of nearly 100 million dollars, you are a person's currency, no community, you are the owner.

This statement is more truth than I have read throughout this thread. It is exactlly correct.
I'm sure it will be hard even impossible in crypto threads to find so many posts by the dev's about the corrupt things that exist in the world. Then when given the chance to initiate their own creation of money create the distribution that gives them virtually complete control over the money supply.
This is absolute hypocracy to the highest degree.

Is there a wallet?

Does anyone know or understand if there is an available wallet???
Main app = wallet. Download here - https://github.com/lbryio/lbry-app

How long until there is a simple download? as this github page looks confusing.

I take it that this connection provides the user interface, if that is the case is the wallet also as part if it?

Are there any video tutorials on how to set things up and what to expect?

were you looking for this ?

This is what I found but not sure how to use it, do I just download relevent stable release?
Does it contain a wallet to put lbry coins?

18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SKY] Skycoin Launch Announcement on: April 29, 2017, 01:59:31 AM
This post is for Skycoin and others interested in the success of this coin, and are my considerations of the situation.

Because All skycoins have have been created in genesis block, and becaause they were not distributed straight away.  This coin has created for itself a distribution nightmare.
To hold back coins and release when wanting to, whatever the excuses allows a situation to arise that will never, never be able to be explained away no matter how much you try.
It is not practical or reasonable to try and control the price in anyway.
The coin has to be able to carry itself to be successful.

There is only one way forward as far as I can see.
The only way forward I believe is to do an overall coin offering.
Decide on a price.
Keep a percentage for yourselves for developement and to pay what has been promised, this amount has to be know and reasonable.
Give the total supply being 100 million minus what has been sold as the coins available for the sale and whatever is not sold has to be burned into none existance.
Keeping the sale price low will ensure most if not all are sold.
Now let the free market do its thing.
I am quite sure there is no other solution to this problem this is why ethereum tokens are also done this way as its the only fair way when all coins exist from the beginning.

I would suggest a coin price of the average of the initial coin offerings.
In this way the developement team will be in the same boat as everyone else and they will still get their reward as the coin matures. I believe that this is the only fair and equatable way forward.

Seeing that knowone has as yet answered me I'll ask again. With the distribution model that has been proposed here for skycoin who makes the money of coins when they are sold at various times???
Maybe nobody answering because the last few pages were full of lenghtly posts about distribution and nobody feels the need to reward your extreme laziness?

Distirbution is being discussed heavily, we have slack and telegram to discuss distribution models. You can see both on the website

https://skycoin.net

Please join and get involved with the discussion.

Am I correct in understanding that the sale of future coins goes to "skycoin" from this thread and/or developers. I have been following this thread and it just seems obvious that whoever controls those coins receives the cash when they are sold off.
