someone brought up Mindrust, and I hope that person is OK mentally given the conditions.

This entire forum could be compiled into a prophetic text. For the Old Testament and literal word of the creator, we have early devs and Satoshi. Then our New Testament is full of pages, with many parables from this WO thread. The pages of AdamsBigBlock, the parable of the R0ach, the parable of Mindrust, etc.

Really, our belief system is to not trust, but verify. And collectively, we all want that sweet church tax-break.

I have lost as much as him just because of a emergency I needed funds for before the market spiked and I was never able to get it back.

Sometimes reality really hates me. Smiley

He knows he made a mistake listening to his favorite astrologer (which I actually warned about) and doesn't need us to rub it in.

Taking enjoyment out of others misfortune is a sign of a very low moral compass.

Moral of the story is to always try to keep savings in because honey badger don't give a shit!

As I recall, he didn't lose anything.
I thought he just broke even and decided to get out with his $40k while (he figured) the gettin' was good?

He sold at the absolute bottom, that's losing in my mind.

*added:

IIRC he was listening to masterluc that said price would dump to 1500 from 4k so he fell prey to his fear and didn't listen to us.

103  Economy / Speculation / Judge issues restraining order keeping DOE from tracking bitcoin miners on: February 27, 2024, 08:01:34 PM
Quote
Earlier this month, the US Department of Energy (DOE) announced its intention to gather basic information about the energy consumed by bitcoin mining. In making the decision, the DOE noted that the share of bitcoin mining happening in the US has shot up by a factor of over 10 just within the last three years, leaving the activity consuming as much electricity as a fairly populous state.

To understand what this means for the US grid and its reliability, the DOE planned to gather information from large bitcoin mining operations within the US. But that plan has now been put on hold by a judge, who issued a restraining order against the DOE in response to a lawsuit filed by miners. In the decision, the judge suggested that bitcoin miners' issues with the plan were likely to see it permanently blocked.

It occurred to me that o_e_l_e_o's behavior reminds me of Jussie Smollett, who faked a hate crime against himself: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jussie_Smollett_hate_crime_hoax

Just like Jussie Smollett was framing white people to promote himself, o_e_l_e_o framed open source privacy projects to promote his "mixing sites".

Heehhe we should do something similar to this. We should make the bottom placer have an embarassing avatar or personal message for 1 week. I am quite certain we can ask permission from the loser's campaign manager to allow the participant to wear something different for 1 week.
That would be fun, actually my personal message was inspired by those kind of stories, during the first FF season we had I was the one that came up on last place and as a sort of punishment I put that personal message in place, but I left it there for so long that I have become fond of it and whenever I have the chance I put in my profile once again.

I was thinking that and always found it amusing as your one of the best of us. Smiley

There is an anti CBDC bill in the US already, I don't think this guy is sticking his neck out in the slightest by being against CBDCs.
But he seriously wants to get clicks with his strange-face thumbs..

Support whoever you want, but, again, imo his recommendation of "crypto" is a disqualifier for this being a good video for newbs...

My bad I missed the list of lawyers speaking out against this shit, you wanna toss me the list.

what does that has to do with the fact that he is recommending "crypto", which I find to be not suitable for noobs?

Bolded is what I'm replying to.

This guy is good to share with nubs that have zero clue.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PeQNAmoUXvE

sorry, but no!
No good idea to share videos that don't make any distinction between "crypto" and Bitcoin. This guy is talking way too much about the former.

The shitcoin trap is probably the most dangerous that newbs run into.

Lawyer warning about the CBDC trap is what we need more of and I'm not going to shit on him because he is not a maxi.

CBDC info, sure I'll give you that.  But in conclusion he's recommending "crypto".  And imo that's a no no to newbs.
Don't get me started on how much of my time I used explaining to newb friends why shitcoins are a bad idea.

And you don't need to be a maxi to see that 95%+ of "crypto" are scams.

It takes time for people to get a clue, you cant alienate them in the learning process.

And people like him that are putting their necks on the line fighting against government oversight need our support not derision because they are not perfect by our standards.

Yep it's all here:

http://nitter.net/TiffanyFong_   (you can also try Twitter but Nitter is nicer)

That site won't load in my Firefox.

Quote from: Firefox
nitter.net has a security policy called HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), which means that Firefox can only connect to it securely. You can’t add an exception to visit this site.

Maybe it wont work because your browser doesn't allow legacy http connections?

put this in the address bar: about:preferences#privacy
hit enter
scroll way down the page and look for HTTPS-Only Mode
you can disable it (probably not a great idea) or add an exception for nitter.net

If that's not it, it might be your operating system or perhaps your anti-virus/malware software?

Nice thinking xhomerx10, but I had already HTTPS-Only Mode disabled. The wording of Firefox's error message makes me think it is Nitter that insists on https.

I've had the same issue and I cannot disallow the security cert as it states the site is requiring the cert.

What can you do about it?

The issue is most likely with the website, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it. You can notify the website’s administrator about the problem.

JUST IN: First photo of Sam Bankman-Fried in jail at MDC Brooklyn. (December 17, 2023)

Source: @TiffanyFong_

What do you think? Real or staged?

Looks like he's already become the prison gangbang cum bucket bitch.

Nice.

Hate to burst your bubble but that guy on the far right looks like the one making 5k a month making sure Sammy boys cornhole doesn't get turned inside out.

These pieces of shit never pay even when they do get busted.

Maybe his mother could just go in there and have a word with those boys.  One return flight from Cali would be much cheaper and she looks tougher than anyone in that photo.

Look at those eyes - black as ink... that mother-fucker isn't real!

Yeah, she could sub in for the devil with no effort!

I bet she's the one footing the bill and taught him every piece of shit move he knows.

I will also give XFL a chance. It appears everyone in this thread will watch it? I hope I will like it and the theory of relativity occurs to make the 6 months of waiting feel it was only 1 month.

Pains me to say it but I suppose probably will as well. I'm gonna be jonesing for more football pretty soon. Although, and I'm pretty sure I mentioned it last season as well, fiending for the XFL after the end of the NFL is the equivalent to being out of weed and having to scrape the resin from the inside of a pipe in order to achieve some kind of dubious high. Its not nearly the same thing as the real deal but if you're desperate enough or have a good enough imagination, it almost is.
I will make an attempt as well to watch the UFL, but for what I can see they are making the same mistake they did last season, one of the things I like about the NFL is that no matter what, I can wake up on a Sunday and I know when there is going to be a game, I may not know who is playing but I can pick the match I like the most and watch it, but the schedule of the UFL is all over the place, it is not as bad as last year but for sure there is room for improvement.

That was a problem with the USFL, xfl never had that issue.

Looks like now that Fox has their claws in it they are pulling their little sabotage attempts again.

If you can't beat then then join them and take them out from within.

I'm sorry if that makes you a sad little boy.
Haha, I have been offered to get in on P&D dumps by quite a few scamcoins but I have integrity, something you obviously do not.

Calling someone "sad little boy" and claiming to possess integrity fits very well. Roll Eyes
You lost all your credibility by posting something "stupid" like that.

That seems somehow to be a character trait for those coin gurus with self called integrity.

Remember the time the bitcoin devs declared dash's instant send snake oil and scam?
You know that instant send worked flawless all this years?

It is mind blowing to me how eager this high intelligent people destroy their reputation by behaving and posting entierly stupid things. And it is worrying at the same time.
