So I was thinking about this, when a coin is new you can only mine using cpu. During that time you can mine a lot coins per day with only your CPU. Now if the project becomes successful then GPU mining won't be much profitable for long due to increased difficulty but you already hold a lot of coins from CPU mining.
I mean theorytically CPU mining is way more profitable then GPU mining, if you can get in at the right time. Could there be guys who only by mine by cpu(and making profit) even if they could easily afford gpu rigs

Basically what has happened by bitmain opening the floodgates to FPGA. All the hidden miners and manufactures are scrambling to dump what they have at premium before that market becomes diluted. Mining for the common man is done. What we see here is last ditch effort for people to make a buck. If you look at any industry that has been successeful and produces a great product has and will always be centralized. No one wants to wait for parts in the end. Comes down to time is money. Even if you outsource at first you will eventually look to making in house to save a buck. Centralization is inherrant in nature. To think btc and any other alt will somehow defy this is absolutely naive thinking af best. Negligent if you ask me. This system will go to the rich. If you have a dollar or two and want to learn/piss money in the wind then buy a couple cards. Don’t ever think you will Get rich. Bitmain and the likes a will see to it that doesn’t happen. Hell they are prolly behind most of the coins at this point. The trust in this system is eroding very fast. Until price drops down where even miners can’t be given away then and only then will we see a return of those that are in this for the right reasons. This has become a rich mans trick at this point. Don’t be fooled.
Best Regards
Definitely right. I do believe that a lot of big cap coins were created by Bitmain. They keep creating new drugs to get the kids hooked.

Pheonixminer for windows. On linux I like ethminer, it has no dev fee.

If you have to choose one out these 3 which will you choose for mining :
1. msi Armour 570 8gb
2. Sapphire pulse 570 4gb
3. Sapphire Nitro+ 580 4gb
Both 570 are priced same but 580 costs $50 extra.
I think i will choose Armour 570 because it is 8gb which might be useful for mining certain algos like Cryptonight but then I think it is inferior to Sapphire in quality or hashrate.
Edit : Also DAG is not a problem because eth will go POS before it crosses 4gb and I think there are better coins then ETH.

Now you can mine using Bminer.

Looking at replies, I think he did sold thousands of these "units".
As some people brought over 16 units, this also tell us about his commitment to not sell more than 4 units to a person.

yeah, choose RX570 8 GB if prepare for Dag Size until 4GB
but for performance, I choose RX580 4GB because have a bit different with RX570 such as GPU clock, Boost clock, Shading unit.
I am not worried about dag size. I don't mine ethereum, and by the time dag crosses 4gb ethereum will go pos. I think 8gb gives advantage on Cryptonight, just look at table.

Which gpu is better overall for mining
msi Armour rx 570 8gb or Sapphire Nitro+ Rx 580 4gb
Sapphire is $45 expensive. I think Armour is better because it has 8gb, right ? What would u choose.

Valerie says that there are still valid reasons for choosing the B3 ASIC miner over GPU mining. Lol what are those reasons ? Bitmain already has a bigger and better real ASIC and they probably have the frimware to upgrade B3 too but they will only realease both of them when they have mined enough BTM.

Just look at what HiveOS has and add those miners. HiveOS in my opinion is currently best mining OS out there, if you can improve on it then people will use ur OS.
If you really want to become a hit then I suggest adding new miners that are currently not added by other linux based mining OS. For ex. You can add tdxminer for lyra2z and Bytom miner etc.
Also u can support Vega gpus as currently HiveOS doesn't support it.
|
|
|
Is Vega supported now ? Last time I tried to mine, got bunch of errors.

Will this model be useful for mining or will it priced like Titan V.

What happens to old sumocoins that I mined on Cryptonight heavy ?

Do u think he sold 5000 of this scam ? I mean there were actually unlimited supply of these. How many units do u think he might have sold.
I would definitely not purchase right now. Wait a week for an eventual shipping and some 3rd party test and then you can think about buying into batch 2. Otherwise, stay as far away as you can You probably didn't understand me correctly but yes I know this is a scam, my comment is written on first page of this post saying that this is scam. I was just thinking how much money this scammer made.

Can someone tell me approx how much cpd I can get from RX 560 or 460 ? CPD that can be put in xpmforall calculator. Thank you

Good project and can become big if implemented nicely. I really like the AnyDesk feature. You need add more miners like Ethminer and other ccminer forks but definitely ethminer.
If you want to make your project really big and that too in a short time, I suggest adding new miners that have not been added by your competitors for ex. Tdxmimer for lyra2z, bytom miner and others.
Also adding support for Vega will make me use it as HiveOS has problems with Vega and I hate Win10.
